PT 880 neo shuts down randomly and wont reboot.
Hi I have a major problem here. My computer will randomly shut down and then try and re-boot, the only thing is that it wont... it wont even load the bios, it just sits there with a black screen. To make it boot again I have to take the Ram out or video card, push power turn it off and plug the ram or video card back in. Then it will boot up fine. That is untill it will do the same thing and just randomly shut down. Sometimes it will be days and somtimes its minuts between this procces. I have the latest 1.8 bios and My pc used to run perfect, that is before I upgraded it.
My pc ran fine for about a month and then I upgraded some parts. DDR 2300 2x512 upgraded to DDr 3200 2x512 a 9800pro upgraded to 6800GT and a 3.06 northwood P$ upgraded to 3.2 Prescott P4.
My PSU is 50watt my mobo is pt880neo lsr.
MY brain is fryed and I dont know what is wrong! do I need a new mobo? new ram?
what is wrong I have never heard of such a wierd problem.
btw my ram is Geil value ram (its on the suported list)
Sombody please help me I am loosing my hair.
So far so good about ram voltage, but please spec. 3,3 / 5 /12v + Brand/model ( read from PSU label ).
values from bios/software reading is not always what the psu give under stress.
You may also need to run memtest86, to secure that memorymodules are fine.

S 4 Shuts down randomly and won't restart
Hello,
I brought and S 4 7/27 and loved it for the first few days. A few days later it started shutting down randomly and the only way to restart is to take the battery out. That works for an hour or so until it shuts down again. I've tried uninstalling all the apps I've installed but I still get the same result.
Any sugestions?
Thansk,
twinsfantwinsfan2013, the software for some 3rd party applications can affect the performance of your device. Although you've uninstalled a few application, the issue may still remain on your phone. I recommend that you back up your device at Verizon's cloud or Backup Assistance and then hard reset your phone if the power cycling issue persists. My ipad2 shut down randomly and than start. Problem is remain after reset. What is the solution.
You can try restoring your iPad as new using iTunes on your computer. This will load a new copy of the iOS software onto your iPad.
If this doesn't work you may have a hardware problem and will need to contact Apple Support. -

com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatform 1.8You have the mid-2010 problem. There's an issue with the graphics module on that machine. There was a program in place to replace the motherboard within 3 years of purchase, but you're probably outside of that. Some folks have supposedly gotten theirs changed outside of that period, so you can try.
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4088?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
What you can do to use it is download gfxcardstatus from http:gfx.io and force the graphics to Intel. That will lessen the panics at the expense of graphics speed.
You may be eligible for a depot repair, which is a flat rate of about $310. Ask at the Genius Bar. Take along a printout of your panic. -
My MacBook Pro Core Duo from 2006 shuts down randomly requiring frequent reboots to the point I had to abandon doing any project or anything on this MacBook Pro. Same thing occurs with the iMac dual core from 2007. MacBook battery replaced. Is it internal battery for both, new logic board required, bad hard drive, or bad RAM?
Help.Run an Apple Hardware Test using the original installation disk that has the AHT instructions on it.
Try SMC and PRAM resets:
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3964
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379
It is possible that you may need a new PRAM battery.

Shutting down randomly and racing motor when trying to restart
Hello,
Having a couple of ongoing issues with my G5. The first one is that it is shutting down randomly. If I'm in the room when it happens, it will emit a couple of clicking sounds then shut off. This just happened and I lost some work on Final Cut as I had not time to save it.
The second issue is when I try to re-start it the motor just gradually builds until it is roaring a bit. I then hit the button to shut it off. Wait about 15 minutes and then turn it on.
I'm wondering if there is anything I can do to correct these issue on my own.
Appreciate any help.
Thanks,
JohnHi John, have you blown the dust out lately, or if liquid cooled looked for leaks.corrosion?

Ever since I upgraded my MacBook to Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.4 from Tiger (and also purchased and installed Office Mac 2008), it will not wake up from sleep. If I close it while it is still awake, (which I normally would without problems before I upgraded) it will not wake up when I open it; the screen just stays black and I have to use the power button to restart it. This also happens when it falls asleep naturally after being on screen saver. It is a really big annoyance and I know that it must be damaging my computer.
Also, now it will randomly shut down if it does not have the power adapter plugged in, which never happened before.
ALSO, my CD burn attempts will fail midway and say "medium write error".
Can my computer not handle all of the new software I put on it or something? I feel as though it's slowly deteriorating, and it's not even 2 years old. Do I need to buy more memory or disk space? I am really clueless as to how to fix these problems. I'm only 16 and really can't afford to spend money on getting it looked at, so PLEASE helpWelcome to Apple Discussions:
You need to give us more info about your computer: RAM, speed, HD size, freespace etc.
Look at the activity monitor and console logs for potential issues.
Normally a computer will run faster and better with Leopard.
You need to take inventory of any Tiger apps that are not Leopard compatible that may be problematic. Also check what items you have in your login pane.
Have you recently run the disk utility and repaired HD and permissions? -
IPod Nano shuts down randomly and doesn't restart unless connected
This happened to me two days ago. I was working on a pool listening to a podcast, with the iPod in my pocket. I was wearing black pants and it was very hot, so I'm not sure if it's simply an issue of overheating, but what happened was while I was listening to the podcast the iPod completely shut down. I took it out of my pocket and tried to reset it holding the menu and center buttons, but the iPod wouldn't respond to this. The iPod was completely charged the night before so I'm sure this isn't an issue. I took it home and hooked it up to my computer and it worked fine. But today, it did the same thing, listening to the same podcast (TalkRadar) and wouldn't respond to the menu and center buttons again, but it responded to plugging it in to the computer. Something else happened, too, the iPod would turn on and off randomly even while connected to the computer and I would have to unplug the iPod and re-plug it back in. Does anybody have an idea of what the problem is? I want to know whether or not I should send it in for repair.
If resetting or restoring the ipod does not work, take it to an Apple Store. Let the staff examine it. If you have Apple Care, call them.

'10 MBP shuts down randomly and frequently
Hi,
My Macbook Pro recently began freezing and shutting down completely seemingly at random. I've turned graphics switching off in an effort to resolve the problem to no avail. I've switched browsers to see if Google Chrome was the cause but still got the freezes.
These freezes began once I upgraded to Lion and then to Mountain Lion. I've completely wiped the laptop and freshly installed the OSX but still encountered the freezing.
I took it to a local Apple repair shop and it did not freeze for them, yet I usually can't have it on for more than thirty minutes without a lock-up. They did clean the fans and I am still getting freezes.

If anybody has any suggestions for a fix or can lead me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. This is grinding my last nerve.
Processor: 2.53 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory: 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3I actually took it to my local apple certified repair shop and left out with them for a few days. when I went to pick it up, they informed me that my laptop hadn't shut down at all while they had it. they cleaned out the fans and didn't charge me.
I was skeptical and when I returned home, it immediately shut down three times in a row. I was prepared to go back with error report on hand but it suddenly began working properly. over the past week and a half or so, the laptop has only randomly shut down about three times.
I should probably still take it back in as I found a thread mentioning a problem similar to this on my model mbp that is possibly covered by apple. but, I've been almost satisfied by the much more stable condition that its been in. -
Envy 23 Shut down unexpextedly and wont turn on.
Hi.
My Envy 23 Just Shut down unexpectedly an hour ago and it wont turn on. I checked the power supply and let it cool for a bit before trying to plug it in again. It still wont work. I was going to assume that the pc overheated but now im starting to get skeptical. I bought this pc about a year ago and this is my second replacement. Im just a young boy and i really dont want to tell my parents that my second pc broke again. Is there any solution to this without telling my parents at all?Try rebooting it. Hold the HOME and SLEEP buttons at the same time until an Apple logo appears. This will take 10-20 seconds of holding.

Macbook pro medio 2010 shuts down randomly and suddenly
Hello
I have godt a Macbook pro 15" just over three years. The past 2 months it's been shutting down as described in the headline. It shuts down without a warning and it reboots automatically.
I get the following report when it's been booted up again:

Boot Camp shut down randomly and took 170GB of space with it?
I own an iMac and I was trying to install bootcamp. I started to partition the disk and I used 170 GB of space for Windows. It was almost half way when my screen froze completely. I had to force shutdown and I turned it back and everything worked perfectly. I checked my disk and it said I only had 10GB left. I did the math and I figured out whenever Boot Camp Assistant shut down, so did my space. Any help?
This can be fixed. First, make a backup of your files.
To do it, I need that you start your iMac from the Snow Leopard disc, holding the C key while your Mac is starting. Then, choose the language and go to Utilities menu (on the menu bar) > Disk Utility.
Now, you will see your OS X volume in the sidebar as Macintosh HD, so select it and repair the drive.
After doing that, select the hard drive at the top of the sidebar and go to Partition tab, so you will see a bar with Macintosh HD and grey space. The only thing you have to do is tp press Macintosh HD at the bottom right corner and drag it to the end of the sidebar. Finally, press Apply and restart the Mac -
My iPhone shuts down randomly and the only way to turn it on is to reset it, why?
It only turns on if it is charging and I don't know what's wrong it's been doing this since I bought it.
Make sure the battery is charged.
If it's not a battery issue, restore your iPhone.

My iPhone 4 shut off randomly and wont turn back on.
Well I was texting on my iPhone 4 and then when I went to look and see if the person had replied my phone was off! I tried holding the on/off button and nothing happened. Why is it doing this?? I have had it for about a month and idk if the color makes a difference but its white and yes I do have a heavy duty case on it. It has not been dropped in forever too. Thanks
I got it to turn on looking at some other posts.. Press the home and wake button at the same time while plugged in the computer for 10 seconds works
