Psu power outputs

Hi all
I was just wondering how i tell what the power output readings are taken (without a multi meter as i lost mine ages ago)im running pc alert4 and know the program doesnt read temps well but what it does say is
Vcore 1.78
3.3v 3.26-3.28v
+5v 4.89v
12v  11.46-11.48v
do these seem ok as im keeping tabs on my cheap psu as my last one was murder.
its also says 28c cpu and 36-38c sys which is tallying with bios so it doesnt appear to do to bad a reading temps from what i heard pc alert sucked :D

  • How to adjust power output of time capsule

I was told that the power output of the time capsule is adjustable and that Apple does not ship the units at full power. Is this correct?

All of them are defaulted to 100%.. and you cannot adjust the actual power output.. You can reduce the wireless in steps of 25%.
Click on Transmit power.. you are offered.. 10% 25% 50% 75% and 100%. Yet to see anyone set to a lower value.. their wireless output is to be frank.. low.. at the best of time.
Max wireless output is regulated in different markets.. so each TC is set to a region to ensure it complies to local regs. And you cannot change the region (you can change between a few countries in a region.. like european ones.. but all follow Euro ETSI codes) on a TC .. it is locked into firmware.

  • How do I get the 600 ex-rt off of ratios and put in power output?

I can't find it anywhere in my manual or the custom functions. For instance, it is showing the ratio of 1:4 instead of the power  output of 1/4 power.
I am using a Mark III.
    Thank you!

You have to put it in manual mode, instead of eTTL.

  • Can setting power output level at 65mw cause a one year old router to fail?

Recently my router WRT54GS v2.1 that is only one year old but has been in 24/7 service failed and the technician that worked on it said the failure was probably due to the power output level being set at 65mw and other firmware settings ( particulars available ) that had been used but were working fine to provide wireless service. The output was fed to a Smart Amp 500mw power amplifier with Automatic Gain Control then through 30 feet of 400 cable to an Omni-directional 14 dbi antenna. Coincidentally the power amp seemed to fail at the same time. The maximum input to the Smart Amp which has AGC is 23dBm (200mw) max. Is it possible that the firmware configuration and the 65mw setting were responsible for the failure of either or both devices?

If the ABS and Router/Modem are both giving IP Addresses out, (that's what tells everything on the Network where to send/get stuff to/from), then everything gets confused... a bit like trying to get US Mail delivered when your street has 2 names, and your abode has the same address as other houses on the block!
You just want the ABS to pass on the IP addies that the Router hands out, and not try to do it itself.
If your base station is connected to a router or other network device that is using NAT to share a single Internet connection with multiple computers on your network, and you are using DHCP to provide private IP addresses, you need to turn off NAT and DHCP on the AirPort base station.
Most networks need only one device using NAT and DHCP to provide IP addresses.
To turn off NAT and DHCP:
Open AirPort Admin Utility, select your base station, and click Configure.
Click Network and deselect the "Distribute IP addresses" checkbox.
If your base station supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), by default the "Distribute IP addresses" checkbox is not selected, and the base station is not using NAT or DHCP.
With NAT and DHCP turned off, the base station acts as a simple bridge between the wired and wireless computers on the network.

  • What is the AE's power output in watts?

    Hello!
I've been unable to find out what the Airport Extreme's power output (not consumption) is in watts.
This spec isn't on Apple's page of AE tech specs.
Can anyone tell me and give me a source link?
    Thank you!

"nominal" would be an average reading over a number of different distances. Readings would be somewhat higher if a computer were close to the router, and obviously somewhat less if the signal has to pass through 3-4 walls.
The figure doesn't really tell you very much since there really is no way to accurately predict wireless performance in advance in any given situation due to all the variables involved.

  • Why does music differ in quality between devices,do ipod classic/iphone/macbook and nano have different power output ratings

Why does my music sound so differant on seperate devices ?.
same song differs in quality between ipod classic , nano , macbook and ipad.
do the devices have power output ratings if so is one more powerful than the other ?.
same song , same headphones all downloaded from the same source

Doesn't anybody have any ideas why diagnostics say "no universal serial bus controller found" and yet founds connected device information just fine?
IPod and iPhone appears in itunes and device manager with no problem, but syncing stops with error everytime.
Do you think that this would be an issue with: ITunes, Windows 8 or Asus Maximus V Formula motherboard?
Am I right, that diagnostics should find universal serial bus controller even though there was nothing attach to it?
Am I alone with this problem?
I have also iPod 4gb and iPod 8gb, which shows in itunes, but I'm affraid to sync them if those stops same way.

  • Changing power output for Airport Extreme Card

How do you change the power output for the Airport Extreme Card? Is there a program that I can download to change airport's settings or the Airport Extreme Card's settings?
i.e. If the default power output for the Airport Extreme Card is 18mW, I would like to increase it to 25mW.

There is no way for a user to control the power output of the AirPort Extreme card.
Furthermore if the card was manufactured to output 18mW there is no magical way to increase it's physical ability so it can output more power.

  • Weak Power Output - WRT54G v5

I have recently bought a WRT54G v5. The power output is weak. I can barely get a signal (sometimes no signal) with my router only about 80 feet away, with two walls in the way. The router is set on top of a bookcase near the ceiling and my computer is on top of my desk.
I believe I can get a better signal if I can increase the power output, but v5 has no third party firmware that can do this. Is there any way I can increase the power output or get rid of VxWorks for Linux?

Try to use a compatible Signal Booster/Range Expander

  • Enough PSU Power or Not?

In my quest for overclocked 3.5g i get into win7 just fine, but when i run prime it will blue screen and reboot in 3 minutes of test as I could use it at that speed but when i put many task on it it will do the same and reboot. So far i only could get to 3315 stable
Could this be the problem not enough amp on the 12v

Corsair is better choice than any of the others you mention and outdo the others in power also when comparing by watts. I mean look at the Ultra, it takes a 550W to have the same +12V~30A as the Corsair CX400W +12V~30A. You've got to be willing to spend a few extra $$ to get something that will last a long time.
The only reason I have an Ultra is it was given to me no cost.

  • Graphics Power output through Thunderbolt/Displayport?

I'm considering connecting my 2011 iMac 27" to my HDTV via Thunderbolt/Displayport to HDMI adapter to try some HTPC-style gaming.  If I do this, will I be fully  utilizing the 6970m's graphics power to output to the HDTV, or will performance suffer?  What can I do to ensure I'm getting equal or better (being that resolution will be lower on the HDTV vs the 27" iMac) performance output to my TV compared to playing it directly on the iMac?
    Info:
    2011 iMac 27"
    Quad-core i5 @ 3.1ghz
    16gb RAM
    240gb Vertex 3 SSD
Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit via Bootcamp, (but I have games on both platforms)
    Thunderbolt port>adapter>HDMI cable>Reciever>TV

So the thunderbolt/displayport is/can be a true extension of the 6970's video output just like a second output on a traditional graphics card?  I'm still trying to wrap my head around Apple's design logic...

  • D10 power help -- psu power supply 10-pin power adapter

i have a d10 motherboard, and i've fit it into an intel server chassis.
the PSU installed has an aux-power adapter, but it is a 4-pin used for intel server boards.
i need to convert some of the extra cables from the PSU in my chassis to work with the 10-pin connector on the motherboard (next to the 24-pin connector).
if someone could help me out and maybe provide me with adapter information, voltage information, any information.....that would be a great help.  a diagram of sorts would be greatly appreciated.  or maybe even a picture of the actual 10-pin cable going from the PSU to the motherboard??
    thank you!!

    Hi
Yeah take the MB out of case and plug in only: CPU, PSU, 1 Memory stick (to secend slot from CPU) and monitor to MB back.
If it dont boot up after that and show error for not finding KB, then what code it has on debug led?
    Hope this helps  Cheers Mummy
Disconnected everything from motherboard except CPU + cooler & second RAM DIMM, set it on a cardboard box, plugged in 20+4 main power connector and the 8 and 4+4 CPU power connectors, then tried powering up again. Couldn't connect a display because I don't have an HDMI display handy - but I figure that doesn't matter much if power isn't even on long enough for BIOS to begin loading anyway. Nothing new happened. Unfortunately, a debug code never comes up.

  • Transmission power output settings

    Dear all,
Does anyone know if there is a way to control wi-fi output transmission power on MacBook Pro? Some sort of direct driver control/sysctl/anything else?
    Thanks!

Please look at the Tech Specs posted on Apple's website, if the information you are asking about isn't posted then Apple does not publish it to the general public.

  • Tri-Fire 290X Lightning PSU power

    Hi Guys,
I'm new to this Forum over here at MSI, and I'm wondering if any1 could help me with my need
I need to know how much power three 290X Lightnings would consume and what monster of a PSU I'm gonna need for it,...
I already ordered the third GPU with another waterbock.
The deal is this, when I'm benching my system power draw is 1070W (measured @ wall), so there is absolute NO headroom for a third GPU with this PSU -.-
Now i need to know how much power a third OC'd lightning would need, because I don't want to buy a 1500W PSU if a 1350W would also be fine,... (Quad-fire will never happen   )
Has anyone experience with three Lightnings and their power consumption?
    My current setup:
    i7- 3930K @ 4,5Ghz @ 1,29V
    2x 8 GB Corsair Dominator Plats 1866 @ 2000 MHz
    2x 290X Lightning CF @ 1150/1650 -24/7 stable
    ASUS Rampage IV Extreme
    3xSSD
    1xHDD
    Corsiar HX1050 PSU
    Cooling:
    1x Aquacompuer aquaduct 360XT with 3x120mm fans @1200RPM
    1x MO-RA 1280 Rad with 9x140mm fans @800 RPM
    1x EKWB CPU Block
    2x EKWB Lightning Block
    1x EKWB 3-Way GPU Bridge
    Many thanks in advance
    e4gle

A system with a single reference design R9-290X requires 33A and a 600W psu. For a Lightning make it 40A and a 600W. Any further Lightning will add 20A more. A psu for triple Crossfire with 290X Lightnings should therefor offer 80A and 1000W minimum. The Corsiar HX1050 is therefor on the edge of it's possibilities but should work if no excessive oc is planned.
