PSE5 Photomerge Panorama Blurry in Slideshow

Hi all,
I have a 7-photo, 360 degree photomerge panorama which looks great (finally). I can put this into a slideshow but when I zoom & pan, the image is very blurry or out of focus. Everything looks great in the editor but not in the slide show.
Has anyone ever seen this before? Is there a fix?
Thanks,
Paul

Hey,
A poster named Barb answered this in a discussion in Elements Village.  See below:
http://www.elementsvillage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=46150
The idea is to shrink the image first using Bicubic Sharper then bring it into the slideshow.

  • How to open Photomerge Panorama in PSE 12. The option is not available when I choose File/New.

In PSE 12 (iOS) I can't find "Photomerge Panorama". The tutorial says it should be available in the menu File/New. Yet it isn't.

It's now under the Enhance menu in the Expert mode in the pse 12 editor.

  • Nothing happens when I use Photomerge Panorama in Photoshop Elements 6

    Hi,
When I select files to merge in Photomerge and click on OK, Photoshop seems to work for some seconds, and that's all!
    Do You know this problem?
    Thanks for all hint
    Alooha

A number of people have reported Photomerge failing with this error message (in English versions):
Error 1; unable to create window
    -Internal error
    Line; 364
If you're seeing something similar in German, the only thing that's been reported to work sometimes is to uninstall/reinstall, in what Adobe calls "simplified mode" (with background services, including anti-virus) disabled:
    http://www.johnrellis.com/psedbtool/photoshopelements-6-7-faq.htm#Try_Adobes_generic_troub leshooting
The Read Me for PSE 6 says:
Photomerge Panorama: If you receive out of memory errors when trying to make a panorama, resize each of the photos to a smaller size, then retry the command. If you run into out of memory errors when saving a panorama, try flattening the file (use the Layer>Flatten Image command), or save the panorama in the smaller, JPEG format.
Finally, this tech note for Photoshop CS3 probably applies to PSE as well:

  • Photomerge panorama not working in elements 11

    Hi:
I cannot make the photomerge panorama function work in elements 11. It simply
generates the standard Window 7 error message and when it can't find a solution
the program closes. In previous versions ( 9 and 10) it always worked and never
    caused a problem.
Attempting to rebuild the preferences file as suggested for a similar problem affecting
earlier versions was also done but to no avail. Its a function I use quite frequently so
until it is resolved I will keep using version 10.
Anyone have a solution for this anomaly??
    Michael

The error message pops up right away and is generated by Windows not PSE.  The java script that generates the familiar combo box that gives you the various panorama options for merging doesn't even have a chance to get started.  The scripting support plugin is in Photoshop Elements 11>Required>Plug-Ins>Automate.  This location is a change from the previous versions.
    Thank you
    Michael

  • Photomerge panoramic won't open and gives "error 364" message

I shot my first panoramic set this morning and tried to load into the panoramic photomerge feature on PSE 6.0, but when I select that, it says "internal error: 364" and will not do anything. It gives me the "send error report" option and essentially locks up and freezes. I thought at first it was because of the raw to dng convesion so I made the images jpegs and tried that, but it does not appear to be the problem because I don't get to the point where I can load images. The first time I tried to select/load the images from the PSE 6.0 organizer and that failed. Then I open the PSE editor and tried to choose the photomerge pano option, expecting to be prompted to choose images, but I get the same error report. I have IBM laptop and run Windows XP. Any ideas?

Here is a link to another thread that mentions that some people have resolved this problem with Photomerge Panorama by uninstalling, cleaning up and reinstalling. Having anti-virus turned off during install activities is important. See the thread for more details.

    Jack Bush,
Since most people responding on these forums are other Adobe customers, we really don't have any info that directly helps to troubleshoot a message that references an internal error. So unless we have solved that problem on our system or someone else who has solved it then posts a description, we don't have any definitive answer.
For that error message when running PSE v7, you could contact Adobe Tech Support. If you do resolve the problem on your system, please do come back and post how it was solved. This will help other forum participants.

  • Still images blurry in slideshow

    still images blurry in slideshow
What resolution and if I need to do anythig with digitalstill images files?

Use an image editing program like Photoshop to resize the images to the correct resolution
and pixel aspect ratio (PAR) of your DVD before importing them into PPro. PPro does not resize images very well.

  • Need help with PhotoMerge Panorama

Can someone help me with PhotoMerge Panorama in PE 13? I upgraded from version 6 and now cannot adjoin separate images into one image. Every time I try I get this message: "Panorama could not be created as some images could not be automatically aligned". In version 6 it would allow me to position the files together manually if the program couldn't figure how to do it automatically, but that feature doesn't seem to be available in version 13. Thanks for any help.

I think i saw the link about interactive layout missing:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/6011038
So maybe i should try lower version of PSE... i hope it is available.
    To mytaxsite:
Thanks for your reply... maybe the link you gave is referenced to another PSE version...
About the suggested blank canvas... maybe I could try... but this involves many images which is hard to do when switching between windows.... but i'll give it a shot.

  • PSE13 Interactive Layout option is missing from Photomerge Panorama

I have just upgraded from PSE11 to PSE13 and found that the Interactive Layout option is not listed under the Photomerge Panorama as shown in the PSE13 reference manual.  Is this an error in the manual, if not how can I enable this option in PSE13.  I am running PSE13 on a Windows 7 64 bit PC.  Hoping you can help!

The only answer is the one provided by Barbara B above.  I hope they will listen to the feedback on how useful this function was and reintroduce it.
At the moment I use the Reposition photomerge option and then manually move and blend the layers and use the Content-aware Fill.  Obviously, it is much more time consuming than the PSE11 interactive option, but it gives me a better finish than the one I get when I use my camera panorama stitch software.  I haven't investigated whether there is a 3rd party plug-in that one can get to replace the interactive function.

  • PSE 8 - Photomerge Panorama not working?

Trial version (is Panorama disabled in trial?), XP, default preferences
File->New->Photomerge Panorama and select either 2 open files or 2 files off disk.    Tried Auto reposition, manual , and in both cases, the program thinks for a couple seconds and then shows me an empty file on screen (checkerboard) entitled Untitled_Panorama1.
Tried a series of different photos, and have done this before in PSE7 with no trouble, so this is puzzling.
    Is this a bug?

John, I want to add some other information for you concenring this problem with Photomerge Panorama in PSE 8 that you have been looking into, as I too get the error message you detailed in your earlier comments on this problem.  I tried your solution (saving for the web) and found that it did work but, of course, it is a pain having to do this workaround. Then, quite by chance I found that Photomerge Panorama was working correctly and so I tried several files, some of which had not worked before!
Tonight, the old problem returned and I have been able to replicate both the problem and the solution.  If I have the Organiser open (which I must) but not the Editor, then it works fine. If I then try to do another panorama with new files, then it usually throws up the error message and fails to work. Any further attempts with the image files (or previous ones that have worked) also fail, ending with the error message.  However, if I close the application completely, and then reopen it, the same files will work perfectly with Photomerge Panorama.
Maybe this throws some new light on the cause for you? (and hopefully Adobe if they read this posting).   Is it a memory problem?   (I have 1 GB of RAM)
    It is certainly very odd.
On another matter, but kind of memory/processor related, although I doubt if you will remember this, but last year when PSE 7 was announced but before it was available, I queried the processor spec moving up to requiring a 2GHz processor  (it was a huge leap in spec from previously required processors and also not a size much then available for PC Notebook users!
You kindly advised that you thought it was more a case of "sloppy marketing" which seemed to be borne out by some later advice that I received and sent you and others from Adobe Technical suppoort.  Recently, when I saw that PSE 8 required a 1.6 GHz or faster processor (the website spec sheet) I was pleased and thoughtful!  Today, my purchased copy of PSE8 arrived. (I have been using a free trial version). Guess what, on the box the processor specification is "2 GHz or faster"  So now we have either another case of "sloppy marketing" or perhaps, it DOES need 2 GHz and maybe this is the problem/part of the problem with Photomerge Panaroma not functioning correctly/consistently?
Maybe though, it IS just a bug and one that I really hope that Adobe can address and rectify AND thsat we don't have to wait until PSE 9.  That would be very, very poor.
How do you report bugs/possible bugs to Adobe or will you further report the issue, assuming that you can replicate what I have found with Photomerge Panorama?
Hope this posting is helpful to you and others experiencing this problem with PSE 8
    Kind regards

  • Photomerge Panorama has stopped working

I have an HP Desktop and an HP Laptop both just over a year old and working fine. Elements 7 has been on both computers since I purchased them and on many occasions I have successfully created Panoramas. Suddenly - a few days ago - Photomerge Panorama stopped working on both computers. Elements otherwise works fine incl RAW to JPG etc using Camera Raw, editing and batch processing. As far as I can see it's only the Panorama facility that's failing.
I use Windows 7 (and IE9) - updated fully - and have recently upgraded Norton 360 to Version 5 (Again on both computers).
Any ideas what's gone wrong and what I can do to get Photomrge Panorama back?? Below is the error message.
    Thanks in anticipation.
    Kenty

Try re-sizing the images first to make them smaller, or select fewer images.

The 'photomerge panorama' title on Photoshop Elements 11 is 'grayed out'.  How can I make it work?

    ELHID labs,
As your question applies to Photoshop Elements, I will Move your post there. Your links and any e-mail subscriptions will follow perfectly.
Also, I think that Steve G. and Neale have given you some great direction to getting your Panorama "stitching" working for you.

  • I am trying to create a panorama, when I enter File New I don't get the Photomerge Panorama option, the only options that appear are Blank file and File from clipboard.  How do I get photomerge panorama

I am trying to create a panorama.  When I enter FILE > NEW > the Photomere panorama option does not appear.  the only options are Blank file and file from clipboard.  This is in Elements 11 on Windows 8.1 OS.  How do I get Photomerge Panorama to appear.

Since PSE11, you access the photomerge option in the 'Enhance' menu, last option. Or you can use the organizer (menu Edit / Photomerge).

  • Interactive Layout mode no longer available in Photomerge Panorama in PSE for Mac - any workarounds?

Hello,  after having purchased a download of Elements 12 for Mac, I found out that the Interactive Layout mode in Photomerge Panorama was no longer available (it was available in earlier versions, such as Elements 11). Is Adobe able to exchange my version 12 for version 11, or is there some other way I can gain access to Interactive Layout mode? I have found that the Auto layout mode often results in a message that it cannot align the images to create a panorama. Thank you.

In photoshop cs6 give this a try:
    1. Go to File>Scripts>Load Files into Stack, browse and load the pictures for the pano with the Attempt to Align and Create Smart Object unchecked
    2. Increase the canvas size of the document with the Crop Tool holding down the Alt key and dragging
one of the crop corners out until you think the canvas is big enough to arrange your documents for the pano.
    3. Align the layers manually in the document window with the Move Tool as good as you can.
(you can lower the layer opacxity so you can see the alignment better, but don't forget to put all the layers back to 100% opacity)
    4. Select all the layers in the layers panel
        (Select>All Layers)
    5. Go to Edit>Auto-Blend Layers and use Blend Method>Panorama and Seamless Tones and Colors
    6. After the blending it's possible you might see some whats looks like seams, so press Shift+Alt+Ctrl+E to make a merged copy on a new layer and hopefully that'll
        get rid of the seams.
I'll make another post with directions for putting the plugin into photoshop cs6, since you probably don't want to install pse 11 just to get a plugin when
photoshop cs6 is so much more capable than elements, for panoramas anyway.
