PSE 11 - Cannot add people tags to photos from Media tab

I upgraded from PSE9 to PSE11 and now the tags are separated on the right side, with the people tags below a line from which you can no longer add these tags to photos.
How am I supposed to add people tags to new photos?

To see imported keywords for people, in the Media tab click the menu:
View >> People Recognition
To add new people tags click the button on the task bar Add People and let the software run.

Dragging photos from media tab in iMovie 6 disapear from timeline.

Hi guys
Ever since i upgraded to Leopard, i now can not drag and drop photos into the Tim line of iMovie 6HD., they seem to automatically delete themselves.
I drag them from the iMovie media window, i see them converting into the time line but they turn blue as if i selected them and disappear.
Anyone have a clue wo thy please do advise on this one ;(

I teach iMovie at a local community college. My students are having a similiar, if not the same problem. When we try to drag or import still images into iMovie HD6, some images will appear to import, but when they finish, they become blank clips. They are not PICT files, we checked that. They are all .jpgs, some taken from the Internet and some from digital cameras. There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason as to why they don't import correctly. It is happening on multiple machines, not just one machine. If you go in and turn off the Ken Burns effect, they load fine. But if you go back and turn it on for the clip, it turns it blank again. Anyone got a clue what this is. I have searched everywhere for an answer and have not found one. BTW...we're still using Tiger.

Cannot add people to Group Voice call Version 6.12...

Currently with the latest version of skype now you cannot add people to the voice call if they have already been added to the conversation but were not able to answer the call at an earlier time. The only way for them to join the conversation is for them to call me. Before you were able to just simply click "Add to Call" on skype for Mac and now you cannot. Also this created issues last night as you are currenlty unable to remove people from conversations which is also a major limitation. So we had major issues last night trying to host a skype conference call.

I cannot import my music and photos from my computer to my new iphone 5.

Perform a backup to iTunes from the old device and then a restore to the new device, use ITunes to do this. BTW, always sync photos to a computer to store them safely (use iPhoto on a mac or to a designated folder on a PC). Never trust an iOS device to keep photos without having them synced to a computer.

ITunes 12 cannot add grouping tag

I just imported an audiobook CD and cannot find a way to add a Grouping tag in iTunes 12. See the screen capture for book 6 where there is no option to add the Grouping tag.
If you look at the screen capture for Book 5 you will see the grouping tag. I added book 5 in the previous version of iTunes where I was able to add the 'Grouping' tag.
Can anyone tell me how I can add the grouping tag in iTunes 12?
I am using Yosemite.

There is another work around for Movies you have added to iTunes (seeing as someone thought removing the Option right click trick was an excellent idea and better than allowing users some freedom)
Any way, with a movies open the get info window, goto the options tab and change the media type to Music Video ( You'll notice the window options change slightly) you can now got to the details tab and "grouping" will be there, add your desired grouping for the movie go back to the options tab change the media type back to movie then hit OK. the grouping will now appear and hey presto something that was easy is now a hassle. thank you to the person who changed it.
This works on the Audiobooks as well, just change the media type to Music and the grouping option is available, add your grouping name, change the media type back to Audiobooks and it keeps the grouping, Its crap but it works (until some bright spark stops it working)

Cannot drag and drop CERTAIN photos from iPhoto 9.5.1

I cannot drag and drop certain photos to the desktop (Mac OS X 10.9.3) from iPhoto 9.5.1
When I encounter this problem the pointer has a circle with a slash as I drag the photo to the desktop and the file will not copy over. I'd say 25% of my photos suffer from this problem.
Some things of note:
- photos that are affected have been taken by variety of devices: iPhone, DSLR camera, or scanned in from film (no device is specific to this problem)
- a photo that cannot be copied is located in the same subfolder as one that can be copied so it's not folder specific
- I have trashed the iPhoto prefs files as well as the cache file in Mac OS X 10.9.3
- I have repaired permissions and the database as well as rebuilt the database in iPhoto all to no avail

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

Why can't I download, edit and tag a photo from the photo stream?, Why can't I download, edit and tag a photo from the photo stream?

I took a few pictures with my iPhone and then imported them to iPhoto. For a reason I don't understand, a few of the pictures from the camera roll didn't get imported and I thought I lost them. But, there they were in the Photo Stream. But I barely understood how to get the pictures from the steam into my library. Plus, when I copied them to the correct album, iPhoto reported that I couldn't edit them since they were downloaded from the stream. Nor could I tag them.
Nor could I share them on Facebook. Finally, I just pasted them into the Facebook album and tagged them there.
This is a mite annoying. Is this how it's supposed to work? Is there no way to actually download and edit and tag a picture from the stream?

Do a reset, it will clear off some glitches you might have:
Reset: Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Note: You will not lose any data

Slow access of photos from Media Browser

I have a computer with a small iPhoto library. Under 800 photos. iPhoto launches quickly, and effortlessly. iWeb launches easily, but when I try to access the Photos from the Media brownser...things bog down. The spinning ball goes for a couple minutes, before showing me the photos, and regaining control of iWeb. This slowness happens also from Garage Band (when accesing photos via the Media brownser). I rebuilt my iPhoto library database, but this didn't help. Any ideas?

Here's an update. I did not have iPhoto opened when launching iWeb. And the iMac Intel 20" has 1gig RAM.
I first rebuilt the database in iPhoto...no help. I called applecare, and then first had me rebuilt the database (no help again). Then we created a new user, and the new user worked fine...no sluggishness in Media Browser. So we went back to the ailing user and removed the iPhoto prefs (no help)....then we removed ALL prefs (no help)...then they had me remove the entire user Library....and still no help. At this point, the 2nd level tech support said they didn't know the answer yet...and they are referring it to Engineering...and I should hear back in 2-3 days. I'm guessing they will have me backup, reformat, and reinstall from scratch...but we'll see.

How do I do this? Both for accessability and to allow users to hover over the image and get a caption.

You have to post process your html pages (editing after publishing).
You need to add title inside some html tags, three that I know of:
1. img src tag
2. a href tag
3. area href tag
ie:
a href="javascript:void(0)" title="blah blah"
or
img src="blah blah" title="blah blah"
Now, the bad part is that you have to do this EVERY time you publish your sites.
unless, you have a script to do heavy lifting

Cannot add people (Skype / cell / landline) to co...

I am using a new macbook pro retina and I upgraded to 7.1 skype. The normal protocol of adding people onto an existing call does not work. This has been happening for the last 48 hours. It started before I upgraded. Every so often (because I am trying to see if it is a skype bug) it works, but 99% of the time it does not.
I call the original party, then put my cursor on the + icon, attempt to add the 2nd party, and when I do so it disengages and hangs up on that party. What is then on screen is
Mr. XXXX has left the conversation for unknown reason
I have also tried in vien to get through to skype live chat, but microsoft has cleverly figured a way to have that task impossible to achieve.
I would appreciate any advice and direction. I use skype for business and this is crippling.

It appears to work when I call landlines and cell phones vs skype in most cases.. just as an fyi...

Cannot add people to Skype Group Voice call

Everyday I usually go in a skype call with my friends, I use the PC version of skype and I always host the call as my friends use the Xbox One version. The xbox party system is horrible so we use skype instead. But for some reason, today, I can no longer host a call with more than 1 person. I cant call groups either. This is quite a pain. I have tried un installing and re installing, resetting my pc and I also created a new account and it still wouldnt let me call more than 1 person. I also tried calling two PC users of skype, I was still, only able to call one. Any help is much appreicated. Thanks!

Cannot add music or old apps from iTunes to iPhone 5

Any tips? On iTunes it has all of my previous settings from my iPhone 4 but I cannot update my iPhone 5 with my old apps or add any music to my device. Any help would be much appreciated!

I think I've got the same problem:
- I can download Apps to Itunes
- I can download Apps from my Iphone
- I can sync my Iphone, but none of the Apps will transfer from my Itunes to my Iphone.
- My computer is authorized
- Restrictions on my Iphone are disabled
- The Apps are checked under the Applications tab
- I used to be able to sync Apps from my Itunes to my Iphone
- If I uncheck an App and Sync it removes the App from my Iphone, and when I check and sync it again, it will not move the App back on my Iphone
- Updates won't sync either
- I get no error message or anything, it just does what it should do but 'skips' syncing the Apps
- As far as I know it happened suddenly (without me unchecking stuff or clicking on things that might have disabled it)
- I am not able to find a solution on the internet.

I cannot add or delete music manually from my iphone

I used to be able to manually add or delete music from my iPhone 4S in iTunes. I tried setting the phone to sync my library automatically and it filled up the phone, but now I can't get rid of any of it (and my storage is maxed out).
Any ideas?

Manually managing music on the iphone 4s. I updated to the latest version of itunes. When I try to manually update my music, it will only give me the option to manag videos. I have tried restarting my iphone, nothing has helped.
(1) Using the same computer to sync and update
(2) checked and unchecked the option to manually manage videos.
(3) no option to manually delete or add music. can anyone help me in fixing this issue.
