PSE9 photos not linked to correct folders in Organizer

Many photos are in wrong folders in Organizer.  Tried repair routines and reconnecting but problem still exists.  All keyword tags work correctly.  I created a new (additional) catalog and that fixed the problem but I lost all my keyword tags.  I can still access either catalog.
All my photos are intact and undamaged in my computer.  Running Win7 - 64-bit on PC

  • Photos - not linked to SlideShow URL?

    Hello.
I have three separate pages of photos. Two of them work absolutely fine. However, the third one (made at the same time as the other two) will not display larger images upon clicking on the thumbnails. All of the photos are present in the folders, and I looked through the .jss file that belongs to the page (with what little knowledge I have), but there does not seem to be anything wrong compared to the correctly-working pages.
What happens is, when I click on a thumbnail of the page in question, a new correct size window pops up - just as it should for a slide show, but displays an error page. The end of the URL of this pop-up page looks like this:
    /SlideShow.html?lang=en
but I know that the correct URL should look like this, based on the slide show of the other two photo pages:
    /SlideShow_assets/SlideShow.html?lang=en
In other words, the /SlideShow_assets/ part is somehow missing from my bad album.
I tried to re-publish the site, changed the pictures, but to no avail. Would anybody have a clue as to what's going on with it?
    Thank you in advance.

I too have experienced this problem. I just got back from the Genius bar where we tried deleting cache files for iWeb, and then publishing fresh copies of the site onto the local hard disk. Guess what, it isn't a fix.
As best I can recall, the slideshows that I made changes to after updating to 1.1, are the ones that are broken. The slideshows that have remained unchanged in content appear to have successfully updated the structure of links in the .js files. Go figure.
Also, I have discovered another interesting glitch. I copied a hyperlink off of the homepage to a page deeper in the site and the hyperlink works, but the "image" of the text is missing.
If anyone is interested in looking at the site the URL is:
    www.test.oh6.org
All the folks at the Mac store could say was that the site I had built was far betond the original scope of what iWeb was intended for, and furthermore that iWeb was really only a .Mac tool. So, I suppose I will try to remeber that this app is still in it's infancy, and hope that like iMovie, it grows up to be a powerful tool someday.

  • IPad not linking to correct Skype account

I have a premium Skype account and just purchased a new iPad and downloaded the Skype app but it did not link to my premium account and I can't seem to correct this even when I log in with the correct user information.  I spent over 90 minutes on chat with Skype and they could not even figure out what my question was (very sad) but since I already paid for this, I would like to use it.  Any ideas here?
    Thanks!

    HI,
The lInkedButton always links items to the Primary Key.
It means, that the documents the DocEntry field is linked! Not the DocNum !
If you have a multiple document numering, or more series defined over the same time/period/year, you have to cover the linkto property by the following:
execute the following query to check the DocEntry and Docnum field:
    SELECT *  FROM NNM1 T0 WHERE T0.[ObjectCode]  = '22' -- Document numbering
select DocNum, DocEntry from OPOR  -- DocNum and DocEntry relationShip
    Select * from
    So  do the following:
    1. Create an EditText for DocNUm and DocEntry
    2. Hide the docentry textbox (left = -20000)
    3. Set the linkto Property into the DocEntry Item ID
    4. USe CFL to get the DocEntry and DocNUm field values (use can use database field names getting the value when you receiving data from chooseFromList Event
    Now you are correct.

  • Folder not appearing in My Folders in Organizer

In Elements 11, on import, my image files DO download to my computer but that folder DOES NOT appear under My Folders in the Organizer. Any suggestions?

first see what your server settings are.
how do you treat a deleted email.
second see what your inbox folder settings are

  • Photos not placing in correct size?

I've just started playing around with this, so please excuse my ignorance.  I've made a cover photo in Photoshop.  It's 768 x 1024 at 72 ppi.  Saved as a Jpeg image.  When I place that photo in InDesign, it does not fill the page which is also 768 x 1024.  Any advice?

for best results use "Save for web & devices".
maybe you have a document setup up in print rendition and using mm for
document size, wich will result in difficult dpi conversion.
better don't care about dpi anymore, your are designing for the screen where
one pixel equals one pixel, there is nothing to convert via inch or so.
just work with pixel dimensions at all times and use "Save for Web &
Devices", that should give you the best results.

  • Why is Photo not placing at correct size?

I have only in the past day had this issue, but when I place an image into Muse saved for web through photoshop and illustrator, it places as a much smaller image. I tried doubling the size of the image, but it seems to shrink down to a default size. I tried scaling it up, but it is at "%100" and becomes much too "pixely".
    Thanks

    Hi Zenos,
I've discovered what is causing the problem, but I still need a way to fix it, if possible.
The cause of the problem is that in Windows 7 Control Panel > Display I have set the size of "text and other items" to 150% (otherwise everything is much too small too read on my screen's recommended resolution of 1920×1080).
I discovered that Irfan Viewer was also displaying at the incorrect resolution, but I managed to solve that problem by right-clicking on the IrfanView.exe icon and following Properties > Compatibility and selecting "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings".
I tried the same procedure with Thunderbird, but it made no difference. It is still displaying at the incorrect resolution.
    Any suggestions?
    Regards,
    Catsix

  • My new ipad photos are not in the correct albums

Ok so I got the new iPad, and transferred everything including my photos from my iPad 2 backup. I have about 600 pictures divided into 7 folders. After syncing, I looked at the photos and saw that the pictures are on my iPad but not in the correct folders.
For example, say I've got a Pets folder, Wallpapers folder and Personal folder. Those folders are on my iPad.  On my computer, the Pets folder only has pictures of my dog, the wallpaper folder only has some background images, etc. on my iPad the pictures are all jumbled up. When I click on the Pets folder, there will be a few pet pictures, a few wallpapers and a few personal photos. Same for the other folders.
I tried resyncing from the backup and resyncing not from the backup. All with the same result. I also checked the folder I'm syncing from on the computer, and the photos are all in the right place there.
Kind of frustrating. Ever heard of this before and is there a solution?

Well I fixed it, accidentally on my own. My pictures were still jumbled up. I had to save another picture from the Internet onto my camera roll, BAM, suddenly all of my photos shifted into their correct folders.
Somehow Saving another picture fixed whatever the error was. In any case, thanks for the help everyone. If anyone else has this issue, try saving another photo to your camera roll.

  • I have iTunes 10.5 and a 4g iPod touch. WHen I upgraded to 5.01, my photos are not all in the correct folders. Any ideas?

When I load my photos on my 4g ipod touch with iOS 5.01, the photos are there but not all in the correct folders. How can I correct that?

I spent last week looking for a solution to that little yellow "!" needle haystack....
It is probably buried where nothing can touch or change it other than what I resorted to and would have saved time, clean install after I made sure to have two backup sets: Windows Easy Transfer plus Paragon clone OS and partitions to drive. Had to spend a full day reinstalling, updates, etc. Careful not to bring back any prefs or data that might be corrupt or wrong.
10.5 and iOS 5 on new iPod 4G works much better though and as they should and no issues like I had with AMS or other services or needing to restart first before launching iTunes.

  • Photos not loading correctly, distorted colors, lines, etc.

So, my wife's Macbook is having a problem... it will not load pictures correctly in iPhoto or from the Finder. to give you an idea of what the pictures look like, see here:
    http://photos-h.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v1949/149/17/633596272/n63359627222288712218.jpg
Every time you remove the drive/ camera it will change how messed up it is, and sometimes the pictures come through fine... it's not the camera, as we have tried her old and new camera, and it loads fine on another computer, just not on hers.
She's got a macbook loaded with the latest version of the OS with all the updates... she is running an old (5.5 I think) version of iphoto, which could be a problem, but it's hard to say because they load wrong even if you do not open iphoto... the only way I can get the pictures to load correctly on her computer is by opening them from the image capture application... they open fine inside the program, but once you download the images to the computer, they look messed up again, like in the linked photo...
It definitely seems like a software related issue, maybe an incompatible codec associated with iphoto, or something else...
I've tried trashing the iphoto prefs, and I don't know how long ago this started and AFAIK, there hasn't been any software installed that should create a conflict...
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!
    Will

I just moved quicktime components to the trash to where quicktime will not load or work at all,
What won’t “load or work at all”? Quicktime Player?
I don't think that all of the imaging on the computer goes through quicktime somehow, that is a bit ridiculous and far fetched to think that...
“ridiculous and far fetched”, like confusing QuickTime Player with the Quicktime technology? But what the heck, why don’t you explain to me how it all works then?

  • New Computer and New External Hard Drive - why do folders and photos not show up?

I replaced my desktop with a new laptop and external hard drive. I transferred photos from the desktop to the external hard drive. Lightroom 2 only shows the mapped hard drive, but does not show any folders or photos. Can Lightroom be set up to house all the photos on an external hard drive rather than using space on the internal laptop hard drive? Do the photos and folders need to be imported again into LR2? The photos are available for viewing when you search folders, but they open up in Photoshop not LR2.
What should I do to configure imports to be housed on the external hard drive? Is this wise? I will not be able to hold all the photos on the laptop internal hard drive. Photos used to be JPEG and DNG from D700. I am starting to see NEF. Does this replace DNG? Besides RAW I also need to have JPEG for other family members to access photos on other computers connected to the network. I am watching a tutorial DVD and slowly picking up how this all works. Let me know if I am not using the correct terms.
Hardware: HP laptop w/64bit, Buffalo 1TB RAID hard drive.

Lot's of questions here. I'll do a few.
Yes Lightroom can work with images on external drives. As many drives as you want.
I assume from what you said in your original post that you have had lightroom installed on the old desktop and now wish to transfer your catalogue and all files to the external drive and work from that.
So what you would do would be to transfer the entire contents of the lightroom folder on your old computer, except for any images, to the same location on your new laptop. This would include the catalogue files and any folders containing previews. Then you would copy all your image files to the new external hard drive. When you open lightroom you can then select the catalogue you copied from the old computer and open it. In the the folder pane in the library module you can then right click on one of the folders and select "locate missing files". Then you just need to point light room to the new location of your images. You may or may not need to regenerate all your previews.
I store all my images on external hard drives and I even run the catalogue and previews from the same external drives. I have backups of all my images of course. I have light room make backups of the catalogue to the C drive on my laptop so that the original and the backup are stored in different locations.
NEF is the proprietary file system for raw images used on Nikon cameras. DNG is a universal raw file format developed by Adobe. You can convert your files from NEF to DNG on import, but as Lightroom can read both types of files it is not necessary. At this point in time if you are using lightroom you should get similar results from either type of file.
To store imports on the new external drive you can you tell light room to copy the files to the new drive or you can manually copy the files to the new location and have light room import From the current location.
    Hope this helps

  • When I create a photo stream in ios6, everyone who is logged in to my iCloud account can see and edit my stream (on their iPhones only). Not just the email addressees that I sent the photo stream link to. Is that how photo stream security is meant to work

When I create a photo stream in ios6, everyone who is logged in to my iCloud account can see and edit my stream (on their iPhones only). Not just the email addressees that I sent the photo stream link to. Is that how photo stream security is meant to work? Is so it means my whole family can see any photo stream I set up. Hence no security? Can't share the pics with the wife then :(

The whole idea to an icloud account is that one user uses it and has all their devices synced together.  Different users need different Apple IDs to create their own icloud accounts.  Note that everyone can still use the same ID for an iTunes account (to share purchases).

  • Photos not synced correctly to iphone... Unorganized and out of order

After syncing my Iphone 4s with my macbook pro, all of my "Event" photos are out of order. If I open a specific event there will be photos that do not belong there and have no relation to that event... Same with the "faces" feature... I will specifically look for all pictures with "Mary's" face and majority of the pictures are other people with "Mary" not even in those pictures...
I have looked at my macbook and all of the photos seem to be correct on that and in the right locations... Not sure how to fix this problem or what to do :-/
This is a feature that I use constantly and would appreciate if someone could help guide me to correcting it....

    Hi Tasha48323,
If you are having issues with unusual or incorrect data after a recent sync with iTunes, you may want to turn off the sync options for Photos, click Apply (this should clear that data off the iPhone), then turn Photo syncing back on and Apply again (which should resync all the data back). You may find the Resolution section of the following article helpful (the article primarily concerns a slightly different issue, but the steps are the same):

  • How can I recover Photos, Notes and Calendar folders?

I have a brand new iPod and have apparently deleted the folders for Photos, Notes and Calendar so I can't sync these items up. (The folders don't appear anymore in iTunes or in Finder). Is there any way I can get those folders back or download them from somewhere?

In the Finder, open the iPod's icon on the desktop, and choose New Folder from the File menu; create and name new folders until you've recreated all of them.

  • Mac Pro not auto-negotiating link speed correctly

We have found that none of our Mac Pros are auto-negotiating their network link speed correctly while running 10.4.10. This happens while booted into the production OS as well as netbooted to a 10.4.10 NetBoot image. The network card can be forced to negotiate at higher speeds either through the command-line or System Preferences but it will not do it on its own. We have gigabit to every desktop and imaging at the default 10 Mbit is horrible! Any help would be appreciated!

There is a kext that is the culprit:
    /System/Library/Extensions/IONetworkingFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleIntel82 54XEthernet.kext
    In 10.4.9 it's version is 1.1.7a3, in 10.4.10 it is 1.1.8a2, in 10.4.11 it is 1.1.8a6
That doesn't matter much really, but that's the details.
    1. Get the 10.4.9 Intel Combo Updater
    2. Get OpenUp or Pacifist
    3. Open the DMG
    4. Show contents on the PKG
    5. Copy out the pax.gz file to the desktop
    6. un-Gzip the pax, and open that up (with Pacifist or OpenUp)
    7. Get the old kext
    8. Copy it into your /System/Library/Extentions
Now, the permission on the kext need to be changed to root:wheel or if you in Finder system:wheel
Also, you should either delete the kernel caches or:
    sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions
this changes the date stamp on the directory and OS X will recreate the kernel caches...
And yes, the 10.4.11 seed update corrects this.
    Also bonus Log files! These have been "prettied up" for readability, but you'll see, 10.4.10's driver is just spitting out Zer0s so the network switch/hub has no choice but to say "O K... I ' l l s p e a k s l o w e r t h e n..."
