PSE 12 won't convert my PSE11 catalog.

It keeps coming back with an 'unsuccesful' message. I tried the tips in the çommon issues converting a catalog' on the forum ( repaired catalog/ auto-analyse off etc.)
but it doesn't help.
What can i do next?
Annemiek

Work through this help article - Photoshop Elements catalog conversion failure. The log file usually gives you enough detail. For example, my conversion from 12 to 13 failed and the log correctly identified that I had two identically named slide shows in my catalog. Removing one from the v12 catalog allowed the conversion to complete (quite why v12 let me create two identically named items in the first place is not explained ).

  • PSE 10 can't convert PSE 9 catalogs on MAC

I am hoping someone can help, as I have had several sessions with Adobe help and they can't figure it out.
I have 3 catalogs in PSE 9 on my iMac, and 2 catalogs in PSE 9 on my Macbook.  All work fine.
I have installed PSE 10 on both machines. On the Macbook, PSE 10 detected my current catalog and converted it.  However, it can't 'see' the other catalog. The files are grayed out in the convert search function.
On the iMac, PSE 10 can't see any of my 3 catalogs. All are also grayed out.
One of the support people at Adobe suggested it was a permissions problem, but I have corrected that and it still doesn't work.
Does anyone hae any idea of how to make PSE 10 able to see the catalog files?
Thanks, this is driving me crazy!

I am seraching the folder in which the catalog resides.  I'm not sure what you mean by 'rather than the catalog files'.  I can see the catalog files there, but they are greyed out in PSE 10, as though PSE 10 doesn't recognize the files at all.

Conversion Log ends with "flattening 3gpp files, removing j2k files...An error was encountered in the sqlite database: unable to open database file
    conversion log: Conversion Failed.

Log says “unable to convert SQLite db” and then “Conversion failed”. This is before it does anything with specific images.  The line right before the above is “gpp files flattened . . .” which I believe are sound files

  • I am using PSE 9. I had no problem opening my Raw files from my Canon Rebel XT  Now  I have a Rebel 5ti and pse 9 won't reconize the Cr2 files

I am using PSE 9. I had no problem opening my Raw files from my Canon Rebel XT  Now  I have a Rebel 5ti and pse 9 won't reconize the Cr2 files

    See this faq:
FAQ: Will Photoshop Elements work with my camera, or Why won't my raw files open?
That will explain why each new camera model uses its own raw format. (.CR2 does not indicate a format, only a Canon family of formats).
The first link tells you what version of camera raw is needed for your camera : https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html
    You need ACR 7.4
The second link tells you which ACR versions are supported by Elements versions Camera Raw-compatible Adobe applications
    PSE9 supports version 6.5
Further down on that paper, you get links to download the free Adobe DNGconverter for Mac or Win.
This standalone software can batch convert a whole folder of raw files to the DNG raw file format that your present PSE9 can read.
Otherwise, you would have to upgrade to version 10 or later.

  • Acrobat XI Pro Won't Convert 206 Page Word Document into PDF

    Hi there
As menetioned above, Acrobat XI Pro Won't Convert my 206 Page Word Document into a PDF.  The Word document was originally a PDF file that I converted to Word and it has split all the text into sections.
It sounds like converting a PDF into Word isn't the best way to edit, re-format and then save as a PDF again.  I would love to hear your advice on this.
Thanks very much for your help!
    Fiona

First before you recreate the PDF from the Word Document.
    In word: Open Document
Next open a new Blank docment
switch back to Word click on the ¶ button
scroll to of go to very end of docment.
click just to right of the perion in the last sentence.
now go to very beginning of document
Hold down the Shift and click to the right of first letter in document.
    Now choose copy.
    Now switch to Blank document
    Choose Paste special.
    Now choose Text only.
If works all the words will be there spaced correct but with no ¶'s.
    Now insert returns as desired.
Now save as a docx file under a different name.
IF you are on a Mac use the following directions:
go to File menu > Print > PDF Hold down PDF button until Context menu pops up.
    Choose adobe PDF.
follow steps when the first window opens.
Save as PDF in desired location.
Now open the PDF in Acrobat. Document should be properly formatted and ready to go.
AS you've found The conversion is not seamless. Acrobat doesn't distingish between automatic end of line breaks and Returns and you have to put the pieces back again.  I wish Adobe and MS would get over the jealouscy of each other and share howcode works so Thatapplications could work seamlessly together.  BUt they never will.

I used to use the free version of Adobe Reader to convert my publisher files to pdf files. When I was making a booklet for our hockey team, it said I had to buy it. Now I bought it and it won't convert the files. I am ready to throw this computer out the window!! Can you tell me what is the problem? No it does not exceed 100 M. either.

Adobe Reader never converted Publisher files to PDF, for free, never. I suspect you use to have the (paid for) Adobe Acrobat. Sometimes people have Acrobat (more than $300 worth) and install Adobe Reader over the top, losing that valuable software.
That said, if you subscribed to PDF Pack it should do this conversion. What exactly happens now.

  • Flash won't import mp4 from Camtasia, demands an FLV; Media encoder won't convert to FLV; H264 isn't accepted either.

Flash won't accept the basic mp4 output from Camtasia, it tells me to use Media Encoder to convert it to FLV.
Media Encoder won't convert to F4V or FLV.
I used Media Encoder to convert to H264, but Flash will still not import it.
Could somebody please tell me the best export / convert / import options for getting Camtasia video into Flash (as an embedded video - can't do streaming).
    Any tips much appreciated.
Flash Pro CC 2014 and Camtasia Studio 8.4.4.

Get Media Encoder CS6, which supports conversion to f4v/flv:

  • PSE 11 won't open CR2 files from Canon PowerShot G15.

I was interested in PSE 11 so I could use ACR 7.x to open the raw (CR2) files from my new Canon PowerShot G15 camera--but even after updating the files, PSE 11 won't recognize my camera!  It's still not listed in the group of supported cameras on the Adobe website(s).  This camera has been out for a few months (at least!), so it's unbelievable that Adobe still won't support those files.  They only go through the G12, not up to G15.

  • Imported files won't convert

I'm trying to import some of my own audio files (mp3 and wav formats) but when I do so they supposedly 'import' but won't convert and drop into the timeline. Other files (such as those I've downloaded from iTunes) work fine. I need some ideas about what' wrong with my files. Thanks.

Try converting them in iTunes: http://www.bulletsandbones.com/GB/FAQPages/NeverFail.html
Believe it or not I once had to convert an mp3 to an mp3 to get it to work properly.

I upgraded to Mavericks and iTunes 11.1.3 and now my iTunes library won't convert to the new format. It runs for about an hour (5+K songs, MAC Mini) and then fails. It did it twice. My music is still intact and plays perfectly with VLC, etc. How do I get a fresh start on the iTunes library. It's located on an external USB drive if that makes any difference.

I would either try the iTunes forum or the Mavericks forum

If they will play but will not convert, you probably have DRM "protected" files.  Were they purchased prior to mid-2009?
If so, and you don't want to burn, your choice is either to replace them, or to upgrade them by using Match.  For the latter option, see
iTunes Store: iTunes Plus Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
and look at the section on "Can I upgrade my previously purchased music to iTunes Plus?"
