PSE9: Second 'My Pictures' gets created during Restore process

I'm running PSE9 on Win7.
I've been doing some Restore Catalogs to move my PSE from an old pc to this new one.
My old pc was Win XP.
I've noticed that the Restore process creates what looks like a second 'My Pictures' folder
in my folder structure. Inside this My Pictures there is an Adobe folder which has an Other Pictures folder.
All of these folders are empty.
All of my images go into a second 'My Pictures' folder. I'm puzzled why I'm getting this extra
My Pictures folder. I thought it might have something to do with Homegroup. The icon for the folder
looks a little different than the other folder. Anyway, I believe I have disabled the Homegroup feature.
Thanks for any help of advice!

OK.
It looks like it is something that comes with the Library support in Win7.
'My Pictures' seems to be a label. The actual directory node comes out
as 'Pictures'.
I removed the 'Public' directory from the Library for Pictures.
And customized the look of Windows Explorer so that I see what I want
to see now.
Thanks!

  • IPhone unplugged during Restore Process, PLEASE HELP Restore!

    Hi guys,
I was Restoring my original iPhone through iTunes and during this process my brother unplugged
    the iphone from iTunes.
Now, I've been trying to restore again but the iTunes has prompted a little window that says
"Waiting for iPhone". I left it plugged in all night with iTunes on my Mac but it's stuck on that same
    message.
Can someone please help me with this issue?
    Thanks so much,
    Z

Try placing your iPhone in recovery mode.
Turn off your iPhone by holding the "Sleep/Wake" button for about five seconds and then sliding the red slider. If your iPhone is already off, there's no need to turn it on and then off again.
Once it's turned off, press and hold the "Home" button and plug the iPhone into your Mac.Keep holding the "Home" button until you see a dock cable pointing to the iTunes icon. iPhones running older software will display a yellow triangle and text which says "Please Connect to iTunes". You can now release the Home button.
Open iTunes (if it's not already open) and you will be told that "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode". Click "OK" and you will be taken to the iPhone pane. Click restore.

Does anyone know why my one frame red flashes are being created during the transcode process of my DVD's? When i watch my files ready to create the DVD there are no red flashes and the file plays fine. When i create the DVD with menus etc and watch it back there are no red flashes and it plays fine. As soon as the file is transcoded, whether as part of the burning process, or during DVD creation, these one frame red flashes appear . I have watched the films on different players and they are burnt onto the final disc image. I have tried a whole host of transcode settings whether 1 pass cbr, 2 pass vbr, 25i or 25p, working to 4, 7 or 8MB. It does not make any difference. The red flashes persist!
    Any ideas?
    Cheers, Ruth

  • IPhone 3GS Restart During Restore Process

Hi, i have a 3gs 16gb, i have a problem since two days when i check safari, mail, msn just a moment after open the app this restart, and after 4 minutes restart alone, i think was a software problem and i restore today but when itunes was preparing the software to transfer on the iphone this restart again and appear wrong (9), but is recurrent, when i repit the process, just when itunes prepare the software to install this restart again...
please help me. i can solve that? or i need to go to technical assistance in my phone company?
    thanks...

You are not talking to Apple here, we are just users, and many will view another users problem and not respond because they have no idea what to say or do, However, according to Apple's support document regarding restore errors http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1275
    Error 9
This error occurs when the device unexpectedly loses its USB connection with iTunes. This can occur if the device is manually disconnected during the restore process. This issue can be resolved by performing USB troubleshooting, using a different USB dock-connector cable, trying another USB port, restoring on another computer, or by eliminating conflicts from third-party security software.

  • Picture gets "squeezed" during export

Hello: I'm new to Final Cut and am having trouble figuring out why when I export my movie using either quicktime or compressor, the end result is that the picture has black "columns" on the left and right of the picture, giving it a "squeezed" look. I'm trying to locate a place for settings for the export, but I'm not finding it and am afraid to mess anything up without first having a little guidance. Any that I can get would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks.

    no, thats not it.
what you're describing is a situation where you have taken a 4:3 clip and put it in a 16:9 anamorphic timeline ... then looked at the raw 4:3 output ie the 16:9 canvas image squeezed to its true 4:3 aspect ratio
16:9 anamorphic is not true 16:9 it is 4:3 that has been stretched horizontally at record/playback to look like it is 16:9... when you view it in its raw 4:3 state you will get the sqeezing that you describe.
now, i'm not meaning to say that you have necessarily done any of the above, only that this is how one arrives at the condition you are seeing, and that somewhere along the line the settings have gotten confused either in fcp, quicktime, compresor or dvdsp

  • Line item for cenvat clearing not getting created during miro

    Hi all,
I'm in ECC 5.0. I've carried out the CIN configuration. But I am facing the following problem.
PO created for raw material. GR posted and the accounting document postings show correct figures against Stock A/c and GR/IR Account. The Part II posting also show correct figures against Cenvat A/c and Cenvat Clearing A/c. However, when I'm doing MIRO, the Cenvat Clearing A/c line item is missing. Line Items are created for Vendor Payable, GR/IR Account and Sales Tax and all these figures are correct. Only Cenvat Clearing A/c Line item is missing.
    Please help
    - Saleel

    Hi SP,
thanx for your reply. However, the tick is already there in the separate line item and also, all Excise Transactions have been maintained. Excise Accounts and G/L Accounts for all Excise transactions have already been assigned. I guess the problem is somewhere else. Can u  plz throw some light? I'm in implementation project and stuck up coz of this. Need help urgently.
    Regards,

  • Lost pictures and documents in restore process

    pavilion g7
can this data be recovered by another restore or some other method?

    Hi
You have a couple of options as I see it.
Try using data recovery software to get the pictures back Or if you are not aware of it you can take to any local store and get you data back.
Did you do a system restore Or system recovery
If you have done a system restore then go back to system restore option and revert it back to the same date that should work out for you.
If you have done a recovery you need to use any data recovery software or take to Local technician and get your data back.

  • HT201412 Held Sleep & Home buttons on my iPod Touch (1st Gen.) during restoration process, now won't turn back on. What can I do myself to fix this? Thank!

In short, I was accidentally restoring/resetting my 1st generaton iPod Touch and I wanted to quickly get out of that, so I rebooted as you all know is that I held the Sleep and Home buttons together, and now, it doesn't want to turn on at all! When I try to turn on, only the "Apple" symbol appears ad disappears, goes back off, no power, after a few seconds. Any heard of this or experienced something similar? Anyone know any tricks if so? And, no, I have no time to go to AppleCare, especially since it's an outdated, 1st genration iPod Touch, and for that I feel no need to make an urgent appointment to them. I appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Iphone cannot connect to server during restore process?

I am trying to restore my iphone 4s (bought off a friend but reset to original settings) from an old iphone 3g back up. I've been following this process:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2109
and got up to step 4, but after I enter my icloud details (which are correct, I've triple checked!) and accepted the terms and conditions, the phone cant get passed this step as it "cannot connect to the server"? I currently have it attached to my mac book and there is full wifi.
    help!

    That message can be for a varitey of things, not limited to but including;
Failure to connect between the carrier's activation server and the Apple activation server.
Failure to connect between the Apple activation server and your internet source.
Failure to connect between the internet source (cable) and the WiFi router.
Failure to connect between the WiFi router and the device itself.
You choice is to either troubleshoot or wait it out.

  • ITunes is frozen during restore process. HELP!

I tried to update my iPhone 4 to the most recent iOS software and it would not work.  I backed everything up and then tried to restore my phone.  Now iTunes is frozen, the status bar is not moving any longer and it's not done.  What do I do now?

Reset, hold both Home and Power buttons until the iPhone begins to start, this usually takes about 10 seconds of holding both buttons. If not working, then reboot computer. Open iTunes on computer. Then connect iPhone to computer with USB Cable. Then hold both Home and Power buttons until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode. This usually takes about 20 seconds of holding both buttons. Click the Restore Button of iTunes.

  • What do I do when iTunes doesn't open during restoring process for an ipod?

I am following the prompts for restoring an ipod with a forgotten password. I have connected the usb cable to my computer and the usb and iTunes symbols appear but nothing else is happening. What do i do now?

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

    For how to restore:
    iTunes: Restoring iOS software
    To restore from backup see:
    iOS: How to back up
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
