PSE9 trial copy on Mac Intel w VST Loading Crash

Would appreciate any available help to solve my problem. The program fails to load--receive the log which lists an Amplitube vst. I removed this vst from my apps and no luck. Is there a work around? I was hoping it would say it couldn't load it and move on but no luck. Thanks for any ideas.

Try resetting the PSE preferences by
   1. Close Elements.
   2. Launch the Photoshop Elements Welcome Screen and hold down cmd+ alt + shift as you click Edit.
   3. Continue to hold the keys until you see a message box asking if you want to delete Photoshop Elements settings file; click Yes. Elements will open with default preferences.
In case any network printer is attached try to launch without network or printer uninstall.

Abap Trial on a Mac (Intel)

Just a little note here to those who've got the Intel powered Mac's.
You can use Parallels ( a much cheaper option than VMWARE workstation) to create a Windows VM and then you can install the Abap trial. (Or the Java trials).
I'm mentioning this as people on this board seem to be quite familiar with the concept of Virtual Machines.
The Parallels product works on the Mac OS-X (Intel based) and loads Windows VM's up just fine.
Just including this as there are quite a few people who like Macs and possibly don't realize you can run Windows on them.

and activate with your serial number.
if you have a problem downloading, you didn't follow all 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.
the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).
failure to obtain that cookie results in an error page being displayed after clicking a link on prodesigntools.com

PSE9 trial instal rolls back

I have a Windows 7 64 bit SP1 operating system and easiliy meet all the requirements to install PSE9 trial. I have tried many times to instal a trial version of PSE9. Each time it nearly installs then rolls back and leves the following message:
"Application failed to install Shared technologies"
I have viewed some threads and visited the adobe site and tried to do what was recommended. I installed the adobe support advisor which advised me:
"The inspection found an issue but cannot determine the cause or corrective action."
I followed the prompts and ended up with a token no : 00-66295-214328052011 for an adobe support case but I don't even know what this is or means. I have a log of the failed installartion but am unable to copy it to this duscussion.
Can any members assist me with this problem. I have researched what I can from adobe and discussions but I am now only getting frustrated.

Restart your machine
open Control panel Uninstall/Install and check if any entry related to PSE9 exists there , if yes Uninstall it.
Also, goto location C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe delete Elements Organizer and Photoshop Elements folders from there, If unable to delete, again restart the machine.
Now Try to Install the application

Encoder optimized for mac intel?

Flash 8 video encoder on current mac machines with intel
processors seems 6 times slower than on a pc - it's not optimized
at all for mac intel.
Has anyone done perfomance tests with the new encoder? mac
intel for now is not mentioned anywhere on Flash CS3 product
pages.

I've just downloaded the flash cs3 trial to try out the new
encoder.
Although it looks like it is intel (you can use flv.component
with intel quicktime pro/final cut export) it is only using one
core.
I did a quick test of a 2 min 720p hd file and it took more
than 15 minutes to encode. CPU was only showing 1 core active, that
was on 2ghz core 2 duo. Ill try it later on a G5 but if its not
using the other cores I cant see it being much better.
I was hoping it would be faster, i've tried ffmpeg &
thats no better.
Anyone tried through parallels - is windows quicker?

Lost trial PSE11 after running Recover which took me back to a date prior to downloading trial copy.

I was running PSE9 but it wouldn't Create A New Folder. Decided to try trial of PSE11 but when I finished installing it I still could not Create A New Folder. I decided to Restore to earlier date (5/9/13), after Restore on PSE9 I could now Create a new Folder but I no longer could access PSE11. I tried to download trial again to Restore date but couldn't download it again. I now am running PSE9 and can Create new folders but I no longer have access to PSE11. I am running Windows 7. Is there some way I can reload the trial copy of PSE11?

What I got from your post is that: afer restoring system to a back date, PSE11 is no longer accessible. Well this is how windows restore functionality works. To use PSE11 again you need to download it again (if not present in downloads folder) and install it again. Please let me know if you face any issues.

I have had to erase my disk since then with trouble with Apple Store not recognising my machine and the reload from Time Machine has given complications . Can you please cancel my trial and return my Trial money.

IPhone no longer can sync with iTunes on Mac Intel Mini

I have an original iPhone (not 3G). It was working fine until today. Today when I booted my mac mini, Software update said that there was an iTunes update. I downloaded and installed version 8.2 of iTunes. When I connected my iPhone to my mac mini (Intel running 10.4.11), which is what I use to sync my iPhone, iTunes didn't see it. It was as if the iPhone wasn't connected to the mac.
I thought maybe it was the cable. So, I switched cables. It still didn't sync (or even see the iPhone).
I have been charging my iPhone using a wall adapter, so I tried both cables with the wall adapter. The iPhone charged just fine using both cables.
I used the cables and tried to sync my iPod Classic (120GB) with iTunes. I can sync my iPod Classic with iTunes just fine with either cable.
I have an 17" Powerbook G4 running 10.5.7 and I thought I'd try to see if it could see the iPhone. The Powerbook is running iTunes 8.1.1, I haven't upgraded it yet. I was able to see the iPhone and I could try to sync, but the iPhone isn't sync'ed with that iTunes library so the sync doesn't do anything, but at least the Powerbook sees the iPhone and connects with it (and iTunes sees the iPhone as well).
I'm upgrading to iTunes 8.2 to see if the Powerbook can still see the iPhone (just seeing if it was the iTunes upgrade that broke the iPhone sync). Well, the upgrade on the powerbook didn't seem to hurt its ability to see the iPhone.
I'm back at square one. My mac Intel mini running 10.4.11 can't see my iPhone and nothing I do seems to help it see the iPhone, but I can sync my ipod classic using the same cable.
I'm now wondering if there is something wrong with the iPhone. Has anyone else seen this problem?

Sometimes a glitch can happen with an itunes upgrade that can cause itunes to no longer recognize your iphone. If you have already tried to restart your computer and tried different usb ports, I would try this:

As you need to be on 10.6 to be able access the App Store to download Lion, either get replacement discs via Applecare (you'll need the MBP's serial number to get the right ones) or get the SL retail disc. I would recommend the Original disc replacement set (assuming they were 10.6) as they carry not onlyApple Hardware Test for your model, but the iLife apps other bundled sftware that isn't on the retail disc.
Once you've installed, and used Software Update to get to 10.6.8, you can then get Lion if you're feeling masochistic.

So i don't have a Macpowerbook and i have a copy of mac osx tiger. It was originally my mom's dad's. How ever he has passed away and my mom's mom wants us to sell the osx tiger. What should i do?

If it is a grey colored disc then it is machine specific and only useful to somebody who has the machine model for which it was made. If it is black then it is a retail install disc.
2 years ago you could have sold a retail disc at a premium price. Now I am not so sure. Tiger is now 4th generation behind Lion, Snow Leopard and Leopard. Apple stopped supporting Tiger years ago and fewer and fewer other software packages are being issued that still run on Tiger. Firefox stopped supporting Tiger, Flash (used on just about every web site out there) is no longer being updated, etc. I think the writing is on the wall. One of my favorite web sites that uses Flash stopped working for me yesterday.
A machine specific disc is really handy for somebody who has that machine and completely useless to anybody who doesn't.
The best thing to do is go on e-bay and see what is actually being paid (not asked) for Tiger, remembering to make sure it matches the copy you have. If you do decide to sell it, make sure you tell the purchaser exactly which model disc it is. We've seen many people on here who bought a disc only to find it wouldn't install on their computer.
