Without proper system information and other details we can't really tell you anything. Just saying that it doesn't work is never a good way to start asking for help...

WRT54GS v1 Corrupting large file downloads - how to fix?

I have a two week old WRT54GS v1 (firmware 1.0.02) that appears to be corrupting file downloads of more than 2 or 3 Gb, more specifically program installation downloads.
When downloading, the files appear to arrive properly according to their file sizes. However, in both instances I've experienced this week with installation packages from different sources, the installation would fail with either Error 2350 or Error 11FD. (file corruption errors)
If I take the router out of the loop by connecting the desktop directly to the cable modem, the packages come through without error.
It has been suggested that this has something to do with a broken transmission or filter issue caused by the NAT hardware firewall (I don't have a clue what that means)
Does anyone have any suggestions?

You should try to upgrade your router's firmware, reset and re-configure it...
Download Firmware 1.7 MB...
Follow these steps to upgrade the firmware on the device : -
Open an Internet Explorer browser page on a computer hard wired to the router...
In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1...Leave the username blank & in password use admin in lower case...
Click on the 'Administration' tab- Then click on the 'Firmware Upgrade' sub tab- Here click on 'Browse' and browse the .bin firmware file and click on "Upgrade"...
Wait for few seconds until it shows that "Upgrade is successful" After the firmware upgrade, click on "Reboot" and you will be returned back to the same page OR it will say "Page cannot be displayed".
Now reset your router :
Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...
After re-configuring the router, observe the connection and see if it corrects your problem...

I have OS level copy of my data files. This also includes the system and user tablespace data files.

IOS.8.2 shows in Software Update as downloaded and says Install Now - when I press this and agree to the T

I have an iPhone 5. Software Updates have never been a problem in the past however now I have a Software Update - iOS.8.2. It says Downloaded underneath the title but it asks me to Install Now. When I go to install, I agree the terms and conditions and nothing happens. I am stick on this page as the only way I can come out of it is to turn my phone up. I really dont know what to do and I am finding this upsetting as I cannot update my apps and I am unable to upload videos etc - everything I wnat to do requires the latest iOS software. Please help!

Hold the Power button and the Home button at the same time, keep holding, when you see the white apple logo let it start.
Then in Settings->General->SotwareUpdate you will see the actual version of iOS, when it is less than 8.2 (as I expect) it will propose to install, it will download, then restart verify and install. The update is always installed after the restart.

Download a trial, and remember the location where you save the installers.
Once the download is complete, go the location where you saved the installer and copy them to a location of your choice. You may also burn them on a disk for future use if you wish.

2004s file download (how to not store files in context?)

I want to use FileDownload element in my web dynpro application.
I use the new type resource and my own input source implementation, which generates files on the fly.
Each download call should result in a new file. These files can be very large (some MB).
For obvious reasons I don't want the server to store the byte data in application context (200 users * 2 MB ....)
How can I do this?
If I use resource as context element and set debug points on my input stream, I can see the data is read just on time if the user wants to download.
I create my data in my inputstream and the download starts. So far so good.
On the second click on the download link the download starts without any read operation. Thats the problem.
Possible reasons:
First: the data is read and stored to the context on the first download. this would be bad! context would get very very large. not working for me.
second: the browser or the server caches the data. how can I avoid this?

btw I read a tutorial about up and downloading. this pointed to an additional article called something like "downloading in web dynpro tables". But I can't find it. There the on demand downloading should be explained. any help would be great.

ok, the "default" on-demand streaming solution caches a Web Resource but does not re-calculate it again afterwards.
I wrote a Wiki Code Tutorial which demonstrates how to download an Excel File from a Web Dynpro table UI element on-demand. In this scenario the resource must also be re-created on every request. The solution is based on re-initializing the context with a new 0-byte resource objects within the calculated context attribute getter method.

ITunes opens automatically after file downloads - HOW TO FIX?

Hi all,
don't no wether it's my new MacBook or iTunes 10, but every time I download a music file from the internet it automatically opens, and starts playing, in iTunes.
Even if iTunes is closed it opens it up and starts playing..
I really want this to stop and just manually add the songs to iTunes.
Is there a way to fix this?

Its not Itunes, its Safari. It has a setting for "automatically open safe files" after download. So it opens them in itunes. If you disable that setting, you should be fine.

File Download: How to pass user credential to UCM10gR3, other than using UCM auth UI.

I have a problem, i would like to download files stored in UCM, but i would like to bypass UCM auth UI. Is there some other way to supply username and password. Following is the setup
I have 4 files uploaded to ucm server.
These files are secured by creating an account with in the public security group. And that account contains only one user that is local to ucm. I need to pass the this username and password to gain access to these files.
We are basically exposing these files through URL, something like http://host:port/cdnucm/groups/public/@coltonline/@partner/@crc/documents/digitalasset/file_name.mp3
I when i am access this file i am prompted by UCM authentication UI to login.
My question is, is there a way to bypass the authentication UI by passing the security credentials (i.e. username and password) through some other mechanism, something like query string.
I tried doing the following, but did not help.

I can of figured something out.
Here we basically do a login, then on successful login we do a redirect to GET_FILE service .URL could be broken up into 2 parts.

Please notice that redirect URL is encoded and it basically contains contains following parameters
IdcService=GET_FILE

Customer set up is basically the following.
External load balancer >> Apache Server >> Internal Load balancer >> UCM Server.
While this logic works when we access the UCM server URL or Internal Load balancer, but fails when we use
External load balancer or Apache Server (Front ending the internal load balancer).
Any idea what could be wrong?

The following Knowledge Base article offers up some great preliminary steps for troublehsooting issues with launching iTunes afer updating in Windows 7:
iTunes for Windows doesn't open after upgrading in Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8 - Apple Support
Make sure you are using the latest version of iTunes.
Windows Vista and Windows 7:
Choose Start > Computer.
In the Organize menu, click Folder and Search Options.
Windows 8:
From the File Explorer window, click Computer on the panel to the left.
Click View > Options.
From the Folder Options window, click the View tab.
In the "Advanced settings:" pane under "Hidden files and folders," select "Show hidden files and folders."
Click OK.
Navigate to the following location by entering it in the address bar or clicking through the folder hierarchy listed: C:\ProgramData\Apple Computer\iTunes\SC Info.
Right-click the SC Info.sidb file shown and click Delete.
Right-click the SC Info.sidd file shown and click Delete.
Restart the computer and open iTunes.
If the above steps don't resolve the issue, try these steps.

Downloaded design premium installed now getting license has expired message

i have downloaded cs4 in the past but this time i figured id try the design primium this time and i just got done downloading and installing it....(3hr process) and now i try to use it and it is giving me the message "Licensing for this product has expired" when i had cs4 it was on a different computer... please help if possable.

Use the version you need for your target OS. If your clients are running

Yes. ADMX only defines the UI in gpedit, not the real "content" of GPOs.

One example: In Win7, MS introduced the ability in ADM templates to
write REG_MULTI_SZ. Vista doesn't understand this ability. So, if you

TS3212 I get the file download window and I push "run", but after it starts to install, I get a window that says that they was a problem with the installation and I need to check with the manufacturer of my software. WHat does that mean?

Repair your Apple software update.
Go to START/ALL PROGRAMS/Apple Software Update. If it offers you a newer version of Apple Software Update, do it but Deselect any other software offered at the same time. Once done, try another iTunes install
