Pse9 recently reinstalled. Tags are now in one long list. How are they put back in separate lists?

This is a windows 7 computer that was recently repaired Any help will be appreciated. There are about 25000 pictures and lots of different tags.

Toshiba tech services wanted everything taken off the computer, put it back to as new. I did a back up on my Click Free external h ard drive ( one tb) and shipped the computer to toshiba.. When it was returned to me it still didn't go on line, wouldn't connect.. My daughter stopped by, got the computer model number, Googled it, found the solution to the problem and fixed it. I then restored the backed up files after reinstalling pse9, The pictures are all there, with tags, the tag column had all the headings : people, places, events,but those lists were empty, There was one other heading; imported tags I clicked on that and a list came up that included the contents of everything in alphabetical order. I now need to separate the tags and put them back into their proper lists..
Is this scary or what?

You certainly could not have bought FCPX via itunes. It can only be purchased using the Mac App Store. If you are indeed looking in iTunes, you won't find it. Start the Mac App Store application - it is right there in the Apple menu on your mac = make sure you are logged in with the same Apple ID used to purchase it and it should be there for you.

Audiobooks, all items in one long list

On my I-pod classic I have 5 audiobooks. In I-tunes I see these 5 different books with their title etc. But when I want to listen to one of the books on my I-pod, I see one long list of the chapters of all five books, in alphabetical order. So finished 'reading' chapter 1, the next chapter may be from a different book. As said, in my I-tunes library every book can be seen separately. What can I do to solve this problem?

The Audiobooks feature was originally designed for books that have been stitched up into a single file and hasn't been updated to reflect the changes that make multi-track audiobooks easy to work with in iTunes. There are tools for creating iPod-friendly audiobooks for which Aldo on Audiobooks is probably the best reference. Personally I haven't bothered to make the extra effort and just have an "Audiobooks" playlist folder containing sub-folders for each author and within these playlists for each audiobook.

I'm sorry to hear that your iPhone 4s was lost, and glad that you were able to upgrade.
If your iPhone 4s was backed up to iCloud or using iTunes, you can restore the backed up data to your new phone.

What model HD are they putting in the new Mac Pro's?

What model hard drives are they putting in the new Mac Pro's? I need to purchase a second drive in anticipation of a 2.8 I'm ordering and I want to get the same brand and model.

Mine came with the Seagate ST3320820AS_P; however, WDs are also in the mix. And don't forget that the BTO options allow increasing drive size; those may be different makes as well.

FF 29 totally hosed the display of Care2, now just one long line, none of the normal UI appears, but does in all other browsers. Why?

The site now appears as one huge list, instead of the graphical interface that still works in all other browsers. I've had to revert to FF 28 where everything works fine. If there's a way to let me know when this is fixed, that would be nice. Else I'm staying with FF28 - even though it is so Chrome-like now, and I really don't like Chrome. I did miss the addon bar on the bottom with my Forecast Fox and other things handy.

No, it's not downgraded.
You can still enter the dimensions in pixels with the current dialog. Just check [ ] Resample and change the units to Pixels before entering the number. Voila.
The difference in the layout just takes a little getting used to, after which it becomes very natural to use. To me it seems more logical now than one in the old versions of Photoshop, and of course the new Preserve Details (enlargement) resampling setting is WELL worth having.

ITunes store pages formatting is one long list

The iTunes store some how is formated in plain html. Looks weird. The home has big pictures one after the other Then when you scroll down, the Music is a list of album picture and then a bullet list of the album name and the title. Something like the following:
Music
See All
[A picture of the album]
* Redemption Song (For Haiti Relief) [Live from Oprah] - Single
* Rihanna
[A picture of the album]
* Today Was a Fairytale - Single
* Taylor Swift
Everything has become a straight long list. My default browser is Chrome, it didn't help if I changed the default browser to firefox and rebooted. Not sure how to post a screen capture of what is happening. Hopefully somehow there are someone experienced this. Not sure if I put in the right keywords for searching, but wasn't able to find related issues.

Based on the iTunes.exe time stamp it's Oct 28, 2009 8:21PM ET. Funny thing is that the release date I can find on the web is Oct 30, 2009. Is that true?
Sometimes I see October 29 (Wikipedia for example). So when international date lines figure into things, I reckon you might well have got it on the day it was released (depending on where you are based).
So that timeframe looks right ... in the first days of the iTunes 9.0.2.25 installer, it contained an AAS 1.0.1 and a QuickTime 7.6.4. Then the Safari 4.0.4 installer (containing an AAS 1.1.0) came out on about 11 November. For a while I *really was* advocating a Safari 4.0.4 install to fix some other Store problems, because it was the only way to get an AAS 1.1.0 on the PC. (People used to look at me funny.) Then on about ... 18 November? QT 7.6.5 came out, and that version of QuickTime and AAS 1.1.0 got included in the iTunes 9.0.2.25 installer from then on.
My notes are a bit sketchy, but there was a hint that AAS 1.1.0 fixed some iPhone syncing trouble too. (I wasn't working on that much back then, though.)
But the important thing is that your Store is displaying properly again. (I'm glad it wasn't malware either ... my heart sank when that 306 code got mentioned.) Glad to have been of some accidental assistance, Alice!

Contacts seems to be one long list

Hi,
I'm slowly becoming functional on Mavericks ... Contacts is my next hurdle.
I've made a .abbu file and a vCards.vcf export file on my old iMac 10.6.8 and dragged them to the new Mac.
When I import either one into contacts I simply get one huge list rather than the sub groupings as were in the old Address Book.
Ideas?

Evidently, your groups didn't export and you will need to set them up again.

hook up your Toshiba USB external to your AIR.
Open the Toshiba and drag your file with photos back to a file on your Air.
A: are the files on the HD in a time machine backup? Or are they just stored there as archived data?
B: Can you or can you not access your HD when you hook same to your Air? ....or is the case that you cannot SEE to open it?

You shouldn't need the dng converter for the nikon d80 as camera raw 3.7 should open them.
In photoshop cs2 if you go to Help>About Plug-In>Camera Raw, what is the version?
Also, you need to unzip the camera raw 3.7 update and then copy the Camera Raw.8bi to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CS2\File Formats on a 64 bit windows 8 system
or
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CS2\File Formats on a 32 bit windows 8 system
