MAc book pro. I have downloaded and installed os x yosemite now mac book pro will not start? How long should it take? Is there something wrong?
The 2 computers here took about 45 minutes to an hour each.
The best thing to do is give it more time. If it gets too ridiculous, shutdown using the power button and then restart. Check menu/About This Mac to see if it is installed. -
Have a student / teacher subscription. Trying to download and install applications on new mac pro with yosemite. Old applications still work on older Mac Pro. Can't download any applications. Creative Cloud website and desktop app both fail. Very frustrating. Anyone having this problem?
Chas50 I would recommend removing the currently installed Adobe Creative software. You can then install the new versions of the Adobe Creative software included with your membership. I just paid for and downloaded the wrong version of Adobe Acrobat X Pro. I downloaded the Microsoft version and I have a Mac running OX Yosemite. How do I get a credit for what I ordered and then reorder the correct Mac version of Adobe Acrobat X Pro
If you ordered Acrobat via subscription, then you can use either Windows or Mac version. Just download/install the Mac version, then activate it with your Adobe ID.
If you purchased the perpetual license, then you need to Contact Customer Care bu chat or phone. -

I just downloaded Adobe Flash Player, but I still get the message "Adobe Flash Player out of date" and I cannot play videos. I use Mac OS X Yosemite on a MacBook Pro. How can I fix this?
1. System Preferences > Flash Player > Advanced > Delete All
Press the "Delete All" button.
Install Adobe Flash Player.

Download it first.
The next step is important.
Click Safari in the menubar and select “Quit Safari”.
Follow the prompts and install it.
Restart computer. Relaunch Safari. -

Hello. I was hoping somebody could please recommend an "Automatic" Torrent Downloader for Mac/OSX Yosemite..
I know that there are a few options out there, but most of them seem to be directed towards TV Shows.. which isn't a problem, but I was hoping for one that could be used for pretty much anything.. like applications, music, movies, TV shows, ****, whatever..
Basically, something where you could enter a "keyword" or "artist", for example, and have it automatically add whatever new torrents come up in whatever specific parameters you set (so you could basically set a music artist's name, for example, and specify music only, so that it's not downloading every video, image, or whatever that also contains that "keyword")..

Just downloaded Yosemite on my Mac and the Yosemite update for Garage Band. Now when I open an existing Garage Band project and click on a vocal track, a message window says, "Could not find General Audio 10" and have no smart controls for that track (reverb, etc.) Help?

Try this: Go to your menu bar, select "Garageband" and then "Restore Sound Library..."
It can take awhile to download as it's a pretty big library. You might need to also select "Update Sound Library..." after the restore is done. -
Problems downloading on Mac Yosemite
I'm having a really frustrating problem with downloading a few softwares running Yosemite 10.10.1. I'm a filmmaker and I've been using Premiere since CS5 and now have Premiere CC. I really want to take my current film project to a higher level, so I want to try out Audition, After Effects and Media Encoder together with Premiere. The only problem is, I can't download or install any of these trials for some reason.
At first I would get a message that said I needed to download Adobe Application Manager. I click "Get Application Manager" and it brings me to the download page, I download as normal open the folder and inside is "Install". When click this I get a message that says "Install failed to initialize - download adobe support advisor to find the problem" So I follow that and it brings me to a page that says support advisor has been discontinued. So I hit dead end #1.
So I decided to try adobe's other option for downloading these programs which is CC Desktop. I download this installer, continue to install it. The installer launches fine and makes progress then suddenly about half way through, it vanishes from my screen. I tried running in multiple times and I get nothing, the window just closes over and over. Dead end #2.
Now my latest issue... While trying to resolve the issues above, I read on this forum that someone had a similar problem with CS6 and solved it by uninstalling the adobe program utilities. I tried this and still neither application manager or CC desktop installed. But now, if I attempt to download a trial, like Audition for example, I get a message box that says, "There is no application set to open the URL *long url here* " I went into my trash and "put back" all the utility files but I still get the same message. Dead end #3.
Lastly I want to add I am the only admin on my mac and I have tried all of these installations with my firewall off as well so neither of those authorization variables are the problem. Sorry this was so long, but you understand my frustration. Adobe Indesign CS5 generally works with some very annoying bugs.
All major keyboard shortcuts that use a single key command have stopped working. and these happen to be the main ones I use all the time for editing...
t for text
z for zoom
v for pointer
It's annoying because now I have to keep going back to the tool bar to change my cursor selection. It's just slowing me down.
Annoying but workable.
Has anyone else go this issue?

I was contacted by apparently a third party supplier called Adobe Systems via this forum
They logged in to my computer via team viewer
installed utorrent
and proceed to download a cracked version of adobe cs6
in the mean time saying on skype that Adobe no longer has Adobe CS6 on their server.
This seemed very OFF to me and I disconnected the skype (and blocked Adobe Systems) and disconnected TeamViewer
If I wanted a cracked version of Adobe CS6 I'm very capable of doing this kind of thing my self
However I run a business I want to have a legitimate licensed copy of the software running for my staff.
They were offering a fully licensed version of a Adobe Master Suite CS6 with my own unique ID for USD$400
Again very OFF considering the upgrade from Adobe from Indesign CS5 to CS6 is almost AUD$1600
I don't know how they got my email address from this forum but it seems that the adobe forum has been hacked!

I have a problem with color prints from photoshop elements 12. The pictures are too light and with strange colors. I have a Canon pixma mg615I0 printer and use mac os X yosemite. The pictures are taken with a coanon eos 550d in the color space sRGB. I have followed adobes recommendations and have tried both letting the printer respektive photoshop manage the colors. But nothing works. I see that there are different opinions about which is best to do so I tried both. I have the latest printer driver installed. Can anyone help me with this?Do the following:
Print a test page from the printer. Perhaps the print head needs cleaning via its maintenance facility.
Let the printer manage colors, not PSE
Calibrate the monitor -
Problems Installing Adobe Illustrator CS4 on Mac OS X Yosemite
Hi all,
When trying to install Illustrator CS4 on Mac OS X Yosemite, I receive an error: "required resources are missing."
Previously, I had problems using Illustrator CS4 when I upgraded to Yosemite, due to an error with the plugin "photoshopimport.aip." I had attempted to uninstall Illustrator, but the uninstall also gave me errors. I ultimately used the CC Cleaner Tool to remove Illustrator.
Now, however, I can't reinstall Illustrator CS4 either! I use the version provided on Adobe's website, so it's not a problem with a physical DVD.
Any ideas for potential solutions? Many thanks!I don't have an Adobe installation log, and it's not hidden either. I tried installing Illustrator CS4 again, and I noticed that the install fails while ~80% through an "initializing" step. So, it fails before it even starts to generate an install log! I re-downloaded it and had the same error.
I did notice that I have some errors in the Adobe CC Cleaner Tool when I was removing Illustrator CS4. If you look at my first post, I couldn't use it, or uninstall it, so I simply used the Cleaner Tool to remove it. There are some errors in the Cleaner Tool log, such as this one:
