PSE editor pictures do not look like the origianls

The pictures on my PSE editor do not look like the orginals and most have a redish cast. I am having a hard time editing as I am not sure what the actual colors are that I am adjusting.
It is near imposible to work on people, i.e. complexion colors, etc.
Is there a setting I am missing in the basic editor?
Any help will be appreciated.

The red color cast you are seeing is created by your color management settings, as suggested by Bshowell. However, the settings in Photoshop Elements under Edit>Color Settings are only part of the story. There are also system level color management settings, the main one we would be concerned with would be the monitor profile. This profile is a description of the color output of your device and is used to compensate for a known difference between the input and the output. However, you are not seeing a similar red cast in other applications because they are not color managed (meaning, they ignore the color management settings of your system). Most likely the problem is you are using the incorrect color profile for your monitor and it is shifting your colors.
A monitor profile is not necessary unless you a very concerned with absolute accuracy in your prints because it is the only way you can ensure the colors on your screen are accurate. But that requires a hardware calibration device.
You should probably just change or remove your current monitor profile. How to do so depends on your OS:

The orange Firefox menu button is hidden by default on Windows XP. 
You see the orange (on Linux gray) Firefox button if the Menu Bar is hidden, so you need to hide the Menu bar to get the new appearance. 
If you need to access the hidden Menu bar then press F10 or hold down the Alt key to make the Menu Bar appear temporarily. 
You can place the Tab Bar on top.
* View > Toolbars : [ ] Menu Bar
* View > Toolbars : [X] Tabs on Top

That screen means it has gone into recovery mode. You need to connect to a computer running iTunes by following the instructions in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 for the procedure of recovery mode connection.

"Vaguely like" is the best we can hope for and a minor miracle in itself. PDF was never meant to be converted.

Thank you for your swift reply. I don't know that this has helped me, as I've reached my level of tolerance for fooling with this annoying little problem - for today anyway. It has been going on since I "up" graded to Firefox 4. My wife is running 3.6.x on her laptop with none of this foolishness. As BLASPHEMOUS as it may sound, I've gone back to IE for the time being even though I don't like it 1000th as much as I do Firefox.
Not just to rant here, I would say that I found a way to put some buttons on the right side of the toolbar that immediately gave me permission to "back, forward, and reload", but upon closing the browser and going out for dinner with the wife, I find on return that not only are those buttons NOT still on the toolbar, but I can't find them anymore. I think they were in "add-ons" found under I believe Add-On Manager.
I did also manage to achieve back/forward functionality running Firefox in SAFE mode, but this meant no No-Script, among other things, and I've grown too fond of that particular little script to give it up.
I've rebooted, restored, and reinstalled, can't get this formerly completely reliable program to work like it always has. Before looking around on here, I was beginning to think it was my PC.

I want to print an 8 x 10, but the photo does not look like the print preview - it truncates part of the picture

I am using an HP PSC 2355 printer - and have not had trouble printing before. The 8 x 10 photo does not print like the print preview does - everything elarges when the actual print completes, which truncates all details that need to be printed. Is ther a setting that I should be choosing?

There is no O or L in my Serial Number, and it starts with one single D, then a set of 3 numbers, 3 letters, 4 times, then 3 letters closing it down. When I check my Final Cut's serial number in the help section of the software, I get the same number. Yet, when I enter it in the site, it says, I have an invalid serial number. So I will call Apple Care. I hope I will be able to talk to a representative in an hour or so. It always takes so long that I grow beard while I wait.

My Firefox does not look like the Firefox shown in your tutorials

Going through the tutorials and help sections, the Firefox page shown does not match the one that I have. There is no Firefox button, the menu below the Mozilla logo is the "File Edit View...." menu. So the directions I am getting from the tutorials and Help sections can't be followed.
I just downloaded Firefox, installed it, and checked for updates, which Firefox found and installed. I am now at 19.0.2
I am running Windows 7 on a Lenovo Thinkpad. WIndows just updated.
Am I running the latest version of Firefox? Why doesn't my version look like the help pages?

Printed pictures do not look like screen

I am struggling getting printed pictures to look like the screen version. I have a Canon i960 attached to my computer. I have tried the different ColorSnyc profies, as well as "Printer" control.
I am wondering if I should try one of the other Aperture profiles - specifically a CMYK profile. And which one should I try?

If your Monitor is relatively accurate, make sure in Aperture the monitor is set correctly by selecting the correct printer profile from "view" "proofing profile". Foe example I have a canon IP5200 printer so I select IP5200/5200R PR3 from the proofing profile options. Then when you go to print make sure you have selected the correct print profile for your printer (found in "print image""color profile") . Again since I have the Canon printer I selected "Canon IP5200/5200R PR3". Each printer comes with their own set of print profiles.
PS PR3 is canons code for type of paper and quality of print.

The ipad 1 is not supported by apples latest software updates. The processor just cannot handle the newest ios. Im sure there are various third party apps in the app store to give you more of a look alike ios7 but the first generation ipad cannot be updated due to performance issues.

Photoshop Elements 13 tutorial does not look like the version I have. Help?

I recently got Photoshop Elements 13 because I believed it function somewhat like Photoshop, but cheaper. The moment I opened it, I noticed the interface was completely different. So, I clicked on the link for the beginners tutorial in eLive, which sent me to this link: Get Started with Photoshop Elements 13 - YouTube
However, the one in the video shown above looks slightly different from mine, making it difficult to follow along. On the top bar in the video, it goes from eLive>Media>People>Places>Events. The one I am using goes from eLive>Quick>Guided>Expert.
Could someone help me fix this so I could follow along the video instead of learning by myself?

Photoshop Elements comes in two main parts. You are looking at the Editor part, the video is showing the Organizer part.
Either select Organizer from the bottom toolbar of your screen or go to the Welcome screen and select Organizer.

JEditor pane does not look like the explorer.

I would like to display the following htmlc ode on JEditor pane.
I want to have two lists of assets and a title to each one.
the problem is that one of the titles (the second one) does not displayed in the same location as the first one (It displayes ans if it is part of the list)
I copies the code to a htm page and it looks fine on my explorer.
I will be happy if you will tell me what is wrong in the html code.

What ever gave you the idea that HTML display on JEditorPane would look exactly like in IE?
JEditorPane only supports HTML 3.2 (but no frames, I think), some CSS 1 and no Javascript. It's very far from being useful for displaying modern web pages.
