PSE 12 keeps wanting to uninstall! Uninstalled/reinstalled many times (UPDATED)
Very disappointed. I want to set up and install this program. So what happens? I go into the PSE 12 folder, select the Set Up application/executable, and then this dialogue box pops up, "Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for Adobe Photoshop Elements 12. The InstallShield Wizard will allow you to remove Adobe Photoshop Elements 12. To continue, click Next."
No, no, no! That's NOT what I want to do. I want to INSTALL it! (Can you tell I'm frustrated?) I was online with somebody in Adobe's Helpdesk. He gave me 2 separate files (*.exe and *.7z) to d/l to my computer. They had to be in the same folder. I saved both to my Desktop. I doubleclick on the exe, told it to extract to my Desktop.
Fine. The extracted files went into a file entitled Adobe Photoshop Elements 12. I scrolled down to Set Up, the executable file. And that's where it's completely screwed up! It won't allow me to install.
I have plenty of space on my computer. I have plenty of RAM, etc. All the specs are good. Windows 7 I even tried putting all this into a file right off the root, giving the file a small name (c:/PSE). Nothing works.
I even tried downloading the trial version, figuring I could d/l that, then upgrade by typing in the serial number. Same stupid problem; it only allows me to uninstall.
If this doesn't work by the end of today, I'm putting in for a refund.
So if you are having the same problem, what happens if you allow it to complete the 'uninstall'. Will it then let you install? Other things to try are to temporarily disable any antivirus/antimalware software and right-click the setup.exe file on the disk and select 'Run as Administrator'.

When opening iTunes on my new Windows 7 PC I continue to get the same messages, 'The program can't start because AVFoundationCF.dll is missing' and 'iTunes was not installed correctly. Error 7 (Windows error 126)' I've uninstalled and reinstalled many times to no avail, even tried it on a different user account and still nothing. I recently installed Panda Internet Security 2012 (about 12 days ago), initially iTunes worked fine as usual but within the last few days I've been unable to open it with the same messages appearing. I've read through some of these pages and tried everything that's been advised, uninstalling and reinstalling while internet and laptop security is swithched off, downloading tools to completely remove anything related to iTunes, tried it in Safe Mode, nothing has worked. I've also noticed that in the start menu when I click on iTunes, it says '(empty)' where it should have the logo and ability to start the program, does this mean it doesn't download + install properly each time I've tried? Any help would be enormously appreciated.

I found a possible solution...sort of. When I googled this problem most solutions said that it's the Ask.com toolbar that got snuck on people's systems from other installations that is causing the problem. They were told to uninstall it and to delete Asksearch.js in the components folder in their firefox directory. For those people that solved the problem. I didn't have Asksearch.js and I've installed Ask.com a long time ago.
So after disabling all my extensions and then enabling them one by one I discovered that the Leechblock extension was the one causing the problem for me. Hope this helps someone. -
What happened ? Why can I no longer print PDF on my mac pro???????? Uninstalled reinstalled 3 times very very frustrated
I cant print anything now from my computer to my hp printer. Never had this happen until November or December. Then it seemed to be OK. now today I cant print one thing. not from my gmail, or the Matrix portal I use as a realtor. My office partner is connected to the same printer and his is fine. Mine prints nothing. All I get is a print screen that says loading preview... and the .. keep moving and nothing ever shows up. If I try to to to a PDF (which is the only way we could print anything after some update last fall from the Matrix portal) it just spins ... and nothing happens . WE use to be able to print without having to save everything to a download and that changed. now I cant print anything. I need help fast.... I can't get my work done at all and I'm getting very frustrated.
I uninstalled the adobe reader and re-installed it and nothing helps. We have 2 others printers in our office and it wont let me print to them either or allow me to save it as a PDF so I can print it out that way.;

Firefox will no longer run on my computer. It's been working fine up until a few days ago. Installed the updates and now nothing. Uninstalled, reinstalled (numerous times). Click the icon and nothing. Hour glass comes up for a second and then it is gone. Running XP ver 5.1 (service pack 3) edit. I'm no techie so I have no clue what is causing this or what to do. I love firefox and miss it greatly. Anyone know what I can do to get it back?

Today, Firefox wouldn't open properly. I got a msg about opening in safe mode or another option. My XP system froze so I closed Firefox down through Task Manager. When I tried to reopen I got the ..profile can't be loaded message. I uninstalled & reinstalled Firefox and still received the ...profile can't be loaded message and I'm unable to open Firefox. I repeated the uninstall/reinstall 3 times, without success. Same message appears.
I found my profile folder in my system but I don't know what to do with it. How do I tell Firefox where to look for the folder when I can't even open Firefox? Do I copy & move it somewhere else? Should I just delete it all together and do another uninstall/reinstall of Firefox?

You can try also to perform a disk check to make sure files are not corrupted. To do so, open a command line and type chkdsk X: /F /R where X: is the letter of the drive where Firefox is installed. In the case you're asked to reboot, do it.
In the case this doesn't work, please leave us feedack, and we'll find out another possible solution. -
When I am logged into iTunes and try to purchase something the window requesting I sign in to iTunes store keeps an appearing no matter how many times I enter the password (even though I'm already signed in!). Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I opened it this morning with no problems, went to my g-mail account, pulled up an e-mail, clicked to reply, typed my respons, but when I hit send, everything went completely blank.
I have no tabs, no menu bars... nothing but the firefox logo on the top left corner and the minimize, full screen/small screen, and close/x buttons on the top left corner... that's it.
I uninstalled and reinstalled several times, but nothing works.

You say "could you see if you have the same addons installed." How do I do that, when I can't get it to open with anything but a blank screen?
I added Ghosery and Ad Block Plus... and also something similar to Ghosery, but I can't rememeber the name. I added that first... before Ghosery.
Anyway... if I completely uninstalled and then reinstalled, wouldn't I have to reinstall the add ons later?
And I did run a scan of my system with security software... it didn't find anything.
However, when I uninstalled, it uses a Firefox Uninstall Wizard... and in the wizard, there is an option to "Remove my Firefox personal data and customizations," but when you check that, it says, "This will permanently remove your bookmarks, saved passwords, cookies and customizations. You may wish to keep this information if you plan on installing another version of Firefox in the future."
I don't save passwords, don't care about the cookies, but the bookmarks took forever to collect, and I don't want to loose them.
Anyway to save or copy the more important bookmarks somewhere else?
Would clicking this option also remove the addons... and maybe that might take care of the possible malware problems that you're talking about? -
Cs5 master collection deactivate+uninstall, reinstall errors on update
I have cs5 master collection.
I had to reinstall windows form scratch.. windows is on c:. I had to reformat that drive. adobe cs5 stores some of its files on C: and some of its files in the appointed install directory, on a data drive which was f:
i deactivated+uninstalled adobe cs5.
formatted c: and installed windows. of course, some adobe files are still left over on f:
reinstalled adobe cs5 to same location on f:
started dreamweaver, help, update (to update cs5)
I get update errors on half or more of the products. another update gives th esame problem, it's stuck.
how do I fix? this isn't the first time I have had trouble with AAM.
also, adobe community help refuses to pin to the taskbar or start menu. I don't know why, it's an exe. also, cs5 doesn't make an icon for it. I tried creating a shortcut for the exe and dragging it to the taskbar, but this doesn't work either. I got it on there once, but I have no idea how.

I uninstalled and deactivated cs5 and acrobat 9, did all necessary reboots, and uninstalled all adobe products.
missed a step, so wrote this windows .cmd batch file to remove adobe leftovers after uninstall and deactivate.

I need to try this, going to take another hour or two. I hope this causes enough of an uninstall that adobe will update. I missed a step last time.I noticed the backup section is missing the file. I could really use that. I noticed an uninstall+deactivate leaves the plugins behind, and that the dirs can be copied to a safe place if you know where they are. thanks for the tip.

after a run the new revision of my removal tool, it didn't see cs5.
does the CC removal tool require any uninstallation? I would like to know, if it doesn't, that would make the uninstallation process a whole lot simpler. it should also remove adobe reader, adobe air, adobe community help if it doesn't already, adobe media player - I would assume it does this (but those aren't in the list).
I would like to see an antry where it removes everything but the adobe ID (is that a bad thing? what exactly does that do? does it remove my adobe account?) .
until then, this latest revision of my tool may or may not be of use.

I have reinstalled Itunes 10.7 many times...each time it comes back and says that it cannot recognize my iphone because AMDS is not installed...yet when I try to install it fails...and asks me to reinstall Itunes again. It seems as though it may be realated to the usb.inf file in usb.inf_amd64_neutral_153b489118ee37b8.
I have seen where others fix the issue by changing permissions on the folder and replacing the file...the file says it is 6kb...but when I open the file...there is nothing there. I cannot even change the permission on the folder...even as an administrator. Please help!!!I have had this problem with Windows 7 and iTunes updates for some time. Each time it takes hours to solve but with the over the air upgrade to IOS6 on my iPhone and iPad, I was determined to solve and remember what I did, So here it is:

How do I uninstall PSE 12? It is not listed in the control panel. I have windows 7. I want to install PSE 13.
Does the iPod show in My Computer? If so then go to My Computer>iPod>DCMI Folder and copy them from there to where you want them

Thanks. I read that link before posting here but I wasn't able to do the first part because iTunes will not ever open for me to start it in Safe mode.
Since I posted yesterday, "something" I did must have worked (but I don't know what exactly because I think I didn't do anything). But iTunes just randomly appeared on the system tray yesterday afternoon. It wouldn't open by clicking on it, so I tried to Ctl-Alt-Del to close it, thinking I'd at least get some errors to view in the log, but then about a half hour after I had tried to close it through Ctl-Alt-Del, it actually opened. I accidentally uninstalled Flash CS6. When I reinstalled it (using a download found here on the Adobe website: Download CS6 products) I was unable to move the window around my screen. There was no window "boarder", it was only a white box that I couldn't move from the upper left corner. Also there were no toolbars. My first thought was to check in the Window options, but despite my clicking on the various options nothing popped up. I also tried changing the window display options on my computer, thinking that maybe the window header was stuck somewhere "off screen" in a place I couldn't see. I also tried toggling with the "paste board" option in flash. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled flash CS multiple times, and each time its always the same.
This is really weird, I think I've tried practically everything. I just really want to talk to Adobe on the phone but they don't let you do that.
