PSE Albums on I Mac

I have recently changed from windows to I Mac. I cannot view my photos in album form because the file - PSE Organiser is in grey and will not highlight. Any answers will be appreciated.

Thanks Andaleeb. As you can see under Adobe the Organiser is in grey. I believe that when i can put this into the Synch box it should list underneath all of my albums. Strangely this is not a problem that I have had when running Windows only I Mac. Thank You.

PSE 10 Organizer for Mac - Partially correct Album search results

When clicking on an album, I get a huge amount of results but only 13, for example, should be in the album. Why does PSE 10 for the Mac give that kind of search response. How can I fix it?
To clarify....clicking on an album marked Flowers gives me the 13 flower images but also some 987 others, each of which is marked with a circle with a line through it, indicating that the program knows they should not be in the flower album but shows them anyway.

IPod Touch 2G No Longer Sees Photoshop Elements (PSE) Album Photos

Hello Forum,
All was working fine. I would create an album in PSE 7 on Win XP, my iPod Touch would see the album and all the photos in that album, successful sync, and copies of the photos would be stored on my iPod Touch.
Then for data security and redundancy, I relocated my My Documents folder to a network RAID disk array. My Music and My Photos folders therefore also got relocated. After fixing some paths iTunes works fine, and PSE 7 also works fine. PSE 7 albums are completely intact and accessible from the network share.
BUT, when I go to sync my iPod Touch with PSE7, the iPod sees all the PSE album names in iTunes, but says that each album has exactly 0 photos. So now my iPod has no photos. Please help me fix this problem.
One other thing, if I point my iPod at a specific photo folder on the network share, and tell it to sync to this folder, the photos in the folder move to the iPod with no problems. But I don't want to have to create photo copies in new folders just to sync with the iPod; the PSE Album concept is perfect, if it would only work now!

I've had exactly the same issue with my iPhone 3GS and iTunes 10.4. I reported it to Apple and was told it was likely an error that crept into 10.4 and to expect a fix in an upcoming release of iTunes. I'm waiting for that to happen still...

Where to copy a paper profile created with Colormunki in PSE 8 on a Mac

Hello - I am using PSE 8 on a Mac running Snow leopard, version 10.6.2 with the latest updates. I have calibrated my monitor using Colormunki and profiled the Canon Photo Paper Plus for use on my Canon ip5300 printer. So far, so good. However, when I use the print dialogue menu, I do not find the ICC profile that I created for that paper in the drop down menu. Another forum question related to this suggested that one had to copy the profile to Library/Application Support/Adobe/Color/Profiles. However, I do not SEE a profiles folder in the Color folder, just folders called Proofing and Settings, neither of which have any content. Is it possible that this folder resides elsewhere (I have spent quite a bit of time poking about trying to find such a folder).
I have managed to get a quite good print using the following settingsm(in the Photoshop dialogue box):
- Color handling: Photoshop manages color
- Printer Profile: Working RGB - iMac D65.icc (this is the monitor profile created by Colormunki.
and in the Printer dialogue box:
- Color matching: Colorsync
- Quality and Media: Photo Paper Pro, High
However, having gone to the trouble to buy the Colormunki and profile the monitor and printer/paper, I would reallly like to be able to use the profiles!

I have, fortunately, managed to fix the problem on my own. As I mentioned previously, in another question, someone had suggested copying the Printer profile created using Colormunki to the Library/Application Support/Adobe/Color/Profiles folder from the Colorsync folder. When I went to do so, there WAS no Profiles folder! However, I checked my laptop and the folder WAS there, so I copied it to my iMac and then copied the desired printer profile to the now existing folder. Voila! I can now access my Colormunki profiles from PSE 8! Hope this is of help to others.

Albums created on mac not showing on iphone or ipad

I created an album on my mac photo app. How do I get this album to appear on my iphone and ipad? Upload to my photo stream and icloud photo library are active on all of my devices.

Currently both are active. I don't want to have all of my photos on the icloud. So should I only be using "icloud photo sharing"?
I created an album on my iphone and this album shows up on my ipad and macbook pro. However, I created another album on my macbook and this new album doesn't show up on either my iphone or ipad.
These albums are not shared albums...they are only albums for me. Isn't "icloud photo sharing" different from the albums I speaking about? My understandind is "icloud photo sharing" is for sharing my albums with friends and family.

PSE 10 Organizer on Mac shows wrong timestamps and changes timestamps

Just installed PSE 10 on my Mac (OSX 10.6.8) performed an update to the raw converter (though I am NOT using raw files)
All photos that I add to the catalog show a time stamp of 1hr before the photo was taken. If I check the actual metatdata it shows correct for most of the fields.
Exif data before adding to organizer: (using Exif Viewer 2.7.1)
Image Created:          2012:03:21 07:27:26
Image Generated:          2012:03:21 07:27:26
          Image Digitized:          2012:03:21 07:27:26
I drag it into Organizer and it shows as being 3/21/2012 6:27am
The exif data still shows properly in Exif Viewer.
Ok, I can deal with that, it is very odd, but since it isn't changing the exif data it is somewhat ok.
Until....
Now, I right click on the image and say open with Photoshop Elements Editor and immediately the time changes on the organizer screen to be one hour earlier from shown: 5:27am.
PSE Editor File info shows the Created and Modified times on the desciption tab as 7:27, but on the Camera Data tab shows 3/21/2012 – 6:27 AM (the time organizer showed before I said to open editor)
now Exif Viewer says:
Image Generated:          2012:03:21 06:27:26
          Image Digitized:          2012:03:21 07:27:26
close editor, and organizer is still saying the time is 5:27am
Close organizer, open again, still shows 5:27am, exif data still shows:
Image Generated:          2012:03:21 06:27:26
          Image Digitized:          2012:03:21 07:27:26
I can repeat the open in editor and it again subtracts an hour from the time shown, and from the Image Generated exif data field.
It appears that the organizer updates the timestamp when you say open in editor, and then sees that the timestamp changed and shows its 1hr subtracted time.
Definate bug! It happens with JPG files from 3 different cameras (2 canon, 1 nikon) does not appear to happen with MP4 files from Flip. but does happen with MOV files from at least 1 of the canon cameras.
Any ideas? I haven't found the place to report bugs for PSE10 yet.

I am having very slow operation in PSE 12 using a Mac. Upgraded From PSE 10 which operated fine. How do I speed up the organizer and editor?

Standard Picture Packages using PSE 10 with a Mac.

I am unable to print out a standard picture package using PSE 10 with a Mac. I like to print 3 4" X 6" Pic Package with different images. It is impossible. I had a PC and Elements 8 before with no problem. I followed all the help instructions to no avail. What can I do?

With Mac, I am unable to find a 3 4" X 6" (example) picture package in PSE 10 Edito
File>Picture Package>choose 8x10 for the working area and you should see:
Then go up to the top and choose an image. It will appear in all the zones. Just click a zone in the preview to change to another image. It's actually a more robust package than in organizer--you can save it as a file, for one thing, instead of having to recreate it each time. All printing in the mac version happens from editor, so that's where they put the picture package and contact sheet. You can also create and save custom layouts via the Edit Layout button. This is the same picture package and contact sheet that came for many years in PS, so if you look for PS tutorials (pre-CS6) you should be able to find very detailed instructions.

I purchased PSE 8 then upgraded to PSE 9 Windows. I now have a Mac computer. How do I get a copy of PSE 9 onto my mac and discontinue the one for Windows?

The D7100 requires at least ACR 7.4 which doesn't work with PSE 9. So you can upgrade to a later version of PSE, use the nikon software to convert your files and only use PSE for additional editing, or download the free adobe dng converter, which you can use to convert your NEFs to DNGs that your version of PSE can understand.

I was using version 6.0.6 of iPhoto.
My issue is that I already have sorted the photos into Albums - about 50 of them. And now on my new computer I can't see any of the albums I had sorted them into, and I don't want to have to recreate all those Albums! That was one of the primary reasons I stuck with Apple when I upgraded. Had I known it wouldn't bring the albums over, I probably wouldn't have bought another apple.

Have you used the built-in migration plug-in? I'm not sure how LR handles iPhoto albums or events. there have been several reports indicating varying levels of success or otherwise, with import.

PSE 6 hanging on Mac

I've been using PSE 6 on my Mac with no problems. Now it hangs every time I open a file. The editing window opens with the image, and then I get the Mac spinning wheel of death. The one possible change to my system is that I add system upgrades. I'm running OSX 10.5.8
Anyone else experiencing this?

I resolved the problem by trying what has been suggested for other PSE 6 problems on the Mac:
Quit PSE, then go to your username>library>preferences and delete:
com.adobe.Photoshop.Elements.plist
Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 paths
Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 settings
Opera preferences
