PSE 9 hangs when trying to open preferences from organiser ? and PSE 10

Moved from PSE 4 through every version til 9
Windows 7 (64bit) 8gb ram
Now find that PSE 9 hangs with the banner "loading" when trying to access prefernces from organiser.
I have already:
Reinstalled elements
Reapired catalogue
Removed and recreated preferences file
Removed catalogue
Created new catalogue
Removed PSE 9 removed all traces of adobe from pc
Reinstalled PSE 9
All to no avail..........
Adobe wont help as not "current" product yet i have had it less than a year ? is it my fault they have changed it again ?
Some say upgrade but what if thats the same ? Why upgrade when current software seems faulty ?
has anyone had this problem and managed to fix it ?
Just downloaded trial version of PSE 10 and its exactly the same !!

I can access via edit page but the source files, colour setiings, etc can only be amended from organiser ?
Are there any known issues or compatibility issues ?

Nokia 5800 XM - Gallery hangs when trying to open ...

Hello All,
I searched all over the internet to see if any other 5800 owner has similar issue but i guess not. When I try to open any image (which is on phone memory) with memory card inserted the gallery hangs, Even trying to open an image or movie clip stored in memory card behaves same. I can open the same files using file manager under application.
I noticed this issue the next day after i purchased my handset and went to nokia customer care and they replaced the MM card( well it took almost month for them) now this is the replaced card. It worked for some hours i was able to view images using gallery and now all of a sudden it has stopped responding. Has this got to do with any application which is installed on memory card?
I am going to try to format my MM card and try putting single pic on phone and then on memory card and try. Any one please has any other suggestion?
I have many song videos on my MMC. i have uninstalled all the applications whihc were there on my memory card like marle maze and some others which i had installed.
Once i connect to OVI PC Suite i am unable to select remove storage device as it always shows in use so i always used to switch mode to mass storage from PC suite and then remove storage device and disconnect it. Is this correct method?

well, i got the solution.
1). remove the memory card from ur cell.
2). On the cell without memory card.(you will see no trouble wid Gallery now.)
3). Now OFF ur cell and put the memory card in the cell.
4). Now Format the memory card by phone memory card menu.
5). Restart your Cell, copy the contents to memory card, whatever the size of contents are.....
6). And finally, go to Gallery and enjoy the features of Boombastic 5800..

Oracle Planning gives error when trying to open application from Workspace.

We have version 11.2.2.0.0 of Planning installed. After the install of Essbase Studio Server we have hit some issues where Planning does not seem to be available. Despite re-deploying several times and other things, we cannot connect to the Planning server.
Planning does seem to be listening

Getting error code 109 when trying to open pdf from an email i received

Hi , Im getting error cod 109 when I try to open a pdf from a contact. all other pdf open fine

I receive an error code = 0x40010015 when trying to open a PDF in Photoshop CS3 for windows.
I do not have Illustrator to open and re-save as the forum discussion indicated.
Is there another way to open a PDF with this error code? I work with Quark, Photoshop and Publisher

Firefox 36.0.1 on Mac running Yosemite 10.10.2 hangs when trying to open Add-ons Manager

I am running Firefox 36.0.1 on an iMac with Yosemite 10.10.2. Firefox is working fine except that it hangs and forces me to Force Quit the application every time I try to choose Add-ons from the Tools menu. I have never had this problem before. This problem has happened for three straight days with my iMac being restarted several times. The same problem happens when trying to access Add-ons from the Open menu icon. Does anyone have a solution? Thanks!

does this also happen? If not, add the icon back and remove it to reset it.

Word Crashes when trying to open file from network

I can however copy any file from the network to the local machine and it opens fine. I have tried (With no change in symptoms):
Safe mode (word), remove & recreate normal templates, repair office, uninstall-reinstall office, updated all updates, disabled offline files, removed protected view settings, trusted network documents, disabled auto-save, virus scans (SEP, Malwarebytes,
TDSSKiller), system restore to 2 weeks ago- prior to when user said issued started, reinstalled & updated again after restore, and many other things I can't think of right now.
I have tried to run procmon.exe from sysinternals but get a message saying that "c:\windows\system32\fltlib.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again......"
I tried the instruction on the linked topic above to create a dump file, but no file was created.
This is only happening on one workstation on the network. Win7Pro, x64, Office 2010 Standard.
I am at my wits end, and need some help!

I have replaced the fltlib.dll file and am now able to run procmon, I also have run sfc /scannow which says it found corrupt files but was not able to repair them. When trying to view the files that need to be fixed it says that sfcdetails.txt cannot be
opened. If I run the same command with out the destination of desktop/sfcdetails.txt, then it displays the files in the cmd window, but there are what to appear to be hunderds of files.
I have both logs (procmon & sfc) but they only make partial sense to me. And I still cannot open office files from a network location.

Workspace hangs when trying to open HFM applicaiton?

hello,
2 weeks ago on multiple occasions users were unable to connect to our HFM application through Smartview. In all cases restarting all services corrected the issue.
I didn't have a lot of time to trouble shoot prior to restarting to allow users to connect again, but i have following info.
I could login to Workspace but when I tried to open the HFM application it went to the back and forth starting app window forever.
Shared service would come up and allow me to enter my userid and password but hen it would hang.
I thought earlier that we were have problems with our connectivity to the ldap server, but since I can log in to workspace that can't be the case.
Any ideas as to where I should look next?

Howz the security is being setup in Shared Services ..Is it Native groups and then LDAP Users are provison to the Native Groups ..Or is there is any LDAP Groups

Adobe Pro X crashes when trying to open Preferences

I am running version 10.1.8
My initial problem was that I could not open another PDF when I had one already open. So I came on here to figure out what was wrong. Most suggestions mentioned going to preferences and changing something, but when I select preferences Adobe freezes and I have to close it.
Any ideas?

Browser hangs when trying to open large Flash file created in Captivate 5

Hi all,
I've created a large demo in Captivate 5 (about 200 slides) and published it for output to Flash Version 10 for distribution to my project team (sent out in a zip file). Some members of the team can open and play the demo with no problem, but a few others are telling me that IE hangs when they try to open the file. The progress bar at the bottom of the page just freezes.
Has anyone come across this problem?

If you sent the published output files to people inside a zip archive make sure you tell everyone to unzip the contents to a folder on their hard drive before trying to launch the HTM file and play. I find a lot of people just double-click the zip file, which opens up the archive to browsing, and then just double-click the HTM file. Unfortunately, because the objects inside a zip archive don't always retain relationships, things don't necessarily work this way. So the only sure fire way for all the files to find each other properly is to unzip completely and then try to play them.
The other thing to check is which version of Flash Player your team members are on. If you published for Flash 10, are some of them still on Flash 9?

Error message when trying to open PDF from Sharepoint

I get an error message they says "There was an error opening this document. The filename, directory name or volume label syntax is incorrect." I am running IE9 and Adobe Reader 11, this also happens with IE10. I have made sure that everything is running correctly, but it isn't opening the document within IE like it is supposed too. Any ideas?

Is this happening with all the PDF' you are trying to open from Sharepoint or some specific one'?

Viewer hangs when trying to open reports with drilling

We are currently using Discoverer version 9.04.
The version of Viewer is 9.04.45.02
Often when requesting a report that has drilling in it the process hangs when viewer is building the report. The only way out is to kill this process on the server.
The reports work just fine using desktop.
We are running against an oracle db 9i and OAS 9i.
Anyone have any knowledge on this? This is only a problem with reports that have drilling in it.

As I found out today, there is a bug in the 10.1.2 Viewer code that causes drills or crosstabs to take a really long time when compared to Desktop. As this poor performance was also there in 9.0.4 I can only assume that Oracle copied the offending code from one to the other.
Oracle tell me that they have identified the issue with 10.1.2 and are in the process of getting a patch together. They also tell me that the patch will be released in a couple of months so I guess they still have some issues to resolve.
I have no idea at this stage whether a similar patch will be released for 9.0.4. I cannot imagine that they will not do so.

Mail hangs when trying to open excel file

Hi there,
I've installed goodreader, Docs to Go and numbers on my ipad. Unfortunately, mail hangs when i try to open a spreadsheet. The option to use either one of the apps pops up, however, i'm not able to select either numbers or Docs to Go to open the file.
I've restarted the ipad to no avail. Does anyone have any ideas about this?

Hello, can you please provide the link of the offending page which is working fine on Internet Explorer, but showing an 'Application Error' so that we can take a look. Typically this happens if the website owner has some code specific to IE that is not cross-platform.
