Psd use from Lr cc to muse cc

I develop in Lr round trip to Photoshop for actions & use the psd file for various projects. When I place the psd in Muse the photo appears flat, but if I export to jpg then place the photo is good.
http://www.squinkyeyephoto.com/banner.html  top photo is psd bottom jpg,kinda obvious
I posed same question to the Muse folks... thoughts..?

Understanding how Muse optimizes images when you publish or export a site
The bk-map.gif image you just placed in the master page was created in Adobe Photoshop® software with the web in mind. You can also place print-ready images into Muse, which will convert them into a web-friendly format. However, making images friendly for the web often means compressing the image and sacrificing some image quality. Placing images into Muse that are not web ready results in automatic compression. If you publish or export a site and are dissatisfied with the automated results, experiment by creating and optimizing your own web-friendly images manually in Photoshop or Adobe Fireworks® software. Delete the original images and place the new optimized images in the pages, and then publish or export your site again.
Be aware that other alterations you make to an image in Muse—such as cropping, resizing, or adding bevels, shadows, and glows—result in Muse re-creating the image for you and automatically compressing it. If you want more control over the optimization process, you can add effects to an image using Photoshop or Fireworks, optimize the file in an image-editing program, and then place the image in Muse to set the level of compression yourself. You can place PSD files from Photoshop directly in Muse, rather than exporting PNG, JPG, or GIF files—but that will also cause Muse to automatically generate a new image file using its own automatic compression algorithms.

  • How do I use Edge Web Fonts with Muse?

    How do I use Edge Web Fonts with Muse - is it an update to load, a stand alone, how does it interface with Muse? I've updated to CC but have no info on this.

    Hello,
    Is there a reason why you want to use Edge Web Fonts with Adobe Muse?
    Assuming you wish to improve typography of your web pages, you should know that Muse is fully integrated with Typekit. This allows you to access and apply over 500 web fonts from within Muse. Here's how you do it:
    Select a text component within Muse, and click the Text drop-down.
    Select Add Web Fonts option, to pop-open the Add Web Fonts dialog.
    Browse and apply fonts per your design needs.
    Muse also allows you to create paragraph styles that you can save and apply to chunks of text, a la InDesign. Watch this video for more information: http://tv.adobe.com/watch/muse-feature-tour/using-typekit-with-adobe-muse/
    Also take a look at these help files to see if they help you:

  • What Is the best way to upload and download psd files from Photoshop to Photoshop Touch? [was:Re]

    What Is the best way to up load and down load psd files from desktop photo shop to photo shop touch? For on the go touch up or. I'm using psd files at 90 percent 300 depi when in photo shop on desktop. To ps touch

    Hi Bford225,
    I'd recommend using your favorite web browser and going to https://creative.adobe.com/files for uploading from the computer.
    Keep in mind tablet capabilities are much less than a computer, so large files might take a long time to download and be very system intensive to work on. Although you can import files up to 12 megapixels I'd recommend something more mid range, like 6 or 7 megapixels, ie 2880 x 2160 or 3072 x 2304.
    Also, PSD files are flattened when imported into Photoshop Touch.
    Hope that helps,
    -Dave

  • Transparent edges in psd exported from Illustrator

    Hello Community,
    I have something going on when I export from Illustrator as a PSD using the artboard. It ends up with a line of transparency around the edges, and is larger than the size of the art exported. It gains about .01 inch around the edges, and when I use 'trim transparent pixels' in Photoshop, it trims it down so it has only gained .07 inches around the edges, but doesn't lose the last line of pixels that are semi-transparent. I am using a script that exports it, then re-imports it and places it in the Illustrator file, effectively swapping the vector for raster. It's part of a larger process I have no control of, so the process is not something I can change, otherwise I wouldn't do that.
    Why is it exporting with this line of transparency on the edges? It's causing white lines to show up in the file that it gets reimported to. Until now it was ok because it only shows in the bleed, which gets trimmed off. From now on, though, this process is supposed to be used for non-bleed items, and the white lines are showing up. Attached is a closeup of an example.
    Does anyone have any ideas how to stop it from happening?
    Cheers,
    Emmy Williford

    Ok I got it you have two choices to get rid of this problem this is what I found out.
    if you export the file with the choice of art optimize or type optimize you will get this antialias artifact if you choose none as the optimize option then you will not get this anti alas artifact since there is no anti alias being applied.
    The second choice is to turn on align to pixel grid and then you can export with art or type optimze as an anti alias option and this artifact will not be present.
    You have a third option and that is to keeep your optimization options and set the color background shape to align to pixel grid on the object level and not the document level using the align to pixel grid option in the transform panel you have to show options in the transform panel to see this option.
    Here is  no align to lixel grid with none for optimizing
    Here it is with Art Optimized
    Here it is with Type Optimized
    Here it it with art optimized and align to pixel grid document wide
    Here it is with the background object only set to align to pixel grid
    I hope this gives you the options you need

  • How can I use brandon grotesque font in muse?

    Hi, I wanted to use brandon grotesque font in muse as it is a web font in typekit, but i cannot find it in the "web fonts' section in Muse, how can i bring it from Typekit to Muse?

    Mark the text you want to assign to the font.
    Access the Text drop-down box.
    Select Add Web Fonts.
    Muse will open up the available Fonts through Typekit.
    Select the font, double click to import.
    Note: the font you want to add doesn't exist in Muses' Typekit library.
    I am not sure if you can add a Typekit font that is outside of Muse's library.

  • How to import color palettes from Adobe Kuler to muse ?

    How can I  import color palettes from Adobe Kuler to muse ?

    I've looked for an answer to this but no luck so far. Until Adobe add this feature to Muse you could try this work around:
    1. Import a Kuler .ase file into Illustrator (or Photoshop too I guess)
    2. Select the desired colour in Illustrator and note the RGB values
    3. Create new swatches in Muse and use the noted RGB values rather than the colour picker.
    Hope this helps.

  • Damaged Psd file from improper usb eject

    I was using a somewhat loose fitting usb device to store one of the files I was working on. Unfortunately my mac had "issues" and needed to be manually shut off with the usb still plugged in. Anyway, I go to open the psd file from the device and I get this error message "This document contains photshop data which appears to be damaged. Continue and ignore the photoshop data?" I clicked okay and then I get this message "Could not complete your request because the file is not compatible with this version on photoshop."
    I am in dire need of help. Stupidly that was the only device I saved this psd file on. I've been working on it for days. Is there any way to get that file back?
    Any help would be great!
    -Alexis

    If you are (extremely) lucky, you may be able to open the flattened composite or an embedded thumbnail preview in Graphic Converter or in Illustrator, but your layers are most likely toast.

  • Will iPhoto accept in its library a PSD file from Elements 12 Editor?

    I have Elements 12 on my Macbook.  I have duplicate libraries with the iPhoto library and the Elements Organizer.  I know I can set up a filing system with Smart Albums in iPhoto but I don't know if I use the Elements 12 Editor if iPhoto will accept a PSD file from that Editor.

    iPhoto doesn't like psd files from anywhere. JPEG and TIFF are the way to go. Why are you keeping duplicate copies of all your photos? Eventually you should choose one organizer or another. Aside from making you crazy, you'll run of disk space pretty fast, unless you have hardly any photos.

  • Could I use graphics svg in Adobe Muse?

    Hello, I'm looking for is it posible import graphics svg in Adobe Muse.
    Thanks and regards

    @Nathan – I'm relative new to Muse so bear with me…
    I also tried using the width and height controls in Muse to resize after pasting in the SVG code. Didn't work as expected. Rotating the SVG was no problem, scaling was. Maybe there is something in the code I'm using from Illustrator, that is preventing this.
    Here some SVG code from Illustrator that is defining width, height, viewBox etc.pp.:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <!-- Generator: Adobe Illustrator 15.1.0, SVG Export Plug-In . SVG Version: 6.00 Build 0)  -->
    <!DOCTYPE svg PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD SVG 1.1//EN" "http://www.w3.org/Graphics/SVG/1.1/DTD/svg11.dtd">
    <svg version="1.1" id="Ebene_1" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" x="0px" y="0px"
        width="54px" height="50px" viewBox="0 0 54 50" enable-background="new 0 0 54 50" xml:space="preserve">
    However, I looked up the SVG documentation at:
    Coordinate Systems, Transformations and Units – SVG 1.1 (Second Edition)
    and found some ways to scale the SVG. I'm not through with my testing, but it seems, that changing the viewBox parameters could be sufficient to scale the whole SVG graphic.
    Or we could use the transform property to get scaling properly. If we enclose the pure graphic code with the g tag, we could use transform like this:
    <svg>
    <desc>Scales the element enclosed with g to 200% (uniform scaling in x and y)</desc>
    <g transform="scale(2)">
    <desc>Include the code for the graphic here</desc>
    </g>
    </svg>
    For none-uniform scaling (x and y scaled differently) you could use a second argument in scale() :
    <svg>
    <desc>Scales the element enclosed with g to 250% in x direction and 300% in y direction</desc>
    <g transform="scale(2.5 3)">
    <desc>Include the code for the graphic here</desc>
    </g>
    </svg>
    Also possible is the insertion of the title tag like this:
    <svg>
    <desc>Scales the element enclosed with g to 250% in x direction and 300% in y direction</desc>
    <g transform="scale(2.5 3)">
    <desc>Include the code for the graphic here</desc>
    <title>This is my SVG graphic</title>
    </g>
    </svg>
    So if you mouse over the graphic in the browser you'll get a tool tip what the graphic is about.

  • How do i import PSD's from my Computer and keep layers?

    How do i import PSD's from my Computer and keep the layers?
    I have tried using the creative cloud but it is pretty much a useless feature when it only imports PSD's as JPG, deleting all the layers.

    I believe that PSDs imported into PS Touch simply are flattened; they are not converted to JPG. I think this was done to protect the integrity of the app. (The number of layers available in PS Touch are much more limited due to the hardware. It's like 16 I believe vs. the theoretical thousands or so layers in Photoshop.) You can, of course, do the reverse (save as PSD in PS Touch and have the integrity of the layers preserved in Photoshop).

  • Are people using or incorparating dreamweaver with muse?

    Are people using or incorparating dreamweaver with muse?

    While there is no direct integration between Muse and Dreamweaver, they can be used together. From within Muse, you can both import and export HTML. So you can import HTML created in Dreamweaver, or export HTML to be opened and edited in Dreamweaver.
    The only speedbump is that the code generated by Muse tends to be a bit messy. As a Muse software engineer puts it,
    You can output HTML code from Muse at any time, so if you chose to edit it with Dreamweaver that is possible, though we don't optimize our code for human-readability - we instead focus on performance, SEO, accessibility and compatibility.

  • I bought a iphone 4 used from a store, ad to retore it on my computer just now due to it not starting back uo its asking for the orginal owners apple id and i have no clue who that is.. i have had the phone for a few months now what i can do ?

    I bought a iphone 4 a few months ago, used from a store .. i had to currently restore and update my phone today due to it saying connect to itunes it wouldnt do anything else so i did other wise, now my phone turns on but wont go past the apple id and the orginal owner still had there apple account in the phone and its asking for that account to actiavte the phone again and not mine , im stuck and dont no what to do i just want my phone to turn on again
    please help !
    thanks !!!

    You have encounter Activation Lock, the antitheft feature of the iPhone. The previous owner did not remove the phone from their account. The phone cannot be used until they do. Return to the store and let them sort this out. It is very unusual for someone to "forget" to disable activation lock, as it is necessary to do so to erase personal information on the phone. So it is quite likely you bought a stolen phone.

  • How to find all the parts used from stock for 1 machine

    Dear Sap community,
    I'm trying to find all the spare components that are used for 1 specific machine.
    If I look in the work orders under components it only gives the components that are orderd.
    But I would like to find the components that come out of stock. I asked the stockkeeper and he said he writes it all in the work orders but we can't find it back.
    It would be nice to just find it on the work order but it would be easier if I could just choose a machine and then find all the spare parts used from stock.
    So my question is can I find all the spare parts used for 1 machine or just find the spare parts in the work order?
    Thank you for any help you can provide in this situation,
    Michael Claes

  • I have a Late 2005 (Power PC) G5 running 10.5.7 that I purchased used from

    Hi all,
    I have a Late 2005 (Power PC) G5 running 10.5.7 (13 GB ram) that I purchased used from a company online that refurbishes and resells off-lease machines. It worked great until a few days ago when I came back to it frozen. It had a pixelated pattern over everything, and would not force quit, so I held the power button in to shut it down. Ever since, I still get the pixelated display, and it will not get past the startup screen. The progress indicator (under the apple) twirls for a bit, and then stops. Then nothing happens. Fans are quiet, I tried pulling out sticks of ram & swapping, hit the reset on the board, removed & replaced the battery & reset the pram. I can get the drive to come up remotely in target mode, repaired permissions and ran disk utility - says the disk is OK. Video card? Logic board? Something totally obvious that I am missing? I bought used because I am on a limited budget, and now, 6 months after my purchase, I have an expensive paperweight and had to go back to my trusty but slow dual 1ghz G4. This is really killing me personally, and productivity wise. Any insight or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Please let me know if there is any info I have not provided. Thanks in advance!!!

    Can you boot the machine from the Leopard installer DVD without issue? If so then perhaps the OS just needs to be reinstalled. This is something you can do without erasing the drive:
    How to Perform an Archive and Install
    An Archive and Install will NOT erase your hard drive, but you must have sufficient free space for a second OS X installation which could be from 3-9 GBs depending upon the version of OS X and selected installation options. The free space requirement is over and above normal free space requirements which should be at least 6-10 GBs. Read all the linked references carefully before proceeding.
    1. Be sure to use Disk Utility first to repair the disk before performing the Archive and Install.
    Repairing the Hard Drive and Permissions
    Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger.) After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported, then quit DU and return to the installer.
    2. Do not proceed with an Archive and Install if DU reports errors it cannot fix. In that case use Disk Warrior and/or TechTool Pro to repair the hard drive. If neither can repair the drive, then you will have to erase the drive and reinstall from scratch.
    3. Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When you reach the screen to select a destination drive click once on the destination drive then click on the Option button. Select the Archive and Install option. You have an option to preserve users and network preferences. Only select this option if you are sure you have no corrupted files in your user accounts. Otherwise leave this option unchecked. Click on the OK button and continue with the OS X Installation.
    4. Upon completion of the Archive and Install you will have a Previous System Folder in the root directory. You should retain the PSF until you are sure you do not need to manually transfer any items from the PSF to your newly installed system.
    5. After moving any items you want to keep from the PSF you should delete it. You can back it up if you prefer, but you must delete it from the hard drive.
    6. You can now download a Combo Updater directly from Apple's download site to update your new system to the desired version as well as install any security or other updates. You can also do this using Software Update.
    If you have the Apple Hardware Test disc for the computer, then you can boot from it and run the hardware diagnostics.
