PSE 9 still crashing when saving after removing preferences

When I try to save my work in PSE 9 it crashes every time. I've removed preferences by pressing shift, control, option after launching the program. The window came up if I wanted to remove preference I clicked yes. Restarted my computer and relaunched PSE9 still crashes.
I've also removed the twain plug in this way:
Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 9\Locales\<locale>\Plug-Ins\Import-Exportand you will find twain plug-in. Remove that plug-in from that location and copy it somewhere else.
I dragged it twice to my desktop but the file still seemed to remain in place (even though I had 2 new copies on my desk top), so the third time I did it, I clicked it and moved it to trash. Again, I restarted my computer and relaunched PSE9 and it still crashes when trying to save.
Please help, I'm in the middle of a project that I need to finish and I can't do anything til I get this sorted out.

Need some additional help. I installed the prokit framework 7.0 deleted the old and relaunched logic pro 9...and it still crashes when I try to save. I upgraded to OS 10.6.8....so now what do I do?

And if it's written at the internet, it must be good and true . Well, the fix is tricky, many people did had to re-install their system to get out of this mess. You can try to move ProKit from another 10.6.8 system (backup?), which still is not 100% clean but at least might get you back up and running.

PSE 9 crashing when saving

I've deleted the preferences, restarted my computer and it still crashes everytime I try to save anything. I have a printer/scanner hooked up do I need to do something to that to make it work again?

Can you please try the following-
On the drive on which you have installed PSE,on my machine it is on C:
Go to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 9\Locales\<locale>\Plug-Ins\Import-Exportand you will find twain plug-in. Remove that plug-in from that location and copy it somewhere else.
Now launch PSE and check if it works.

Crashes when saving after I add audio to slides

Hi everyone,
I recently started using Captivate and like a lot of the
functionality...autorecord, etc. I am having a problem though. I
have a slide presentation that is about 11 slides long. I used auto
record to capture the slides and then went in and cleaned up the
slides. Everything worked great and I was able to save with no
problems. However, last night I recorded short audio bits for 9 of
the 11 slides and when I tried to save my computer hung-up and
required a hard-reboot. I then tried to save after each audio bit I
recorded, but I didn't get far the app crashed as soon as I tried
to save after the first audio recording. I am using this locally on
my PC/Windows XP box. I have a Pentium 4-3.4 GHz processor and 1
gig of ram. Anyone have any ideas about why this might be happening
or how to get this working?
Any feedback would be appreciated.

CS 5 AI 15.2 crashes when saving

Running Win7 on Alienware with 10GM of memory and i8 intel processor CS5 AI 15.2.
AI continually crashes when I try to save any open project. I have enven created a new project and still crashes when saving...
Anyone have any ideas?

Thank You! It was the HP printer causing the problem, killed it and re-installed printer all works properly.

I'm using CS5 Indesign Mac it keeps crashing when Saving or Saving As. Uninstalled and the Reinstalled program and it still crashes. Takes over 60 seconds to unfreeze. I'm using Lion 10.7.5. Any ideas?

Adobe bridge crashes when saving illustrator files

Hi there,
We are developing custom connector using Adobe Drive SDK for our DAM system, the integration with CS was working fine, we recently updated Adobe Drive to 4.2, and we are encountering bridge crashes when saving illustrator file. It didn't happen with older version(4.0.2) of Adobe Drive, not sure why. I pin point the part that causing the issue: in our custom connector, we have READ_XMP_METADATA capability which we need to display the thumbnails and previews, and in the ftp sample connector, this capablity is not included originally, so the issue does not happen, but if I add this capabilty, the crash issue happens as well. If we exclude this capablity from our connector, this crash issue doesn't happen.
We noticed this only happens when saving illustrator file, not photoshop or indesign, and it seems that only in illustrator, when save, and the bridge has the current file folder showing, we are seeing there are twice folder refreshes, and usually it will crash after the second time. In photoshop and indesign, we don't see folder refreshes. If switch to other folder, the crash won't happen. We tested on both windows and Mac, on Mac, this seems happen less often. Another thing we noticed is in debug mode, or we have many debug logging turned on, the crash happens less often, if it is deployed with no debug logging, the crash happens almost everytime. So we are guessing it might be some synchronization problem.
Could you please advice what's the cause of this issue?

Has it ever worked?
What kind of files are they and where do you save them?
Is a printer connected, set up and turned ON?
Have you already tried resetting the preferences?
Generally it's not a good idea to just save old files, because then some artwork may be automatically flattened. Illustrator will save the file to the old version file-format and if you used new features in-between, those cannot stay live in the old version file format.

Photoshop Elements 8 crashes when saving/opening file

Hello,
Since a day or two my PSE 8 crashes when i want to save or open a file.
It just closes without a crash reporter.
Is there anyone who can help me with this?

I am using a macbook pro running OS version 10.9. My version of Adobe Elements 8 came free with my purchase of a Wacom Bamboo drawing tablet.
I have the exact same problem.
- Creating a new blank image and saving it causes a crash. However, saving an existing image does not.
- Using the (File > Open), (File > Save) and (File > Save as) menu options causes a crash.
- Using the File > Save for web causes a crash as soon as I confirm.
So, I create a new blank image in Gimp with the dimensions that I want, export it as a .psd file, and open it by right clicking the blank .psd and selecting (Open with: Adobe Photoshop Elements 8). At this point, (File > Save) and (Command-S) save the image without causing crashes.
However, it's anoying that I have to use two programs to make one image. PSE 8 synergises well with my drawing tablet, but Gimp can create new images. It's really frustrating.
I think I reset my PSE preferences properly, but I'm not sure. Is there supposed to be a dialogue box confirming that my preferences have been reset? I'm not seeing one.
I'd really appreciate some help regarding this issue. Perhaps I should submit a ticket to Adobe support. Can I do that? I'm new here.

Logic crashing when saving buffer size change?

Logic is crashing when saving buffer size change. Is it that my Autotune Evo plug-in window is open? I've noticed some correlation but it could have nothing to do with it.

One of the things I previously tried was to re-install logic 9 again but strangely after I trashed it and emptied it was still present in Apps. How come this was the case... just curious??

Illustrator CS6 crashes when saving or printing

A couple weeks ago, my AI CS6 started crashing when saving complex line work (Rhino Make2D exports) or when I tried to check the printer setting. I've reinstalled AI and installed the latest updates. For a few days, the saving problem went away but it has returned today. I have cleared the preferences folder.
I am running Windows 7.
Is this a Rhino/AutoCAD export issue? The saving problem persists even when I copied a small section of the linework to a fresh AI document. Simple vectors don't lead to saving problems. Thanks!

You need to provide system information or else this is no use to anyone...

Illustrator CC crashes when saving to network drive

Hi all,
We have 3 Macs all running 10.10 or 10.9 which crash when saving eps file types (PDF saves fine) to a NetApp network drive using Illustrator CC 2014.1.0 release.
Users can save files locally and then copy the files to the network drive with no problems.
Anyone else having this issue?

Colin,
It is always recommended here to open/save from/to own hard disk, and to copy from/to networks and removable media. You may be lucky, at least for a while, but it is better to be safe than sorry.

InDesign CC crashes when saving as .idml

InDesign CC 9.2 x64 crashes when saving as .idml. I have triied reinstalling but the problem persists.

Adobe tech support "uncorrupted" the indd file I sent them (a file from
Adobe's Classroom in a Book series) then they saved it as an idml file.
Problem solved -- at least for that file. Thank you. It's still not clear
to me, however, whether this was an isolated incident or something more
systemic. I guess I'll find out the next time I try to save an indd file in
the idml format.

Flash Professional CC crashes when saving, corrupting files

My company upgraded from flash CS5 to Flash Professional CC just recently, and i was hoping for a more stable experience, as Crashes when saving from Flash CS5 happened allmost daily. Seem i was wrong, occasionally when saving Flash CC crashes, and ends up breaking my work files... I ususally manage hundreds of files during a week, so having a stable enviroment is quite important for me. Any suggestions? Other than getting rid of Flash, though this is fast moving up the list...

Yes, I allways have the most recent version.
Guess i just have to work locally again, as i was forced to when using Flash CS5. Its frustrating, as some of the files (non-flash) i produce is edited by other colleagues on the server. And i need to sync those files back to my computer, to keep everything up to date... Not to mention i have to sync the files i produce to two different servers. A project consist of at least 40-80 flash files and each of them accompanied by several files... xml, images, sound, and so on...

No programs are running that might conflict with Organizer, and I can run other functions such as downloading photos from my camera. As soon as I attempt to add a new sub-catalog to an existing major catalog, the program crashes. I'm using Windows 7, and have tried various compatibilities, but none solves the problem. Any ideas?

How do you attempt to 'add a new catalog' or a new 'sub-catalog' ?
There are no such things as 'sub-catalogs' or catalogs included in catalog.
Catalogs are totally independent storing systems, they ignore what is managed in other catalogs.That's why it is recommended to have only one catalog, unless you have a good reason to create several ones because they are totally independent by nature (home vs professional for instance).
You can create several levels of albums, of tags categories, but not with catalogs.
