PSE12 recognises my scanner, however, asks to connect??!! Pls HELP urgently

I have win7pro and win 8.1. PSE12 recognises my scanner, however, after going through and pressing scan it comes up with a error to coonnect the device!! The printer scanner is a HP Officejet 6500a plus if this helps.
Pls advise urgently.

Restart your Mac.
Reset the printing system:
- Go to System Preferences > Print & Scan
- Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
- Select the plus sign to re-add a printer. Select the Defualt tab on the top of the window. Look for the printer, select it and then next to the "Use" pulldown, select the printer model (not AirPrint). Wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.

'no camera is connected',pls help

Hi, until recently, my facetime and photobooth does not work as there's no camera connected or detected. i do not know what to do! i tried re-starting, shutting it down and etc but nothing works. Pls help!!

The proper "reset" suggested there often restores normal function.
(Apple has changed the built-in camera's name on newer Macs from "iSight" to "FaceTime" and then to "FaceTime HD." Regardless of the name of your Mac's built-in camera, the same info and troubleshooting applies.)

Correct, a standard phone service will not provide internet connection. You need to talk with your cellular provider and ask for a data plan for iPads. Not a phone service.

Ask for ROI problem help urgently

Hi,
I have a very headache problem with ROI setting dynamically but I don't know how to do it so far.
My device is being constructed and CCD camera has to be taken down away frequently present phase for other components tuning and adjustment. I have to retuning the optical system and collect a new reference image(background image) and reset ROI once more. It always makes my tested and workable vi become unworkable. I found, if I can set up a constant-size ROI dynamically in every new image which will be processed, this headche problem could be solved. I have studied the manual and website about the ROI but have no ideas to solve it yet and I need you help, the project will be closed 10 days later and it's very urgent to me.
Take a look the images first please, the goal is for a vi to find the fibers in the glass tube. The ROI should be a rectagle zone exact as the inside space of tube. I can easily get the up-edge of tube with coordinates of its both endings and its angle in horizontal. How can I set up a constant-size ROI dynamically in every new image which will be processed?
Of course it is very ease to get the ROI size in pixels by measuring under Vision Builder. I have done that the new image snaped shifts and rotates based on the reference image(background image).
Comments and suggestion are highly appreciated!

The problem right now becomes how to set up a zone by 4 points(their coordinates known!) as ROI.
I tried to figure out what is your exact meaning in the procedure but still half understanding right now.About vision, I am much relying on the IMAQ Vision Builder, of course I will try to do it in labview when it's much simple. But I found some new factors and I'd like to solve my ROI problem in another way and maybe it is simpler and makes my vi work more reliable and stabler.
I made a vi which creates a new image(bottom edge horizontal angle=0 or 360) from a previous reference image(used as background image, its related angle not =360 or 0)by rotating itself and this new image under Vision Builder was tested and it firmly proves both top and bottom edges are exactly horizontal. And at the same time I found that both top and bottom edges can be very easily and exactly found by " find straight edge:horizontal/edge" function and it indicates an exact zone to be ROI as desiration. But it shows the zone is not exact rectangle by glacing at their coordinates of 4 points. I used this script to test other images that are not exact horizontal and their results show both top and bottom edges are located badly. These promt something to me that it would be perfect if my ROI could be set up by the coordinates of these 4 points from both top/bottom edges found by vision vi and it exactly reflects the dynamically changes of ROI in real process operation. In another words, The ROIs are very tiny differnces and dynamically changed in machine-vision-view since settings up with device opticals,reflection of lightings are not exact the same each time and system vibration, and also the tube space is not exact rectagle due to its manufecturing tolorence, etc.
Hence, the problem becomes how to set up the zone marked by these 4 points as ROI. I didn't find the related way to do this in Vision Builder but suppose it should be simple in labview. I still have no any idea of the function to do this now. Comments are still warm welcome, especially what functions to be used on this purpose.

Mac is enabling selective file opening after filter transfer on windows. Now it shows the newly transfered file however it cant be opened on the mac, pls help

recently i bought a new WD 1tb hard drive to help me store more files from my mac. However as i need some files to be transfered from my old drive to my new one and since it will take ages as i have 120gb worth of pictures hence i let my laptop (pc) do the work while i used my mac to work. After completion, i realise when i connect to my new hard drive with the old files transfered in it. I can see all the files new ones which i transfer from my mac and old files from one old hard drive to the new one via the pc. The new files can be open and view with no dramas, sadly i cant say the same with the old files. I can see the folder but i cant open the folders let alone open the files. On the pc however no such drama, pls help.

If I understand correctly you used your PC to copy files to an external HDD while you worked on your Mac, now when accessing your external HDD, you cannot access those files. Is this correct?
If yes, the problem likely lies in how your HDD was formatted. Mac and Windows use different systems. If your HDD is NTFS or FAT, you should be able to read it with Mac, but you won;t be able to write to NTFS.
A better way to transfer files to that external for use with your Mac is to format the drive using your Mac, connect both computers to your network and share the folder you need to copy files from on your PC. Connect to the folder in Finder on your Mac and copy them over to the external.

LR from CC, but asking for Serial Number! Pls help! URGENT!!!

I have LR and PS as part of my Photography Subscription to Adobe CC.
I was having a problem with LR, so I downloaded a trial version from the site and installed.
Now LR asks me for a Serial Number when I run the software. I don't have a Serial Number since this was part of the CC Subscription!
How do I revert my LR back to the normal - running from CC.
Pls help urgently! I have aclient deliverable tomorrow morning ...

Uninstalling and re-installing thorugh CC was the plan that came to my mind as well. But I'm reluctant to go that path coz I'm thinking I will lose all my collections etc that I've created over a period of time once I uninstall the current LR. And therefore I'll lose the thread of edits I've made to my pictures, the selections etc. How can I avoid that loss?
I have backed up my catalog though - I think I should be able to retrieve all those collection/selection information from that catalog?
Another question.
Broadband at home has been down for the last couple of days. So I'm not able to download the LR from CC on my desktop at home.
Can I login to CC from another computer at a friends place, download LR and take it home on USB and install on my desktop? I could sign in to CC once my Internet is back and running.
Is that an option?

You need to place the device in recovery mode ...
f you can't remember the Passcode, you need to restore the device from the computer it was last synced with.
Instructions for putting the device in recovery mode > iOS: Unable to update or restore
If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present

Canon MP560 Scanner Problems - Allow Incoming Connections and Sharing

Though I have allowed incoming connections for my scanner, I'm prompted every time I want to scan. In addition, I've also selected so share my scanner in the Print and Fax window. However, it automatically deselects.

Oh, and I've also allowed incoming connections for the DVD/CD sharing but according to the Sharing menu, it's blocked by the firewall. I don't understand. =S

I'm not sure what you mean by prompted every time you want to scan, but if you have the scanner driver and not the Canon Scan utility in the permitted list, then this could be the issue.
To add the Canon IJ Network Scan Utility to the list of allowed programs.
1. Open System Preferences > Security and select the Firewall tab.
2. Enable “Set access for specific services and applications
3. Click the + icon
4. Browse to Mac HD > Library > Printers > Canon > BJPrinter > Utilities and select Canon IJ Network Scan Utility. Click Add
5. Ensure the Canon IJ Network Scan Utility is set to ‘Allow incoming connections’.

IOS8 update on iPhone5: asks to connect to iTunes :/

After a few attemps, i finally was able to download and run the update to iOS8 on my iphone 5.
HOWEVER: I am now stuck with the "connect cable to iTunes" screen and all I can do from there is restore.
Unfortunately I didn't backup my phone before and in the past this worked seamlessly...
How can I at least save some of my documents now?
Any advice?

Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything...

There were no accounts in my local security settings so I added SERVICE;Ron and it recognised them both .
To update , I decided to reboot and try the install one more time and Quicktime and itunes installed successfully , ipod appeared to but when I connect my nano I get an error message that the software didn't install correctly . I uninstalled it and reinstalled , ran ipod updater but it's still the same . When I plug in my nano itunes doesn't recognise it and I keep getting a message on my taskbar telling me that this device will run better in a USB 2.0 port but that's what I'm using !!?? . Any ideas ? .

Well, I just purchased Linksys wifi and hooked it up. It's running fine. When I go to my IPhone settings to see is I'm connected to a wifi, it shows that I am not connected. When I hit my wifi to see or to connect, it takes me to the wifi networks and it's showing my secured wifi as being locked and my guess wifi as not locked. How do I sign in to my own wifi network.

Definitely sounds like an issue with your Wi-Fi network. Do any other devices on the network have similar issues? Is it an issue only with downloading apps? You can check by trying to load a website in Safari.
I would try turning your Wi-Fi router off for 1 minute, and back on again.
After doing that, disconnect and re-join the Wi-Fi network on your iPhone and try downloading an app again.
