PTR Record not Automatically Created in dns server
how to config when client joint to domian PTR Record Automatically Created in dns server
Hi Farzad_en,
Based on my knowledge , you need to allow Dynamic Updates .
"Open DNS Manager. To open DNS Manager, click Start, point to
Administrative Tools, and then click DNS.
In the console tree, right-click the applicable zone, and then click
Properties.
On the General tab, verify that the zone type is either
Primary or Active Directory-integrated.
In Dynamic Updates, click Nonsecure and secure."
For details please refer to following link:

Hope this helps

Association is not automatically created between synonyms.
I use JDeveloper 11gr2. When using wizard to create "Business Components from Tables" using OE(order entry) schema to create entity objects, associations are not automatically created for entity objects associated with synonym. For example, when i launch that wizard with OE schema selected, I select Customer (table) and Employee(synonym) to create my entities. When the wizard finished, the association between Customer and Employee is not automatically created for me. When i drag these 2 entities to the business component diagram, there is no association link between them.
Thank you for answering!Customer table in OE schema have ACCOUNT_MGR_ID point to EMPLOYEE_ID in Employee table in HR schema. When I use create "Business Components from Tables" wizard, I expect association between EMPLOYEE and CUSTOMER to be automatically picked up by ADF BC which is not the case. Do i have to manually create association for Entities that are belong to different schema? Thank you.

Bookmarks are not automatically creating based on Word 2013 Table of Contents.
Bookmarks are not automatically creating based on Word 2013 Table of Contents. In older version of Word, the Style built Table of Contents converted into Bookmarks when PDFing.
I figured it out. There is a new checkbox you must turn on in Word 2013 when export to PDF that allows it to convert items to Bookmarks when PDFing.

DNS record is not dynamically created in DNS Zone, when joining to DNS domain
hi
in my test lab i have deployed two virtual machines (both are windows server 2008 R2 enterprise).
on vm1 i have installed just DNS role (without Active directory) and created a primary non-ADintegrated zone.
on this DNS zone, i have enabled dynamic update set to
non-secure & secure .
now in my vm2 (as a DNS client) , i set the ip address of this DNS server as preferred DNS server and then in system properties, on the primary DNS suffix field, i entered the name of my DNS domain (mydomain.lab)& rebooted VM2, but the a record of this
client (vm2) is not registered (created ) in mydomain.lab zone.
i respect the record be created like the situations which we join a client to AD domainHi John ,
When registering DNS record ,client will send a SOA query to find the primary server of the zone .Then send register message to the server .
We can use nslookup to find the problem :
Open Command Prompt
type nslookup
type set type=soa
type zone name
1. If there is positive response ,check the name of
primary name server and the IP address of the server .
Its name should be vm1.mydomain.lab .If not ,edit the SOA record in the zone .
If no IP address ,edit NS record in the zone .
2. If there is no response ,check the SOA record in the zone .
We can manually delete and recreate the records to ensure there are right SOA and NS records .
Here is the guide for using nslookup :

Delta record not getting created
Hello Experts -
I'm working with 0mat_plant_attr datasource.
In ECC, I made changes to some materials in MM02. I changed the values of MRP Type and Rounding Value in MRP1 tab. The data is saved correctly but a delta record is not getting created. In RSA7, no records are there for 0mat_plant_attr. MRP Type, Rounding Values are attributes of 0mat_plant. I did run the initial infopackage from BW to enable the delta.
Can someone please help me with this? I'm not doing something correctly.
Thanks!Hi Syed,
I think you may have to run an attribute change run after executing your infopackage to see the changes. The modified attribute needs to be set as active in by the attribute change run.
Master data & attribute chage run

PC not asking the alternate DNS Server after the primary is unavailable
Hello,
Our PCs are members of AD Domain and are configured to use two internal DNS servers, one as the primary and the seconde as the alternate. The two DSN server are DCs.
I've faced an odd probleme yesterday when I've restarted the Primary dns server ...The server started normaly but the DNS Server service didn't. All the PC's where unable to resolve IP addresses! When I looked closely I found the it was a dns issue, the PCs
were not asking to resolve name using the alternate dns server.
Is there a specific configuration to setup on the client PCs to overcome this issue
Best regards,Hello zinezine,
What is your current situation?
Have you try to check the firewall as mystifeid mentioned?
If the issue still exists, please refer to the following blog to capture the network traffic, upload it to OneDrive and share it with us.

Hi,
Just after quick confirmation if possible.
If a call comes in and gets queued on an IP IVR, then the IVR fails to deliver the call to an agent.
Should we see a record created in CDR?
Cheers,
Tim.Cheers for that.
Did some more digging. Looks like one particular callmanager (a sub) is not creating any CDR records. (i.e. not even creating the flat files)
There are some interesting DB Layer Monitor Service logs. But can you confirm - is the CallManager service the actual service that is responsible for creating the initial flat file?
How do we check the EnvProcessCDR?
Cheers,
Tim. -
Purchase Requisitin not automatically created at the network level
Hello,
We are facing an issue in the CJ20N
Project- WBS- Network Order- Activity- Materials are attached to it
For ex- Material number 23 is added to the network as per the business process the Purchase requistion will automatically get created.
Now we are facing an issue.
When we add the same material to the activity, the purchase requistion is not created auotmatically, we are not able to view the purchasing data tab.
The moment we add this material, it's stating reservation for network.
Previously it was showing up as purchase requistion for network.
Please help us in knowing what could be the possible reason for this behaviour.
Regards,
prashanthHello,
Thank you for all the answers,
I would need additional info from your end to moveahead with theprocess.
One thing we have observed is when we select a material and try to add it again, the procurement will automatically getting picked up as WE. and we can see the reservation in General data tab.
One more observation initially under the procurement parameters, under the value flow and /quantity flow.
intially it was showing up as 1, now it's showing up as Q
Please let me know where are these configuration done, since i am very new to PS module.

Record not getting created at backend
Hi all,
I have a U01 type syncbo for creating a record in the backend.
After the submission of record from my application i checked the worklist in the middleware using merep_sbuilder.The worklist is showing one Waiting entry,and when I checked the data its the same record that i have created from the app.
After many synchronizations too the waiting state is not getting changed to Success/Sent state.
Because of this the record is not reaching the backend.
Similar application(type U01 syncbo) with differnt tables and syncbo's is working fine in my environment.
Can anybody suggest something?
thanks..Hi Juhi,
Go to transaction RZ20 and check out if the corresponding BAPI is executed. And also check the traces

K records not being created on IRS file for 1099 reporting
My company went live on SAP in July 2008. 2010 will be our 3rd year to do 1099 reporting. When we generate the IRS file, we are not getting any K records.
Does anyone know what could be the problem?
Thanks
AliciaHi Alicia
We had the same issue & we referred to FAQ.pdf file in OSS note 1546868 where it asks us to add 'DELAY' to 'Atom handling' field in DMEE tcode for tree WTRE.
But the issue is that it created only 1 K record for the whole 1099 file but it should have created one K record per state. So we are still trying to get that taken care of somehow.
Thanks

When we initiate the flow , it opens up a screen and we populate data and click "SUBMIT".
It goes to ChangeAnalyst for approval.
It is working fine in Development Env.We could see a new task created for ChangeAnalyst once the requester SUBMIT's his task.
But in Test env, Once the requester submit's his task .It's not creating a task row for ChangeAnalyst in BPM workspace.
We verified the roles assigned to the user.Everything is same.
Repeatedly seeing the following error in LOGS.

in an attempt to transfer FSMO roles to the 2012r2 DC the first thing I ran was dcdiag /e /c /v and after correcting some minor errors, I came upon this one in the DNS portion where a SRV record is missing and I have no idea how to fix/remove this. there's
only two DCs, 200.5 and 200.6 where the former is a Hyper-V VM running 2012r2 and the latter is a physical 2003r2 machine. I was able to successfully raise the levels to 2003 and join the 2012r2 DC. this missing SRV record does not look fatal and only warrants
a warning from dcdiag, however I would like to fix this so there's no trouble down the road. I've tried ipconfig /registerdns, but no dice. here is the message I'm concerned about:

Warning: Record Registrations not found in some network adaptersHi Ace Fekay, thank you for your help. I hope you're still with me despite my lack of responding. I needed time to move the VPN server from the DC to a separate VM and then following your instructions to disable WINS Proxy and IP routing. Some of the delay
was when I had to restart the 2003r2 server after disabling those two items since that cause DNS queries to the Internet to go unresolved with only the 2012r2 server. That's been corrected, but running dcdiag /c /e /v still gives some DNS problems. Here's
the latest run of that...

We have a Server 2012 R2 DNS Server in our network.
The problem is I did a DNS test at intodns.com and it returned an error:
ERROR: No reverse DNS (PTR) entries.
While I've configured PTR for the domain name in DNS server.
ping -a command return domain address if I'm connected to internal network.
This is a serious problem since our users can't send e-mail from our mail server.ZoneType=primary
isautocreated= false
isdsintegrated= false
isreverselookupzone= false
issigned= false
For reverse zone
ZoneType=primary
isautocreated= false
isdsintegrated= false
isreverselookupzone= true
issigned= false
Sorry for changing format. -
I am interested in using Solaris 8 as an DNS server. Any advise on how I can configure it. I am new to Solaris 8, so any step by step advise is greatly appreciated.
Thanks a million.Hi,
I am sending the configuration for DNS. But before doing it take a printout and have a study and then do it. If you have any comments don't hesitate to contact me.
Thanks.

For example consider the following
Domain name universe.com
DNS server name wstsun
DNS clients wstsun1, wstsun2, wstsun3,
wstsun4
note: Use syntax, dots and space carefully.
Steps to create DNS server
1. Go to /etc directory and create a file called defaultdomain and enter DNS name (universe.com)
2. Reboot server by using init 6.
3. Go to /etc directory and create named.boot file.
4. Go to /var directory and create named directory.
5. Go to /var/named directory and create the following file
i) named.local
ii) named.hosts
iii) named.rev
6. Go to /etc/nsswitch.conf file and add dns before the hosts.
Example of each file
i) example of /etc/defaultdomain file  universe.com
ii) example of named.boot file
;named.boot file on the dnsmaster (wstsun)
;files required by in.named are located here
directory /var/named
; here are the names of the primary files.
primary universe.com named.hosts
primary 0.0.127.in-addr.arpa named.local
primary 0.200.200.in-addr.arpa named.rev

After creation of DNS database files run /usr/sbin/in.named to verify named server is ready for queries. If named daemon finds any errors in DNS database files you can find in /var/adm/messages file. Correct the errors in respective files and run daemon after killing old daemon by using kill command. By using nslookup command verify whether DNS server is responding or not.
Note: if you want DNS server to act as a client create /etc/resolv.conf and make the entries about domain name and IP number.
Creating DNS client
1) Go to /etc directory and create resolv.conf file.
2) Go to /etc/nsswitch.conf file and keep dns in front of hosts.
i) example of resolv.conf file
domain universe.com
nameserver 200.200.0.10
Note: resolv.conf file contains the information about domain name and IP number in which clients are located. Use nslookup command to DNS server responding properly or not.
