Pull the power cord from both the wall and the printer for 10 minutes.  Plug back in and try again.  If that does not work, either the printer or the power supply is toast.

It is in recovery mode. The picture is telling you to connect to iTunes via micro usb cable in order to restore.

  • Why is that whenever there's a power outage or whenever I restart my computer sometimes my iMac wont completely load up? It will just  show a blank white screen. It will do that for a few days until it decides to fully load up.

First step would be a PRAM reset.

Post back if that does not work.
The next step would be to try "Repair Disk".

  • Display doesn't work after power outage

The electricity was knocked out in my neighborhood for a few hours and when it was finally restored I found that my display no longer works. It is getting no power at all. None of the lights on the front of the display are working--it's totally dead.
No settings or connections were changed during the time when there was no electricity. So it's obviously a result of the power outage, right? I had it plugged into a surge protector (which I thought was supposed to be a safeguard against exactly this type of occurence) so I'm wondering if that has somehow saved me--only there's some secret Mac trick that needs to be done to get my display back to life.
Can anyone please help me? This economy is strangling me to death--I simply cannot afford to buy a new display at this point.

I just realized that I never actually asked my question (duu-uuuh):
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to figure out (without having to spend any money) if my problem is only with the power supply or if the entire display is just garbage at this point?
Or perhaps someone has experienced this situation, was able to resolve it and knows what I should do to make my display functional again?

  • HT1212 I downloaded the latest software on mini ipad. It now asks me for password which I never had before and I have tried various passwords only for ipad to be disabled. Is there any way to restart my ipad without losing my data especially  my photos

I have a mini ipad and recently downloaded the latest os.I now can't access without a password which I didn't use before. My ipad has been disabled as I don't know what password to use.Is there any way I can enable my ipad with a new password without losing my info and data especially photos?

You used the data.  Verizon can not see what it was sued for.  However your phone can see whats apps used the data.  go to settings-data usage- there will be a place that says data usage cycle.  line the dates up with your cycle.  then there will be a bar graph below that   extend bother white bars one all the way to the left and one all the way to the right.  after those are extended below that will be a list of apps,  there should be one that used over 2 gb and that will show you what app used that data in her purse

  • Iphone 4 will not hold a charge or power on since update, if it does power on (while on charger) it only displays itunes icon and USB cord...and suggestions?

Not sure what to do, this is my first apple produst... HELP PLEASE!!!! im so used to android haha

Unfortunatly it sounds like something has gone very wrong when updating your iPhone. Its possible that some files on your phone may have become corrupt while the update was taking place. To be on the safe side, I would do as above and see if the problem still exist.

  • Some of my photos in my slide shows (which worked before) suddenly show up black. They are visible on the upper part but not on the screen. What's wrong?

Some of my pictures in my slideshows suddenly show up black. They worked before. I've tried editing to no avail; if I double click the pic in the upper bar it flashes for a nanosecond and disappears again. Since many are from the same place and only some are black, I don't know what to make of it. Help!

    Apply the fix below:
    Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start with Option #1, followed by #3 and then #4 as needed.

  • Apple TV I have to re-start after every power outage.  Is this normal?  I have gen 3

After all power outages.  I have to re-set my Apple TV.  Is this normal?   I have had this device for 8 months and its become a pain!

Many thanks guys for the response. there are still problems that i didn;t put here: 1: Storage (USB) is really slow; 2: Config restore is not working (I used to think this is not a problem while i changed my mind after reading some of the search results of the product); 3: Device will get back to work after power outage ONLY if you leave everything to be factory default, as long as you changed ANY setting, you lose your connection after power break. I will return this piece, and go back to D-link. I bought this router for my boss and i can not afford losing my job because of it. Sorry for this decision in Linksys forum, but, it leaves me no choice.

  • Power outage before Mac finished updating.  What should I do?

My Mac was in the process of installing updates via Apple Software Update. For this update session, a restart was required - i.e. a message box popped up and said I had to restart to finish installing updates. So I clicked the button on the message box that would cause the Mac to restart.
After clicking the button, and before actually restarting, my Mac logged out of my account and went back to the default "space" desktop image where it finished some more updating (i.e. there was a message box with a growing blue bar representing the percentage of the update process that was finished).
Unfortunately, the blue bar had almost reached the end when my Mac suddenly shut down. It had not restarted, but actually shut down, and I couldn't turn it back on again. I checked my phone, microwave, refrigerator, which had all also turned off, and realized there had been a power outage while my Mac was updating.
After I got the power back on and turned on my Mac, the Mac seemed to start up normally and work fine. I tried Software Update again because I thought it might allow me to fully retry the update since it didn't finish fully due to the unfortunately timed power outage. However, it said that my software was fully up-to-date.
I have tried a few programs out so far and it seems to work fine for the most part. The only thing I've noticed is that Safari has been acting a bit strangely. For example, the cursor no longer changes into a hand over hyperlinks; instead it remains as an arrow. Second, whenever I click on any search result on Google, I get the following message (in this example, I clicked on the first search result for my search for "test"): "Redirect Notice The previous page is sending you to http://www.test.com/. If you do not want to visit that page, you can return to the previous page." Third, the full version of Gmail no longer works and I have to use the HTML version. I'm not sure whether these are glitches in the newest version of Safari or if they are a result of the computer not finishing the update process properly.
I haven't tried all software out yet, and I don't remember the full list of software being updated, so issues may potentially exist in other software caused by the update not finishing properly.
One other thing that occurred was that the first time I shut the computer down after turning it on after the power outage, a message popped up on the "space" desktop image after logging out, which said it was updating the system cache or something. But now the computer seems to shut down normally.
This might be a newbie question, but what could I do to address this issue? Thanks for any help.

Perhaps. You can always reinstall the OS from the install discs you got when you bought the machine. After you have done that re-install 10.6.3.
The #1 thing you do before any major update is make sure you have a back up of your system. I know I'm preaching to the choir but perhaps this is something you can take to the person that stopped that from occurring the first time.

  • Is there a way to recover a word document that was auto saved before a power outage?

I was working on a document that was previously saved, went to the save the darn thing, and of course the power zapped out.  It was in word 2010? and even when searching for "AutoRecovery" files it is not there.  just the original document opens, not the modified one.  Please if anyone knows how to find a recovered one, or if it is even possible can you let me know.
    Thanks!

I was assuming you meant 2011 and not 2010 since 2010 is a Windows version and not Mac
First a disclaimer, right now I am on a PC and not my Mac so there may not be a one-to-one matchup.
Clicking on the main Word drop down, this may be under Preferences, I have a Word Options button.  From there do you have Allow Background Saves checked?  Also, the button File Locations; find AutoRecover Files and see where those are located.  Then using Finder, go to that location and see if you can find a file with a date/time stamp for the time of the power outage.  If there is a file, open and see if that is what you need.
If there are no files, or cannot find the recovery file location, there may not be much option than to try and redo all the work up to the power outage.  Word is supposed to auto save, and take you to the last saved form of files before an exit that is not according to the rules...it is supposed to do that, or so it claims.

  • T61 hangs after power outage

    Anyone every hear of this
I have several T61's that when the power drops the pcs hang up and need to be powered down and restarted to get everything back up and running
They are in docking stations when this happens and vary between xp sp3 and vista machines.

I don't think that it is the power OUTAGE that is the problem but the power SURGE that is created when a large building comes back online at the same time. I just called one of the ladies in the other building and had her pull power supply and plug it back in, NO problem. That building has a natural gas generator that is supposed to kick in but they had to work on it several times. When I was there during one of the split second outages, My desktop monitor turned off for a brief second but the PC didn't die. But 6 of the T60's had to be reset, other brands of laptops or older model IBM's were OK, ???????

  • Apple tv was working fine until power outage.  Now stuck on Computers and Settings Icons.  Cannot get back to normal function.

Apple TV was installed and functional until power outage.  Now I am stuck on Computers and Settings Icons and cannot get back to normal operation.  Can get to settings which  I have tried many times.  Any thoughts?

Happened once to me also following a nasty storm
One of the 2 things worked for me (can't recall which):
    1. Power down everything. UNPLUG  your apple TV and whatever it's connected to, including the power cord and the HDMI cable (disconnect at both ends) Wait a minute or two.
    Reconnect everything: Restart.
    2. Totally Reset the Apple TV (this is more work since you'll need to add all your settings)
Whatever worked: My Apple TV resurrected itself (unfortunately can't say the same for my DVD player).
    3. Lastly, the timing of the storm could be a cooincidence - this happened to someone else here (no storm invoived) and it turned out to be a temporary outage at Apple. see this: https://discussions.apple.com/message/18027331#18027331
For the future, if you've grown paranoid...
I always unplug my computer for heavy storms (on the advice of a techie at power protection company), But  These days, if a storm is really severe (or very extended) I also unplug my AV equipment. the The ATV is chump change compared to the cost of my other components - but I've grown really dependant on it.
Remember: Surge suppressors will take the first hit, but often that's it, their circuitry can then get blown. Also if you do unplug power,  Unplug power for everything (very easy by connecting everything to a Surge suppressor) just don't forget RF Cables or ethernet cables (If you leave your router connected).
Personally, I leave my router on, and am willing to rebuy if neccessary, in order to at least access my laptops, and iPad. BUT this means I have to unplug the ethernet cables.
Good luck, doubt your ATV is toasted if anything comes up.

  • Firefox worked before, but now, when i try to start it, i get and error "We're sorry. Firefox had a problem and crashed". I tried to reinstall it, to reboot, nothing helps.

    Hi,
Firefox worked before, but one time my system crashed. When I rebooted, Firefox won't start anymore. All I got is a pop-up window, saying We're sorry. Firefox had a problem and crashed. We'll try to restore your tabs and windows when it restarts. Problem is it never restarts. When I press Restart Firefox button, I get the same message. I tried to reinstall Firefox, to make a new profile, rebooted the system, nothing works. What can be done ? Thank-you.

Of course I checked firefox crashes. I searched and haven't found my problem. I used Firefox 5 when it happened, then, seeing it doesn't work no matter what I do, I upgraded to 6. The same problem. So it's not 5 or 6 related. Computer probably wrote something to hard disk when it crashed and now the file is corrupted and prevents Firefox from starting. I don't know what file (or part of the registry) is. I could erase everything, but that would mean I will lose every Firefox settings and I don't want that. Now I am using Google Chrome to write this. I miss my Firefox. :( What else can I do ?
This is the error I get when I try to start Firefox:
