why does a p status fail or other error message show up everytime i try to watch a movie

Thanks, I sent their support an e-mail about it as well, but have not heard back yet. I was wondering if anyone else was having this problem or is it limited to me.

I am trying to play my movies through Flixster and when I try to watch, Flixster comes back with an error that it cannot play on a rooted device. The device is not rooted and never has been. Persistent problems may indicate a network issue such as interference locally or a slow download speed from your service provider. Try the restarts and see if that helps.

For other people that view this discussion, after a couple of days of trying things and then viewing a couple of other discussions, what worked for me was uninstalling my Silverlight and then reinstalling it. KeyNote error when trying to advance QT movie in presenter mode

KeyNote goes into black and force restart when trying to advance QT movie in presenter mode.

the video does play when KeyNote is not in presenter mode.
Sorry, I need to check were talking about the same thing, my use of the term 'presenter mode' was a bit vague.
Can you confirm the circumstanses when the video runs correctly?
click on the play button in the tool bar
if you double click the video in the canvas window
select "use alternate display to view presenter information" in Keynote preferences and you press play button in the tool bar
deselect "use alternate display to view presenter information" in Keynote preferences and you press play button in the tool bar

I get a black screen when trying to watch a movie on itunes

I have a laptop that I take to work. I am a teacher at a school. When using my school internet, I am able to see my movies in itunes. But, when I take my laptop home and use my internet, I get a black screen when trying to view a movie.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Make sure that you allow pages to choose their colors and that you haven't enabled High Contrast in the Accessibility settings.

Hi after receiving an I Pad air for Xmas I rented a movie to watch on a plane but when I tried to watch it an error code-12894 appeared,I did not get to watch it so lost it.I,m going away again but am reluctant to rent another film incase the same thing happens any suggestions?

When I try and watch either a movie or a TV show I've purchased iTunes gives me the error below,
I haven't set up a new Apple ID and the content I'm trying to watch is from the Apple ID I've always used. Any ideas on how to get these items to play?

MSI Fail error when trying to unininstall VMWare Player 7.

I downloaded the trial version of VMWare Workstation 11. When I do the install it tries to uninstall VMWare Player 7. The uninstall fails with the cryptic error message 'MSI Fail.'
I've found various articles about this around the web and even tried a few 'solutions' to no avail. Is there a sure fire way to uninstall the Player so I can try the Workstation?

I already found the link you posted and followed it but the player is still on my system so VMW still wants to uninstall it and I get the msi fail error. I also tried the manual removal and that didn't work. In fact I wound up breaking some non vmware stuff. Thank heaven for disk images.
Also, the article mentions the file VMware_Install_Cleaner.zip but I can't seem to find it. Is this something that might work to clear up the problem? Too bad I can't just reinstall the player but there is no option for that. I tried a repair but that was a no go too. Also tried deleting files from my Temp folder which some folks claim worked for them.
Also ran the MSI fixit program from MS and while it said it fixed some things about the Player I still couldn't install VMW.

Format Failed error when trying to format a WD MyBook 1TB external

I have tried twice to format the drive with the same "Format Failed" error message. I know it was still formatting with 28 minutes remaining (of the 7 hour format job) the first time - the second time it ran over night. Both times, I formatted with Mac OS Extended (journaled), and selected to zero out the data.
The only difference between the two attempts was a message reporting the Mac lost connection with the drive (after the first attempt) - didn't see any such message this morning after the second attempt.
I set a couple partitions, and ran "Disk Verify".
"DIsk Verify" lists the things it has checked, and gives the following messages:
The volume Startup Backup appears to be OK.
The volume Time Machine appears to be OK.
Other than the "Format Failed" error message, the disk appears to be ok. The "Startup Backup" volume is 319.87 GB as I set, and the "Time Machine" volume is 611.64 GB
I am able to copy a file to both volumes.
So, is the "Format Failed" error message real, and the "Disk Verify" fails to see a problem because it is checking things like the Catalog file, and not each spot on the drive?
Are there any disk utilities that can test the whole drive?

I have bought on the iTunes Store the second season of Star Trek: The original series. I do not have enough storage on my iPad to download all of the episodes, but I should be able to watch them while they are still on iCloud, provided that I am connected to the internet. I have already watched several movies I had bough via iTunes in the same fashion.
But when I try to watch any episode of this second season, either the video takes a very long time to load and then freezes every five seconds, then three, etc. until it stops completely, or it takes a very long time to load and doesn't load, and I get instead an error message saying The video could not be loaded due to an unknown error (-12160).
Anyone has an idea how I might watch those videos?

"Call Fail" error when trying to make out calls.

Hi, I'm on iPhone 4S with iOS 6.1.3 . Recently I've been experiencing this problem of doing outgoing calls. It keeps on having this "CALL FAILED" error. Previously it sometimes came but went back normal after an hour and I thought It might be caused by my network carrier . But its been 4 days now. Do take note that Im still be able to receive all incoming calls, SMS, Apps Messaging as well internet surfing & others. Pls guys help me to resolve this issue. Tq.
