PSE 11 view of JPEGs edited in LR 5.4

I normally shoot RAW, convert to DNG on import, and edit. If I view photos in PSE11 edited as I have just described I see the "after editing" image, presumably a consequence of ticking a box in the Preferences to save metadata in the body. I have been given some JPEGs of a group day trip. The exposure is awful so I tweaked them a little in LR. If I view them in PSE I see the "before edit" version.
Now I know that hopping between LR & PSE is a bit odd (I like PSE's slideshow, it's faster & simpler than LR, plus one or two other non photo changing features are useful) but I would prefer, if possible, to see consistent behaviour. Is there an option I can tick somewhere that will show me the "after editing" version of a JPEG?
Just to be clear, in the examples above I am closing LR, then opening PSE. I am not opening PSE from within LR.

I'm going to make a guess here, as I haven't actually tried this in a long time...
PSE doesn't read the editing from Lightroom that is embedded in a JPG unelss you open the JPG in Adobe Camera Raw. If you simply do the normal operations on a JPG in PSE, it doesn't look for the Lightroom editing.
If that guess is correct, then I also think there is not any option to change this. Instead, you would have to Export the photo as a JPG in Lightroom to make this work.

RAW files: View embedded JPEG next to RAW file

I would like the opportunity to view the JPEG thumbnail that is embedded in my Nikon NEF files, so I can see how the camera's adjustments look, and possibly use that while making my own adjustments. I know the embedded JPEG is tiny, but this might still be a useful feature.

Sorry to bring up an old post, but this is exactly my question.
Can I access a camera embedded JPG as a reference. I know I can't use it for the basis of editing but I would like to see it just the same. I know some other tools can do this, but can LR2 show that JPG.
Ideally it would be an X-Y comparison to my current image.

Error message when I insert a div tag: Couldn't commit the changes made in Live View. Refresh the Live View and try editing again.

According to a web and support forum search, myself and another person, Chloe in the Dreamweaver Club forum, have ever reported this. Trying to follow along a Lynda.com tutorial, and the instructor isn't getting this error. Can't imagine why it's happening. I'd be very grateful for any help. I'm also getting an error dialog message:

Photo rotaion in organize view different than edit view & slideshow

Photo rotaion in organize view different than edit view & slideshow. The fact that the power supply to the computer was accidentally disconnected while I was working in iPhoto no doubt was the cause of this phenom.
Any suggestions as to how to re-sync the rotations back up?

Thanks for the tip. I wasn't aware of the use of theses two keys simultaneously. It occured to me after this post to just trash the whole library which I had just created for this particular group of photos and re-import the photos to a newly re-created library. I still had the camara connected so as it turned out it was fairly easy. Now that I think about it, if this hadn't been a newly created library just for this group of photos it wouldn't have worked so simply, so I guess I discovered another benifit for having multiple libraries.
I'm glad you recomended the apple/alt key combo though as this knowledge no-doubt will come in handy at some time.

Is it possible to disable the + button at the bottom of a view where Inline Editing in enabled?

As per the title, I have a list view where Inline Editing is enabled. I need to know how to disable or hide the green plus icon at the bottom of the list (Add new item).

Edited a short video. Program Crashed. I can see the video still saved but can't view it or edit it.

The top of the picture, the "new event 1" i can do anything with. I can cut it down and view it but the video i was working on, the lower half of the screen the "RBFD" file i can't do anything with. Can't open it, view it or edit it. I'm attempting to add the top video to it but i can't do that either.

Ok, did that and one of the times it actually came up but i wasn't able to view nor add any more video. I decided to delete it and start fresh. Did so and closed out of the program opened it back up and it continues to show this file. I can delete it but every time i restart Imovie it reappears. But i uploaded the same clip i was originally editing and imovie continues to freeze. And i can't even force quit it i have to manually turn my computer off or else i can't do anything. The file on the bottom is what continues to come up but also is there anyway to stop the freezing. Anyway to reinstall the program or anything. I've tried the "go to the library and delete that certain file" and that doesn't seem to have done anything unless i'm not doing it correctly.

Does PSE 12 download and edit raw NEF files

I have a new Nikon D7100 and PSE 10. PSE 10 does not support Raw NEF files from this camera. Does PSE 12 download and edit Raw files from the D 7100?

Your issue is less with PSE than ACR or Adobe Camera Raw. ACR works a little like a conversion engine to get RAW photos from all the various camera models to Adobe's photo programs. Adobe updates it for recent models every few months. They don't make it backwardly useful to Elements software.
So, you get two choices. You can upgrade PSE that works with the current ACR modules. If you don't want to learn the new interface and tools in PSE 12, you can use the free and downloadable "Adobe DNG Converter" that also is kept up for new camera models. It will batch process you camera files to a more universal RAW format that is useful in the software you have.

I upgraded from elements 10 to 13 today. When PSE 13 was installed, I uninstalled PSE 10. I also own Lightroom 4.4. However, I used to be able to switch from LR4, to PSE 10 now I cannot switch to PSE 13. (Photo Edit In Edit in Photoshop) is grey. Why?

What I have found is that when I upgraded from PSE12 to 13, my Lightroom 5.6 still selected PSE12 in the list of external editors. I had to use the preferences menu to select the right PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe in the Program Files/Adobe/Photoshop Elements 13 folder. I got a message stating that Photoshop Elements was already selected as external editor. In that message box, there is a button with the option to 'change anyway', which I did. Now LR correctly opens PSE13 when I choose Edit in Elements.

Jpeg compression for tiff image (nt gettin a view of jpeg compressd pages)

I have a problem of jpeg compression inside a tiff file. When I convert no. of pages in a multi-page tiff file I m not getting a view of jpeg compressed pages. I convert black and white as well as gray scale jpeg images inside the tiff file. I used Compression Group4 for black and white image and JPEG compression for gray scale image. Also set the dpi of each page. But most of the viewer doesnt support my jpeg compressed pages. When I set the quality of jpeg images to 0.1f that time I m getting a view of particular images for some image viewer.
My requirement is to show the jpeg compressed image inside the IMAGING PREVIEW 2.5 VERSION. But it doesnt support for my output tiff. As well as cant get properties of that page inside the Fax viewer except Resolution 200x200 dpi.
     If anybody has any idea to compressed jpeg image inside the tiff file, please tell me how I can compress the gray scale image using jpeg compression.

JPEGS Edit In P Pro But Errors In AME

Hey Folks- I'm doing a "Ken Burns" style project- scanned 4000 x 3000 jpegs edited in a 1080p 23.97 project- lots of zooming and panning.
Edits fine, plays back fine in P Pro.
But when I go to AME to make an h.264, after a few minutes I get:
Error compiling movie.
Unknown error.
This is a 1:30 sequence, on it's way to being a 10 minute sequence (or five 1:30-3:00 sequences)
I've tried breaking it up into halves, it seems the first half encoded OK, but not the second half.
Tried dividing the second half into 2 quarters, neither encoded.
I tried copying sequences, nesting sequences, Pro Res instead of h.264, none work.
OK, I just retested the first half, it encodes to h.264 fine, but not the second half.
Is this a corruption issue??? If so, how do I fix it?
I've never had this issue before.

I think you were on the right track. Take a harder look. Split it into smaller sections. It might be just a single JPEG or a few of them that are causing a problem. Try harder to isolate them.
If you are using your render files during export, stop doing that. If you aren't - start. But delete all the cache files first and start over with a fresh render.

Windows Photo Viewer desaturates the edited photos from Photoshop?

Do I need to change a color profile in Adobe Photoshop CS6 to prevent windows photo viewer from desaturating when viewing them after edit? I gave some edited and unedited pictures to a customer and it desaturated the edited pictures but not the unedited images.

The answer is simple! Go to EDIT>COLOR SETTINGS
At the bottom you can see "Advanced Controls" - Uncheck "DESATURE MONITOR COLORS BY"

I have a weird issue on a new Sharepoint 2013-installation. It's currently configured with one web application and one site collection. It uses some customization, but within "normal limits", mainly metadata- and search-related. The "core"
is one document library with around 30.000 items. The customization offers a GUI-filter-system where you can select through the metadata which kind of document you want to open, so there's never more than about 1000 documents in one view. In some views it's
less than 10 documents.
Now, when I try to "View Properties" of a document, it takes the browser around 30 seconds to open the dialogbox. Same with "Edit Properties". Everything else (like version history) opens in the expected amount of time and everything
else on the system also works well regarding performance.
In the IIS-logs I can see that opening the DispForm.aspx of that item takes about 30 seconds. In the Sharepoint-Logs I can see that the Sharepoint works on the issue, but (what I have never seen before) between lines there are sometimes "pauses"
of 3 seconds, where the system just isn't doing anything.
CPU and RAM-utilization are normal and not spiking. The system is well equipped with CPU and RAM (more than 50% are unused during my tests).
My question is: Where is the bottleneck? Why is THIS operation taking so long and what can I do to analyze it? Anyone has any ideas?

Hi Aaron,
For this issue, I recommend to use Network in F12 tool in Internet Explorer(IE) to capture the requests sent after clicking the View Properties and Edit Properties in the ribbon.
Check the requests and find which request takes much long time and then go the detailed view of that request to see what does that request need to load.
Sometimes, big pictures, JavaScript codes, etc may cause this issue.
Please also check if this issue only occurs with the view item form and edit item form.

Create Separate Views for New,Edit and Display forms in Infopath

Hi,
I need to create a separate views for New, Edit and Display forms in infopath.
For ex : I need a Submit Button on Display form and not in New/Edit forms.
I tried, but i amnot able to get the changes.

I just validated my approach in a 2013 farm, this is precisely how it's done!
Step 1) List > Display Form
Step 2) Change the View within the Web Part Properties. In your screenshot it looks like you simply went to View Item on the single item, which is not the direction I gave =P.
**Assuming you've already created the multiple views within InfoPath, this allows you to set them up as distinct defaults for New, Edit and Display, let's make that clear. If you are not even to the point of having separate views, that is just in InfoPath,
