Pub to PDF help?

Does anyone know why I can't convert a pub file to a pdf using Adobe Xl Reader?

Adobe Reader cannot convert any documents. Microsoft Publisher should be able to do that.

Where can I find PDF Help files for CS5?

I have CS5 Design Standard ( without extended Photoshop) and I need to get the PDF help files for the component applications. I have tried entering CS5 Help Files and variations of that theme in the search box here at Adobe forums and get many things about CS6 and no Help files for CS5. The search tool here should be googleized or something. 2many adds for new things 2 buy not enough help for what you already bought.

Run the cleaner, reinstall.
Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
And don't bother with running any updates unless you really need them or they fix a critical issue relevant to your workflow.

It's standard 11pt type for the most part, so I don's see how it could be too small. Simply use the zoom options in Acrobat/ Adobe Reader, if you have difficulty reading it. There is no way to actually increase the font size and have the document reflow.

Where can I get PDF help files for Oracle9i?

In Oracle8 and Oracle8i, there were PDF documentation files on the install CDs for Oracle8i Reference, Administrators Guide, SQL Reference, SQL*Plus, etc., etc. Are these available anywhere for Oracle9i? I didn't see any documentation option on the download site or on the CD (except for the smaller subset of configuration help files, but I am looking for the larger reference books mentioned before).

Diosappearance of CS6 PDF Help Downloads

The updated versions of many of the PDF Help file downloads supposedly for CS6 are now actually those for CC - Premiere, AME, Encore, and Photoshop are all now faulty. The Audition and Bridge downloads cover both CS6 and CC. I do not know about many of the others as they are not of interest to me.
Can the correct CS6 downloads be replaced, please, and separate downloads for CC be added?

Be sure Safari does not have the Block Pop-Up Windows preference set.
Where I work now there are several unencrypted VLANs that require authentication, and Safari promptly pops up a window for me to register every time.

Duotones (EPS) for publication PDF (help!)

Hi, we have a series of duotone images for publication, created in Photoshop CS4.
The duotones are saved as EPS files, imported into InDesign and exported as PDF files.
We thought that would have been fine, but sight-unseen the printer is telling us he doesn't even know what duotones are (!) and that those duotones will have to be converted to CMYK and then exported again as PDF files.
Does this sound right? Do we have to do convert every image, or else it won't print?
It seemed to us that the duotone "mode" was designed for publication of b&w images, to increase tonality in the print. I figured that if they were saved as duotones and exported to PDF, that the PDF file would be sufficient. So, what then is the point of converting duotones if the printer is then going to turn around and say, nope, can't do it that way?
I checked instructional tutorials and Adobe "help," but can't find the answer.
Help would be greatly appreciated.

Revert back to the original four-color images in Indesign, or use a quick Image > Mode > CMYK action and the Image Processor script to convert the duotone images to CMYK.
I have found it hard / impossible to convert images on the fly from duotone to any other color space upon export from Indesign, but that's probably just my lack of expertise. You could also query the Acrobat forum; you might be able to convert the PDF to CMYK there with less hassle (though I wouldn't bet on it based my experience).

Flash 8 file upload .doc & .pdf help, please

So far I have found problem on page 73 where the image is over text making it undreadable and same problem on page 87 - is there a corrected version available

I just updated Acrobat Pro and now I am unable rotate and save .PDFs - Help!

I have Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro. I updated this via the Adobe site on Friday. Now I am unable to do two very important editing tasks that I was previously able to do. I am unable to rotate individual pdf pages within a larger set. I am also unable to rotate a pdf sheet and save it. Please help!

I uninstalled the update completely and reinstalled 9 Pro. I don't remember the version number of the update. I updated it on Friday so I assume it was whichever is the latest.
I am unable to save the file after I rotate the sheet. I can do a save-as, but it does not save the sheet as I rotated it. I am also unable to select and rotate an individual sheet within a larger set.
