PSE 6 How do I reconnet deleted pics

I made a HUGE mistake and deleted all the pictures from the "My Pictures" folder on my hard drive. I did not know that they were connect to PSE program. After having someone come over and retrieve all my photos, the ones I were really wanting were not there. I am devestated. I can see the picture on my screen but cannot do anything with it. Anyone have any suggestions how I can get my pics back that I am missing? Thanks in advance.

IrfanView (www.IrfanView.com), a free graphics utility will let you search
for key words. It works with JPEG files, maybe others too, tagged RAW
images don't seem to be found.

If you don't have those pics on your PC at all, then you need to go to Photos view of Suite, select the device view, Select all pics and in Tools menu you have Copy to computer command.
If you still have pics on your PC (but not in Suite database), then in Photos view, you can use File --> Add Folder command

Turn on PhotoStream in iCloud.

Thus must be a pure Mac-Finder/permissions problem.
In LR, as you corrctly assume, when you are in a folder (rather than a collection), you can hit the delete-key for any image, and you will get the dialog box asking for just removing from catalog or executing a physical deletion also in your operating system.
So I would continue any further troubleshooting in Mac Finder.
If Finder would not support the volume of the external hard disk (due to wrong formatting for Mac?), how can the image be read then?
If only deletion is denied, it might be a permissions problem.

A couple days ago I received an alert on my phone that said something like, "You cannot make or receive calls. Connect to iTunes to restore." I connected to iTunes and backed up the phone then started the restore. Before the restore could begin it ended the process and said, "Something is wrong with your iPhone please contact support, Apple Store etc". The Apple Store could not even complete a restore. The number of pictures/videos on the device is irrelevant. If there is not available space on the device, there is no way to take pictures. Pictures, videos, music, iBooks, and any other media share the same space.
Might be a good idea to manage the content on the device going forward so that there is always space available.
Try not to fall into the misconception that many others experience, believing that the iPhone is a storage device, it simply is not. Instead it is intended to be a mirror of the content on the computer.
