PSE13 Organizer: stacks and version sets do not expand

Converted three catalogs from PSE12 show the stacks/versions sets overlay symbols in organizer but there seems to be no way to expand the stack/version set. All the menu choices for doing this are disabled.
Anybody else seeing this? Any workaround? Any ETA besides PSE 14 or higher for a fix?

I had the same issue. It took me a lot of time playing with the interface before I finally figured out the problem. Even though, when you double click a photo (single view) from within the default grid view, you "do" get the option to expand a stack or version set (not greyed out). However, it does not work. My frustration with that is that since it was not greyed out you would naturally expect it to be functional and it is not. In grid view the option is greyed out however that caused confusion as well since this option works in Elements 12 default view. So, one assumes it is a defect. Right? So the solution is to switch the grid view to detail view (view -> detail). Once you do that then the expand function works as expected. This should have been explained as I believe it is a change in functionality (user work flow) from earlier versions. I did try to find wording about this in the help file but no luck.

How are stacks and version sets handled in Mobile Albums

I am thinking of purchasing PSE 12. However, I have a question about the way stacks and version sets are handled in Mobile Albums within Revel.
When photos are in stacks or version sets in PSE 12 and I sync those photos to Mobile Albums in Revel, do the photos also appear as stacks and version sets in Revel? Or, do the photos which were in stacks and version sets in PSE 12 appear individually (i.e. un-stacked and not in version sets) in Revel?

Support Photoshop Elements 5 Stacks and Version Sets

I would like to see stacks in Lightroom that work the same way as those in the Photoshop Elements 5 Organizer. PSE5 stacks are far more capable than Lightroom ones. (Can stack across multiple folders, can include version sets in stacks, etc.)
Additionally, I would love to see support for PSE5 Version Sets. These are similar to the "Stack with original" option, but work more smoothly (latest version is always automatically on top, for example).
Since Adobe has already implemented these in PSE5, you would think it would be pretty simple to also include them in Lightroom.

Version Set is not created when editing with Photoshop CS4?

Last week I was working in PSE7 and opening files into PS CS4 for editing. I open the files by clicking the Open with link and choose Photoshop. I edited several dozen photos and when I closed them from PS CS4 Version Sets were created in PSE7 like they should be. At some point that stopped happening. Now when I do as before and open the files into PS CS4, edit them, and then close them the Version Set is not being created in PSE7. I look in the folder containing the files and the file has a new modified date but it still has the same file name instead of being saved with the - edited name as before. Does anyone know why the version sets are no longer being created when editing with PS CS4? I can edit the files with the PSE7 editor and the version sets are created as they should be. Thanks!

Okay so tha there is no misunderstanding here is exactly what I'm doing. From the PSE7 Organizer I select a photo (file name Tetons & Jenny Lake 026.jpg) and click the Fix tab. I then click More Options and select Photoshop. The photo opens in into PS CS4. I make my edits click the x on the tab to close the image and I'm asked "Save changes to the Adobe Photoshop document "Tetons & Jenny Lake 026_edited-1.jpg" before closing?" I click Yes then click OK to save the image at maximum quality. I go back to the PSE 7 Organizer and there is no version set. I check the folder the original image was in and see the original file Tetons & Jenny Lake 026.jpg with a new modified date and time. I can even choose Save As from PS CS4 and it asks me if I want to overwrite Tetons & Jenny Lake 026_edited-1.jpg and I select Yes, but I get the exact same results. Thanks!

Problem with junk folder showing up when I don't want it and have set to not have it

Just updated Thunderbird. Have settings set to NOT create junk folder, but a junk folder keeps showing up with emails in it (that are not junk!). Also, and even worse, there is no notification that there are new emails in the junk folder- I have to click on the folder to check for emails in that folder. I have disabled all setting related to junk. We use thunderbird at work and everybody who has recently updated has this problem. Obviously, it is a bug in the new update. Help!!!

Does your anti virus program filter spam or junk mail? does your mail provider? are these accounts IMAP or POP?

The command "feather" and/or "set" is not available

Greetings all.
I am having problems with various actions in PS 11 that all seem to work fine in PS 10. It's primarily either "the command feather is not available" or "the command set is not available". These problems don't occur when I run the actions in PS 10. I've seen this here and there before when running anaction for the first time but it was just a matter of opening up the action and re-checking various boxes that were un-checked for some reason. In this case, everything is checked as it should be.
When they run properly, the actions make their own selections and such so reminding me that a selection is needed is not the fix for me. In PS 10 they run fine on a background or a layer without making any selections first. It's not as if this just happened all of a sudden, it's been a problem every since I installed 11 but I just used different actions instead. It's actually happened in PS 10 with other actions but I just ignored it at that time as well. It's not an intermittent thing, certain actions they either run or don't run.
Please let me know your thoughts and ideas on both the "feather" and "set" issues and thanks in advance for your input.

There are change between CS3 and CS4 which could account for this.
I suggest you remake the actions in CS4

Time Capsule and iTunes set up not working, please help.

I have moved my itunes library to my time capsule and changed my itunes preferred path to its time capsule location. However when I restart my apple laptop, after having shut it off for the night, and open itunes (time capsule is visible and accessible to the laptop), itunes has reversed the preferred path I set to point to my time capsule to my local laptop hard drive instead. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I have looked in other discussions concerning lost itunes file paths, however I never had this issue with my wired external drive; and I only start iTunes after I am sure that my computer can access the files on my time capsule. Thank you.

If you're still experiencing "disconnects," even with the earlier firmware, but not experiencing these at all when directly connecting your computer to the modem, there is a good chance that one of the following may still be the problem:
o Bad Ethernet cable between the D-Link & TC.
o The TC is faulty.
o The D-Link is faulty.
o The TC & D-Link are just not compatible with each other.
o The ADSL signal strength, coming from your ISP into the D-Link, may need "tuning."
I'd start with trying a known good Ethernet cable. If that doesn't resolve the problem try contacting your ISP/ADSL-Provider next to see if they can run a ADSL line diagnostic to verify that there is a good signal to the D-Link; While you have them on the line, see if they can provide you with another modem.
Finally, if available to you, try temporarily replacing the current TC with another TC or another wireless router.

Project version(current data and version data comparison not possible)

I am stuck up with project version we are using EHP7 and SAP HANA
When i create the version through CN71 or CNS41 system displays message "version is saved"
When i try to compare the same version with the current date in the same mentioned transaction codes system does not display the version data .
secondly when i am trying to display only version system displays message version does not exists.but in tables data is saved
In transaction code CN71 if i go to edit -->other selection versions-->enter user and press enter system displays all the saved versions for that project
selecting the project version it is displayed only
In the drop down list ,under VIEW--> choose project versions is also in display mode and is not editable .

If the version only exists in table VSKOPF then it does not main the version is actually created. You need to check if the corresponding version data has been created in table like VSPROJ_CN, VSPRPS_CN and so on, these tables holds the real data of your versions, if there is no data in these tables, then you can't compare the data also.

Internet browser and email set up not available...

I just got my blackberry yesterday from verizon and i have the email and web browser features....however, the globe does not come up as an icon in my applications nor can i set up a personal email account. i've called verizon and was on the phone with them for an hour while they tried everything to figure it out. it says my phone isnt registered with the network but i am so i dont know whats going on. for some reason i cannot access the broadband network and i dont know what to do. i tried looking for a number to call for blackberry technical support but cant find one. does someone know what's going on with my phone? will i need to send it back and get an entirely new one?

Go to > Options >Advanced Options>Host Routing Table> menu key (left of trackball) >register now.....codes should populate in this field. Your browser & email icon should pop up on your screen shortly. Let us know if this works.

Mail keeps asking for password and icloud setting do not load in system preferences

I have a mac mini server with mavericks, i have 2 iMacs as clients running mavericks too, when i use iMac (A) mail app and icloud work fine, them i take iMac (B) and mail app start asking for password , it just won't take the password, icloud do not load and cannot use anything else on system prferences because it locks system preferences, i need to force quit system prefrences , so I return to iMac (A) and i get same behaivor as iMac (B), i would appreciate your help for finding a solution for this.
All network users get the same behaivor, local users do not get this behaivor.

I have the same problem. The solution is to log into your client, open Keychain, run Keychain First Aid under file menu. If it fails to find your keychain, note the path, mount the disk that it is looking for, and rerun.
In short, you need to have the disk that your keychain is sitting on mounted. While your user account is mounted, Maveriks cannot match the reference path. Looking like a bug.
Example:
my folder sits on a second disk on server. It is properly setup in the mavericks server.
On the server, it is locally referred to as: /Volumes/my_disk/Users/my_user. I can log in to mail on the server when I log in with my user name.
In the workgroup manager, the same location is referred to as:
afp://my_server.local/Users/my_user (or smb)
/Network/Servers/my_server.local/Volumes/my_disk/Users/my_user
So this is the network path. So the client should be looking for that. But instead, it looks for the local disk, which is not mounted as such. In other words, it looks for:
/Volumes/my_disk/Users/my_user/Library/Keychains
instead of
/Network/Servers/my_server.local/Volumes/my_disk/Users/my_user/Library/Keychains
To eliminate this problem, you mount the volume on the client, so it can find. I will keep the editorial to myself, but this is not quality software.

SAP NetWeaver is a SAP technology platform. In fact it is a bundle of technology components - see list above. Each new release of SAP NetWeaver will contain new versions of these components, it means synchronized release of SAP NetWeaver components. Support Packs are synchronized too, so we have Support Packs stacks including patches of NW components.

My new iPad does not rotate and the setting is not 'locked'

As regards the second issue, Try a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. When the screen goes blank power On again in the normal way.] It is absolutely/appsolutely safe!
Failing that, uninstall the app and reinstall.

PSE 6.0 Crop size and refine edge submenus not expanding

Hi,
When I am in the full editor, I try to do a traditional crop and the aspect ratio menu won't drop down so I can't change to 4x6, use photo ratio, etc. Then sometimes it will just miraculously be working again. What am I doing wrong here? I must be locking it up somehow.
And I just discovered when I was using the quick selection tool, the refine edges submenu wouldn't drop down. This is driving me insane!
Any ideas as to what the problem is? Last time I had a problem similar to this, it was because I accidentally kept hitting the capitalize key which was causing me not to be able to see the full brush and just a little point. I tried that in this case and it's not working.

I too have (both with PSE V6 and with PSE V7) from time to time the same problem with the "aspect ratio".
I do not know what the reason for the problem is. But I found long time ago in another Post of the Forum two different "workarounds".
The first workaround: when I am in the Editor and see that I can not change the "Aspect Ratio", I do the following within the Editor:
File--> New--> Blank File.... Then in the "New" Pop-Up Window I click on "OK".
The second workaround: when encountering the problem, I close the whole Editor and then start again the Editor.
The first workaround seems to me to be much less inconvenient than the second one.

Missing Stack/Version Set opt. when "move to removable" with album

I'm using windows XP and I occasionally move pictures to a DVD and retain thumbnails for organization. If I use picture that DO NOT belong to an album and do a "copy/move to removable disk" I get three options (move, stacks, versions). If I use a picture that IS IN AN ALBUM and do a "copy/move to removable disk" I only get the single move option, the include stacks and versions set aren't grayed out, they simply aren't there. I'm working with photoshop elements 6 and have got the same results with photoshop elements 7.
The work around I have is to move all unsorted pictures into an album and REMOVE the pictures from the albums I want from that album into the unsorted/unassigned. This is really annoying because I'm trying to organize pictures with albums and backup to dvd (2) for safe keeping and not cluttering up the computer with pictures.
Does anyone else experience this? Anybody have a solution? I want a simple way to move to DVD and only retain linked thumbnail on computer.

I dont think the solution is written down anywhere its just one of those things you figure out after using the Organizer for a really long time.
PSE albums have annoying behavior with respect to stacks and version sets. If you put one photo from a stack/set into an album, the entire stack/set gets placed in the album, and if you delete one photo in a stack/set from the album, all the photos from the stack/set get removed. The behavior you discovered you can only move the top photo in a stack/set is strangely inconsistent, but not surprising. Adobe has introduced a number of sloppily designed features in 6 and 7.

I have installed elements 13 from a disc and the organizer recognizes version sets, but won't let me expand them. Is there a patch?

This is PSE 13? If so, it's not a bug, it's a feature. The new adaptive grid view in the organizer, where you see the thumbnails edge-to-edge, doesn't do stacks or version sets. Press. Ctrl+D/Command+D to get back to the old detail view instead.
