PTO MODEL BOM VS PROFILE MSD:CALCULATE PLANNING PERCENTAGE

PTO MODEL BOM VS PROFILE MSD:CALCULATE PLANNING PERCENTAGE
After changing the profile option MSD: Calculate Planning Percentage to Yes,
for all Options and Option Classes, none of the PTO options, PTO option classes,
or ATO options for any model is showing up in the planning percentage
worksheet.
The only parent child relationships in the worksheet are those
between PTO Models or the plan gives the following message during plan download:
06/20/2007-11:27:56 -> Dependent demand has been disabled for this plan because no values were present in the bill of material.
We looked at Note 340026.1 and the customer created the plan in the DP
RUP9 environment and did like the note asked and am looking at the information in the lowest levels in Time, Ship From, and product which is Day, organization, and item.
But they still only see PTOs structured to other PTOs and not options for items and only see items that are either a PTO parent to another PTO or a PTO that is a child of a PTO.
Is this the way it should work?

Hi Bob,
I hope you are doing well.
Are they using a global BOM structure or a local org BOM structure? If global they need to select that in defining their demand plan and the also need to set the profile option for MSC: Organization containg Generic BOM
Check the profile option MSD: Calculate Planning Percentages. What specific value did they select? You can select to bring all the Options and Option Classes, which are specified as Optional in the Bills of Material regardless of the forecast control flag (even if the forecast control is ‘None’).
In defining the data stream (for example shipment history) ensure that the "Dependent Demand" checkbox is selected and that you have selected "Calculate and Read".
To calculate dependent demand for any of the data streams:
Choose Demand Planning System Administrator responsibility
Select Setup > Data Stream > Define – Advanced
Select a data stream and click Next button
Check the Dependent Demand check box and select Read or Calculate
To enable the dependent demand calculations (explode the independent model forecast) for a demand plan, ‘Calculate Dependent Demand’ must be checked. If the check box is not checked for a demand plan, bills of materials, planning percentages, or dependent sales history will not be used by the DP Engine for that demand plan.
Navigation:
Choose Demand Planning System Administrator responsibility
Select Demand Plans
Select the organization owing the demand plan
Select the demand plan
Check the check box, Calculate Dependent Demand
Select the bills of material to be used for exploding the forecast
hope this helps.
regards,
Kevin

  • PTO model item stuck at awaiting Fulfillment.

    Hi,
I created an order with only PTO model item and no options and booked the order. Order Line followed the Line Flow-Generic, Bill Only process.
Status is Awaiting Fulfillment..but even after running the WF Background process, it is stuck at awaiting fulfillment only.
WF status monitor displays Notified at Fulfill Line node.
I have checked for holds and fulfillment sets, they are not there.
All pointers to the above problem are highly apprciated.
    Thanks,
    Rahul

You may have a problem in how the model was setup or with the line type.
    1) Make sure that the line type is correct. Have you been able to ship PTO models using this line type?
    2) Go to BOM responsibility. Make sure you are in the org that is listed as warehouse on the sales order line. Open the INDENTED bom for the PTO item. Do you see option classes / ato models/ optional items. You have to have something there.
    Hope this answers your question

  • Any FM to calculate planned costs for a Maintenance plan

    Hi all,
Is there any FM to calculate planned costs for an Maintenance plan.
I can use report RISTRA30(IP31). but i need to use for multiple multiple Mplans and different time frames. using SUBMIT to this report and getting data will lead to performance in my actual report.
Please do provide any FM's or any other pointers for the same.
    warm regards,
    Sumanth

    Dear,
In maintenance plan you can speciefy - order type, task list type, task list group & counter.
when system automatically create service/maintenance order then system will determine plan cost, but for this you have to maintain planned price by t-code KP26.
And then you can see report by IP31

  • Not able to query the price of PTO model through Pricing and availability

    Hi all,
I book an order for PTO model through OM, i get the prices displayed,
if i query the same model through Pricing and availability form, to know the price, there is no item found in the LOV
The same model in istore, shows no prices in the catalogs.
    What might be the reason??
    Regards,
    PRasad

I think this could be because the configurations are created and priced dynamically at the time of order entry.

  • Change log for Distribution model and partner profile

    Hello All,
Could any one please suggest how to get teh change log of the distribution model and partner profiles in SAP.
    Thank you!
    Arvind

    Hello,
The documentation says what distribution model is used for. My question is can we have change log for any change in the distribution model like user, time and date.
In production system if distribution model and partner profiles are changed by someone to a destination which should not be used, then how can we trace who has changed it.
I hope I am able to explain.

  • Line Workflow for a PTO Model

    Hi All
I have a question regarding which Standard Workflow should be associated to a PTO Model.
I could see a standard workflow - "Line Flow - ATO Model" but could not find anything for a PTO model.
Line Flow Generic does not look like a good choice because it does not have a Configurator node.
    Pls guide.
    Rgds
    Vipul

@Vishal : Thanks for the reply.
After logging the question, I tried creating Transaction Type where I specified the Item Type to "PTO Model" and Workflow as "Line Flow - Generic".
Once I booked the order, I was able to see all the Option class and Items as different SO lines automatically (of the same line type). Once the workflow proceeded, the only difference that happened was that PTO Model and PTO Option Class lines remained booked and other (Standard Item) lines proceeded to Awaiting Shipping status.
After I Ship Confirmed the Standard Item Lines, the final status of PTO Model and PTO Option Class item lines became Closed and Standard Item Lines went into Status Picked.
    The issue is thus resolved.

  • How to calculate Sales percentage difference between selected year and its previous year in a Matrix

    Hi,
I'm trying to generate a report using matrix like this
                                                          Month
    Product     PreviousYearSalesAmount    SelectedYearSalesAmount      %SalesDifference
I can populate year sales amount, but i cant calculate the percentage.
    Can Anyone help me please.
Note: Month and Year are passed as parameters.
    Thank you.

    Hi Abhiram,
As per my understanding you can show your fields in matrix.
Only problem is to create the additional column which will have the  %SalesDifference value right?
    If yes,
Just create one column as shown in below screen,
It will create one column, Name the header of this newly created column as %SalesDifference
In below this header , where you want to show the value for %SalesDifference as
    =sum(iif(Fields!year.Value=Parameters!year.Value,(Fields!SalesAmount.Value),-Fields!SalesAmount.Value))/Fields!SalesAmount.Value
Set the property of the column in number as Percentage.
run the report, you will see as below screen.
For your reference I am attaching my RDL code, you can save as .rdl file and run the report (sample Data inside the report only)

  • Plan percentage

    Dear All
How do we get plan percentage day wise using progress analysis.? I tried period breakdown method but it only shows month wise.

    Hi
For Progress Analysis the lowest level is Month. You cannot get Daywise.

  • How to modeling BOM for operation which appears more than 1 time in a route

    Dears,
We have a route like below, operation OP01 appears 2 times in different sequence.
    OP01->OP02->OP01-.OP04
    (seq1->seq2->seq3->seq4)
How can I modeling its BOM to let user assembly like below
    OP01(seq1): use component01
    OP01(seq3): use component03
Since BOM maintenance can not set to assembly a component in operation at a assigned sequence of a router, so in the OP01(seq1), it will display component01 and component03 to let user assembly.
How can we handle this problem?
    Thank you.

    Ivan,
I looks like you are modeling two different operations as one operation. When process steps differ in the component you are assembling, it is almost always a gut idea to model then as separated operations (assemby component1 and assembly component3).
ME allows you to use the same operation several times in a route but they should really mean the same.
    Best Regards,
    Miguel

  • How to calculate planned tariff

    Hello,
Please, help me to sovle an issue!
    I have the following report
    CHAR    | Quant  | Amnt | Tariff  |
    |
    Char_1  | 100    | 200  |  200    |
    Char_2  | 150    | 300  |  200    |
    Char_3  |        |      |         |
    ...     | ...    | ...  |  ...    |
    Char_N  | 120    | 240  |  200    |
KF "Tariff" is calculated KF and equals "Amnt"/"Quant".
But in some cases mentioned values are absent (in case of Char_3). Nevertheless, I've to calculate or just to display this value for Char_3 as well.
Note, that value of tariff is the same for all CHARs.
In other words, I've to get the following report.
    CHAR    | Quant  | Amnt | Tariff  |
    |
    Char_1  | 100    | 200  |  200    |
    Char_2  | 150    | 300  |  200    |
    Char_3  |        |      |  200    |
    ...     | ...    | ...  |  ...    |
    Char_N  | 120    | 240  |  200    |
    Thanks in advance.

... and I'd like to add some information regarding this issue.
    We have the following report
    CHAR   | QuantP | AmntP | Tariff | QuantF | AmntF |
    |
    Char_1 |    100 |   200 |    200 |   120  |  240  |
    Char_2 |    150 |   300 |    200 |   130  |  260  |
    Char_3 |        |       |        |   150  |  300  |
    ...    | ...    | ...   | ...    |   ...  |  ...  |
    Char_N |    120 |   240 |    200 |   210  |  420  |
I have to calculate AmntF using planned tariff, which is calculated as AmntP/QuantP.
Planned KFs for Char_3 are absent.
Note, that calculated tariff is the same for all CHARs.
I tried to calculate this tariff using the following fromula:
SUMCT AmntP / SUMCT QuantP, but as result got 'X'.
Do you have any ideas to solve this issue?

  • Query on Papyrus UML models with applied profiles

    Hi everyone,
I'm using IncQuery for detecting changes on Papyrus UML models.
My UML models are applied with UML profiles created by Papyrus.
How can I query on models applied profiles that have the same stereotype name. How to distinguish stereotype name and UML model element name in queries?
For example, there is Connector and in the applied profile, there is also a stereotype named Connector. How can I use prefix name for this kind.
    Thanks.

Since 1.0.0, you can name imports and use the name as a prefix for types:
    import "umlNsUri" as uml;
    import "myProfileUri" as profile;
    pattern someP ( myParam : uml::Connector, myP2 : profile::Connector) {...}
