PSE 9 Changing FIle FOrmat

Please help! Beginning yesterday, PSE9 has been changing my filr format. I Save As TIFF, and it stays a JPEG. If I try to save a TIFF file as JPEG, it remains TIFF. Now 10 files won't open and it says "unknown" even though I can see it on both the organizer and in the file it was saved to. Please help!!

A couple of thoughts:
Don't use any punctuation marks in the file name, except for hyphens and underscores.
Manually type in the file extension.

Part of it - in my way of doing is
Roxio Toast™ Pro incl BD-component.
• Burn short AVCHD - on standard DVDs (20-30 minutes at HD quality) - NEED Blu-Ray player to be viewed
or BD-burner and disks - for full Blu-Ray Disks (not got to this yet)
I think that saving as .mpeg4 H.264 and save on USB-memory to be put into PlayStation3 also keep high quality playback.

i opened a classpath file with IE and selected the "always open with" option. from then it is showing the IE symbol for classpath file. how to change this for original format.? please tell me..

currently i have requirement where i need to do following processiing
first i have to check media type
is it image,audio or video??
if image is not in the png format then i have to change that image from other format to .png file
eg from jpeg to png
similarly i have requirement for changing video of any type to .3gp format
if file type is audio then i have to change it to .midi format
can any one provide me help for that ??

You can't just generically go from one format to
another.
If you have specific set of acceptable image formats
and video formats you can sit down and plan how to do
it in Java.
There are many formats that you can convert using
Java but not all possible formats.can you give me any hint or code to do how to change media formats from one format to another

No option to change file format! PLEASE HELP!!!

When sending any documents from my MacBook Pro to a Window's computer, via email, I can't open the files from a Window's computer. This is when saved as a document usuing Pages, Keynote, Numbers and also any PDF files I have downloaded from the internet. Also when I go to save the file, there is no option for file format? Any ideas? This is driving me crazy and stopping me being able to work!

Essentially, yes. Save keeps the same file type.
Export will allow to change the file type.
Save As allows you to keep the current file unchaged while saving your changes to a new file.
You want Export. That will allow you to change the file type.
I was addressing BobRz in regards to Save As.

Exits/Badis for FP03DM to change file format(row length)

Hello Experts,
I want to find out the exits/BADI's for changing the file format while submitting a file for collection agency during mass processing ( FP03DM ).
I know there are events 5062, 5063, 5064 but they only enable me to change the existing field contents and not the length..etc of rows in the file.
Please suggest

Hi Ricky,
Your problem can have two solutions:
1. Fill the data in event 5062, 5063 and 5064. These events update table 'dfkkcolfile_p_w'. From there by passing Issue Date and ID, you can pick all records to be submitted to Collection Agency. The using event 1799, you can pick all these records and create your own file. (Preferable)
2. You can customize structures FKKCOLFILE_HEADER, FKKCOLFILE, FKKCOLFILE_TRAILER to include your own fields. But in this case, it fields would be in same order as structure.

Changing file format

I am trying to change the import file format to AAC. I followed the directions that the iTunes help has given me. However, when I went to Edit > Preferences, click Advanced, and then click Importing ... there is no tab for Importing.
where would it be located??

On the latest version of iTunes 8.2--the import settings are located on the General Tab--there's a button in the middle of the box "Import Settings".

Change file format in save as dialog

when i 'save as' in photoshop cs4 to change a psd to jpeg, the extension does not change.
example: original file- 123.psd, save-as 123.jpeg. instead of adding .jpeg, cs4 adds the word 'copy' in the file name and keeps .psd. if i try to open the file again, ps says it is not a supported format and does this until i manually change the extension to jpg.
any ideas?

Can i lock DW CS3 pages so Front Page can add links w/o changing file format?

I am in a situation where i create web pages for other users.
I am using Dreamweaver CS3 to create the webpages, in some cases
modify pages created in Front Page. Other users need to put
document links on the pages, they use front page to do this. When
they open the pages in Dreamweaver to insert the link, front page
chages the file automatically and saves it back to the server. Is
there a setting i can use to Lock the format or freeze it so Front
Page does not change formating automatically?

Changing file format for images

To save on memory, my boss wants me to change my images from bitmaps to png files. Should I go imto the project folder and open each file and re-save it, then make sure the link has the right extension. Any thoughts on the best way to do this?

Don't get me wrong here, Scripting is great and it's amazing with what it can do and I always appreciate seeing posts from Praful that address issues. I think that's wonderful. I really do.
But why isn't this as simple as using the Multi-file find and replace tool to locate .BMP inside the files and replace it with .PNG?
Am I missing something? I must be.

Change File Format For Existing Library Files? How?

Lightroom v5.3: I'm a long time DNG file user for Pentax and Nikon cameras. I recently discovered that about 300 of my RAW Nikon files already imported into the Library are NEF files instead of DNG files as my other 5700 files are.
I know that I made an error somewhere along the way, but- Is there an easy solution to converting those existing NEF files to the DNG format?
I was thinking of renaming them, but..........somehow that seems too easy.

Photoshop CS3 - I cannot change file format

This just happened now and I've restarted few times. I open a TIF file, got to "Save As..." and choose JPEG. The extension does not change in the file name on top and if I do try and hit "Save" I am given the JPEG Options and if I hit "OK" the file that is saved is still a TIF.
Please help.

How do change file format for videos to be compatible with iDVD?

My husband's uncle sent us several short files of video he took with his camera or cell phone, and I really want to burn them onto a DVD using iDVD. When I drag one of the files into the program, however, it says "your last action is not supported by iDVD." All the other videos in my iPhoto works, so I'm guessing it's the wrong type of file. Does anyone know how to change to file type so it's iDVD compatible? Right now the files are ".MOV." The one I have that are ".AVI" seem to work just fine. Any insight is appreciated!!

You need to convert those files to something iMovie can handle, like DV, before bringing them into iDVD.

Changing file formats of song in Library

I want to convert a song from m4a TO A mp3 . It says to do this under preferences,advnanced, and the import button . I dont have an import button there. Any idea how to convert?

Checkmark means it will play when it gets its turn, instead of needing to be individually double-clicked. It also means it will get included in a Smart Playlist that is set for "Match checked items only." Normally you should keep all your songs checked.
