PSE 9 - Is it possible to delete pages in a Photo book?

I'm just starting to learn PSE 9 and i'm working on a photo book, but i don't want it to be the standard 20 pages long.
Is it possible to delete the pages i don't need?

An alternative is to separate the quiz pages to a separate document and include it in the main PDF as a file attachment. You can create links in the main document to the attachment so that it opens in a new window. When this quiz document is closed, the main document will be open.

I haven't found out how to move pages from one photo book into another. Surely this is possible?
Also on the subject of photo books: it seems that it is not possible to enlarge the size of a text box. Or has anyone found a way to accomodate more than 1 line of text on a photo book page?

You can look through some of the different Layouts available.
Select your page.
Click the "Layout" icon on the lower right hand of the application window.
Above it will appear a "BACKGROUND" section and a "LAYOUT" section.
Immediately below the "LAYOUT" is a drop down menu which will show you all the different options.

With CreatePDF you would not be able to delete pages. CreatePDF is only a convertion application which is use to convert different formats to PDF and vice versa.
You have to purchase the complete PDF solution(Adobe Acrobat) to achieve this task. Please visit the below mentioned link for more information:

Can I delete unneeded pages in a photo book template?

I finished my first book in IPhoto and found that I do not need all 20 pages for the softcover book that I want. Does the print job by Apple only alow 20 pages? Can I delete the blank, empty pages? Or, do I have to spread out the photos and text over all 20 pages?

Have 2 books in a single Aperture project.
Need to copy one page content from book 1 to an empty page of book 2.
Tried all my best, but couldn't manage.
Anybody please advice.

At the time the "copy content" only works between pages in the same book. Even if you drag the involved images to the new book, copying content between the two books don't work. This I believe could be a bug and do hope it is corrected soon.

I started with 100 pages in my photo book. Then reduced the number to 75 for finished project. When i click on "buy" it says I have some frames with no photos. But I've checked entire book

Look for pages that use photos for the background, even if you have other photos on the page. It'll look something like this in the layout pane:

If you have a 1 photo per page, full page, you could have that option selected and not know it unless you looked at the layout pane like this example:

Is it REALLY not possible to add captions to a Photo Book?!

Hi. I have spent the last several days compiling a book of my travels, and overall I'm happy with it except that I CANNOT figure out how to add captions to any of the photos if I haven't selected the ONE format (w/ "postcards", etc) that already leaves space for them. This is really frustrating, since I don't want every single page of my photo album to have the exact same "cutesy" setup, but as it is a gift for my parents I really would like to at least be able to add a few simple captions noting where the photos are from! Is this possible? If I'm gonna drop $40 on a photo book I want it to be the way I want it!!! Please answer whether it's what I want to hear or not! Thank you in advance!
p.s. I don't think it's possible to change the format out of Travel for only selected pages...is it???

Uploading custom pages to iPhoto photo books

I am trying to upload a custom page with photos and text to my iPhoto photo book. I am a digital scrapbooker. But I need to know the exact size with bleed to make sure that the text and photos appear the way I have designed. Is it possible to find out the size of the photo books with bleeds?
I am using version 9.5.1 of iPhoto.

I've not seen that in iPhoto '08 - iPhoto '09 does have a thumbnail bug like that that has not been fixed yet
Try clicking on the blank thumbnail and seeing what it shows in the main window
And remember the sure way to know what is going to print is to preview it according to this article - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1040 - and save the resulting PDF for reference

How do I add pages to a photo book with the same number of photos per page.

I want to add a photo book, select all the pages and tell the book to be 4 photos per page. And when I add new pages, I want those to have 4 photos.
When ever I add, it just selects a random page and then I have to manually change that page to have 4 photos. Is there an easier way to do this?

the added pages are what they are and you have to change them if hey are not what you want

TS3750 100 page limit on photo books

How do we plead and beg Apple to get with the times and be more competitive with other photo book companies. The 100 page (50 sheet) limit is so 5 years ago!!! For those of us who create large albums like an annual family yearbook, this is not enough! Many other companies allow you to create photo books now up to 1,000 pages! The templates in iPhoto have not been updated since I can remember and are simply not keeping up with the digital creativity other companies. This is frustrating. I hope they listen to our cries for help. Most of us buy and commit to being an Apple user because we love the convenience of keeping everything in one place on our Apple/Mac devises. Having to use other photo book companies defeats this purpose and is a heartbreaking disappointment. Apple please listen!

How do I undo clear placed photos - I have 'lost' 40 pages of my photo book

I used the clear placed photo icon and lost 40 pages of work ..

You need to restore the iPhoto library from your backup. By default yoour iPhoto Library will be in your "Pictures" folder and called "iPhoto Library.photolibrary" (in iPhoto '11). what is your iPhoto version and your MacOS X version?
What kind of backup do you have?
If it is a Time Machine backup, connect your TimeMachine drive and quit iPhoto.
Select your "Pictures" folder in the Finder, and with this folder the currently open Finder window enter Time Machine.
Then dive into the Time Tunnel and go back in time to the most recent date, when your Photo Book was still complete.
Select the iPhoto Library and press "Restore".
When you open iPhoto again, it should now show again all pages of your book.

Split document or delete pages

Hello!
I would like to split some (thousend) pdfs at page 5. Finally I would like to have 2 pdf-documents:
1) page 1-4 and
2) page 5- last page (variable).
If its not possible with a function like "splitting".. maybe it is possible to delete pages 5 - last page - because its variable?!

I have tried it with an action.. here I can delete pages.. to delete the pages 1-4 is easy.. but when I would like to delete all pages after page 5 it comes an error.. because I dont know which the last page is.. it's variable. I also tried to tell the action "delete from page 5 till 2000" because I know that no document has so much pages.. but it didnt worked.
I dont know the stuff with java..
(Sorry.. I have the Creative Suite Standard CS 5.5)

Can't delete pages in a book

I can add pages---but the minus sign is greyed out; and hitting "delete" does not work either. I'm mystified (and irritated, I'm just have a couple of pages to delete to complete the project).

Not sure if you found this in iPhoto Help yet, but it says (red highlights mine):
To delete a page from a photo book:
Books require an even number of pages. If deleting a page creates an odd number of pages, iPhoto automatically adds a blank page to or deletes a blank page from your book to keep the page count at an even number.
Open the book project.
The book pages appear in All Pages view.
Press the Control key while you click the page that you want to delete, and then choose Remove Page from the shortcut menu.
Note: You can also delete a page while viewing a page spread.
A message appears asking if you want to delete the page.
Click Yes.
The Note about deleting a page means pressing the Delete key on the keyboard.
Note there is a 20 Page minimum to the Books so if you have less than that, it won't let you delete pages, the Remove Page option will be dimmed. You need to change them to something else instead.
