PSE 11 message "Nothing was imported"

Hi,
I'm having a problem. When I try to import images ( directly off my camera - Canon G15 ) it appears the files are being transferred but I get this message saying " Nothing was imported. The file(s) or folder(s) selected to import did not contain any supported file types, or the files are already in this catalog." "Reason: the file is damaged or is in a format that cannot be included in Elements Organizer". I've never had happen before, in fact, photos from my Canon 5D Mk 2 download into Organizer as they should. I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, PSE 11. My photos are in RAW ( CR2 ) format. Movies from the G15 are in MOV format and they imported OK, only the photos are not. I had a problem with my computer a month ago & Windows was reinstalled. Prior to this time I've never had a problem importing files. Tried reinstalling Photoshop Elements & Premiere Elements but that didn't help. My software is up to date, I have ACR 7.4. I have 2 SD cards of photos with this problem & have not tried using another card to test it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Glenn.

Thanks for the response. I checked again last week, and this time noticed I downloaded the files several times from my Canon G15. Don't know how I missed it originally, maybe looking for 5D Mk 2 files in error. Anyways, thanks again. Cheers, Glenn.

The photos being scanned are old film shots. They have NOT been previously scanned. I am using Photoshop Elements 9 software.
QUESTION: how do I override this STOP and or circumvent the photo comparison option????

Are you scanning as jpeg, tiff or some other format?
Are you using continuous numbering for files names as by definition scanned files have no exif data.

F.5E message- nothing was selected

Dear all,
Executed F.5E for the month of Junu201909 and generated a batch session, processed (foreground) the same in SM35, system prompted an error msg: Period not open, simultaneously we have opened the GL Account Posting Period _OB52 and tried to process the batch, system still throwing error message, so we thought of stopping the batch session,,, as system is not allowing to do so, we have forcibly come out of the session u201C/nu201D then again checked in SM35, the status is showing as still processing,,, we have deleted the session,
Now the problem has come,,, again we have tried to execute F.5E for the month of Junu201909 after calculating F.5D, system prompting a msg: nothing was selected,,,
- Can we post balance sheet adjustment for the same period more than one time, if so where are we going wrong? Please let us know how to overcome this message: nothing was selected.

This is a common problem which users often do.
Normally what happens is when you run f.5E, system first stores the run id and run date in a particular date. the second step of the program is to post entries. Now when you have created the batch run and executed it, the system should have stored run id and date details but since you abrutly deledt the job the second task was not carried out.
now if you try to rerun the program system checks wether ther run id and run date have been store for a particular run and since it finds it, it is givin you a message" nothing was selected".
To overcome this problem you have to run t-code F.5G. The run details are normally stored in Table RF180. when you run T-code F.5g is would reverse the entry stored in this table. Please note that F.5G does not automatically reverses any transaction entries posted by system. the last run in the system is reversed first.
Please do the needful.
1. check if transaction entries are posted, if any reverse the accounting docs manually.
2. Use t-code F.5g. check whether the system is selcting the write run to be reversed, you can check the time and date for run to be reversed.
3. once you execute f.5g you would be able to run F.5E again for your balance sheet adjustments.

Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.

Adobe elements 10 Photoshop will not import my scanned photos.. I keep getting an error message that says the photo already exist. But I know that these photos have not been scanned in the past. They are not in my library. The person in chat says I should come here to the forum and my question will be answered.

PSE 6.0 will not import JPG's, or .3gp videos, from Motorola Droid

I'm using Windows Vista 32-bit.
I've tried a number of ways to import pictures (jpg's) from my Motorola Droid:
1) Bu using a USB cable connection to the phone.
2) By taking the microSD card out of phone and inserting it into a card reader.
3) By copying the pics from the microSD card to a folder on the hard drive.
I've tried "from files or folders", and "from camera or card reader".
Each time, PSE, after scanning the card/folder and looking like it is importing the pics just fine, says: "Nothing was imported, the file(s) or folder(s) selected to import did not contain any supported file types or the files are already in this catalog."
As I scroll thru the PSE dialog box of the list pics not imported, it says "THE FILE COULD NOT BE COPIED", for the .3gp videos, it says the same thing.
The file names are of the format:
2010-1-11 12.53.28.jpg
That's the date, followed by a space, followed by the time.
Any ideas? Is the file name too long or have characters PSE cannot handle?

I'd ignore Elements, and just drag these jpgs and the video onto the desktop. Then I'd try to rename one of the jpgs, open Elements, tell it to open that jpg, and see what happens.
I don't expect that to cure your problem, but it's worth a try. There was a time - 20 years ago - when some applications would refuse to open a document if the name contained forbidden characters. I haven't heard of that happening in many years, and I'd be stunned if Elements were doing something that dumb in 2010. If Elements were doing that, this forum would be flooded by other Droid users who are asking the same question.
It's also possible that the problem is not with Elements, but with your particular cell phone. Elements thinks that these jpgs and video are corrupted. Maybe they are. I'd suggest that you reset the Droid, take another picture, and see if Elements "likes" (technical term) the new picture.
You also could narrow down the problem area by opening a picture with another application. I live in the Mac world, so I don't know what basic applications Microsoft gives you that could open a jpg. In the Mac World, I'd recommend you try to open one of these jpgs with Preview, or Word or Excel or Powerpoint or Pages, or Numbers, or Keynote.
I'm hoping that one of these applications will refuse to open the jpg, and state that the jpg is corrupted. That would tell us that Elements is right, and allow us to focus our attention on the Droid phone.
Do you have a digital camera? Take a picture, and connect your camera to your computer, and see if Elements will read that picture - or also declare that this picture is of an unsupported format.
Hang in there! Sometimes it can take a while to track down these problems.

Nothing is imported

I am trying to bring pictures into the browser, using organize. I am using :Select media from files and folders.
When I select the ones I want and try to import them, I get a message that says nothing was imported because they
are already in the catalog.   How do I get them imported into the browser so I can work with them?   I want to do
some editing and put them in albums they currently are not in.
   I am using Photo Shop Elements 9.0.

Since you are trying to import from given folders, could you set your organizer display to thumbnail view instead of folder view, then use the 'Find' menu to find a given file by filename? If you can, the files are really in your catalog.

As a test launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and test to see if the same problem persists. Does it?
If it does then your current library has been damaged and should be repaired: apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start
with Option #4 and then #1 as needed.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

That cryptic error message might mean that the payment information in your account is invalid. Check with your credit-card issuer to see whether a charge was denied. If not, see below.
Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It won’t solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of this test is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account. Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.

After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.

In AOL email, checking individual messages in the regular system results in this error message: There was an error loading the message. Please try again later.

In accessing AOL email through the full version, I can navigate within my account (old mail, new mail, spam, etc.) fine, but when I try to open an individual email, I get this error message: "There was an error loading the message. Please try again later."
This is identical to a problem someone else was describing in another thread....unfortunately, nothing you suggested to him seemed to be working. I WAS tricked into opening a file attached to an email immediately before this started, so I think its a virus or something. ANYWAY....I AM able to open the messages when I use AOL's basic version. Initially, the problem seemed only to be in Firefox, but I've tried with Internet Explorer now also, and its the same thing, and the basic version is accessible while the full version is still blocked.
On both browsers, following the error message, I can't even click on the individual messages to TRY to open a different one, and there are some not-quite-right boxes and x's and things that appear on the screen that don't belong.
PLEASE tell me you can't make this go away....I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox....that didn't work. I've also fun McAffee, and that didn't change anything.

You can do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. 
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. 
All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.
