PSE 9 cs5 Animation fehlt

Hallo Zusammen !!

Gabi

  • Photoshop CS5, animated gif, how to add url to 1 frame.

I have created an animated gif in Photoshop CS5 and want to embed a url to one of the 3 frames.
    How do I do this?
I've read that I can use the slice tool to do this (?), but if so, I need help in laymans language as to how to do this.
The animated gif is for a website on a wordpress platform. When this particular frame is clicked, it should link to the url which I want to add.
    Please help!
    Thank you.

Whoops, sorry put this in the lightroom forum by mistake. Will post it in the PS CS5.

  • .mov opened in PSE CS5, saved as .psd, now PSE won't reopen it

I'm working on masking some video, and figured out a workflow that starts in Photoshop Extended CS5 and then moves to After Effects CS5. As instructed by this Adobe tutorial, I can do this by opening my footage (.mov's) in PSE, saving as a .psd, then adding that .psd to AE, which will read all the layers and timelines and effects as they were in PSE.
But after I save that .psd, it wont open in PSE. It gives me this message:
"Could not complete your request because the file is not compatible with this version of Photoshop."
even if I try to load the .psd into AE, I get this:
"The Photoshop Library operation failed because the file is not compatible with this version of Photoshop."
Other threads (e.g.) indicate this is what happens when the file is corrupted, usually due to working off a server or with NAV. but I'm working locally (a 2x3.2ghz MacPro, OSX 10.5.8), and without Norton at all. I also duplicated the process several times (opening a .mov, altering it, saving it as .psd, and trying to reopen) and I got the same message every time. It seems unlikely that each file would get corrupted every single time...
If anyone could help, I would be much much obliged. Merry Christmas!
UPDATE: The .psd will open in PS CS3, but with plenty of CS5 stuff missing. Re-saved as a CS3 psd, and that re-opens in CS3, but not PSE or AE CS5 (as to be expected). Don't know if this matters at all. Thanks!

Is your copy of Photoshop CS5 up to date?  That does sound a little like a bug that was fixed in 12.0.1.
And the simplest answer it is. I updated, and now it's working like a charm. Thanks Chris!
(sorry bout the PSE mixup – what's PS Extended called? PSX?)

  • CS5 Animation Presets MIA?

In CS5 I don't see the animation presets in the Effects Control Panel. Have they moved elsewhere?
Its convenient to see the presets I've created for several effects here rather than searching the Effects and Presets Panel for them.

from the "What's new" section of After Effects CS5 Help:
"The Show Animation Presets option is now off by default in the panel menu of the Effect Controls panel."
If you're curious about a change between After Effects CS4 and After Effects CS5, I recommend checking that page first. Every change worth noting is there.

  • CS5 Animation Timeline problems (display/graphics glitches)

In CS5 12.0.5 x64 I use the Animation Timeline to create frame by frame animations and most of the time it works fine. However recently I am encountering a problem with the display. The problems seem to happen whenever I make a selection with the lasso and do a Free Transform (it especially doesn't like rotations). The 'marching ants' along with the entire display seems to freeze up and not respond. Clicking other layers will not change the 'frozen' image until I make a stroke with the tablet or mouse, then the image refreshes to the new selected layer, but stays frozen in the same way, and so on. The animation in the timeline will not playback through the frames/layers once this happens and I have to restart the program. Then the bug happens again as soon as I make another free transform. It doesn't seem to affect all my files, only certain ones where I use the Animation Timeline.
I have an i7 processor with 12gb of ram and an EVGA Geforce GTX 560 Ti with the latest drivers. I have OpenGL turned off and have deleted my preferences.
Here are my performance settings (this may be the problem?):
    I Let Photoshop Use 6319 MB (58%)
    My History States are 65
    Cache Levels are 4
    Cache Tile Size is 128K
    Scratch Disk is just C:\

It kind of sounds like a memory or video driver issue. What resolution is your document set at?
Mylenium is correct. When creating frame based animation each frame is linked to a layer. So to animate the motion of the selected portion it needs to be on new layers as it moves (each time you rotate or move, create a new layer. The smaller the increment the more layers needed, but will produce a smoother longer animation). The stationary portion(s) don't need to be on new layers because they are not moving and can be seen due to the transparent areas around the selection.
    I hope that  makes sense.

  • Photoshop CS5 animation option: render issues

    Hey there,
I'm working on a stop motion animation (made with photos only) for class with added drawn on  animations. It's been working out fine until now. Since the animation is  long, I cut everything into short sequences so I know length is not an  issue. Here's what's wrong: I've arrived to a part where the drawn part  of the animation gets more important and therefore more detailed. The  animated sequence when played with CS5 looks fine, more or less fluid,  maybe a little laggy but it looks good. The problem is, when I export > render video (I choose AVI and it's been working fine), the end  result is disastrous and looks nothing like what was played in  photoshop. Originally the viewer should see a mass turning into a girl  who then turns around and it looks good in the program but on the  rendered video the shapes sort of leak into each other and don't evolve  properly (it's difficult to explain).
I tried working on different computers, making the image neater (the  resolution is high which might explain the lagginess but the not the  horrible end result), changing the fps,... I'm out of ideas and the deadline is  approaching and I'm completely stuck at the most important part of the  animation!
Please help, I'm considering doing this manually with movie maker which is just... no good.
    Any help welcomed, I'm desperate.
    Thanks.

    Hey Yukanegishi
Try using Adobe Premiere when making animations.
Its so easy, to use and very good results.
The only thing i manage to do was in the sister program to adobe and that was a .GIF picture that lagged horrible

  • CS5 Animation HELP!!

Im using Photoshop CS5 and im trying to create a animation where a bar goes through the inside of the text, but when i move the object in the second frame, the first frame does the same! Can anyone help me? This problem is getting really annoying!

You might try something like the following:
Click on the screenshots for larger views.
    1. Select the rectangle tool and make shape layer
    2. Clip the shape layer to the previous layer (Layer>Create Clipping Mask) and
move the shape using the move tool to about the left edge of the white line.
    3. In the animation panel press the Duplicate Selected Frames button and then
move the shape using the move tool to about the right edge of the white line.
    4. Press the Tweens animation frames button in the animation panel and set as below.
    5. Press play and see how it looks. (click the gif below to play)
None of these settings are set in stone and of my animation has a lot of room for improvement
so feel free to experiment with different settings, but this should give you the basics.

  • Problematic InDesign CS5 Animation and exporting, any help?

    Hi there,
I am an experienced InDesign user, and have recently started using CS5.
I am using it to create a very simple flash website however I am encountering 2 problems.
    1. WHENEVER I have consecutive animations, such as a) Object 1, Fly in from top, followed by b) Object 2, fly in from bottom, object 2 appears momentarily in its final  location before doing its expected entry - right after object 1 has done its thing. Does that make sense?
    2. When exporting as a swf, then viewing in a browser, the page may come out correctly (with the exception of problem 1), except the space around the page is grey. I would love to make this white, anyone know how?
This would be super easy if I could attach a swf but i cant for flips sake.
Really hope to get this sorted, such annoying problems. Thanks muchly
    Adam

Thanks for the suggestion Peter.  Unfortunately I was on Windows so couldn't do any time travelling.  Fortunately I'd saved out a few JPEGs for approval yesterday, so managed to recreate the work using them as reference.
For anyone else reading - don't make my mistake!  Remember that the Document Recovery feature is only for emergencies, and SAVE SAVE SAVE SAVE SAVE.

  • CS5 - Animation

I am trying to make a cinemagraph using stills.  I have a picture of the Statue of Liberty and would like to get the clouds in the background to move.  I have created a mask and have fiver or six different movements of the sky.
My question is:  how do I get the different sky movements into layers and how to I get them into the animation palette.  I can not find any tutorials that are clear enough.

Yes I have consulted HELP. I have found the fly-out menu previous to this post, but can't seem to put it all together.
I have five photos - each with a different postion of the sky.  They are all open in CS5.  I can get the first photo in the animation palette.  When I attempt to get the second picture in the palette that is where I get confused.

  • Limitations of CS5 animation

Am I right in thinking the following task can not be carried out in Indesign CS5, but requires exporting to Flash:
I have a two page spread that I want to show either product 1 or product 2.
I have two thumbnail buttons for each product. On page load I want to see product 1, and then by pressing product 2's thumbnail, product 1 disappears and product 2 is displayed and then vice versa.
I can get the page to load with product 1. I can then animate the thumbnail of product 2 to bring in product 2, but I can't clear product 1 fromunder it or get back to product one, because I can't seperate it from the actions from the page load. It seems you can't animate something twice. Is that correct?
What I need is to be able to set up animations for a single item for each button and page load, but CS5 only seems to allow an object to be animated from one button and/or page load with onetype of animation.
Surely it would have been easy to implement mapping different buttons for different animations for a single object, or would this be treading too far on to Flash's toes?

You can use buttons with animations play/reverse features. In InDesign you can add more than one action to one button, so put to product 1 button actions
    product 1 > play
    product 2 > reverse
And same thing but vice versa to product 2 button.... and make your product 1 animation also go on while page is loading...
    I made a small sample:

    Same as indd:

  • How do I apply the same effect to all frames in CS5 animation?

I need to add lens flare to all frames at once - but it needs to be applied to the flattened image.  I don't want to have to flatten, click lens flare for each of the 70 frames seperately.
Here is the gif and photos illustrating what happens if I select frame one - unflattened and flattened.  The spinning globe of course is the animation that is inserted into the surrounding jpeg: http://bobwoolcock.com/images/300_Jiminy-Glick.gif

Could this filter not be applied to a separate black Layer, that sez to Blend Mode Screen and extended in the Animation Panel in Timeline Animation instead of Frame Animation?

  • Photoshop CS5 Animation Help

I'm currently working on a banner design in which certain animation components need only to loop one time while other components need to loop forever. Is there a way that I can choose specific layers to loop once and choose others to loop forever within the same animation scheme?

Of course GIF can save animations with multiple Frames which are represented by multiple layers in the document.  I don't think PNG can do animation at all, however.
Have you tried altering the amount of RAM you have allocated to Photoshop in the Edit - Preferences - Performance menu?

  • CS5 Animation: is fly-out text window possible?

I work with aerials for a commercial real estate company, and I've received a request to provide an animated file with overlays and such, which I have no problem doing. However, I was also asked to include an action of, upon building roll-over or button, etc., the name of the building will pop up, and I'm not seeing any way to accomplish this in InDesign. Is this possible and how?
This will become a .swf upon completion, and distributed via Outlook e-mail.

    Yes it can be done.
You need a button on the page, that when you roll over it triggers the action of something else.
Firstly make the animation for the sign to fly in.
Then put a hotspot on the building (which is a shape converted to a button) and then on the RollOver State - use the + icon to select Animation - then select the animation you created.
Now when you roll over that hotspot it triggers the Animation
And it's not a good idea to put SWFs in email - many spam filters autmatically remove this filetype, and a lot of firewalls do not allow this file type in email - and SWFs can be quite large so perhaps not everyone would be able to receive a file size that large.
