PSE4 - Add tags to the files themselves?

Is it possible to have PSE take the tags that I've used for a particular photo and add those tags to the image file?
I am thinking about switching to another photo organizer program and dread having to re-tag 5,000+ photos.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

There is a command in the Organiser under File > Write Tag Info to Files. This will do as it's name suggests with the exception of RAW images. The only draw back is that this will also change the DATETIME field to the date when you issue the command. If your other Organiser uses this as the date and time the image was created it will be wrong.
Out of interest which Organiser are you thinking of switching to?

Working from my defective memory, this happened to me, but stopped if I unchecked 'Open safe files after downloading' in Safari Preferences/General.
At least I think that's how I stopped it - it hasn't happened since!

It looks like the card may be the problem, and your best bet is to try the Card Reader - this will make the card accessible by the Finder and you may be able to drag the pics off to the desktop or, at worst, try recover the pics with an app like MediaRecover

Is there any way to add tags to the Notes app?

Is there any way to add tags to the Notes app for Mac and iOS?
I've been checking out some other notes apps like Evernote, Simplenote, and Vesper, and the main thing I like about all of them and wish Apple's Notes app had are tags. I keep a lot of notes, and having tags just makes it a lot easier to process or keep track of everyhting. But I don't see a way to add tags to the Notes app on Mac or iOS and was wondering if maybe I'm missing something.
It isn't the end of the world if I have to use one of the other notes apps, but I prefer to use the stock apps for some of the little conveniences (like being able to ask Siri to make a note).

No, there isn't a way to do it.
You could manually put tags like #tag1 #tag2 or something of your convention in the notes and seach for them, but there is no functionality to support organized tagging (or filtering via tags) in Notes right now.

If your XML is just in a CLOB, you can just use string manipulation to prepend/append the nodes on. If you have it in an XMLType you could just do the following

Remove XML tags in the File Adapter

I have a JDBC to File interface. However, there is a requirement to remove some of the XML tags from XML produced by the File Adapter.
For example,

you just need to have this:

as your target message in your mapping
and map all values to Prices tag
you don't need no content conversion - just the mapping

How to add shortcuts to the [File] Open dialog box?

Is it possible to programatically add shortcuts to the dialog box that opens when you press the browse button attached to a file/path control? I'd like to be able to add to the list which includes, My Recent Documents, Desktop, My Documents, My Computer, My Network Places.

Keeping the GPS tag when the file is converted

I have bought a GPS camera and when I convert the file from RAW into JPEG in Elements 8 it loses the GPS tag. Does elements 10 keep the GPS tag?

One is a Canon SLR, can't remember the name. The smaller one is a Canon power shot SX230HS. This one only takes in JPEG but when I process them they lose the GPS tag.

Audition adds _01 to the file names of my audio files

.I record an input and give it a file name like My test audio. What I end up with is My test audio_01.wav. Strange behaviour.

No it's not, and no they don't 'magically' get renamed again unless a file of the same name already exists - which it might well.

No it can't. Audition in multitrack mode is a direct-to-file recorder. You can't just record another file of the same name in the same place, because the OS wouldn't let you without a warning. Firefox crashed 2 days ago and will now not open, and won't uninstall via Control panel add/remove programs; the files are still there on Windows Explorer. IE8 still works.

My PC is a fujitsuscaleo 600, last year I had a new hard drive and some extra RAM fitted and since then has been good - have used, and updated Firefox for over 6 years. in August I installed TrendMicro antivirus and for different reasons this has been uninstalled/re-installed twice. AFter letting it expire, I re-installed ParetoLogic PC health advisor (I think in August too)and allowed it to try updating some graphics drivers following a scan - this was unsuccessful so I marked them to ignore (something about my graphics card not supporting the drivers downoladed). I can see the mozilla files on WIndow Explorer but if I click 'remove' (control panel, add/remove programs) I get a very short 'hourglass' then nothing; if I click Firefox icon I get the same. Help!

I used the Google search to look for pictures. When I find what I am looking for, I download them to my local hard drive. At a later time when I try to view the picture, I get a dialog that asks me if I would like to open this file (as it might be a security risk). I use other methods (browsers) to download images and do not have this problem. It is very annoying. It seems as if EXIF data is added by Firefox, to which I cannot find the setting to tell it otherwise not to add or ignore for this file type.
What do I need to do to stop the triggering of this "Open File - Security Warning" dialog box?

Some sites does indeed provide you localized content depending on few parameters. Some of them you can change easily, such as the Accept-Language HTTP header (Tools→Options→Content→Language, languages are sorted by priority there, so the first will be the most used), while some of these parameters are more difficult to control, such as websites that guess your location based on IP address and sometimes block content if you are not on the list of their target audience countries (Hulu, Netflix etc.).
While it is difficult to remove blocking, most sites that provide localized content allow the users to switch to other languages easily, and most of the times they store this user preference in a cookie.

HT203167 Moved iTunes library from one computer to another using external hard drive. Cannot play many files. Says they are missing but locates them in an archive file but still won't play them. Are the files themselves part of the .itl files?

Moved iTunes library from old computer (PC Windows 7) to new (PC Window 8) using external hard drive. Library listing shows all music but can only play a fraction of it. On the ones it cannot play it asks to locate, then refers to an archived version (an .itl file), and still cannot play them. Do I just need to copy the archived .itl over, or is that not where the actual media are (do the actual media files even exist on the new computer?)? Any advice or information on this would be helpful.

*Also...is there any way I can filter out all the tracks with the ! so I can delete the unplaying copies as they're taking up room in my iTunes? I know how to find duplicates, but then I have to go and delete each one individually...*

So these are the tags inside the file that is stopping my work.
I cant seem to find a way to remove the xmlns.... or the i:nil...
The i:nil gives of a error when trying to read the file and the xmlns stops the search for other tags in the file.
So when I have loaded the data I need to delete some text in the tags.

If you want to delete photo stream photos, just deleted them from your device and they will be deleted from iCloud and your other devices. Be sure you don't want them as you cannot get them back once you delete them.
