PSE13 on Win 7 - seeing clipboard

PSE13 on Win 7 - PS cannot see the clipboard when using FILE > NEW > Image from Clipboard

Hi Raj,
JAVA_HOME is set .
I tried running the web server from command prompt to get the exact error message .
C:\>"C:\Program Files\Oracle Demantra Spectrum\Collaborator\Tomcat\bin\startup.bat"
The CATALINA_HOME environment variable is not defined correctly
This environment variable is needed to run this program
C:\>echo %CATALINA_HOME%
C:\Program Files\Oracle Demantra Spectrum\Collaborator\Tomcat\bin
C:\>echo %JAVA_HOME%
C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_10
This is little strange that it is not finding CATALINA_HOME.
Regards
RS

hello, the flash plugin might be used for this kind of content - however adobe has announced some three years ago that it will cease all development or support for flash on mobile devices: http://blogs.adobe.com/conversations/2011/11/flash-focus.html

I keep trying to download the windows version of firefox so I can run it under wine on linux but all I can find is the linux version because the web site automatically detects the os. Any ideas on how I could do this?

  • PSE13 on Win 8: repeated popup error "no disc in drive"

I have photoshop elements 13 and it installed fine. It even works fine but I get this popup every time I open an close the program that says: No disc in drive. Please install disc into drive E. This is frustrating since I am in and out of the program all the time. I have to click the error message seven to ten times before it will go away and each click it makes an irritating ding sound that woke my wife up the other night. Upon closing the program the same message pops up and I have to click on it four to six times before it will go away.
How do I fix this problem?
I have reinstalled the program literally ten times. One of which was straight from the Adobe website - per Adobe chat support. Adobe chat support was not able to fix my problem, even after taking control of my pc and sent me to forums.
I also have disconnected all external hard drives and took antivirus off my pc so it wouldn't be a factor.
I don't know what else to do but am finding this really annoying to the point that I don't want the program on my pc anymore if it can't be fixed.
I am running Windows 8, 64 bit, have 16 GB RAM, and have Intel Core i7-3770 CPU   3.40 GHz   3.90GHz on a brand new computer.
    Thank

    Its a known problem:
this is posted somewhere else by A.T. Romano:

The Premiere Elements 13 No Disc error is a known issue which has afflicted many. PRE_help's fix for this has
worked for many. It involves deleting or disabling the OldFilm.AEX file found
    Local Disk C
    Program Files
    Adobe
    Adobe Premiere Elements 13
    Plug-ins
    Common
    NewBlue
and in the NewBlue Folder should be the OldFilm.AEX file that you delete or disable by renaming the file from OldFilm.AEX to OldFilm.AEXOLD.
Please let us know if that worked for you.
    Thank you.

just follow and its fixed. (i had the same problem and now no more.)

  • How do I Win on Mac to see internet connection?

Finally, after 3 tries got WinXP Pro installed. How do I get it to see the Mac LAN ?

Thank you. You gave me the idea and I used the MAC install Cd to get the boot camp drivers. Win now on the net .
    Next problem
How do I get Win to see my printers which are shared on my network?  . All sharing boxes checked.

  • Wine Does Not See Network Printer

I have an hp wireless printer setup on my network. I added it in hplip and it is showing up on CUPS and works fine from everything in Arch.
This is what CUPS looks like:
Driver: HP Envy 4500 Series, hpcups 3.14.10 (color, 2-sided printing)
    Connection: hp:/net/ENVY_4500_series?ip=192.168.2.242
    Defaults: job-sheets=none, none media=na_letter_8.5x11in sides=one-sided
When I try to print from Wine using Notepad, an error message pops and says
"Before you can perform printer-related tasks such as page setup or printing a document, you need to install a printer. Please install one and retry."
This is the error that displays in the prompt:
    fixme:winspool:WINSPOOL_EnumPrintersW We don't handle PRINTER_ENUM_CONNECTIONS
Everything I have read says if the printer is on CUPS, wine should see it automatically. I am using the 64-bit OS. Any ideas?

My printer is also on wi-fi.  In the past (under os-x) I always had some problems with the scanner - generally I would get a message "Failed to open a session on the device".   It happened infrequently, usually after several days of having my mac on.   I could fix the problem by login-out and in again or by changing to guest and then back again.  However, with Maverick the problem with the scanner and error "failed to open a session on the device" always occurs.  I can't print either - the printer queue says it can't connect to the printer.  To answer your question regarding HP software... there is no HP software for the mac.  I am using the MAC device drivers that were loaded when I connected my printer.  I can print from my iphone/ipad through airprint... but can't seem to print from my mac with maverick.
I did logout and login yesterday to finally install the printer drivers.  But today - I can't connect to the printer. BTW all other computers and devices can print to this printer.

  • Running any wine application instantly crashes entire X server

I'm not really sure how to debug this issue. Suddenly, without performing any pacman update or other major changes, running any wine application (even winecfg) crashes X.
Looking at strace, it appears to be a GPU related issue, and temporarily removing lib32/libXxf86vm (the last module loaded according to strace) fixes the issue. However it breaks the 3d application I want to use under Wine.
On the other hand, glxgears for example works perfectly.

    Still doesn't work
I should add that wine works correctly under the same X environment (well, same configs but not same Xorg.conf) running through 'vncserver' - it's just the GPU-accelerated environment started via 'startx' that I'm having trouble with

  • Trying to get Win 7 64 installed, not working

I am trying to get Win 7 64 installed. I have my dvd (downloaded a authorized version from Microsoft partners group, legal copy, we use it for other installs all the time). I imaged it to a dvd, should be all set.
Both Mac and Win side see the DVD. I go to my bootcamp utility, and go through that process. I am setting it up on my solid state drive that I just put into my CD slot. The DVD drive is now in an external housing hooked up VIA USB.
I then tell it to continue to format my new HD, and start the instal. It restarts, my DVD drive spins up and starts running. Then a gray screen comes up with the Apple in the middle. It then flashes, every now and then.
Can any of you give me some ideas? I have spent hours on this so far.
    Thanks,
    John

If you use Apple Disk Utility to burn the ISO, it won't work properly unless burned at reduced slowest speed 2x. Common and what I would consider "well known" but not documented, not put in the PDF guide in writing.
Sometimes it even boots and installs but bad install and fails. So in a way you were lucky it wouldn't start.

  • [NOOB warning] Getting Java to install under wine

Having junked windows, I find myself in need of java under wine, but cannot get any version recognized. I have Fedora Core 5, wine-0.9.24, and mail from the Irish Revenue to read, which needs java to log in. I have jre1.5.0_09 showing in the wine uninstaller, and j2se-1.42_01. The about:plugins in Seamonkey (under wine) shows java capability. But when I try to install the Irish Revenue software, or run java executables, it just spews errors and dies
    Irish Revenue offline Software http://www.ros.ie/PublisherServlet/info/install
    does this::
    cmd: "C:\windows\temp\I1166476762\Windows\resource\jre\bin\javaw.exe" -Xms16777216 -Xmx50331648 -classpath "C:\windows\temp\I1166476762\InstallerData\IAClasses.zip;C:\windows\temp\I1166476762\Windows\resource\jdglue.zip; (snip)
    IAClasses.zip is not unarchived.
Trying to log in without the software shows that the java engine is not recognized :-). The software seems to be a java install, with it's own java engine creating a unique directory each time and using that engine to run the install. All this is way over my head. Any ideas for me?

I could be wrong, but nothing I find says Java will Run in Wine. See

  • How to see my OS (Windows)'s taskbar in Fullscreen w Menus mode in CS6?

Hi, I just upgraded from CS3 to CS6, and aside from the color which I gladly just found out I could change, there is something that is just driving me up the wall.
Why. why. WHY. Can't I see Windows (as in my OS)'s taskbar while I'm in 'Fullscreen with Menus' mode? That is the worst thing ever. I can't even fuction right now. I've been sitting here trying to find an answer, a checkbox, an option in the preference tab, anything, but there's nothing. Am I missing something?
I found another user here complaing about the very same thing on CS4 and CS5.
Please tell me this has been fixed on CS6? =/ anyone? Please?

Thanks for your comment, 007. Interesting and good to know, if true, but kind of crazy, too.
There should be a way to get Win 7 to see the drives and files on the OS X side, since apparently it was possible before (see my original post re Bootcamp reference).
The way things are now, I've been using my older WinXP machine as a kind of intermediary between the two partitions, since it's recognized by both. I can read files on the Windows 7 (Bootcamp) side from OS X, but I can't send/save anything there, which is totally crazy and ridiculous since they're all on the same computer and there are programs on the Win7 side I need to use and transfer  files from for other software to use on the OS X side. Being forced to use my old PC as an intermediary is really nuts, in my opinion.
I've got VMWare Fusion 5, but it doesn't really address the problem-issue  here. I need to be able to send files to the Windows 7 side, and send files back from Win7 to the OS X side, preferably without the necessity of a 3rd party like my WinXP machine (which is getting old and increasingly untrustworthy). (It seems to me like a necessary requirement that Apple should have considered when the company first invented Bootcamp and brought the expanded capability of running Windows on Mac computers.) I wonder if we're both still missing something and there's some kind of network setting I still have to fix somewhere. I mean, for a short while, Win 7 did see the OS X partition when I was tinkering, even if I couldn't get in. Bizarre.
If someone else knows something about how to make Win 7 see OS X, please put your two cents in. I'd appreciate it!

  • Windows xp does not see airport express

I run an airport express as a base station in my apartment which works fine both for my iMac and my Palm pda. But a friend is visiting me presently, and her windows laptop, running XP, does not see my wifi station, although it sees others in the area. I tried removing security but that made no difference.
Is there perhaps was something that had to be ticked in the airport base station setup to enable Windows laptops to see Apple wifi? As for example when I send attachments in Apple Mail I have to tick a box to make them Windows-friendly.

I use Airport Express... two Macs and another laptop running Win XP and couldn't get the Win to see the network until I changed to a different card, a D-Link Airplus. I think it was all of $19.95 and works like a charm...
Also, in Airport Admin Utility/Network, make sure you have:
Distribute IP addresses checked and where it says; Share a single IP address using DHCP and NAT, click the pop up menu and select: Use 10.0.1.1 addressing.
Also, her Win might be picking up interference your iMac or Palm doesn't... try a different channel:
By default, the AirPort software automatically selects the best available channel when the base station is plugged in. If your base station is experiencing interference, try changing the channel it uses.
    To select a different channel:
Open AirPort Admin Utility, located in Applications/Utilities.
Select your base station and click Configure.
Enter the base station password if necessary.
Click AirPort, and then choose a new channel from the Channel pop-up menu.

  • Wine and WineBottler not working. How do I fix it?

Hello, everyone. A few months ago I downloaded Wine so that I could run Windows files and applications on my computer. However, recently, it's not working. No matter how many times I tell Wine to run the file, nothing happens. X11 doesn't start or anything. I've even tried uninstalling and reinstalling Wine to see if that worked but it didn't. Could someone tell me what to do so that it works again? Any help provided will be appreciated. Thank you.

lol, I know it blows, but sometimes you need to stop trying to run emulators for such needs and actually run the respective OS you need.  Wine or X11 will not run 100% of all Windows based programs, so you can't expect it to run everything.  If you find yourself needing better Windows support, then I suggest something like Parallels 8 and a copy of Windows as a VM alongside OSX.  Much more reliable solution.
