PSE 5: Creating a rounded rectangle not filled in.

I want to create a rounded rectangle with the rounded rectangle tool, but I don't want it filled it with color, just outline / stroke. I see it's been discussed here but I can't figure it out. Any advance would be great.

Another way, in addition to the ways posted above, is to draw out
your shape.
Then go to layer styles and find the style set named visibility.
There are three styles there: show, hide and ghosted. Pick the
hide style and your color will be hidden. Then Alt+double click
on the shape thumbnail to bring up the layer style settings
dialog. At the bottom of the dialog is a stroke option, where you can
choose your stroke color, size and opacity.
The advantage of this way is you can edit the settings later by double
clicking on the small fx beside the shape layer.
If you wish to restore the color later, you can use the show style in the
visibility layer style set.
Later versions of photoshop elements work the same way.

PSE error created in client 033 not 000 so it was removed now errors

One of the Basis people created system PSE in client 033. However it should have been created in 000.
The person deleted it in 100 and then wnet ot create it in 033, but I keeps giving the error. I remove the entry from 200.
I then go to recreate it on 000 however I keep getting errors when I try to create PSE (local)

Hi,
your post is a little bit confusing. There are too many clients :-). But the system PSE is client independent. There is one system PSE per instance. So it does not matter where you create it. What errors do you get?

Rounded Rectangle Tool: Only creates outlines

Desired solution: a rounded rectangle filled with color #00628b, 40px high, 200px long.
Situation: The rounded rectangle tool produces an outline in the my foreground color. I have been unable to make this tool create a rounded rectangle that is the color I listed above.

Pick the right tool in the options bar. (Ignore the pen – the choice is the same for the rounded rectangle.)

Creating Rounded Rectangle Outline Colour Issue

Hi all,
I am wanting to create a rounded rectangle, with an outline or boarder with a colour black (Or other colours). But i am unable to find where i'm able to add an outline colour as an option before drawing out the shape or after drawing the shape.
The only option i am able to do is changing the background colour of the shape created, and i was wondering if you are able to add an outline when creating or after creating a rounded rectangles or other shapes...

How to make ROUNDED rectangle default style cp8?

Hi,
I want my smart shape style to be rounded rectangle, not squared. I have set up my object styles with color and all that good stuff, but there is no way I can see to make it the rounded shape instead of the squared off shape. I also tried to change one on the properties panel thinking I could "apply to all" but that option is not available. I am trying to use smart shapes as my captions in recording and it sure would be nice not to have to touch every single one and change it to rounded - defeats the purpose of styles, yes?
Using CP8, latest version (I checked and there are no updates available), on a windows machine, 64 bit.

Rick, that option has effect on the captions inserted while creating a software simulation.
@LMS_90 About which shapes as Text container are you talking? Object styles for Shapes do not include the 'form' of the shape. And at this moment, you cannot set such a form as being included in the default style, with the one exception that Rick points out: added text during a simulation capture.
Even for Success/Failure/Hint shapes you cannot define that it always has to be a rounded rectangle. For Question slides, you can set them up in the master slides, and if you use always master slides with placeholders it is also possible. Quite a lot of the default themes have rounded rectangle shapes as text container for Title and Subtitle.
Also in the Properties the 'form' is not part of the style: if you apply the default Shape Style that includes Stroke, Fill, Character properties, Margins, Shadow...but not the shape itself. That is the reason why 'Apply to all' cannot be used for the shape form.
This is probably not the answer you expected, I try to change as much as possible in the Master slide.

Rounded rectangle tool malfunction

I have one particular image that I'm unable to apply the rounded rectangle tool to.
Here's my steps:
Flattened image.
Double clicked to unlock.
Created mask.
Clicked on rounded rec.
Clicked on solid fill.
Set at 90pix ( radius )
Pulled rounded rec tool diagonally across image.
Created rounded rec shape obscuring image below.
NOW COMES THE PROBLEM:
Unable to activate rectangle "marching ants".
Unable to click on inverse in Select.
Unable to created separate rounded rectangle shape.
I have done this successfully with other images , but this one befuddles me.
What am i missing here?

Form Captcha Issues - Error message when not filled vs. traditional "Please fill in the following:"

Just discovered an issue regarding a form using a CAPTCHA.
When I formerly submitted other forms on sites with CAPTCHA's in the forms I created, when one did not fill out the form, a pop-up window would appear allerting the customer to "Fill in the form field" that were required, including an allert to "Enter Word Verification in box below."
I have created a new form for a new site and seem to be encountering a different issue. When the form is not filled out and the user clicks "Submit" a new page loads with a red error message saying: "ERROR: An error occurred. Image verification failed. If you believe this is incorrect, please contact your system administrator or go back and re-submit the form."
How can I correct this to simply have the same required field pop-up window appear like was happening with former developed forms?? Not sure why this form is doing this when all prior forms with CAPTHCA included were just fine. Haven't done anything different to the form that I hadn't to others in the past....Please Help!! Rounded rectangle set corner radius in pixels?

If I create a rounded rectangle, is it possible to set a pixel dimension on the corner radius rather than dragging the handle and doing it by eye?

Yes. Change from the default % to px in the Properties panel. You can also enter an exact radius in the Autoshape Properties panel if you use the rounded rectangle auto shape instead of a regular rectangle.

I made a rounded rectangle with the rounded-rectangle tool. Then, as often happens, I needed to change the corner radius. Of course the "help" was useless, so a Web search revealed that YOU CAN'T CHANGE THE RADIUS.
Can I get a WTF here?
Oh, but then I read that there's an alternate way to create a rounded rectangle, which is to draw a regular rectangle and then apply a rounded-rectangle "effect" to it.
Dare I ask the question that should be obvious to even the most computer-illiterate imbecile in the audience: Why didn't the rounded-rectangle tool do this in the first place?

at the moment I have to do a lot of Java2D to draw a customized GUI. Now it comes to a simple task, filling a rounded rectangle with a gradient paint. I have a solution for this - but I don't know if it is bad to do it this way:

I don't know how "expensive" it is to create a new RoundRectangle2D. On the other hand, I don't know how to fill a rounded rectangle with a gradient paint without a RoundRectangle2D.
When I do it this way, I worry that at a later time, when I created a lot of custom components that all create shapes on a repaint, the GUI may become horrible slow or has a huge memory footprint.
Well, I would like to hear some kind of "this is okay" (maybe because those Shape implementation are all not very memory consuming and the instanciation in Java is not very time consuming) by you Java2D experts :) Or, of course, how I could do it better.

Thank you for reporting this. This has been a long standing issue with Ultiboard and we are looking into resolving this.
There is a work around although a very inconvenient one. You can set the height to what you require and use a negative offset to move the shape to the other side of the board. The 3D shape will appear on the other side, but in reality is just shifted, not mirrored.

Transaction BBP_MON_SC - the field Created By is no longer being filled out in my ITS screens; web screens. However, if I process this from SAP Gui, the field is filled. Have you seen this type of behaviour before?

961422 BBP_MON_SC: No search help for 'Created By'
764135 - Shopping cart monitor: Selection according to 'Created by'

BDC not creating automatic delivery for consignment fill up in VA01

I am doing BDC for consignment fill up in VA01. When munually run VA01, it automatically creating delivery. But when run BDC ( call transaction ) it's not creating automatic delivery. why ? I am giving below fields..

VA01 is order creation, Creating an order does not automatically create a delivery, a delivery is created with VL01N in reference to an order.
Further you should get an error log if you process a BDC, what does it tell you?

Elements 9 Error when creating panorama - could not fill because there is not enough memory (RAM)

I have elements 9. I am making a panorama using about 10 images. Each time i click in the box to fill in the edges ( content aware fill) i get the error: could not fill because there is not enough memory (RAM).
This is not possible, as i have a machine with 8gb of RAM, and i can clearly see that less than 5GB is utilized.
I tried converting the individual images to jpeg as this is considerably smaller than RAW but i get the same error.
In Photoshop preferences i have set the memory to the max amount it allows ( 3255mb in my case). why will it not let me assign more RAM to it?
I got PSE 9 for content aware fill as i do a lot of panoramas, and if this does not work, its been a waste of 100 euros.

Yes, this is very common. You can either up the amount of ram available to PSE in the editor preferences, or just let PSE finish the pano with unfilled edges. There is an action available in the forums at elementsvillage.com that will turn on the same kind of content aware patching that's in Photoshop and you can use that after leaving the pano creation feature.
EDIT I see you've already upped the memory. PSE is a 32 bit program and there's a limit to how much ram such programs can see.
