Psd "styles" lost in FCatalyst

i can not import styles coated text to FC, fonts turn basic color? Does anyone got the same result?

Layers to which styles and effects are applied in Photoshop files must be flattened on import to preserve their appearance. You can either choose to flatten all text layers in the initial Import dialog, or click the Advanced button and choose individual layers to flatten. The same behavior holds true for Flash Professional, though Flash Pro flattens all layer types by default.

  • SharePoint 2013 RTE Custom Styles lost on Team Site Wiki Page after you select a control in the editor

    I have a weird issue in that I have custom RTE styles working fine in publishing pages, but in the team site wiki page, when you first go into edit mode you see your styles, but if you highlight some text, select say the font drop down to expand it and then
    select it again to contract it (i.e. without selecting a font), all of a sudden all of the custom styles are lost and everything reverts back to the default RTE styles.
    In my master page I am running the following script to force my styles to be loaded.
    ExecuteOrDelayUntilScriptLoaded(
    function() {
         $(
    "div[RteRedirect]").each(function()
    varid = $(this).attr("RteRedirect"),
             editSettings = $(
    "#"+ id);
    if(editSettings.length > 0 &&
    editSettings[0].PrefixStyleSheet != 'custom-rte')
                 editSettings[0][
    'PrefixStyleSheet'] =
    'custom-rte';
                 editSettings[0][
    'StyleSheet'] =
    '\u002f_layouts\u002f15\u002fFiveP\u002frteStyles.css';
                 RTE.Canvas.fixRegion(id,
    false);
    "sp.ribbon.js");
    See below screenshots (note Heading 2 is orange).
    After you collapse the font menu, you see that the orange H2 has disappeared, and selecting the font drop down again now shows all of the default SharePoint RTE styles.
    I haven't been able to capture the Event that is being called using the debugger. Any ideas how to fix this?

  • Opacity & transparency related layer styles lost on rasterize/flatten/merge down (cs6)

    So I'm working on a project and I'm making a button and I have come across an issue that I don't normally have with this particular button...I'm not sure why it's happening or how to fix it...but it's pretty annoying. I'm wondering if anyone can help out or if it's a known bug or anything like that!
    So, I have three folders for the three different states, and within each folder are multiple layers, some with layer styles (it seems to be gradients that are playing up here, and opacity related), some with no layer styles but just lowered opacity. I need to flatten each of the folders to create the button sprites. The problem is...I go to flatten the folder and it appears to turn off any gradient related layer styles, and anything at a lowered opacity is ramped up to 100%. I tried going through and rasterizing the invidiual offending layers. Same problem. I tried creating blank layers and merging down the offending layers. Same problem.
    I'm stumped! Image examples below:
    This problem is messing with my mojo! Any help appreciated!! (and yes, my adobe is all patched up and updated)... I feel like I haven't had to deal with problems flattening transparency for many versions....

    Generally speaking you can't expect to collapse groups of adjustment layers into a single layer and hope for much of anything useful to come of it.
    If you've gotten Photoshop showing what you want to see, what's the problem with leaving the groups as they are, then just doing Save As (e.g., PNG) to store your work products?
    Can you save a small PSD file and make it available online, so we can look carefully inside it to see what you're doing?

  • Font style lost

    I created a PDF from my .DOC file but lost the font style with the conversion.
    Is there a way to oreserve the original font characteristics?

  • Template link to css styles lost

    Hi, why, when I create a new page based a template, does the link to the css style sheet become broken?
    I can see in the code of the new page that ".."  is missing from the "../" in the url to the style sheets – but the template has the correct links in place.
    Previous pages buolt using the same template(s) work fine.  This appears to be a problem that has just occurred.
    If anyone hs any clues, that would be much appreciated.
    RP

    All sorted!  Copied all existing files to a new folder, then Site > New Site, chose the new folder, recreated the site cache and hey presto!
    I managed to do something myself!
    Hope this helps somebody else in the same fix!

  • Character Styles lost when reopening a document

    Having set Character Styles as usual (in this case with green type), when I reopened the same document all the type to which I had previously applied styles all reverted to black. When I checked the Character Styles list the green was as exactly as I had specified it, but it nevertheless displayed as black in the document.
    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks Monika. I think I went through all the steps mentioned in the post you suggested, including loading swatches first. The problem is that I'm working on a map with hundreds of names already positioned – I simply want to change the font and other attributes without having to retype all the names. This is fine until I close the document and reopen it when, annoyingly, most of the names (not all of them, oddly) display in black. Fortunately, each class of name (towns, rivers, etc) are on a different layer, so it's not altogether difficult to reapply styles – just annoying that I should need to do it at all.
    From what I've read, this appears to be an ongoing problem. I'm using CC on a Mac, btw.

  • WPC page styles lost after upgrade to SP15

    Hi experts,
    I had created few web sites and pages with WPC SP 13.
    But after i upgraded to WPC SP15, all the previous styles of SP13 were changed.
    I would like to retrieve the styles of SP13.
    Is there any way to achieve this? I do have a back up copy of the folder wpceditor. But I tried replacing the current folder with this old one. Even then, the previous styles are not available.
    Can anyone help me ?
    Thanks alot

  • PDF-form looses text style on another computer

    I created a PDF-form with text fields using our corporate font. My colleague has to open it in the Preview and insert text into those fields (she has corporate font installed). But while opening and typing the text, she got my text style lost (corporate font and probably its size). What should I do for she types in my forn and get the same text style as I have? Thank you.
    Arina.

    Do NOT use Apple Preview to open PDF forms. It corrupts them in various ways and is very buggy.
    Stick with Adobe software for best results.

  • How to recover a previous version of a PSD after closing the file

    I made a mistake flattening a PNG and accidentally saved over the original PSD and lost all of my layers. In my efforts to find a way to recover it before attempting to rebuild from the flattened image, I found this post:
    "Hmm,I just did a stupid action .
    I opened my psd file ,removed some images and layers ,and then I saved it and closed my photoshopCS4.
    However ,I did not want to save it actually !!! I made a mistake !
    That's my two days work !
    I want to revert my file to last saved version.
    Is there anyway to revert it ?
    Or is there anyway to find my last version file such as in temp file (however ,i don't know where it is)?
    Please help me ! "
    But no one had an answer to my/our problem, but I found a solution very shortly thereafter!
    This program "Recuva" worked for me: https://www.piriform.com/recuva
    I accidentally flattened, saved, and exited a version of a project I was working on. I installed this program, which found the old version and recovered it. Installation to recovery took about 3 minutes total.
    I could not find the "Reply" anywhere so I assumed the discussion was closed. However, I want to help so I am starting this discussion to spread the word for other troubled users. I hope it helps.

    Thanks again Jeff, I really appreciate it.

  • Save as PSD question

    Hi.
    Does anybody knows how to save doc as PSD with doc.saveAs() command but without compatibility mode to reduce file size?

    OK. It works and saveAs() function too. I just checked this. But only when a file contains layers or no background.
    It seems that this is photoshop feature, that when i save flattened PSD it losts its noncompatibility mode.
    And when i make it layered and save it again, it will be saved then with compatibility mode.
    It seems that this problem has no solution
    Sorry to bother you.

    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
    in place of this:
    <html>
    <head>
    either things will be improved or there will be something else cropping up. I opt for the former, myself!

  • Splash page with animated gif only question

    Hello all:
    I have a splash page (index.html) that is designed using an animated gif created in photoshop. The rest of my site is Css/XHTML, but has some divs containing animated gifs. I have two questions;
    1: By using only the animated gif on the splash page, am I limiting or hindering my SEO (google, microsoft, yahoo) ranking opportunities as there is no "content" on the page that the spiders/bots can see? I went ahead and included some "content" but hid it by coloring the type the same as the background color hoping that might do something, but obviously I'm a SEO newbie so any suggestions are more than welcomed. I will include the code at the end of this post, and my site is: http://reynolds-marketing.com.
    2. Is there a way to pre-load the animated gifs on my pages so that they play more smoothly and efficiently?
    TIA for any of your help. Murman

    My guess is yes, but that is just my opinion.  I believe the text/background same color idea was really in vogue back in the late 90's and we all heard that it was the kiss of death for SEO that the SE's hated them so much you got de-listed, not sure if that is a fact or not.
    My bigger concern would be how many people you are losing by making them wait to get to where they want to go.  I have told many a client that in some sense, the interent is too big, you have too much competition and people have thin patience for things like splash pages.  The ooo and aaa effect of animated gifs is long dead...again, in my opinion.
    I dont know the answer to your load question...

  • Why does my font color change when I add an image to InDesign?

    Hello, I am doing a page layout in InDesign and I am using a light blue font for my title but when I add an image from Photoshop, the font color turns dark blue. When I open the InDesign file in Adobe Acrobat, my title is still dark blue. It's only when I make a PDF of the file in Acrobat and open it in the Safari browser that the title goes back to its original light blue font. Is there something I can do to fix this? Thank you!

    Not a good idea. The flattened PSD has lost all its layers, adjustments, and effects. I hope you don’t need to edit it or change any layer’s visibility. Either that or you now have two files to keep track of and have neutered InDesign’s Edit Original feature. Better to take Peter’s advice and place the text above the image so it is not affected by transparency flattening. If you need the text below because you want the drop shadow to interact with the text, then use Overprint Preview (View menu) or Separations Preview (Window > Output) to get a more accurate view of the text colour.

  • Shed some light on this issue please.

    Ok guys and gals, forgive me if this is asked alot I tried to seach the topic first.
    I am a 3d graphics major and know very little about web development but have some basic knowledge. My new boss has put me in charge of setting up our webpage.
    Ok for starters I made this awesome concept in Photoshop, and sliced it up exported to Xhtml and CSS. It opened up great in dreamweaver, I had a few qustions on thngs. But those can wait. I started off w/ a very advanced design for a beginner, and decided to just go back and dumb it down for now while I learn, and for the sake of getting my point across in this thread.
    here is my slice setup:
    Header, Footer, Nav, 3 content headers, and the columns where we will post updates in each column (news, events, and media).
    Ok my code right out of the Photoshop export looks like this.

    Now that everythings on the table, here is my problem, I hope its an easy fix.
    How do I add text in Dreamweaver ontop of the slices I made....mainly those three content columns I made. I know I could just edit the text onto the images before export, but I plan on having to edit this page alot content wise.

    I am a 3d graphics major and know very little about web development but have some basic knowledge. My new boss has put me in charge of setting up our webpage.
    You have my condolences.  I hope your new boss is willing to pay you while you learn basic web design skills, too.  It's a little shocking to me that anyone in their right mind would place something so important (their company web site) into the hands of an inexperienced site developer.  This would be like taking your sick child or pet to an inexperienced doctor.
    First off, Photoshop is a great graphics editor but it is a terrible html code generator.  Use Photoshop to make comps, slice and optimize images for the web.  Do not let it create your code for you.  This feature is only intended for quick prototypes to show the client during the design phase.  It is not intended to be used as a production site.
    Second, bookmark and read through  the tutorials below.  DW is a powerful tool but it's only as good as the skills you bring to the table.
    Third, if this is your first site in DW,  don't try & get get too fancy your first time out.  Keep your layout simple, clean, uncluttered.  The less complicated you make your first site, the better.
    Good luck,
