PSE 7+ Sudden Animation Time Delay problem?

I've been using Photoshop Elements 7+ for a long time now. And I've been able to make animations with it. Such as can bee seen on this url: http://i47.tinypic.com/35iumww.gif I know how to change the Time/Frame delay settings quite fine. But as of today my time delay hasn't been working. This is quite random considering I haven't done any kind of updating or editing to the program in general. When trying to set the time delay to 0.15 and clicking the preview button, I find that my animation is as at the default number's speed, 2. Upon changing the time delay many different times, from 0 to 10 (the min and the max), the animation's speed still doesn't change.  I'm at the end of my rope with this and none of my PSE educationed associates know what could possibly be wrong. I did download two fonts today, but that's it. So unless someone might be able to figure out what's changed, then I might have to try and re-install the program. Something I don't want to do. I have a visual if that's of any help.

Also, I am using a Mac.

Which version are you using now? You can't be using PSE 7 on a mac, because there is no PSE 7 for mac. The frame delay problem exists in the mac versions 6 through 10. You can either upgrade to PSE 11 or use a program like the free giffun from stone.com to assemble the gif and set the frame rate.

  • Time delay between 2 waveforms

    Hi,
    Please bear with me while I explain what I’m trying to do :-)   Basically, in the attached LabView file (“flow vis + trigger-m.vi”), I am generating 2 signals: a sinusoidal waveform (used to drive an actuator) and a square waveform (used as a TTL signal to trigger image capture on a CCD camera). Currently when I run the program using LabView 7, both signals are started simultaneously. I would like to introduce a time delay that can be manually specified in the VI, such that when the program is started (i.e. at time t0), the sinusoidal waveform also starts (i.e. at time t0) before the square waveform (i.e. at time t0 + delay time). In a practical sense, this means allowing the actuator to run for several seconds before capturing any images.
    It sounds like it should be quite straightforward to do, but I’m not so sure how to progress. I have begun to modify the original VI (“flow vis + trigger-m_2.vi”, as attached), but would be much appreciative of any help or suggestions on how I can complete the VI to meet the above requirement.
    Many thanks,
    Mark

  • My recirculating pump in sub vi simulation link doesnt work in the second iteration .It opens for maybe half a second whereas i gave the time delay for 5 secs..plz help very urgent

    Hi,
         I have attached my simulation loop.In the model attached i hav eone main pump with constant rpm which drives the 5 smaller pumps and fills the tank at the same time.As soon as the tanks reach their 90% level,the valves of the five pumps close(SP1,SP2,SP3,Sp4,Sp5).After that the recirculating pumps opens for 5 secs of the first tank.As soon as the recirculation finishes,the drain valve(SV1) for tank 1 open and the volume goes to interim storage.This happens for all the remaining tanks.
    My simulation works the first time,but when the second time the loop starts,it skips the recirculation pump even though i gave a time delay for 5 secs.Plz help ..I have attached the simulation.

    Rami,
    I suspect that you have a race condition. The widespread use of local variables frequently leads to race conditions. Your subVI (Spatial Logic Sub_2.vi was not included) so I cannot run the VI. You have no way of knowing whether the subVI or the inner case structure will execute first, because there is no data dependency between them.
    I think a shift register or a few and some dataflow thinking would allow you to eliminate the inner case structure, the local variables, and, probably, most of your problems.
    Some of the SPi are indicators and some are controls. How are they used?
    The last case of the inner loop retursn to Case 1. Would case 0 be better?
    As for the second time through issue, it may be related to the Elapsed time function Auto Reset. From the help file: "Resets the start time to the value in Present (s) when the Express VI reaches the Time Target (s)." If more than 5 seconds elapses between the first time you use this and the next, it will exit immediately on the subsequent calls.

  • Crosscorrelation time delay question

    Hi!
    I have a project, where i work with 2 microphones, and i want to calculate the time delay between the two signals. I had made a simple method for it, but it's a bit bad...
    So now i  try it with crosscorrelation, but i can't get a correct time-format...i had made the correlation correct, i have just some problem with the time format...
    If i convert the time format into string with %<digit>, then i always becom 0...
    Here is my vi, can somebody help me?

    I took a peek- your problem is with the format string on the timestamp to string functions.  Your format strings are "%5u" and "%S"  the %5u returns a string that represents 5 digits of fractional seconds, the %S converts only the whole number of seconds
    FROM the help-
    for format timestamp to string
    ..." Time
    format codes include the following:
    %a (abbreviated
    weekday name),
    %b (abbreviated month name),
    %c (locale-specific date/time),
    %d (day of month),
    %H (hour,
    24-hour clock),
    %I (hour, 12-hour clock),
    %m (month number),
    %M
    (minute),
    %p (a.m./p.m. flag),
    %S (second), %x
    (locale-specific date),
    %X (locale-specific time),
    %y (year within century),
    %Y (year including century),
    %<digit>u (fractional seconds with <digit> precision).
    So, How do you want to display the time information?  If you want 1 January 1900 12:00:00.000AM to display as "1/1/1900 12:00:00.0am" your format string should be "%d/%m/%Y\s%I:%M:%S%1u\s%p"  (ESCAPE CODES DISPLAYED)

  • Use the LabView time delay in a while loop instead of using the instrument inherent time loop.

    I have a zes lmg500 that I use. It has the option of continues measuring data, with a user control cycle loop (still using a while loop but the delay is coming from the instrument). The problem is that the loop time is not constant. Can I use a very short time (100ms) as the instrument cycle time but use a longer time delay in the while loop that collect the data?
    I know many instrument offer the same abilities, so the question is relevant to all of them.
    Thanks for any help

    Does that measurement VI have built-in wait functionality and a timeout?
    If not, then you are simply polling the VI at 1 kHz, but I suspect that this is not the case or your Waveform Chart probably wouldn't look as you expect (getting 0's put in everytime measurement data is not available).
    I expect that if you have the instrument set up to send data at a fixed time interval (i.e. 100 ms), all the data that it is sending you will end up residing in your serial buffer (or the instrument driver will have taken it out and put it in another internal buffer), so if you come back to read it 1 sec later, then you will have 10 data points to go through.  Whether you can read them all at once with the read VI or have to call it a whole bunch of times until empty I can't say.
    What is your objective?

  • What I've noticed about the Video Delay Problem of...

    I was able to take a look at my old vids from way back V110. I've noticed everytime they improved the camera pictures, the video & audio sync suffer. My old videos didn't have audio delay problems even if they were more than a minute long.

    I ordered 2 iPhone 4's from the AT&T Premier site on July 9 (my company has an agreement with AT&T). My credit card company immediately flagged the purchase as possible fraud, so it took a day or two to clear that up. The order went to "Processing" status on the AT&T Premier site on July 12. It stayed in that status until yesterday, July 20, when it changed to a status of "Shipped" and I got an email from AT&T with the FedEx tracking number. FedEx says that the phones shipped from Texas yesterday night and are on schedule to be delivered to me in Connecticut today (July 21). That's only 8 business days and includes the screw up from my credit card company - better than I expected. The "Processing" time probably included the time it took to ship the phones from Apple's factory in China to the AT&T facility in Texas.
    By the way, here's the deal I got from AT&T Premier:
    $38.50 - 550 shared minute plan (1st iPhone)
    $ 9.99 - Additional line (2nd iPhone)
    $19.25 - 2Gb personal data (1st iPhone)
    $19.25 - 2Gb personal data (2nd iPhone)
    $ 0.00 - pay as you go texting

  • Using more than one time delay in a thread

    Hello,
         I need to use two non-consecutive time delays in a thread. My thread typically proceeds as follows:
    1. Tell an oriel MS257 to change wavelengths
    2. Time delay #1 to give the MS257 time to change
    3. Tell HP 4156C to start sweeping
    4. Poll the 4156C until sweeping is complete
    5. Time delay #2 to give 4156C time to load data
    6. Read/parse/save data
    My problem is that the second time delay seems to start counting immediately after the first one - it does not wait for the sweeping to complete before counting. My VI is attached. It's a bit messy - organizational tips are also welcome!
    Thanks,
    Ying

    Looking into the sources show: Cleanup is a nice tool (even thought it is far from perfect )
    Well, nevertheless, from the wireworking, it seems alright that the second Time Delay express VI should indeed wait for the loop to finish. Therefore, i am wondering why it is skipped. And the only reasonable explanation: You have an error on the error cluster.
    So please debug into it using highlight/probes on the error cluster to make sure that you are not running into issues here.
    hope this helps,

    my problem is that there are no output and input parameter is changing very fast,but subvi has results only when the subvi runs in the process of highlight.
    i think it might because of time delay,but i don't kown how to correct it.

    I cannot open your VIs.  It appears that the language differences may be an issue. LabVIEW does not recognize them as valid LV files.
    Generally when a VI runs correctly with Highlight Execution on and does not run correctly with it off, it is an indication that there are timing issues in the VI.
    If you are reconfiguring the serial ports in the 54 module version, you may not be allowing enough time for port to get set up before attempting to communicate. Do you have 54 different serial ports? What kind of hardware are you using for the ports?

  • Unwanted time delay

        I am trying to control the motion of a stepper motor using LabView 8.0.  I have had success controlling it with the terminal that comes with the motor, however I would like to have an end-user friendly interface.  I have written a vi that works fine, with the exception of one problem.  When I command the motor to make a move, there is a delay of about 10 seconds before the motor actually moves.  Attached to the boolean control is an indicator light which remains on after I click the button, and it stays on for about 10 seconds before the motor makes its scheduled move.  I am using stacked sequence loops with five frames (one for acceleration, velocity, position, deceleration, and the command to begin the move).  I do not believe it is a CPU issue, since the terminal is able to control the motor with instantaneous results.  Does anybody have any suggestions as to how to eliminate this time delay? Thanks in advance for any help.
    Tom

    Tom,
    After looking over the code for a bit, I noticed that there
    are several ActiveX methods that get called every time the while loop iterates,
    regardless of the functionality needed.  The
    following commands are sent every time the while loop iterates:
    TDX
    PF 7
    ST
    SH
    The other commands are not called every time the loop
    iterates because of the case structures.
    They are called only when needed.
    ActiveX is by nature slow.  You
    are communicating between programs and then communicating from one program to
    an external device.  Conceivably, all
    four of those commands could have to execute after the button is pressed to
    move the motor and before the movement code begins.  Try manipulating your code so that ActiveX
    methods are called at a minimum.
    Also, for curiosity’s sake, what is your setup here?  I haven’t encountered someone doing motion
    control in LabVIEW through ActiveX before.  What hardware are you talking to?  What are you communicating with through
    ActiveX?
    Thanks,
    Luke H

  • Urgent: Please help. how to solve the time delay during buffer read and write using vc++

    I need to continuously acquire data from daqmx card, write into a file and at the same time corelate (in terms of time) the data with signals from other instruments. The current problem is that there is time delay during read and write data into buffer,thus causing misalignment of the data from multiple instruments. Is there a way to solve  the delay? or Is there a way to mark the time of the data acquisition in the buffer?  If I know the starting time (e.g. 0) of data acquisition and sampling rate (e.g. 1kHz), can I simply add 1ms to each data sample in the buffer? The current code is shown below.
    void DataCollectionWin::ConnectDAQ()
    DAQmxErrChk(DAQmxCreateTask ("", &taskHandle));
        DAQmxErrChk(DAQmxCreateAIVoltageChan(taskHandle,"Dev1/ai0,Dev1/ai1,Dev1/ai2,Dev1/ai3,Dev1/ai4,Dev1/ai5,Dev1/ai16,Dev1/ai17,Dev1/ai18,Dev1/ai19,Dev1/ai20,Dev1/ai21,Dev1/ai6,Dev1/ai7,Dev1/ai22","",DAQmx_Val_Cfg_Default,-10.0,10.0,DAQmx_Val_Volts,NULL));
      DAQmxErrChk(DAQmxCfgSampClkTiming(taskHandle,"",1000.0,DAQmx_Val_Rising,DAQmx_Val_ContSamps,60000));
      DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxRegisterEveryNSamplesEvent(taskHandle,DAQmx_Val_Acquired_Into_Buffer,50,0,EveryNCallback,NULL));// Every 50 samples the EveryNSamplesEvent will be trigured, to reduce time delay.
      DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxRegisterDoneEvent(taskHandle,0,DoneCallback,NULL));
      DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxStartTask(taskHandle));
    int32 CVICALLBACK EveryNCallback(TaskHandle taskHandle, int32 everyNsamplesEventType, uInt32 nSamples, void *callbackData)
     DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxReadAnalogF64(taskHandle,50,10.0,DAQmx_Val_GroupByScanNumber,data,50*15,&read,NULL));
       //memcpy(l_data,data,6000);
      SetEvent(hEvent);
    l_usstatus_e[0]=g_usstatus[0];// signals from other instruments that need to be corelated with the data from daq cards.
     l_optstatus_e[0]=g_optstatus[0];
     if( read>0 ) // write data into file
       //indicator=1;
     for (i=0;i<read;i++)
     {  //fprintf(datafile,"%d\t",i);
      fprintf(datafile,"%c\t",l_usstatus_s[0]);
      fprintf(datafile,"%c\t",l_usstatus_e[0]);
            fprintf(datafile,"%c\t",l_optstatus_s[0]);
      fprintf(datafile,"%c\t",l_optstatus_e[0]);
              fprintf(datafile,"%.2f\t",data[15*i]);
     //   sprintf( pszTemp, "%f", data[6*i]);
     // pListCtrl->SetItemText(0, 2, pszTemp);
        //pWnd->m_trackinglist.SetItemText(0, 2, pszTemp);
         fprintf(datafile,"%.2f\t",data[15*i+1]);
         fprintf(datafile,"%.2f\t",data[15*i+2]);

    Hello kgy,
    It is a bit of a judgment call. You should just choose the board that you think has the most to do with your issue. For example, this issue was much more focused on setting up your data acquisition task than the Measurement Studio environment/tools, so the MultifunctionDAQ board would have been the best place for it. As for moving your post to another board, I do not believe that is possible.

    Dan King

  • Providing time delay

    Hi
    In my application i am using a html to pdf converter tool.
    And this conversion is done running a command like
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec(runCommand); // where runCommand is my command to convert the provided html to pdf.
    Then i need to open the created pdf.
    So i used , Runtime.getRuntime().exec("rundll32 url.dll,FileProtocolHandler " + pdfPath); // where pdfPath tells the physical path of my pdf.
    Creation and opening is working fine when the html is very small.
    But the problem is that, as the html size is big, its taking time to create the pdf.
    so the opening code is executed before the pdf is created.
    So i need to give a delay between these two line.that is to check whether the pdf creation is complete or not.
    i tried giving some time delay but still when the size of html changes its not working.
    What would be the better way to do this irrespective to size of html????
    It would be a great help..

    You might want a loop that after a short delay tests if the file is ready, and if not (perhaps some exception is thrown), go back to sleep again and test again.

  • Time delay error

    I am currently programming in DasyLab using previously collected data.  I continually get an error when using the time delay module that I am not sure what to do about.  The Time Delay module works fine if I use a delay defined in units of blocks, but if I change to delaying the signal by units of samples or seconds, I get an error that reads "The data at one input of the module are of the wrong type."  I have not changed the input, only the delay units (from blocks to samples or seconds).  Why do I get this error?  I have even started over with a blank page, using only my input data and a time delay, to make sure it wasn't anything else on my worksheet that was creating this error.  Please advise.
    Thank you.

  • Time delay with video cht

    when I video chat with other apple users there is a time delay of 3 minutes. I can hear them speak, but it's not coordinated with their mouths. They say they get a 2 second delay. I use comcast & wonder if the problem lies there. They all have Mac OS 10.5.4 also. I also use time Capsule & wonder if that could be part of the problem.
    Joan

    i have a very similar problem with my ichat. it just started this year. The other user sees me fine, but i see them with a delay that seems to get bigger and bigger as the chat gets longer. I have tried wirelessly connecting to my airport extreme as well as hard wiring and it didnt change anything. i set the bandwith limit to 500 and the streaming speed to 1.5 mbps. i have comcast cable internet with a download speed of about 800 kb/s-1 mb/s, so i dont kno what to tell you. Maybe you have an obsolete computer. I have a suspicion that mine are messed up because i am on a power pc g5 and my friends or all on intels but who knows.
