PT 8.51 installation issue - Insert New Media (Disk2) from browse button

Hi,
I'm trying to install PT 8.51 on win, I extract disk1, disk2 & disk3 on PS_INSTALL directory.
The install from disk1 is well-done, to get extract from disk2 i use the browse button, the PT installer didn't get it.
Message "Please insert the New media ....."
Any help would be welcome

What is the exact folder path you're extracting things to? I know that the setup.bat file in the disk1 directory doesn't like spaces in the path to the directory. If you extract the disk 1, disk 2 and disk 3 in for example C:\PSINSTALL\disk1 (and disk 2 etc.) you should be able to run the setup.bat. When you run the setup.bat you don't have to select the next disk, the installation will pick it up automatically.
If you still want to select it manually I think you have to select the parent folder instead of the disk 2 or 3. If you select the disk 2 or 3 folder the installation will not pick it up for some strange reason.

Hello technical support, I recently bought a XFI Fatality sound card on 0/07 and recieved it 0/0. I didnt use the drivers on the CD, instead i went on the website and download the drivers their for my sound card, since I figured that the ones on the CD are old. My sound seems to be working fine and great, but every time, I log on, a message pops up saying new hardware found. But I has sound and everything is installed for the sound card. I removed my old Realtek and cleaned the drivers out for a complete fresh install of the XFI sound card drivers. So my problem is that it that a "NEW HARDWARE FOUND" comes up, and in my device manager their is a question mark with an exclamation point which says multimedia audio controller. How do I fix this?

Did you disable your onboard Realtek in the BIOS? If you just removed it from the Device Manager, it'll keep coming back.
Also, is your X-fi working? Have proper sound?

More Than One Hour Footage Audio Rendering Issue in Adobe Media Encoder (from AE)

Hi every one,
I'm having a render issue when I send an After Effects composition longer than 1 hour to Adobe Media Encoder for encoding H264 files. In this case, I'm trying to render an already rendered 70 min. 23,976 fps DPX sequence paired with a corresponding ".wav" audio file into the composition and the H264 file rendered by AME plays silent for the first 10 minutes and past those 10 "silent" minutes the audio comes back normally during the last 59 min and 59 sec exactly.
I've tryed every posible "solution" (changing the audio file from .wav to .aiff and .mp3) and assigning more ram to Adobe Media Encoder and it renders the same every single time.
Please Help!!!!

If you can't track down the audio problems some other way you have two options. Render to a production codec in AE then compress your production master in AME or tender only your subtitles (or use dynamic link) to a lossless with alpha format in AE and marry them to the original video and audio in PPro.
Actually, the first thing I would have tried when audio problems showed up would have been to render a production master using a visually lossless format like QuickTime JPEG 2000 and then compressed in the AME.

ZR-20 Issues & The New HardDrive Cameras from JVC

Two questions: Why does the ZR10 remain compatible with the program, but the ZR20 not? What is with that?? The school I teach at has only four cameras, two of which are ZR20s, so we only have two cameras that will work with the system.
Also, I might be interested in the new JVC HardDrive cameras for my classes, as the import issue would be very very fast compared to real-time importing. Do these work with FCE? FCP? iMovie? In your oppinion, would this be a good investment?

I've always used Canon, and the school (this is my first year) always has as well, but I am definately interested in the best buy - not just the one I'm comfortable with. I've seen that JVCs might not be as compatible as the others, although I do like their new HD offerings.
Any suggestions on models to buy? We have a bit of money, although not much, so cost is important, as well as an external mic input, since we try to use booms in our projects.
Also, I had misread your earlier question regarding model numbers: The JVC model number is: GZ-MG30 It seems about twice as expensive as a regular camera with similar features, but if it saves time from importing, and is more reliable than tape, especially with less moving parts (which studetns tend to mess up real quick), it might be a better idea. I'm not 100% sure how it works with the system, however.

CRM 5.0 ISA insert new price condition from order entry screen

In CRM 4.0 we wrote a custom field on the order entry screen that shows the list price (sub 1), we allow the user to change this value (inserts a PB00 price condition in the item pricing) and validates the change is within a certain % of the list price.
The jco method we used in 4.0 no longer exist in 5.0, been using the 55 page IPC VMC PDF in note 809820 but still can't figure out how to replicate.
Any help on what class / method might help us insert a manual price condition from ISA would be appreciated.

White spaces issue when applet is launched from Browser

I am trying to open HTML file (generated by net beans) to launch applet using window.open function.
The applet is launching fine but white spaces are coming on top and left side of the applet.
Any idea on how to remove these white spaces?

You need a custom html template and to set the application size parameters to 100% width and height.
Not sure if this is possible using the NetBeans JavaFX project configuration options currently.

ODI - SCD Type 2 - Insert new row error

Hi All,
For Dimension I have a surrogate key, a natural key, and a column with "overwrite on change", start_date, end_date, current_record_ind. When I run the interface with the default SCD Type 2 for SQl server, this runs fine. But when I change that one column from "overwrite on change" to "insert new row", it fails on the update step. What should I be looking for anf fixing.

Problem with inserting new records in Oracle Forms

I am a new user to Oracle Forms and I need a help from you people. The problem is as follows:
I have a data block in which I can display a number of records. In this data block the user will be able to edit the fields if no child records are found in another table. I have used when-new-record-instance to attain this scenario. All are text items. One item licensee_id which is made invisible by setting the property in property palette and required=no ( as this is the primary key of the table). Also the audit columns are made invisible.
The code for it is as follows:

Every thing is compiling fine but at the run time when I am trying to insert a new record I am receiving the following error:
FRM-40508:ORACLE error:unable to insert record
I also think the pre-insert record is not firing at the time of inserting a new record and saving it. So I request you to please delve into this problem and suggest me how to overcome this problem. Code snippets would do more help for me. If you need any other things from me please let me know. I will see if I could be of any help in that concern because I may not be able to send the entire form as it is.

pre-insert fires after the implicit/explicit commit/commit_form is issued and before the real insert is submitted to the db.
i would suggest to remove the error handling part for the moment
because i believe you might be getting "ora-xxxx cannot insert null"
and also make visible the primary column to check if the pre-insert is executed.
it would be better to make visible for a while the not null columns of the table/block
i suppose that the block is insert allowed and you are using table as the source of the block and not any procedures or something...

The iPhone is not a backup device.
Restore the iTunes library from the backup that should be kept of your media and other important files.
Syncing the iPhone to a new library (in this case, it will be a new library unless you have a complete backup of the iTunes folder pre-crash) will result in the media on the device being removed and replaced with content from the new library.
As for iOS5, we really do not know until Apple officially releases it.

I have two lines to print.
out.println("Available number of columns="+cols);
out.println("Number of columns must be present=10");My problem is:
i want both the lines to be printed one below the other. But, it is displayed in one single line.....
Can anyone please tell me how to insert new line character?
I tried with \n, '\n' and \r\n but, in vain......

You should never use "\n" directly.
The line separator character is different on different operating systems.
And putting quotes around it in your string will make absolutely no difference in the JSP.
To find out what the line separator is you should use System.getProperty("line.separator");
The JSPWriter and PrintWriter classes will automatically use this property with a println statement, so a println will always finish with a line separator.
The issue here was that HTML by default ignores all whitespace.
The solutions provided
- use a <br> tag instead of a carriage return
- use <pre> tags, which tells the browser not to ignore whitespace. That can be troublesome in JSP which generates a lot of extraneous carriage returns into the code.
