PSE 10 crashed using Photomerge after Upgrade WIN to 8.1

Used PSE10 on WIN 8 64Bit CPU well.
After upgrade WIN8.0 to 8.1 i allways get an Error (PSE 10 did not function properly. Program will be closed and you will be informed if there is a solution available   = in German: Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 funktioniert nicht mehr.  Das Programm wird geschlossen und sie werden benachrichtigt wenn eine Lösung verfügbar ist). Re-Installing PSE10 did not solve the Problem.

I found the solution:
It was a parsing bug in Oracle client, with the most recent version 9.2.0.7 it works.

  • Does iDVD work with Maverick? This is the first time I tried to burn a DVD using iDVD after upgrading to Maverick. It seems to get stuck at encoding menu stage and not doing anything.

I tried to burn a DVD using iDVD after upgrading to Maverick, first time I tried after upgrading to Maverick a few weeks ago. It seems to get stuck at encoding menu stage and not doing anything. Does anyone else have the same problem?

I did not have a DVD handy to burn but I have just created a small 2 minute video and created a Disk Image and also a VIDEO_TS folder, the encoding worked correctly, so it works with some items.
You may get a better responce in the iDVD forum.

  • Cannot use internal microphone after upgrading Win 10 Home 64bit

After upgrading from Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit to Windows 10 Home 64 bit on my laptop HP 1000 Notebook PC, Windows cannot hear the internal microphone, I think the mic signal is too small. I cannot use Cortana, Skype chat or Hangout. Windows says that the recording driver is still available and connected but there's no recording signal. I already uninstall and reinstall driver from Realtek and HP website  but no effect. Also I used Windows Troubleshooting and HP Support Assistant but it is still not normal. Some one can help me to solve this problem. I really want to use all the function of Cortana.

Thank you very much for your attention! I checked the BIOS, my Production number: C9M71PA#UUF, HP 1000 Notebook. Also, when I tested with 1 external microphone (run normally with other computer), my latop can recognized the sound and I can use the Cortana, but I have to maximize the the Microphone Boost.I guess that windows driver lower the voice sound too much; because when I followed the instruction get started calibrating the microphone in the thread dv7t-7200: Microphone not compatible with Windows 10, it had improvement but not too much. Please help me to deal with this problem. Thank you again.

  • PSE 11 crashes using 'Mark Face'

I am using PSE 11 on Win 7 x64.  The catalog is newly repaired and optimized.  Using the 'Mark Face' feature in the organizer causes PSE to crash immediately after clicking the green check mark to accept the entered tag.  I have used the 'Mark Face' tagging feature before without problems.  What possible root cause is there and how can I repair it?  Thank you for positive feedback.

I found the problem NOT to be related to the catalog at all.  I store all my images on network-attached storage device.  In order to access them the same way from two systems, I have stored the catalog also on the network.  I have PSE11 loaded on both systems.  One is used as an media entertainment system with our home theater and we use it to view photos and videos only.  The other is used to manage the photo and video library, edit images and files and so on.
This setup has worked fine since the I installed PSE11.  Then I performed a full backup with PSE11 for the first time and encountered the crash problem.  It occurs when I manually tag people in images using the 'Mark Face' feature.  It does not, however, crash when the Organizer adds the virtual people tagging frame showing "Who is this?".  I can enter the tag name just fine without any problems.
In talking to support, I found that "BreezeDB.dll" is used for the manual tagging process while another module is used when the Organizer creates the virtual frame.  I was informed that "BreezeDB.dll" requires certain network access rights in order to function correctly.  It was hinted that PSE does not work well on the network and some unpredictable behavior could occur.  Why the other module does not exhibit the same issue was not explained.  Also, the module "BreezeDB.dll" enjoys maximum access rights on the network.  There was also no explanation given why the installation configuration worked without a hitch prior the the backup.
I moved the catalog to a location on the local system and the feature works without problems.  Although that is operationally satisfactory, it does not allow me to view photos in my home theater using PSE11.  I acknowledge the problem to be with the module "BreezeDB.dll".  But I am not convinced it is caused by rights issues.  Unfortunately, Adobe has a very poor track record with making its application functional and stable for network operation.
I took issue with the quality of initial support provided.  Adobe's first response to almost all problems seems to always conclude a "Corrupt catalog/database".  The resulting recommend course of action is the creation of a new catalog and re-importing of all images.  It simply astounds me that this is considered acceptable provided that some users have thousands of images in their catalog with tag, album, keyword, version stacks and other information not written to file.  None of the users have created such catalogs overnight, most of them have developed over years.
I wish Adobe would perhaps forego some "sexy & new" features and instead aspire to a trully stable platform that is universally functional across modern installation configurations.  They must have noticed the explosion of home network installations (wired & WiFi) in the last 10 years.  Overall I like the product (with all its little quirks) and the company.  But I am growing increasinly concerned with every release that the effort I am putting in managing my media (and its growth) is not protected.  I don't think Adobe is rewarding my decade-long loyalty to the product (they know who I am and that I have registered a new product every year).  I don't believe Adobe has my back.

  • IPhoto 9.3.2 crashing on startup after upgrade to 10.8 then 10.8.1

    Help,
after opening iphoto this morning and importing a bunch of photos from my camera I started getting constant crashes. I successfully imported the photos (first connection), then I took some more and connected my camera agian for a second import. Shortly after that iphoto (9.3.2) crashed. At that stage I was running 10.8. I have unable to successfully open iphoto all day - at least 20-30 attempts. I have restarted. Verified and repaired disk permissions. Verified the disk. Ran a hardware test. No apparent problems and no improvment to iphoto. I downloaded the 10.8.1 upgrade this afternoon - no fix.
I have ran the rebuild with iPhoto Library Manager - built a new library but could not connect to iphoto to complete the library copy/rebuild.
This is not the only crash problem I have been experiencing with Moutain Lion. I have also had similar, yet not as persistent, problems with iTunes - requiring a new libary rebuild. This caused all of my apps to disappear off my ipad. They still existed in the media files (music/itunes/media/etc) but had to be manually copied back to the itunes lib.
Also third party apps are crashing. Vectorworks 2012, Livesribe, Endnote X5.
Upgrading to Mountain Lion was the worst apple software experience I have ever had. I'm a 10-15 year user.
It took me clean installing 7 times. Back tracking to Snow Leopard, then a new user install of 10.8. Took me 4 days and required too many time machine recoveries. I seemed to have some serious corrupt file issues rleated to using migration assistant over a number of machines????
I digress.Back to iPhoto. Any ideas of this error report:

I was having a similar problem.  After upgrading to iPhoto 9.3.2, it was continuously crashing when I tried to open it.  I re-installed OSX, upgraded to Mountain Lion, checked my memory, installed a new HD, deleted every plist, db, and cache, did a complete re-install of all of my applications and data only to have none of it work.  The final solution was very unsophisticated, I installed an old version of iLife11 which "broke" the installation of iPhoto (it wouldn't run at all) and then I installed a fresh copy of iPhoto 9.3.2.  Problem solved!  I certainly don't guarantee that this will work for anyone else, but I wanted to pass it along just in case it works for someone else.

  • How I fixed my crashing iPhone 3Gs after upgrading to iOS 4x

My experience...iPhone 3Gs, working fine until I upgraded to the iOS 4. I have two wi-fi zones that I use, 1 at home, 1 at work. Home is DHCP pushing out an IP address, at work manually IP address. All this changed after upgrade and crashed durning calls at home and work. Then it got worse and started crashing/rebooting once a day. I rang Apple support and, as advised, in iTunes restored my iPhone and set it up as a New Phone. Ok for a day but it got worse than ever, so I tried the following: worked for 3 days with 3Gs only, wi-fi off...no crashing, worked for three days wi-fi only, 3Gs off...no crashing. Then put both back on again, back to square one, crashing. I tried one more thing. I entered Settings, General, Reset and Reset all Settings. That was 10 days ago, no more crashing at all. Now I had to setup all my seting again, but it was worth it...I love my iPhone again! Try it...

Did you check your security software settings? eliminating conflicts from third-party security software.

  • IPhoto crashes on launch after upgrading to latest version on ios6

After upgrading iPhoto to latest version available, it crashes after every launch, on my new iPad (the new iPad, iPad 3)
    What I have already tried:
    - delete all photos
    - leave just one album with one (not corrupted) photo
    - desync albums and resync with iTunes
    - delete the app and reinstall it
    - iPad reboot (Home+Sleep)
    - iPad shutdown
Here follows the crash report extracted from XCode.

Your IOS installation  seems to inconsistent: A variable is referenced, that cannot be loaded.
    Dyld Error Message:
      Symbol not found: _ACFacebookAudienceFriends
Are you using a Developer beta version of IOS 6 or had it installed recently? I see the missing variable _ACFacebookAudienceFriends only mentioned in  the Beta Version   and then we are not allowed to discuss it here.
I'd recommend to restore your iPad, to reinstall the IOS to a consistent version.

  • Why is aperture 3.4 crashing during import after upgrade?

After running a typical upgrade from Software update on my mac I have had the problem of importing files into Aperture.
Exactly what happened and equipment used.  Used SD 45mbs 16gb SD card to import RAW images after a shoot.  This has been working and tested the day before update.  Was prompted to update to Aperture 3.4 along with another update for OSX.  After reboot I launched Aperture and was prompted to update library.  Next SD card was inserted, pictures showed up as previews, all were selected and checked to import all.  Application crashes see below.
    What I have tired.
    removed application
    removed preference files
    reinstalled application
was prompted for upgrade of library
once done inserted SD to import files
Same issue files show up but they do not import and same report comes up
have attempted multiple SD cards with no resolve.
Able to use disk on another computer with no issue.
    Someone please help

What Aperture version are you running exactly? Aperture 3.4 or 3.4.1? The 3.4.1 update has some important bug fixes. If you did not install  the last update, I'd recommend to update.
Some posters had problems with the image capture preferences, after upgrading to 3.4, and that caused troubles during import. Try if removing the image capture preference files helps:
To remove the image capture preferences:
If Aperture is running, quit Aperture,  and log off and on again.
Open your user library from the Finder's Go menu: Hit Command Shift G (⌘⇧G) and then type in: ~/Library/Preferences/  then hit return.
In the window that opens remove "com.apple.ImageCapture.plist"
and look into the subfolder "ByHost": if there are files named com.apple.ImageCapture  something.plist  remove them too.
    then try again.

  • Firefox crashes when opening after upgrading to 6.0.2

After upgrading firefox to 6.0.2 firefox crashes upon opening. When I try to open firefox the "Mozilla Crash Reporter" opens up. I tried all the sugestions on the support page. None of these worked. It will open with the computer in safe mode. I can not find where to start firefox in safe mode after upgrading.
I can open it now after running firefox in compatibility mode for windows XP sp2. The problem with this is I have to accept permission everytime I open firefox. If I change user account control settings to not ask every time firefox crashes on opening again.

  • Can no longer use pages after upgrade, even after three restorations! Huge inconvenience!!

Can anyone help me with why I can no longer use pages after the latest upgrade to iOS 7.04. I have restored my ipad three times and it still won't work. It s ahuge inconvenience when all my documents are on pages. If you can get back to me as soon as possible that would be great!!

Turn off iCloud for Pages on your mobile device at Settings > Pages > Use iCloud > Off.
Open Pages on your computer and move any documents in iCloud to your desktop for safe keeping.
Navigate to system preferences > iCloud > Manage and check that Pages documents are not taking any space in the cloud, delete them if they are.
Enable iCloud syncing for Pages on your mobile device and launch the App.
If Pages now opens properly, start to add back documents from your desktop one at a time (or in small groups if you have many).

  • Pse 11 crashes using plugins

My trial version of pse 11 and my old pse 7 crashes everytime, almost everytime  I use the plugins fllters.
I have win7 on a new PC. Same problem on both versions. Looks like a windows problem. I dont know.
    thanks

Changing the ram to  a 1000  did not do the job.
    thanks  hatstead
But I think Im on to something.
I disabled AVG anti virus  and the bug mostly disapeared.
I've had about 1 crash out of 20 instead of 18/20.
I'll watch it for a while and confirm later if it was AVG.

  • Couldn't use Remote after upgrading OS

    Hi,
I've just bought Apple TV Gen3, after connecting everything, I used my iPhone/iPad to control Apple TV throught "Remote app" from Apple Store, it's no problem (default version is OS5).
But I knew that OS is old version so I upgraded that become OS6.0.2 and use, after upgrading, it has trouble:
    1. The airplay is too slow, I stream my video from iPhone/iPad but it run too slowly even my phone and Apple TV just 2m.
    2. If I choose Viet Nam language, I couldn't use "Remote app". My iPhone/iPad couldn't find out the Apple TV (but previous version ok).
So I would like to know what is problem and how to solve that.
    Thanks.

Try using the -v option to see if additional debugging information helps
    sftp -v remote.system.addr
    sftp -v -v remote.system.addr
    sftp -v -v -v remote.system.addr
