PSE 9.0 rollback please help

Hi
I cannot get PSE 9.0 to install. It keeps failing on the shared technologies installation.
I have read loads of posts on here but still cannot find a fix.
Can somebody please take a look at the log file for me?

Strange glitch in PSE 10...please help!?

Two or more files open in the project bin. All files are opened as saved...no unsaved changes.
I adjust the layer opacity of any layer in any of the open images.
Before saving, I click on any of the other images to switch to it.
The layer opacity change is carried over to the image that I switched to on whatever layer was already selected in that image.
Example:
Image A has 2 layers (Background and Levels 1). Image B has the same. The opacity of Levels 1 is 100% on both images.
I open both files in the project bin. The Levels 1 layer is selected in both images.
I adjust the opacity of Levels 1 (IMG A) to 50%.
If I immediately click on IMG B before saving IMG A, then the Levels 1 opacity in IMG B is also changed to 50% without me adjusting it.
This has just recently started happening. I usually work with multiple files open and I'm sure I would have noticed this before now. Has anyone else encountered a similar issue or can anyone else replicate this situation? Any ideas on what might be causing this? Any help would be greatly appreaciated.

I actually uninstalled PSE and then reinstalled and I still have the same problem. No preferences have been changed at all.
Also, the ctrl+alt+shift while restarting does not work. It just brings up the program / icon properties window. It does not allow the program to start at all.
Anyone have any other ideas?

Download ONLY PSE 12 Organizer? Please help!

I'm truly in need of some help here... I recently downloaded the Photoshop Elements 12 Editor from the Mac App Store, thinking that I would combine it withiPhoto instead of Photoshop Elements 12 Organizer (I work on an iMac and am completely new to Photoshop). However, this does not work at all for me (very difficult to organize the photos and the edited copies, etc.), and I now want tobuy/download only the Organizer so I then have both Elements parts. Is this possible from the Adobe website? Everywhere I look I only see the option of downloading the complete Elements 12 including both Editor and Organizer. Since I've already paid for the Editor through App Store, I don't want to buy it again, but only get the Organizer as a complement. I would be very grateful for your help how to solve my situation!

No, sorry, you can't. Adobe doesn't do that. Some people have been able to use the Report a Problem link on the receipt to cajole apple into letting them return it, but lately they seem to have gotten tired of doing that. Wouldn't hurt to try though.
As for working with iphoto you have two main options:
1. Set PSE as your external editor and send the photos from iphoto. Save, not Save As, without changing the name or format once you're through editing and iphoto will remember last saved edits + original, although you will lose the edits if you want to see the original again. To make this work you will need to go to the PSE preferences>saving files and set On First Save to save over existing.
2. Export the photos from iphoto, use file>Open in PSE, then make as many changes to name or format as you like. Import the saved images back to iphoto as new files.

PSE icons instead of the photo. I need to view photos at a glance. Please help me????

Please help, this is driving me crazy. I have downloaded my free PSE #9, it came with my Leica Camera. I cannot view at a glance any of my photos. There is only an icon that reads, PSE. To view any of my photos, I must click select and then preview. This gets old, and I am doing 4 times the work. I am having to use the dates to guess where my photos might be. I hate this! My old Photo Shop #5 didn't do this. When you went to my pictures, you could see every photo.
I have tried the right click and open as any program. What ever program I choose, that is the icon that appears. No photo. Still no good.

Hi,
Are you using Windows Explorer to view the files?
If so, load Explorer, go to the Tools menu and select Folder Options.
Click on the View tab and make sure the first option (Always show icons, never thumbnails) is not checked.
Click on OK and see if that is any better.

well, I can't answer questions about iPhoto, but either the photos are on your hard disk somewhere (in which case you won't lose them), or they are not on your hard disk somewhere (in which case I hope you have made recent backups).
So which is it? Can you find the photos on your hard disk, or not?

Please help--Error message in PSE 7

When I open PSE 7 I'm getting an error message that says:
Microsoft Visual C ++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error Program....Adobe Photoshop, etc
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact the application support team for information.
and a couple times the message just says Adobe Photoshop has stopped working and must close.
When I click "okay" the entire program shuts down.
This started about 10 days ago. I uninstalled the program and re-installed and it worked okay. Now today the message is back again. I've tried unplugging everything, restarting the computer and nothing is working. I am using Windows Vista.

the PSE 7 program for almost a year with no problem until now. Is there some way that I can talk to

PSE 8 Editor will not launch-Please HELP!

I purchased PSE 8 and installed it to my computer, which meets all system requirements.
After everything was installed, I opened and Adobe ID account. When the welcome screen appears and I click on "Edit" the screen says "Launching Editor" for about 3 seconds, stops, and then nothing happens. I read the "Read Me" section that comes with the software and it mentions a problem with the Editor Launcher having trouble initializing. The instructions are to click "Edit" from the welcome screen, then click SHIFT+ALT+CTRL (or whatever order, I've tried everything) and then click "YES" for rebuilding editor launching preferences. Well, when I click "Edit" and SHIFT+ALT+CTRL, NOTHING happens!!!! I don't get any kind of response.
I have unistalled, reinstalled... I am so frustrated. I have used PSE 3 in the past and have never had any trouble. I have already wasted 2 hours on this program and I haven't even used it!

I still can't open PSE 11 since I purchased it weeks ago. Please help.

I'm posting this here too because I don't get a response from anyone anywhere. I purchased PSE 11 a few weeks ago and I have yet been able to even use it. I don't even know who can help me and I can't even find a phone number. I try to open PSE 11 and I get this error: Could not open a scratch file because the file could not be found.
I used to use PSE 2 and it was really simple. Open and go. But this new one doesn't even open. Please please help or let me know how I can seek help.

Now that you've copied the Preferences file from the other account to this one, does the behavior change, or do you get the same Scratch Disk error? You can try deleting (or renaming) the Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 Prefs file to force the Editor to recreate it. Also, the keyboard shortcut to reset preferences is Ctrl+Alt+Shift (not Ctrl+Shift+Del). On top of that, if you hold down just Ctrl+Alt, you can select your Scratch disk at launch.

This temp file gets created either in a temp folder or the root of the hard drive if a secondary hard drive is selected. Another possible source of the problem is that this user account has issues with access to the location where it is trying to create the Scratch Disk. File and Folder permissions, which control this access, is different for each user account. Further to what dominic said, in PSE 11 and 12, you get to Reset Tool by clicking the four-lined square on the upper right of the Tool Options area. In older versions, click the tiny triangle or tool icon at the far left of the Options Bar.

Error message when trying to start Elements 7 after restore of PC (Win XP) "failed to start b/c application configuration is incorrect". When trying to uninstall 7, it doesn't show up in Conrol Panel. But there is a Photoshop 7 folder in Program files. If someone could PLEASE HELP, it would be greatly appreciated. Note:
It is not correct to specify begin and end snapshots where the begin snapshot and end snapshot were taken from different instance startups. In other words, the instance must not have been shutdown between the times that the begin and end snapshots were taken.
At the first part of the report the database id is given. Do a select * from STATS$DATABASE_INSTANCE and verify that the DBID present matches the database/instance you are attempting to run the reprot upon. The report should be ran from the same instance in which the snapshots were taken.

500 Internal Server Error again pleas (including log file)..please help

1. After i unziped and installed jdeveloper to:

2. Then i created the untitled1.jsp page ---> only showed Hello world and save
3. the Embedded OC4J Server compiled successfully ..i thought this meant nothing wrong with the code.
Successful compilation:0 errors, 0 warnings..
4. But when i looked into the Embedded OC4J Server-Log

6. I still did know the real problems then i read the installation guide of jdev
is it necessary to set the JavaHome in C:\Jdevstudio\jdev\bin\jdev.conf
or do i need to set ORACLEHome in this file

it seemed fine...
8. Anything wrong with admin.jar....
9. is the problem from setting not setting jdk (javahome) or admin.jar...or OC4J problems please help
