PSE 11 Install problems -  Shared Technologies have failed to install

Hi All,
I am hopeful that someone will be able to provide me with a little advice regarding the installation of PSE11.
I have attempted to run the install via the BD media, Copeied BD media to HDD and download from Adobe site but I keep on getting the shared technologies error.
I have followed the advice laid out in;
http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/troubleshoot-installation-photoshop-elements- premiere.html#main_Error__Below_mentioned_applications_have_failed_to_install__Shared_tech nologies_
and also attempted to recover the log file as explained in;
http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/troubleshoot-install-using-logs-elements.html #main_main_log
The installation failure appears to be taking place following the organiser when it tries to install the shared technologies.
I have attempted to install with all non essential windows services switched off and I have also used the CS cleaner as well as ASA log reader but to no avail.
If anyone could point me in the direction of a solution it would be greatly appreciated.
Edit: The ASA log has thrown up the following;
"cpsid_82829s1: "A restart is pending," bootstrapper error has occurred.
Click here for details and corrective actions related to this issue."
I have gone in to the registry as per adobe advice;
http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-error-messages-bootstrapper-cs5.html
But I cannot find an InProgress key to delete.
Regards
Neil

Which download did you try? Was it the version from Adobe store. If so try a different source by using the free trial from the link below. Then validate the product with your serial number.
Before you begin uninstall the existing PSE11 application via the control panel.

Could you please share the logs from the location(s) mentioned below:

I'd be able to comment & suggest better once I have the logs but meanwhile, you might like to upgrade the Adobe Application Manager from the following location just to rule out any incompatibilities or upgrade failures of AAM:

  • Installing Pre Elements 11  Error: Shared Technologies have failed to install

    Hi,
having problems installing Pre Elements on my windows 7 laptop.
I'm trying to install the 64bit version as I'm running 64bit windows 7.
I've been working my way though this web page to find a solution to the error...
    http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/troubleshoot-installation-photoshop-elements- premiere.html
First up, I had the demo version of Elements (which installed and ran perfectly), which I uninstalled before installing the purchased product from Adobe, and re-downloaded the installs from the Adobe shop servers.
I have currently also have a CS6 installation on my laptop.
I ran the ASA tool and all it sees is my CS6 installation.
I went though the windows Program file directories and made sure all Elements stuff was deleted.
I've checked the MSCONFIG to see what Adobe services are running at startup, and I turned off everything that was associated with Adobe.
I've copied the downloaded installer exe and packaged file to a folder on the C: root.
I'm running the installer from there and when it unpacks the files I make sure it unpacks them to the same directory in the C:
The problem seems to be with the 'shared components. The install gets most of the way through installing the Organizer when it quits and rolls back the installation.
No extra info is given by the installer on why it has run into a problem.
I've tried to install Photoshop elements too and that stalls at the same point.
    Thanks.

  • Install of PSE9 starts rolling back at shared technologies, and doesn't install at all

I am trying to install PSE9 on a small laptop which doesn't have a CD/DVD ROM Reader/Writer.  So I copied the program to a pendrive and it appears to have the whole program on it.  It goes through the first part of the install just fine and the icon appears on the desktop.  It gets to "installing required shared technologies" and the next action shows "rolling back the installation of PSE9".        At this time the PSE9 icon on the desktop, disappears, and the next heading says "rolling back the installation of PSE9 Organizer"  Then the window comes up which says install shield wizard completed and, "the wizard was interrupted before PSE9 could be completely installed...below mentioned application has failed to install: SHARED TECHNOLOGIES.  then I click on finish and there's nothing left of the install anywhere in the computer.  This is frustrating and I'm sure that somethinbg gets left out when I download the program to the pendrive but I don't have any other way to do it unless it could be installed directly from Adobe.  Can I do that?

first, make sure you have a complete installer:
if you follow all 7 steps, you can download the pse trial:  http://prodesigntools.com/photoshop-elements-9-premiere-elements-9-direct-download-links.h tml
    use your serial to activate.
if you have dl problem, you didn't follow all 7 steps.

  • Elements 10 won't finish installing. it says installing required shared technologies and wont go any

I tried installing elements 10 last night and part way through it just kept saying installing required shared technologies and stayed on that and won't go any farther. I've tried uninstalling it and starting over but it won't let me do that either. It says I need to finish installing what was already started. I'm very frustrated. I'm a photographer and I need to get this problem fixed so I can finish my work. Can you advise me to do anything to fix this?

  • I have downloaded OS X Yosemite using recovery from boot but while installing error occuring showing unable to extract essential.pkg so can't install. problem is i have already formatted my drive and dont have any os right now. please help

i have downloaded OS X Yosemite using recovery from boot but while installing error occuring showing unable to extract essential.pkg so can't install. problem is i have already formatted my drive and dont have any os right now. only the downloaded new os x yosemite in the os x base system. please help

Please try again after taking each of the following steps that you haven't already taken.
    Step 1
    Reset your computer’s PRAM.
    Step 2
If your model has user-replaceable memory, and you've upgraded the memory modules, reinstall the original memory and see whether there's any improvement. Be careful not to touch the gold contacts. Clean them with a mild solvent such as rubbing alcohol. Aftermarket memory must exactly match the technical specifications of the machine.
    Step 3
Back up all data to at least two different storage devices, if you haven't already done so. One backup is not enough to be safe. The backups can be made with Time Machine or with Disk Utility. Preferably both.
Erase and install OS X. This operation will destroy all data on the startup volume, so you had be better be sure of the backups.
    Step 4
Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service provider to have the machine tested.

  • Premiere Elements 11 gives error "encountered a problem installing shared technologies" and does not install.

I have Photoshop Elements 11 installed but Premiere Elements will not install due to the problem installing shared technologies. I would appreciate any suggestions as to how to fix the issue. I tried the installation several times.

On what computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 11 running on? For now I will assume Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit. Are you installing the program from
an installation disc or from installation files?
The Shared Technologies error is an old story that afflicts several versions of Premiere Elements on several different computer operating systems. My encounters with this error
have been using installation disc for the program involved.
There are numerous home remedies. The one that has been working for me lately and consistently has been the disabling of the OOBE Folder which is found
    Local Disk C
    Program Files (x86)
    Common Files
    Adobe
and in the Adobe Folder is the OOBE which you disable by changing the folder name from OOBE to OLDOOBE.
Please let us know if that worked for you.
    Do not give up.

  • PSE11 (retail) and also trial version PSE11  -fail to install - error shared technologies

I have purchased PSE11 and Premiere 11 bundle (Retail ) via Amazon U.K. - Also later attempted same install with trial PSE11 download.
3 full days with online tech support help with screen takeover by Adobe.   After hours and no solution ..  Anyone else having this issue?  Any suggestions?
I've been through copying disc contents onto C Drive, deactivating protection, uninstalled my Roxio 2012 Pro as it has similar usage adobe etc..
I'm not very techy minded but now sort of crash coursing.  Wish I hadn't bothered uninstalling my no problem PSE10 and passing it on.
    Thanks in advance.

Thanks so much for taking time to reply and apolgies for delay responding to you.
On the fourth full day of online help from Adobe I got a techy superstar named Sooraj who via Adobe connect hung in there and after 4 hours of effort managed to resolve my issue. Everything is now up and running successfully.  The problem was not the new software but it clashing with remnantsof previously trial oer software remnants  under CS6 ????
In truth I'm not really sure exactly what. I just know I watched it being done on my screen.  In hindsight i wish i'd asked in order that I could have passed on the info for others.   Apparently other folk have been having similar problems.
I know I am happy to no longer see that continually repeated banner saying error installing shared technologies any longer.
    Thanks again.

  • PSE9 will not install..Shared Technologies

When I try to install PSE9, I get a message saying that "The wizard was interrupted before Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 could be completely installed. Below mentioned application has failed to install: Shared Technologies".
I have tried uninstalling, rebooting, and then re-installing, with no success. And I can't get the download from the site to work either. The download gets cancelled seconds into it and I have tried the help tips for the Akamai Download Manager. Because I did not purchase my copy of PSE9 through the Adobe site, I cannot get to an alternate download either.
Previously, I had PSE8 installed, and it worked fine for the last year but it began crashing upon initial loading of the Editing portion a few weeks ago. I could not figure out why, and the Help section wasn't much of a help either, so I have since uninstalled it.
    Can someone PLEASE help me?!

Make sure in your control panel Sync manager and dynamicLinkManager  should not running. Also after PSE8 uninstallation check @ C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Elements 8 Organizer and C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 8 , these two folders should not exists there. if exists delete them,
