PSE 8 - Why is there not a slide show in 16x9 format?

Warum gibt es nicht eine Diashow im 16x9 Format?
It would be good if the PSE 8 with a new format 16x9 would make an update!

Hello, when a slide show with PSE (slideshow) in the 16:9 format is created, then the zoom can not be used. After transmission to the PRE proposed format is not mandatory. The TV then displays a border around the Image.
Again, a 16:9 aspect ratio in the tool slideshow in PSE with zoom 16:9 would be a very large value for PSE+PRE! Then I would not have to use a competing product.
I still have hope!!

Ask a fifth time, and maybe the answer will appear.
Are the notes actually in iCloud?  If you go to iCloud.com and log in, do you see them there?  If so, it's an issue on your computer side.  If not, then the notes don't exist on the server.

  • When is iCloud going to fix there SPAM filters already?! Why is there not an Allow list in iCloud?!

When is iCloud going to fix there SPAM filters already?
! I have received 3 consecutive emails from the same domain although I marked the first one to arrive as SPAM. Truth be told none of them should get through. Why is there not an Allow list in iCloud?!

They say it can take up to 15 minutes for the SPAM filters to start working after you mark them as SPAM but I was receiving these at a greater than 15 minute interval.
Don't they do an MX record check on these emails to check if they are SPAM?
My guess is Apple has hired a 3rd party business to do SPAM scanning before the SPAM ever gets to Apple. They need to get on them.

  • Convert iphoto slide show to mov format?

hello, I just want to ask that, can I convert iphoto slide show into mov format??? I tried to select all pics, and export them as a mov, but the problem is, in the iphoto slide show, the pics can be moved and fit the screen size, but when I i export it, the pics just set in the middle , no any effect.

    1. Select the photos you want to use, and click on the +. In the window that appears, select slideshow, and give your project a title.
    2. Choose your transitions and music.
    3. Go to File>Export; this will create a QuickTime movie- a .mov file.
    4. For information on playback, read this section from QuickTime Player Help.
    _Viewing Movies at Full Screen_
You can set the screen so that only the movie is visible, not the QuickTime Player window, desktop, or other windows. This presentation setting is called "full-screen mode." (You can also set a movie to play at half size, double size, or other sizes.)
To play a movie at full screen, do one of the following:
    Choose View > Full Screen.
Choose View > Present Movie, choose Full Screen, and click Play.
To quit full-screen mode, press Esc. To adjust the way the picture is sized to fit your screen, such as stretched to fit or in letterbox format, move the pointer to the top of the screen to display the QuickTime Player menu options, and then choose a setting from the View menu. The following additional options are available in full-screen mode:
Fit to Screen: The content is scaled to fill your screen as fully as possible without cropping the movie or changing the aspect ratio.
Zoom: The content is scaled and cropped to completely fill your screen in at least one dimension. This can eliminate black areas on the top (letterboxing) or side (pillarboxing) but may hide or distort the content.
Panoramic: The content is scaled to fit your screen and the outer horizontal edges compressed to avoid cropping the image.
You can also cycle through all of the available full-screen options by clicking the button in the movie controls that appear when you move the pointer.
You can also set options for all movies playing at full screen. For example, you can hide the movie controls or change the amount of time they're displayed before being hidden. To set these options, see QuickTime Player preferences.
Note: As long as "Display full-screen controls" is selected in QuickTime Player Preferences, you can make hidden controls appear by moving the pointer.
    I hope this helps.

Why are there only 10 options under "Set Metadata Format"?
    These are:
    Caption
    Title
    Filename
    Author
    Copyright
    Comments
    Keywords
    Date/Time
    Aperture
    Shutter Speed
Has anyone found a way to to change this?

    Hi.
Can you find the "Comments" field into the Metadata? Because I don't find it and when I write something in the box Aperture tells me that the box is "unlink" from the metadata...
How can I add a (free) comment to my photos in a book?
Thank you very much for your reply

  • Why doesn't a saved slide show in PSE-6.0 show in Organizer?

    Two questions:
1-I've created a few slide shows in Photoshop Elements 6.0 (running Windows Vista-64) and until recently have been able to find and reopen/edit them in Organizer.  For some reason none are showing at top of Organizer, even though I can find the file in folder Adobe:/PhotoshopElements/Catalogs/CIB Catalog/Projects.  I've even reinstalled PSE6.0 and still won't show newly created slide show projects.  Any ideas of what I need to do to be able to create, save and then go back to work on a slide show?  My goal is to create a slide show to copy to a DVD for viewing on a TV and don't want to try and do this all in one session.
2-Why are the photos not linked to the correct folder when I try to open and edit it, even after I've just reinstalled PSE-6.0?  I don't want to go thru the Browse option to relink up the thumbnail to the original photo.
Thanks very much in advance and I looked up previous discussions about "slide shows" but didn't see this discussed, so sorry if this question has already been covered.

    For the slidehshow thumbnail --
I have always been able to find my slideshow thumbnail in the Thumbnail view as long as I had the Media Types to display set to include projects/creations. I would not expect to find the slideshow thumbnail using Folder Location and definitely not using Import Batch (because a slide show is not part of an import batch) . You did not post your current setting for Media Types, so I suggest that you investigate its setting.
However, your problem with the photos showing on the Z drive is probably more serious
One odd thing I've just noticed is that all files in PSE-6 show the
files being on the "Z" drive, but they are on the "C" drive in Windows
Explorer.  I am using a cloud based storage service (Trend Micro's
SaveSync) and it designates the "Z" drive as the cloud drive, so this is
    odd.
My second question is related to all my photos, not
just ones I've tried to organize into a Slide Show Project.  I've tried
different photos in many different folders and all of them show the same
message of "Searching for Missing File".  Since I just reloaded PSE-6
I'm very surprised by this error.
If by "reloaded" you mean reinstalled, then the relevant fact is that the reinstall does not modify the Elements Catalog (which is where those pointers to the photo file location on the Z drive reside). So a reinstall of the PSE software would not have an effect here.
Unfortunately, I can not predict or even guess how the Trend Micro SaveSync works and what it would do that would make the PSE Organizer think it should look on the Z drive to find your photo files.  The Search for Missing File is most probably caused by that Z drive reference.
    All I can suggest is
-- look in the Organizer Preferences for a preference about reconnecting files automatically and set that preference to NOT reconnect automatically so that you have better control of when and how the info about photo file locatin that is stored in the elements catalog is modified  .
-- then use the thumbnail view within the Organizer and right click on the thumbnail for one photo and then choose the Reconnect of a single photo
-- can you reconnect that single photo successfully and have it show the C drive as its location ?
-- if yes try a few more photos
-- if you can reconnect several photos, then I suggest that you read the following for a suggestion on how to reconnect many photo files

  • Why do photos pixilate in slide show mode pse 11

Photo quailty pixilates when in slide show or full screen mode in pse 11 organizer.  Used to have PhotoAlbum 2 and this did not happen, photos used in full screen mode with other software are still fine.

    Hi Dave
The slideshow editor is only a preview window. It enables you to order and re-order your slides, transitions, pan & zoom etc. The images get rendered at the output stage e.g. when you burn a disk, save a wmv or PDF file, send to a connected TV card, or output to Premiere Elements where many other formats are available.
To view your actual images select the first thumbnail in an Album or anywhere in the Organizer, hit F11 and click play.

  • Pse 7 organizer crashes when outputting slide show

PSE 7 closes down with the message that organizer has encountered a problem when I try to output a slide show in any form - create wmv, send to Premier Elements, write cd/dvd - a part of the file is actually output since I am able to go in and find it - once about 180 mb once about 60 mb. I have gone through the process adobe reccommends of deleting pref files, uninstalling cd/dvd drives, changing registry, uninstall, reinstall etc.  all to no avail.  I am able to do a slide show in Elements 6 and output that to Premier Elements.  Is there a way to open the PSE 7 slide show in PSE 6?   I really don't want to have to go back and recreate the slide show if I don't have too.
I should add that I sat and watched taskmanager while the process of exporting was being attempted and it doesn't appear that the problem is a computer related memory problem.  I also read the information created when the incident occured in the elements log (I couldn't  understand enough of what I was reading to find where things went wrong)
    Any help would be great.
    Mary Lou

I am also having the problem with crashes using PSE 7 when I try to take thenewly created album and export it to a CD/DVD. I get a message that PSE has an error and must be shut down. I am running Vista 32 bit with 4MEG or memory and an additional 4 MEG of flash.  Is there a update or download I can use to eliminate this problem in Organizer? I wouuld appreciate any assistance.

  • IPhoto does not retain slide show settings

I'm making a simple slide show using the Ken Burns effect. Some of the transitions work well, but others cut off the tops of heads and titles I imported from another program. I find Title slides very difficult to create in iPhoto but that's another story.
There doesn't seem to be any way to save or finalize a slide show. Just when I think I've set it the way I want, it takes over and starts cutting off pieces of the images. I have tried cropping within iPhoto, or editing in Photoshop using the "edit in external editor" option. My changes do not get saved so there are ridiculous unprofessional chopped-off slides. I'd like this to look right before I post it at my organization's website and am getting frustrated.

Success! Thank you so much. I would have replied sooner but I spent the morning going through your advice step by step and every time I gave my slide show a tweak - it worked.
As I enter this reply I am exporting the slideshow so it can be uploaded.
In case this should be helpful to another user I'll go through your queries:
Are you creating the slideshow directly from an album of photos or user the iPhoto Slideshow mode?
    • I am still blundering along figuring out the distinctions between Events and Albums. In this case I imported my slides into the Photos section, in carefully numbered sequence because on my previous import they ended up in a confusing mess. I dragged and dropped the numbered files into the slideshow I was creating.
Are the cut off photos in the portrait orientation?
    • Mostly, but not always.
Are you using the Ken Burns theme or applying KB to selected photos?
    • I used KB, even though I knew I was asking for trouble…
    What theme are you using?
    • KB was the theme I picked because it seemed to work best for this set of images. I tried Classic with dissolves but after tweaking using your information, preferred KB and am using it.
First guess is that you have the optiion to Scale photos to fill screen selected:
    • I was completely ignorant of this feature. Very important!
If you're using a specific theme some of them do not handle portrait oriented photos well. They do get cut off at top and bottom.
    • I will keep that in mind for future slide shows.
Also set the aspect ration to TV: 4:3 unless the photos are in the widescreen size ratio: 16:9
    • This may have been the final setting for success.
Now I can face my boss

  • I have connected my iPad 2 to an Infocus X1 projector using a 30 pin / VGA connection cord. The iPad displays the slide display mode only and does not permit slide show to be launched?

I have connected my iPad 2 to an Infocus X1 projector using a 30 pin / VGA connector.  The iPad will not change from slide sorter mode to presentation mode. How do I change the iPad to 'slide show' and get the projector remote to respond to changing slides?

  • Notes on Slide Show Photos

I'm making a number of slide shows from color slides. I want to put short notes on the bottom of the photos so the notes appear on the pictures as they are shown. Can I do this with I Photo or do I have to get other software to add this feature?
    Thanks
    Pineapple

I don't think you can add notes to the bottom of an iPhoto slideshow, although you may be able to do so if making the slideshow in iMovie or Quicktime. I suggest posting to the iPhoto forum where you'll get more specific help from users who work with iPhoto.

  • How can I create a DVD (not CD) slide show with PSE8. Is the only option CD?

Do I need to upgrade to PSE9 for the DVD option for slide show output?

No, you can't create a video dvd with just PSE, and PSE 9 is no different from any other version where this is concerned. (Adobe wants you to use Premiere Elements.) However, if you have a DVD burner, you must have gotten some kind of software with it that can make a DVD for you. Create your slideshow, output as WMV and then use your other software to burn the actual video disc.
