PSE 8 is broken -  needs to be returned  -- no support pages-- no tech support

Concise problem statement:
Going to print a 11mb + file and simply changing the printer,
get error window popup:
"could not complete your request because there is not enough memory"
Then again when clicking on SETUP of printer.
After setup wait forever for PREVIEW to appear and often it hangs WIN7.
Not even task manager is avail.
Havn't reproducably crashed windows since around 1999 !
Win7 64 bit Intel i7 2.6ghz 2 cores,
1gb ATI 5870
4gb ram

    Hi..
    I am having some problems with my Flash Project.
    At the moment the whole thing works but I now need it to do something I have never done before.
    Basically, the user will select a page and the project will then run, via actionscript 3.0 coding, a sound file and display the appropriate page within the timeline.
    I have a back button that once tapped will return to home page.
    I now need it to return to home page 10 secs after the sound file has stopped as well as keep the function of the back button.
    What do I do?
    I can provide the coding I am using if required.
    I am currently using Flash Pro CS6 on a Win 7 Pro PC.

    Thank you Ned for your help, however as I do not really understand how the settimeout function works, it has now made me more confused.
    I think I have nutted out what I am trying to say.
    Essentially my project is like a web page if you like.
    I have six individual pages which all display a picture and play a sound file.
    What I would like to do is after each page is selected it will play a sound file, I then want it to wait 10 secs and then go back to a
    home page (which will be frame 1) or if they are impatient there is a back button that directs you back to frame 1.
    I have included the code used by the back button to manually get back to frame 1 either whilst the sound file is playing or after it has finished

    Unfortunately this is notoriously difficult to convey and what appears logical to poster inevitably doesn't to the recipient; whereas on S60 devices there is the hope of keyboard shortcut or voice activation defined this option is not available here.

  • Canceling FIOS - What needs to be returned?

    I have been a long time Fios customer, but canceled my service.
    I was told I would be sent prepaid boxes to return my equipment.
    My question is what needs to be returned, based on what I have?
    DVR  - Yes.
    Cable card - Unsure?
    Router - Unsure, FAQ states it doesn't have to be if I had service for at least a year?
    Digital adapter boxes - Unsure, they were offered as free about 3 years ago?

    If the cable card is installed in Verizon owned equipment, it obviously goes back with the equipment. If it is installed in a TiVo or Televsion set or similar customer owned device, I would be very susprised if Verizon wants it back. The Cable Card is 'paired' to a device, and I believe the pairing is 'permanent' as a security feature. As a result a 'used' cable card is worthless once it comes out of the device it was paired with.

    I have build a task flow (bounded task flow) in my application and I want to redirect on task flow return, to another page from the application. This page is not part of the flow. From what I am reading till now everything I found is to call another task flow on return, but I do not need this. I just need to redirect to a specific page. Can anyone help on this?

    Thanks but is there no possibility at all to navigate to another page within the aplication (not of the same task flow)? I was thinking something like FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext().redirect("Page1") on action method on a button of the page; But I am getting an error saying that can not find the Page1.

  • How can I return to previous page? There used to be an arrow in upper left side of screen that would allow this, but it has disappeared.

    I have the latest version of Firefox, 5.0 installed today, but no arrow in upper left part of screen that previously would let me return to previous page.

    can I somehow edit the location of where I can find all the sheets (right now they are on top of the page, and you can't see all of them listed at quick glance but must scroll/arrow through them)
    On my machine I just hit shift-command-j (the keyboard shortcut I assigned in System Preferences) and a list of the sheets in the current document pops up:
    I type a number from the list and jump immediately to that sheet. The hands never have to leave the keyboard.
    (This particular document had a sheet named for each month.  But the sheets in your document automatically will be listed instead.)
    This is done via a Jump to Sheet Automator Service (Dropbox download).  To install just doubleclick the .workflow package and (if needed) click 'Download Anyway' in System Preferences > Privacy & Security.
    Installation will cause a new item to appear in your Numbers > Services menu.  Then, if you want a keyboard shortcut, go here in System Preferences and add one:
    You can rename or remove the service by holding down the option key in Finder and choosing Go > Library > Services. You can also view the AppleScript contaned within the service by opening the .workflow package in Automator.
    Note, also, that in Numbers 3 you don't have to use those left-right arrows upper right to slowly scroll left-right to the sheets that are out of view.  Just move your cursor up to the "band" with the "tabs" and drag left or right.  That's much faster than using the arrows.

  • Sharepoint Site returns a blank page

    Hi,
    I am working on a project with my professor and for it I need to set up SharePoint 2013.
    The installation process worked out fine. I created a new Application Pool, and also a Site collection associated with it.
    Central Admin page is working fine but when I try to open Site I created I get three login attempts and then a blank page is returned. I have seen many questions like this one and they advised to turn off Windows Authentication. I have turned off all the
    authentications and when I try to access the site I get no prompts asking for credentials but it still returns a blank page.
    When I try to access the same site from a different machine (no the server), I believe the page designer is supposed to come up. However, I get the SharePoint page saying "Working on it" and it stays there it does not go any further.
    PS: I am setting up a 2-tier farm.

    According to your post, my understanding is that you got three login attempts before it loaded a blank page.
    For this issue, we can run the following power shell command to disable the
    LoopbackCheck.
    New-ItemProperty HKLM:\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa -Name "DisableLoopbackCheck" -value "1" -PropertyType dword
    You may have to restart the servers and will have run this from all of your SharePoint servers.
    You can also navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa in registry and create the dword32 for
    DisableLoopbackCheck, modify the value to 1.

    What’s more, we also can try creating a new web app in SharePoint Central Admin and see if you are able to access that site correctly.  If you are then the odds are that something went wrong during the provisioning of the original web app.

    I have a requirement to display an acknowledgement message after a button has been pressed and return to home page.
    I created some JS and tested on a standalone button.

    which ever is the easiest to accomplish....
    currently when someone completes a form they are taken back
    to there main
    pool of records... in some cases there are over 100 records
    per location and
    the page is setup to display 20 records per page..
    So one case may be that i found the record i need to view and
    edit on page 3
    of 5. I click the record.. edit and submit.. i receive my
    confirmation that
    the changes were made and then redirected back to the records
    list. So if i
    want to see what the record looks like, i have to get to page
    3 again to
    view the record as it now displays on the list.
    So my question is how can i return the person back to the
    same page they
    found that record OR is there any easy way to display only
    the modified
    record first in the list and once they navigate away from
    that page the list
    is back in numerical order?

    Page 1 Page 2 Page 3
    2 6 10
    3 7 11
    4 8 12
    5 9 13

    Glassfish 3.1.2.2
    Platform is 32bit Linux, Amazon EC2
    I am reasonably certain that I have deployed apex.war and i.war correctly to Glassfish, and defined a virtual path and a database connection correctly.
    When running Firefox on the EC2 machine, browsing to
    http://localhost:8080/apex/dad1/
    returns a login page no problem. But browsing to the external, publicly visible, address (I have to obscure the actual address, I'll use a.b.c.d) either from the hosting machine or across the net returns an empty page:
    http://a.b.c.d:8080/apex/dad1/
    This succeeds:
    http://a.b.c.d:8080
    I get the standard Glassfish page so I know Glassfish is listening on that address.
    I have also tried starting the listener standalone, and I get the same effect: it returns a login screen when browsing to the localhost, but going to the external address I get a blank page.
    The pages really are blank, nothing shows in the page source and this is all Firebug returns:

    I have been trying to enable tracing of the request on the server side, but I haven't yet found a way to produce the equivalent of an access.log. Searching the forum did produce a couple of references to "routing rules" but I have been unable to find what and where these might be.
    As the listener works perfectly when going to localhost, I cannot believe that rthis is the common problem of not finding imges, or an issue with url mapping. But I am of course open to any suggestions!

    Fixed. Finally tracked it down, a redirection problem fixed with patch 16760897.

    It is a zip package and you have to unzip it and run the script file named '''firefox''' inside the unzipped folder. You have to go inside this folder every time to run this file or you can create a link to the '''firefox''' file on the desktop. In this case please note that the old Firefox installation will still exist and the usual links will open that instead of the new one.
