PSE 9 - Error msge on opening .gif image.

When I open a .gif animated image, I get an error message that says:
"This is an animated GIF. You can only view one frame. Saving over this file will result in a loss of information."
I've never had this problem with previous Photoshop Elements as any .gif file always opened up with its individual frames.
Any suggestions/ help please?

Yes, for some reason in pse9 (windows) adobe decided not to allow the opening
of layered gifs, which all previous versions of elements on windows had done.
The best advice is to keep an older version of elements for opening those gifs and
also if you create layered gifs (animated gifs) in pse9, save a layered copy as a psd file
before creating the animated gif.

Ok, not trying to hi-jack. If I use paint shop pro or the windows 7 RC paint program to open a image then close it, then I open bridge and double click a image, Paint shop Pro or wndows 7 paint will open with the image showing. I have to close the program, open bridge, right click on the image and select CS4 to open the file. After that Bridge will have CS4 open files. So the random opening might be related? Who knows!

In adobe pse and nikon nx2, I open 2 images, select in 1 a head, copy, open image 2 and paste, than only the outlines of the selection apears but no head. who knows this problem?

I am sorry to have to point out to you that you have changed SpryMenuBasicSkin.css so much that it is impossible to render any assistance.

Error in downloading .gif image

I am writing an application which downloads the image from server
for .jpeg, .jpg, .png its working fine but for .gif images it gives me the error: ArrayIndexOutOfBoundException
Code for downloading Image is:

the problem is not in displaying image
and by the way i am testing this on N70
problem is in downloading
i.e. image length is zero as well asif I dont consider image length the downloaded bytes are zero

Hi,
No errors was found in the installation log. I'm looking in the WWDOC_DOCUMENT$ table and found records that make references to my previous tries to upload the logo image. In order to make others tries, how can I delete this information? Are references to this files in any other table?.
I'm looking over the solution provide by Laurent Baresse, refering to the NLS_LANGUAJE problem ... (Thanks Laurent).

If I try and follow a link from another website to open another I get awclick.php (GIF Image 1x1) pixels in a new tab instead of the web page I want.

I was trying to open a website as a link from another website and I get a new tab that says

I can open the website without clicking on a link to it by just typing in the address but as this is a cash back site I am linking from it doesn't help!

Error message when opening image or Preferences

I use an HP computer with 2 MB RAM and XP SP 3.
I have downloaded the trial version of CS4 twice, but in both cases I get an error message and the programme shuts down when I open an image (any type) or Preferences. My graphics card is Nvidea GeForce FX5700.
Any suggestions?

Ok, I have trying with the drivers.
First i have uninstalled all the drivers and sofware of ATI. Without anything installed, photoshop works without problems with OpenGL power OF, and if you go to the performance preferences the application have to be close.
After installing Driver 8.11, photoshop works perfecly with OpenGL power ON.
After installing Catalyst Control Center 8.11 works with OpenGL power ON.
After rebooting the system works good but with the openGL power OF and if you go to performance preferences you have to close the application (the same message "the application doesn´t work, you have to close it...").
After installing driver and Catalyst Control Center 8.12 the same, works without OpenGL.
If I install ATI T200 Unified AVStream Driver photoshop doesn´t work good.
At the moment I have the program working properly but with OpenGL power OF. And i would like to activate it because i think my graphics card is very good and i would like the photoshop use it.
I hope my experience will help someone.

Opening an image with PSE 11

When i try to open an image in PSE 11 from Windows explorer by choosing "right click" - "open with Pse 11" the editor starts but does not open any file. This was not the case in previous versions of Photshop Elements. Any idea why this behaviour?

Solved.
After PSE11 installation the image files would open automatically with "Adobe Photoshop Elements 11.exe" and not
"PhotoshopElementsEdtor.exe" I changed file association to the correct program and it works fine.
I have been running PSE sins since version 06 but first time i can reon. having to do this change.
(Raw files however open correctly even pointing to the "Adobe Photoshop Elements 11.exe" no change necessary)

How JPG or GIF Image open in MIDP?

How my j2me application can support jpg or gif image format. I have tested png file in midp 1.0 and its not support other than png format( im not sure about midp 2.0 does it support or not). I have seen lot of mobiles those support gif and jpg file formats. Does j2me applications on those mobile can support other image formats?
Plus it is possible that i can develop my own decoder for jpg or gif format. I know it possible, but im talking related to its processing power consumption. Or is there any third party api exist to support jpg or gif file format on midp. Please r

why do I keep getting an error "insufficient data for an image" when opening a document in Adobe Reader XI 11.0.06

I am also having this problem, especially with scanned documents. Since I need to download scanned documents in my work this is a big problem!Sometimes I can read but not save the document, sometimes one or two of the pages will be blank from the start. I have the latest version of Adobe Reader XI (11.0.10). I tried reducing the page zoom, a suggested workaround on this page: Acrobat: “Insufficient data for an image” error after updating to 10.1.4 or 9.5.2, but that did not help at all. FWIW I use a Windows 8.1 PC with 4 GB RAM. I usually download PDFs from the internet using Firefox.
