Publish a Standalone movie

On Windows 2000 systems I´ve got the error message
"Fehler beim Laden der Typbibliothek/DLL." -> "Error during
loading a type library" during the start of the EXE file. Has any
one a solution for this behavior.

Hmmm. Perhaps some MS VB runtime files that are missing?
Though I doubt
Captivate is written in VB! Anything else unique to those
Windows
systems? Maybe try turning off the antivirus while
publishing? Or a
weird driver or something?
If there are Win2k systems this does work on, if you really
need to
resolve this, I'd audit a working system and a problem system
and try to
determine the differences between the machines...
Or maybe there are options in Captivate you can uncheck so
whatever
files it uses may not be referenced. If you're not using
Connect
(Breeze), there's no need to publish the Breeze Metadata.
Maybe uncheck
most everything and see if you can get it to publish
correctly...then
check one at a time til you get the error...

Configuring XML Publisher for Standalone EnterpriseOne 8.12

Could someone please help me in configuring XML Publisher for Standalone EnterpriseOne 8.12.
As per the installation guide for 8.12, I have created a new data source to SQL Server named EnterpriseOne Local.
Also, I have used "With Windows NT authentication using the network login ID" for this ODBC.
Now I tried :
Data Source Name : EnterpriseOne Local
URL : jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://localhost:1433
User : My NT domain ID
Password : MY NT domain password
Database Driver Class : com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver
in XML publishers admin tab, but it doesnt work.
Is the above setting correct?

make sure you can connect with "my NT domain ID"/"my NT domain password" in SQLserver Mangement studio express using SQL server authenication.
Try the setting using JDeveloper for DB conncection. If not successful then u must add the
sqljdbc.jar into your JAVA_HOME/lib

Can't do Publish/Publish Setting a movie in Flash CS3

I installed Flash CS3 while still keeping Flash 8. When I try
to publish/publish setting a movie, an alert pops up saying 'No
valid HTML Templates are available to complete this operation'.
Probably there was a conflict so I uninstalled both Flash
CS3, Flash 8 then installed Flash CS3 but the problem still comes
up. What is that?

The publish location is fine; it publishes to the same place,
like b4 the problem. Nice thought though.
What kind of problem could it have? And can it be fixed?
I've tried to rename it. Nothing.
It's a template that I've bought and I have the source file
in a ZIP, so every time it happens, after i've done some changes, I
copy them one by one, and then I publish it again and I'ts fine.
I'm sick of doing it...
What it be possible for you to check the file?

Bah! Publishing or "test movie" do not work on new machine. I
repaired all permissions, saved as different file names, and I
still get a "Be sure destination file is not locked..." This even
happens on Adobe's sample files! Fresh install (CS 4), fresh
operating system, new iMac. Thank you for your help, guys and
gals.

Nevermind, I got it. I had to change the publishing directory
to a different one.

Hi Corona,
The screen size is whatever you captured or specified during
the recording or new movie setup process. This will cause the
playback control to be placed "on top of" some portion of the
captured background, but there are two ways around that problem.
1) When you set the red recording area before recording, drag
the bottom of the recording area downward about 35 pixels below the
application window (assuming you are capturing an area that
includes a "bottom" or even an application window - grin). For this
to work, it is best if you do your recording against a
solid-one-colored desktop background, so the "extra" area at the
bottom doesn't include desktop images that you don't want in the
capture (even though that area will not be visible in the end ...)
OR...
2) Use the Project > Resize Project dialog to increase the
palette size on the bottom, taking care to leave the original movie
the same size. This will effectively do the same thing as
Suggestion #1, create a "blank" area at the bottom of the movie on
which there is room to mount the playback control bar.

I am trying to publish a FLASH 8 file as a QUicktime movie.
WHen I go to publish as a QUICKTIME it says to select VERSION
5 of FLASH. But when I click OK to publish, I get a message tha
tfeatures in the flash file are not supported by VERSION 5 of
FLASH.
What can I do?

what kind of quicktime do you need? there are 2:
1. a flash track in quicktime
2. a true quicktime MOV file (fixed rate, pre-rendered video)

Publishing a 15min movie clip with error -49. What is error -49

I like to know what is error -49 because I am trying to publish to youtube and it gives me the error after it tries to publish. Then I still get the same error if I try to create a MOV file. Please someone help me out.

Error code -2009--unable to publish or export movie

I have been using iMovie 09 for a while now without any problems. The footage I am editing and exporting into various types of files (avi, mp4, mov) have all worked fine but suddenly it stopped working and I am receiving this error code -2009. I have been trying to loook it up but can't find any answers that seem to help. The footage I am editing is from a digital still camera and is 640x480 VGA Video. The lower quality video seems to publish or export just fine (320x240) but the higher quality just stopped yesterday. Anyone have an idea what is causing this? I have about 40gb on each of my internal and external hard drives and, like I said, everything worked fine with both types of footage just a couple days ago. I have tried making new projects and re-importing the files but nothing seems to work. Tried restarting the computer. Searched for updates. All without luck. Anyway, I appreciate any advice.

The footage I am editing and exporting into various types of files (avi, mp4, mov)
Using strange file formats use to be a problem
eg .avi - is not a specific item - but a container that can hold material iMovie can use
and sometime (often) material coded in a way iMovie can't use.
Else - my old list on what to try
*Not knowing the origin to Your problem - General approach when in trouble is as follows.*
• Free space on internal (start-up) hard disk if it is less than 10Gb should rather have 25Gb
• Delete iMovie pref file - or rather start a new user/account - log into this and re-try
iMovie pref file resides.
Mac Hard Disk (start-up HD)/Users/"Your account"/Library/Preferences
and is named. *com.apple.iMovie.plist *
While iMovie is NOT RUNNING - move this file out to desk-top.
Now restart iMovie.
• Hard disk is untidy. Repair Permissions, Repair Hard disk (Apple Disc Util tool)
• Garageband-fix. Start it, Play a note and Close it. Re-try (Corrects an audio problem that hinders iMovie)
• Screen must be set to Million-colors
• Third party plug-ins that doesn't work OK (not relevant for iMovie’08 or 09)
iMovie updated ?
QuickTime updated ?
Mac OS version ?
• Program miss-match. iMovie 5.0.2, up to Mac OS X.4.11 AND QuickTime 7.4.1 - is OK
• Program miss-match. iMovie 6.0.3 or 6.0.4, Mac OS X.4.11 AND QuickTime 7.4.1 - is OK (might work under Leopard)
• Program miss-match. iMovie’08 v. 7.0.1, Mac OS X.4.11 AND QuickTime 7.4.1 - is OK (might work under Leopard)
From LKN 1935. (in this case = iMovie HD (5), I tried it all, but nothing worked.
Your answer (above) has been helpfull insofar as all the different trials led to the conclusion that
there was something wrong with my iMovie software. I therefore threw everything away and reinstalled
iMovie from the HD. After that the exportation of DV videos (there has not been any problem with HDV videos)
to my Sony camcorders worked properly as it did before.

Publishing quick time movie from a fla with embeded video

I'm exporting my flash movie as a quick time movie (setting
the flash version in 5 on the publish settings), and everything is
ok except that the videos that are embeded just dissapear. Is there
a way to import .movs into a .fla and still being able to export to
whole thing into quick time?

My guess is that you import video to flash using codec that
is not supported in
QT player. Do the following. Open new document and set it
right away to FLASH 5,
than import the video and you will notice your options has
drastically change to
very minimal. Anyhow, import, do whatever you wish to it,
export as QT MOV file.
Should work on first go. If does not, please upload that
video you trying to use,

Bypass publish on test movie?

Hi,
is there a way to restart a "test movie" without waiting for publish - if nothing has changed?
Or - alternatively - is there another way to run a flash player with an associated output window (under windows) and ideally to have "test movie" invoke that after compiling the swf file?

By refering to "test movie" are you talking about the Control/Enter? and "Publish" as publishing the .swf on a Web page?
Once you "Control/Enter" the .fla, a .swf file is created in the same folder as the .fla file. Once that .swf is created, you can directly run that .swf anytime by simple clicking on the .swf... there is no need to "Publish" to a Web page... or even Control/Enter if there are no edits to the .fla
I rarely "Publish" any of my .fla files (I hand code all the HTML).
Just remember that you must Control/Enter after any edits to compile the latest version of the .fla.

Publish to quicktim .mov

I'm currently using flash 8 and need to publish my movie to a
quicktime movie file. unfortuently its saying that you need to use
flash player 5 or version previous. Also I'm using transparent
gradients, so when I do try to publish the movie it says that flash
player 5 doesn't support the enhanced fill. Is there a way in flash
8 to export a quicktime movie? What do I need to change about the
gradients to get them to export?

there is no way to use new features while exporting to older
version, you need to
compromise on that to make the file flash 5 compatible.
The gradient tho should not be a problem, perhaps there is
something else you use ... ?

Using EMULATOR for standalone movie?

I have been trying to develope a game which is playable with

thought that i can make communication with bluetooth from
scratch. but as I
learned that F.lite doesnt support it. and to show my game
project at
school, i decided to show it via 2 standalone mobile
telephone emulators
thus, I will make communication via shareobject system.
is there any way to use mobile telehone emulator when movie
used as
standalone?

Simple, the first time you burned the file to an audio CD, CD's by default do not have DRM on them. The second time you just used the original file that was (ans still is) protected by DRM
