PSE Version 8. Error message 150:30

I have an iMac running OSx 10.9.3 and Photoshop Elements v8. However, when I attempted to open the program today I received a message saying the following: Licensing for this product has stopped working. This product has encountered a problem which requires that you restart your computer before it can abe launched. If you continue to see this message after restarting your computer, please contact either your IT administrator or Adobe technical support for help, and mention the error code shown at the bottom of this screen. Error: 150:30. Can anyone help?

You must have it--you can't run PSE without it. My guess is that you were looking in the wrong place. The library in question is not hidden, exactly, in 10.7 and 10.8, but it is very hard to find. You have three library folders: system>library, your username>library, and the one at the top level of your hard drive. You want the last one.
The easiest way to get to it is to go to the finder preferences>sidebar, and turn on Hard Disks under Devices:
Then when you open a new finder window, you can click the name of your hard drive in the list on the left side of the window and the right library will show up at the top level of the results on the right.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? Also how do I subscribe to Adobe's Premium Support? Every time I've tried (through contact support) I just get taken on an unending loop.

Exactly what does the message say?
Exactly what files are you trying to open?
Exactly how are you trying to open them (what menu command or button or mouse action or keyboard shortcut)?
And lastly, what version of Lightroom are you using?

You should be aware that the newest version, CC, is only available as a subscription.
CS6 can be purchased at Adobe, or second hand, see below.
Older versions such as CS5 can only be bought second hand, with a licence transfer through Adobe, requiring that the licence has not been used as a basis for an upgrade.

PS CS 4, error message 150:30 and Yosemite

Got a new mac laptop running Yosemite and my PS CS4 keeps giving me the error message 150:30. I have restarted, tried running the license tool, etc., etc....all suggestions from this forum but I continue to get the error message. I only have this version of PS running. Any help?

Sometimes an update will damage an install.
Uninstall (remove preferences) The Uninstaller is found in your Photoshop CS4 folder.

Reinstall from your discs or download an installer here: Download CS4 products Have your serial number ready.
Apply updates.

I have PSE 6 on my MacAir but have not used it for a while. Today I find it will not launch and, despite restarting, I keep getting Error message 150:30. How do I recover the situation please.

I had gotten a similar problem, except with "provider services", i believe, but i solved it by copying sqlite3.dll from E:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support to E:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support. doing that solved my first problem, but now i have been getting the error described in this topic (unable to load dataclass info... etc.). i tried reinstalling itunes (i already had 9.1.1, and thats what i reinstalled) by using the method described on apples site (using the "remove programs" tool in the control panel) and then downloading and installing itunes. when i opened it again, i still got the same error, and just now i got an error saying "the instruction at "0x00aadb6b" referenced memory at "0x00000008". the memory could not be read" it gave me the option to cancel and debug, or to press ok and terminate the program. I tried pressing cancel, and the popup went away but nothing else happened. a minute later the popup was back, so i pressed ok and itunes quit. Upon opening Itunes again, i got the very same error. sorry for the long post, but its really been bugging me. thanks for any help you might give, and if you need anymore info, feel free to contact me.

What does error message 150:30 in Photoshop Elements 8 mean?

I have adobe photoshop elements 8 and, out of the blue, I get a message stating that I need to reboot for it to work. I reboot and it still doesn't work. Then there is an Error message 150:30 exhibited on the page. Adobe is too irresponsible to simply tell me what the error message means or provide a list for it, at least one I can find so I thought I'd solicit the good graces of other for help since help from Adobe is simply a shakedown for money due to their negligence and failure to support their products.

Yes. The upgrade broke your CS4 install. You have to reinstall.
Easiest way to fix this is to download the installer Download CS4 products and have your serial number at the ready.
Then you will need to download and install the updates for Photoshop, Camera Raw, and Bridge here: Product updates
There is a Terminal fix, but you have to be familiar with Terminal and running the python license Repair script. You will need the bash shell on your user account. If that makes sense to you, we can try that.
