PSE 7 System Requirements

Hello
I would like to know, if my computer IBM TP R50 Intel Pentium M Processor 1.5 GHz Centrino (Windows XP SP3) is capable of running PSE 7?
Adobe System Requirements just says: Processor speed min. 2 GHz.
I have tried to get a more detailed answer from Adobe regarding the PSE 7 System requirements compared with my PC processor but Adobe told me I should reference the PSE 7 System Requirements.
Now I am stuck in the middle because I don't want to buy a new PC because of the vage PSE 7 System Requirements.
Your advice is appreciated.
Thanks alot for your help.
Bernd

Bernd,
Well your 1.5 GHz is below the 2.0 GHz that Adobe stated. So it is probably marginal and may depend on how patient you want to be when waiting for a response from PSE 7.
So I do agree with the suggestion to use the PSE 7 trial. Also, if you post additional info, that may help us to give you suggestions about how to best use PSE 7 on your specific laptop.
How much RAM is installed on that laptop? How much space is available on the hard drive?
If you are currently running an earlier version of PSE, which version do you run? Do you do editing using multiple layers? Do you do creations like slide shows?

Yes, it works. Download the trial and see for yourself. Adobe never updates the system requirements after any version is released, so that is what was available last Sept. when PSE 13 was released.

  • Photoshop Elements 12 system requirements

I'm thinking of buying Elements 12 but the system requirements for mac OSX is 10.7 or higher. I have mac OSX 10.6.8 so I shouldn't be able to use this version, should I?
I've downloaded the trial version and it's running fine but does that mean the full version will run just as well also?

You could also upgrade to mavericks 10.9 for free if your mac meets the necessary system requirements.
    OS X Mavericks: System Requirements
Just keep in mind that if you have any applications that require Rosetta to run, you won't be able to use them on mavericks.
When I had pse 12 on snow leopard, I was able to update the camera raw plugin using Help>Updates, but only up to camera raw 8.3
(camera raw 8.5 is the most recent version for pse 12, but won't work on snow leopard)

  • Photoshop Elements 11 hard drive space system requirement?

I have a macbook pro with 4gb of memory in the hard-drive. I wanted to get photoshop elements 11 but the system requirements includes 4gb of hard-drive. Because some of my memory has been used up, does that mean I can not install photoshop elements 11 in my computer?

Just to get the terminology clear: you're not mixing RAM specs with hard drive space, are you?
Photoshop Elements 11 requires 1 GB of RAM and 4GB of hard drive space
    http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/release-note/photoshop-elements-11-release-notes .html#main-pars_header_0
MacBook Pros come with 8GB of system RAM. Older models had 4GB of RAM. Plenty for PSE11 or PSE12.
    http://www.apple.com/macbook-pro/specs-retina/
Hard drives are usually are 128GB or 256GB or 512GB or higher. Again, plenty for PSE11 or PSE12.
What are the exact specs (RAM and hard drive storage) of your MacBook Pro and how much hard drive space do you have free?
Plus, bear in mind that Photoshop Elements 12 was released in late September and is now the current version. Adobe no longer sells PSE 11.

  • Elements 6 for Mac - System Requirements

I currently have a Power PC Mac (OSX 10.4.11) on which I run Elements 4 for Mac.
I have on order an Intel Core 2 Duo Mac which will have OSX 10.5.5.
Elements 4 will not run on the Intel Core 2 Duo Mac because it appears to be for Power PC Macs only.
The System Requirements for Elements 6 appears to indicate that it will only run on OS 10.4.8 through 10.5.2.
Unless I am missing something fundamental it appears that there is no version of Elements which I will be able to run on my new Mac computer. It seems strange that the latest incarnation of Elements for Mac will not run on the latest operating system.
Am I understanding the position correctly ?

I have installed PSE 6 on my mac with 10.5.6. I installed on the admin account and it works fine on that account, however, it does not work completely on the primary account - the effects, themes, layouts, etc. do not appear on the left hand side, just the boxes for them. Any ideas? I did uninstall and reinstall on the primary account, still no success.

  • SharePoint Server 2013 single server installation licenses and system requirements

We are thinking of setting up a SharePoint Server 2013 for the following features to be accessed by our test team (<100 users)
Our requirements are as follows -
Total user access <100 users(starts with 50 and may be go upto 100)
Mainly Access to TeamSite(Document library), WiKi, BI reports view(SSRS Reports integration)
We have a Visual Studio Ultimate license that covers SQL Server 2012 and Share Point server 2013.
We have also got a Amazon EC2 machine access to create a Xlarge box with Microsoft recommended Cores, Memory, storage for SINGLE INSTALLATION of SharePoint Server 2013 and SQL server database on Windows Server 2012
    My queries are as follows
Are the licenses above sufficient to go ahead with setting up the SP Server? or do i need any other licenses ?
I would like to create local LDAP in amazon without connecting to the company active directory. Would this be possible? We have users from other locations(different countries) providing services to our company and we would like them to access this portal
to share and access docuemnts without any network issue etc..
Are there any known firewall issues with EC2 machines for share point deployment
System requirements for single server installation (with or without BI reports)
Please note this implementation is only for internal use by the test team and is not critical. Not a production implementation.
    Is there any better solution?
    Much appreciate your help
    Thanks
    Vara

MSDN subscription licenses for SharePoint aren't, as far as i know, for use as production devices. This means that whilst you can use it for testing and development you can't use that license for the SharePoint server that you'll all be using.
As such I think you will need to buy a SharePoint 2013 server license. The same goes for SQL, Windows etc.
There is also the question of user licenses, ie. CALs. I don't remember if those come included as part of an MSDN subscription.
    2) Possibly. As long as Amazon can host a domain for you it should be possible.
    3) Pass. Microsoft prefer you to use Azure and most of my training and experience is with that.
    4) High. 4 cores, 24GB of RAM minimum.
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc262485.aspx#hwforwebserver
You'll either need a 2XLarge or a memory orientated box, in which case you won't have much storage space.
Internal team infrastructure is still important. If you're using it enough to make it worth having then you need it there and running.
Have you considered using Office 365?

  • On installation of Firefox 4 beta, it tells me that it won't run on my Mac. When I go to system requirements, it takes me to a page for Firefox3.6 requirements. Where can I find the requirements for the beta?

The link to system requirements for Firefox 4 beta takes you to a page that gives you the requirements for Firefox 3.6 instead. I assume that the requirements for the beta are different as I can't seem to install the beta on my Macs. Where can I find the beta system requirements?

I never expected Mozilla to neglect the users of Apple's PowerPC (PPC) computers, while still supporting much older operating environments such as Windows XP. So, I should just throw away a $6,000 system, which is still fast and functional, and contribute masses of heavy metals to land-fills because…?
I'm hurt and confused after supporting Firefox for many years — installing and using it not only on my own computers but on most of my customers' computers. Now I have to tell my customers with PPC Macs they can't have a secure cross-platform browsing experience from Mozilla. They'll have to learn to use some other browser, or buy a new computer.
If one doesn't buy a new computer every year, one doesn't deserve Firefox 4. This is sort of sounding more like a Microsoft™© doctrine. (But wait, I can still have Firefox 4 on a ''SERIOUSLY CRAPPY WINDBLOWS XP pile of rubbish?!'') Please open your eyes Mozilla. This just doesn't make sense.

  • Questions on the capabilities of the Adobe media server and system requirements

    Hello
We need to send multiple video streams on different computers and screens in our organization. To do this, we need a dedicated server with the following functionality:
    - transmit up to ten (or even more) HD and FullHD streams simultaneously
    - manage playlists in real time without relaunching stream every time after adding items to the playlist
    - imposing of any text and video effects
    - use a variety of sources: a folder with pictures for the slideshow, video and audio files, video capture devices, video streaming from other resources
Is Adobe media server suitable for our tasks?
What are the system requirements (I do not mean minimum requierements)?
If we buy adobe media server, will it be enough? Or we will have to buy additional software products to provide all the necessary functionality?
    Thank you.

    1 and 2 is possible
    3 is not
4 AMS is not an encoder and does not encode or create streams. You have to use other software for that.Adobe FMLE is for live streaming...Use third part software like manycam(a virtual webcam on your machine) to generate video sources out of slide shows.

  • Questions about System Requirements for Adobe Air programs

Earlier today I asked someone who runs Tweetdeck if they knew what the system requirements were for running Tweetdeck on my desktop (Windows)
they gave me a link here: http://www.adobe.com/products/air/systemreqs/
    and I found this:
    Windows
    2.33GHz Intel® Pentium® 4, AMD Athlon® 64 2800+, or faster processor
Microsoft® Windows® XP Home, Professional, or Tablet PC Edition with  Service Pack 3; Windows Server® 2003 or 2008; Windows Vista® Home  Premium, Business, Ultimate, or Enterprise (including 64-bit editions)  with Service Pack 2; or Windows 7
    512MB of RAM (1GB recommended)
    Here are my computer statistics:
Operating System: Windows Vista™ Home Basic (6.0, Build 6001) Service Pack 1 (6001.vistasp1_ldr.101014-0432)
               Language: English (Regional Setting: English)
    System Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard
System Model: Compaq Presario CQ60 Notebook PC
                   BIOS: PhoenixBIOS 4.0 Release 6.1
              Processor: AMD Athlon Dual-Core QL-65 (2 CPUs), ~2.1GHz
                 Memory: 2814MB RAM
Page File: 1858MB used, 3993MB available

        DirectX Version: DirectX 10
    DX Setup Parameters: Not found
         DxDiag Version: 6.00.6001.18000 32bit Unicode
Will me only having a 2.1GHz processor really affect how my performance is with Adobe Air products/apps in general?

Yes- I've had some lower price pc's using an Adobe AIR app and can tell the difference.
Computers where performance was a huge issue was Compaq CQ56 & Toshiba Satellite C655D
These computers are under 2.0 GHz and the app seems to freeze up on occassion or run slower.

  • Adobe after effects cs6 system requirements

    Hi,
I would like to purchase the adobe master collection cs6, but I wonder if my laptop matches the system requirements, specially my graphic card (with Adobe after effects or adobe premiere pro)
    my laptop:
    Win 7 64 bits
    Intel Core 2 Duo CPU
    P7450 2.13 GHz
    4 Go RAM
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4500 Series
Could you please tell me your opinion?
    thanks a lot

The graphics card will work for normal OpenGL acceleration, but not anything else. Anything with CUDA will require an NVidia card. Read the system specs here and here. What's not listed there, is not supported for GPU accelerated raytracing or Mercury Playback. It's that simple. All that aside, it's simply not gonna be fun to run eitehr of the programs on your system. The processor is just weak and 4GB is not much on a 64bit system.

  • Final Cut Studio 2 Minimum System Requirements

Help me Obi Wan Kenobi....You're my only hope
I own a Dual 867 MHz Power PC G4 with 1.25 GB of ram and want to purchase Final Cut Studio 2, OS X v10.5 Leopard and Adobe Photoshop CS3. I know Adobe Photoshop CS3 and Leopard are compatible, However what concerns me is Final Cut Studio 2. These are the Minimum System Requirements stated [A Mac computer with a 1.25GHz or faster PowerPC G4 or G5, Intel Core Duo, Intel Core 2 Duo, or Intel Xeon processor] So my question is would Final Cut Studio 2 work efficiently or even at all on my computer? My thinking is with collectively 1734 GHz power it should work, But i could also be delusional. I really would hate to end of buying it only to find put it won't work.
    Thanks in advance!!!

If you're LUCKY, you might find a replacement processor card for your MDD Powermac G4 - (ideally dual 1.42GHz) - maybe eBay? - maybe from a Mac "breakers yard"? or someone selling off parts from a blown motherboard example?
It's a drop-in replacement, assuming you're OK with a screwdriver and replacement thermal paste.

  • System Requirements for PS CC, is my Windows 8.1 tablet fit enough?

    Hello everyone,
I have this Windows 8.1 tablet/laptop kind of thing in my hands. I have been asked to have a copy of PS. I actually was asked to directly just pirate it, but a 3-4 month subscription didn't look much expensive to me, so I won't. I either will buy it or won't have it at all, depending on the answer to this question:
Can this device handle PS CC?
    Intel Core i5-3337U CPU
    1.80 GHz (4 CPUs)
    Windows 8.1 OS
    4096 MB of RAM
    DDR3 at 1600 MHz
    128 GB of disk space
    SSD through SATA2
    ~40 GB free
    1920 x 1080 display
    Intel HD Graphics 4000
    Integrated & Shared
This is what I'm worried about the most
For full list of disclosed specs: http://www.samsung.com/us/computer/pcs/XE700T1C-K01US#key-specs
Now the System Requirements page for PS CC: https://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/tech-specs.html
Are the specifications of the device I have are good enough? Specifically on the aspects of Processor and the GPU, which I don't have any at all in reality...
I can always try the product before buying it, but I wanted to ask about it before even trying it.

4 GB is the absolute minmum to launch Photoshop, 8 GB the minimum to run it well.
You cannot underestimate the HUGE importance of having enough available contiguous scratch disk space, as well as enough HS space for the swap files of the OS.
    BOILERPLATE TEXT:
The rule of thumb I follow to figure out scratch space says to figure on 50 to 100 times the size of your largest file ever multiplied by the number of files you have open.  I have seen the scratch file exceed 800 GB once, an admittedly rare occurrence, but it often exceeds 200 GB when stitching large panoramas and the like.
As an example—and stressing that I'm aware that others have even more scratch space than I do—I keep two dedicated, physically separate hard drives as my primary and secondary Photoshop scratch disks and a lot of GB free on my boot drive for the OS.  I also have 16 GB of RAM installed.
Additionally, if you only have a single HD, i.e. your boot drive, you'd need it to be large enough to accommodate both the swap files of the OS as well as Photoshop's scratch.
