PSE8 crashes when help is selected

I use PSE 8 for Mac. Lately when I click on Photoshop Elements Help under the help menu the app crashes immediately. A few hundred lines of text show up in the resulting error panel with a message that Apple will be sent the message.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

I just got a iTouch 5G and same issue. Fresh out of the box, and not able to access purchased app on store. Sadle Apple doesn't offer any other way to access previously purchased apps other than on the iOS device. This seems to have been an issue for people since iOS6 was released and still hasn't been fixed. I've tried everything from restart, restore, change date, kill app store, register, authorize. Nothing is working.

PSE8 crashes when I try to email photos using Adobe Email Service

The PSE8 Organizer crashes when I attempt to email photos. In the 2 months that I have owned this program it has crashed several other times, but the current problem with emailing photos always occurs at the same step in the process. I have read all the Help topics related to emailing from this program and it appears that my computer is set-up correctly. The email client is selected as Adobe Email Service. I have received a "verification code", although I have never gotten far enough into the process to enter it. I'm able to go through all the steps to create the email (selecting the photos, typing a message, and selecting recipients). A preview of the email briefly appears, but the program crashes before the hourglass goes away - so I never get to click on "send".
Is there a bug in the program? Has anyone found a solution to this problem?

PSE8 crashes when copying

For some unknown reason PSE8 on Windows 7 crashes when copying. After selecting send error message to windows and selecting PSE8 again, I may get it to work sometimes. Any help will be appreciated.

try deleting your preference settings file -status.dat and psa.prf from pse 8 's path and relaunch the program.

PSE8 crashes when clicking on a video

All was well until I installed Premier Elements 8.0 today. Now when I load PSE8's organizer and single-click on a video's thumbnail, PSE8 crashes. What now? I've updated my graphics driver and completed all the steps that were suggested at Premier Elements' site.

Renaming of the file extension was done at the hard drive save location. This time I tried to import it into Elements Organizer and it did not recognize the codec. When trying to play the newly imported .AVI (used to be .MOV) file, I get a message saying "The selected file cannot be played because your system does not have the required compressor/decompressor (codec) installed." The thumbnail image is a generic film strip icon since it couldn't read the codec and create a thumbnail.
As for Premier Elements:
a. Yes, 8.0.1 patch is applied
b. Both are disabled and have been before I started this issue
c. Yes
d. new Admin user account has same problem
e. have not tried this and am hesitant to do so

I store this videos in their native format. If I do some editing and make movies, I usually keep the export format in some HD format for playing computers or DVD. I don't want to downscale it or necessarily need to go wide screen.
After renaming the file extension I am having Apple Quicktime issues. When I am in the 'Get Photos and Videos from Files and Folders' dialog box, and then click/select a .MOV file, a get a warning message that the "The video file preview is not available because the Apple QuickTime TM could not be initialized." Yet I just reinstalled Quicktime the other day. I will reinstall Quicktime. I believe this has occurred by renaming the file extension of the clip and confusing the computer programs.

PPro CC crashes when using Track Select tool

This is probaby the most bizzare bug i have encountered so far - everythig works - i can scub, play and adjust footage, apply effects, titles and time remapping, but when i select Treack Select tool and click on the timeline, Premiere Pro crashes.
This is a new develpment as well - i was able to use PPro CC just fine since i installed it (trial version), until yesterday.
No new applications or updates for Windows, Nvidia card or Adobe were installed lately, but all drivers are up to date (according to various update managers)
Premiere CS6 works fine with the same sequence (mixed RED and DSLR footage)

Imported sequence from a buggy CC project into a new project causes crash on using Track Select tool
I was able to revert the project in question to CS6 via Final Cut Pro XML, also works fine (for now, at least), just have to redo some time remapping which didn't come through with XML translation, small loss
I guess i'll wait few more months before switching to PPro CC, maybe mysterious bugs will be worked out by then

Iphone 5S iphoto crashing when trying to select and create folders on IOS 8.0.2

The iPhoto app keeps crashing when I try to make a new folder. Don't get me started on the "recently added" tab. I cannot access my entire library anymore through apps because they can't find my entire library. They can only see the recently added tab and any other custom tab made. Therefore I need to create and move all of my photos to another custom tab. But, the app crashes every time I try. Any input would be appreciated!

After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help in this situation. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice concerning device issues:
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
How to restart
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on the top of your device until the red slider appears. Then drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.
How to reset
You should reset your device as a last resort and only if you can't restart it.
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

App Store crashes when purchases is selected.

After installing iOS 6 to my iPhone 4S the App Store crashes every time I select the purchased button in the updates tab. Has anyone else had this issue and know if apple is working on a fix?
Also on a side note the other day I couldn't move any app icons, when I tried the GUI would reboot. Fixed it be manually moving the app in itunes.

Dreamweaver crashes when help selected

DSR11 Not Recognised. FCP Crashes When Log & Capture Selected.

I've recently had a quite traumatic period installing QT7 Pro to work with iDVD disk burning. During that period, FCP3 worked faultlessly. Succeeded at last with disk burning then shut down for the night. Next day went into FCP and found that my DSR11 was not being seen by it. Chose 'Continue' and tried to set things up through 'Easy Setup' in the usual way. Couldn't be done. Selected Log and Capture as a 'try' and FCP crashed, leaving me with the Desktop screen. Despite numerous attempts to create a connection with the DSR11, I always am getting the box telling me it cannot be found and giving the choice to try again or select 'Continue.'
I'm wondering if the QT settings were in some way corrupted as I shut down the computer.... I'd like some help in getting back the settings.
I downloaded the QT7 upgrade which afforded the correct running of FCP and iDVD disk burning but now I can't find any record of the prog and its key in order to re-install it. I looked in HD/Library/Receipts and could only find references to Flip4Mac and QT Packages - no QT references with numbers following. Since inplutting this post I've found that the last mentioned QT package is 7.2 so I tried reinstalling it but after going through the procedure it ends with a message that there were errors in the installation and that I should try reinstalling it again.... Well, after four attempts with the same result, I'm here, and on tenterhooks!
As an aftermention..... I also have used the DSR11 with my MacPro to successfully operate FCP in its normal way.

On the Apple website it specifically states that QT7.2 with OSX.4.10 (actually any system of 10.3.9 and above) is the best way forward for the most efficient result from my computer. In view of that, I've recently used their Feedback page to pass the information to them. Yes, I know it states that one can only use it for feedback and they will not entertain other than that but we should have the abililty to put back to them the sort of quandary I'm in over their OS and allegedly compliant prog - ie QT7.2.
I've now taken the bull by the horns, because there's no other way I'm going to get satisfaction with Apple's software which should be capable as stated, and I'm about to re-install QT7 then try once again. That's despite not finding those additional Receipt files for scrapping prior to the install.
I'll report back the result when finished and tested. If it again fails, Apple will get an official complaint regarding their software that fails after being bought when their advertising says it improves rather than fails.

Labview 2009 SP1 crashes when moving large selection with arrow key

If I select a lot (10 or 15) of Block Diagram components and try to move them some distance with the arrow key, I will frequently get a program crash. Since a smaller number of components seems to crash after a longer travel distance, it looks like some kind of buffer overflow error. I do not see this problem when using the mouse to move selections.
I have checked to be sure I have the latest video driver for my NVIDIA Quatro FX570. I have also tried working with no hardware acceleration and no combined writes. This is happening on Windows XP SP3 with all the current updates.
It has become so bad that I have to do a Save As every fifteen minutes to keep from losing data.
Why don't I use my mouse for all movements? Because it is not as accurate and not so easy to restrict to one dimension of movement. My hand is not as steady as it once was.
I hoping someone will have a suggestion that will clear up this problem.

As I indicated, I had the same problem with 8.5 and just DID a new installation of Labview 2009.
Since it is possible my three-monitor setup, which obviously requires more video memory, may be at the root of the problem, I am satisfied with the workaround of dragging the objects near their final destination and then using the arrow keys.
Three monitors are ideal for front panel, block diagram and Help/Internet/Probe Window. When I had to work in the field with only one monitor, I felt severely handicapped.
You may consider the matter closed.

IPhoto Crashes when trying to select rating

Hi there, is there anyone that can help?...
Everytime I select an image and try to give it a rating as soon as my pointer gets to "rating" in the menu the whole app crashes.
Is there anything I can do about this????....

Audition CC is crashing when attempting to select the Mastering effect from the Rack.

Steps: Load audio wave file, from effects rack select Special > Mastering.
Audition Error
Audition has encountered a fatal error and needs to shut down.
This does not happen when selecting other plugins in the same tree.
I did choose the option to import presets from previous version which I suspect might be causing a conflict as I did have custom presets from Audition CS5.5 for Mastering.

I think my first hunch at troubleshooting this would be to rename the preferences folder and relaunch Audition, so that it starts with fresh, clean, non-migrated preferences and see if the crash still occurs.
If so, then the presets and preferences are likely NOT the problem and you can rename your old preferences folder back. Then we need to do a little more hacking and find out what Audition or the OS thinks is causing the crash. This will be different depending on the OS.

Illustrator crashes when I use selection tools?

As of last night, every time I use the selection tool to click on an object, Illustrator crashes without giving me a crash report. I've already tried restoring my preferences and that hasn't helped.
I'm running OS 10.6.8 and Illustrator CS6 16.2.1
Also, for what it's worth, I am also unable to use the selection tools to move objects in InDesign. This started happening at the same time.
Any ideas?

You may try to close down all other applications and see whether it helps. Some can cause different kinds of disturbances; you can see a list of usual suspects in Item 7 in Other options; those are just the commonly known ones.

Palm TX crashes when WiFi is selected

I have been accessing the internet using the T/X for at least 2 years. Now each time I select WiFi, my Palm TX crashes.
If I have to do a hard reset to fix this, do I have to back up anything? If so, please recommend a free one (I could not locate NVBackup on Sourceforge.net). I have extra programs on the T/X that are not part of the original software. If I do a synch after hard reset, will the extra programs automatically load?

Ok, so I googled like a mofo looking for absolutely every single forum thread about "Palm TX WiFi Crash." Every time I tried to turn on the "WiFi radio" i.e. initiate a network connection, my Palm TX would reset. The issue was that I STUPIDLY!!!! installed various .prc files of random freeware programs I thought would be cool for my Palm TX. After installing them, and trying them out, at some point one program tried to access my WiFi network and the thing crashed. So I freaked out , because as soon as I tried to access WiFi with other programs (Kinoma, Mundu Radio, Blazer) the **bleep** thing instantly would reset. I can't explain how bummed I was. Absolutely bummed. While a Palm TX is cool for various other uses, without WiFi the **bleep** thing is basically sent back to the stone age- like a powerful color game boy. So I did what any proud parent of the kick @ss TX would do- I spent hours looking into why the WiFi would fail. I discovered the soft reset, the warm reset, the hard reset. I backed up the **bleep** thing and started experimenting. Someone told me that it might be a corrupted preferences file, that I should back up the TX and then erase it, see if in the "factory" state the WiFi would work. The WiFi would not work even after I completely erased the product with a hard reset. I was not happy to say the least, completely convinced that the wifi had just suddenly died due to some hardware issue, which I do not have the funds to repair! So, thinking that the built-in ROM WiFi files had become corrupted, I found (full of excitement) that a certain genius by the name of Dimitri had created an enhanced Palm TX ROM file (http://www.1src.com/forums/showthread.php?t=112779 / file: THIS) - Palm doesn't give you a ROM file without making you pay - Dimitri is a godsend! I followed the instructions and everything worked perfectly.
The first thing I did was open the "MAIL" app (built in) and try to access my GMAIL account. It asked if I wanted to initiate WiFi, and for the first time it actually worked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHH!!!! No freeze/restart. Then I was so excited I could pee my pants man. Now I did quickly wonder if just opening Mail and trying to access WiFi (i.e. through a Palm-sourced app) was the cure, as I hadn't tried to use the mail app when Wi-Fi was crashing, I was trying Kinoma etc... Worth a try. I can't truly say that using Dimitri's ROM upgrade was the cure, but everything worked out and I am so glad. On an even brighter note, Dimitri's ROM upgrade come with NetFront 3 browser, which I hadn't heard of. Holy crap! It makes Blazer and Opera a complete joke. Web pages load up instantly like on your computer, web pages look normal- then on top of it, the ROM upgrade includes "Drive Mode," a program that on my iMac allows the SD card in my Palm to pop up on the desktop like a thumb drive, makes the TX an SD card reader through the USB hotsync cable. I wish I had discovered this ROM upgrade sooner, as I had already purchased Card Export, which is a wonderful program that does the exact same thing- only $10.00. So if you have no problems with your TX I'd still recommend just using Card Export, but its a rare thing for a bad situation to revert to an improvement! After all this crap, my TX is much more stable with the ROM upgrade, WiFi works again, the browser is finally a really great browser, and I will not badmouth my Palm Handheld. I love the **bleep** thing!

Iphone 6 massasge app crash when trying to select a photo

I can send massage just fine. I am able to copy and paste photos or video no problems. But if i try to use the cam button in the massage app it pulls up the screen and no preview of last photos show up and the massage app will crash. any idea? try to hard rest, closed out massage app, clean up photos and videos, removed all deleted photos and videos. New phone setup so was not restored from older backup. happen in 8.0 and 8.0.2

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.
