Publish Button Inactive

Our IT department recently installed Robohelp 9 on my laptop. I was previously using RoboHelp 5. When I select Generate and Save for WebHelp (Primary Layout) for RoboHelp for HTML, the Publish button is shaded/inactive. Our IT Department appears to be at a loss as to how to resolve this problem. Does any one have any suggestions as to how it can be resolved so I can publish my project?

Whether your Publish button is active or not depends on whether a Publishing Destination has been defined in your Single Source Layout recipe. In version 9, right-click the Single Source Layout in the pod and choose Properties:
Navigate to the Publish section in the left area of the dialog, then note what you see on the right. My guess is that you will find this area empty with no destinations declared. If that's the case, you will need to click the New button and define one. Otherwise, you will likely just click to enable any destination that is defined but not enabled.

I am trying to publish a folio I have in the DPS Folio Producer: Organizer panel, but all Publish related buttons are grayed out. The account I am trying to publish from has application privileges. The Publish Requests view shows the following message: There are no publish requests. What else could be preventing me from publishing the folio?

How to hide check-in, check-out and publish buttons

hi,
i am new here and hope someone can help me:
users of a community can edit some content items. they can open these items with this link (from administrators guide for al interaction publisher 6.5 p. 10-28):

the link works, users can edit the items.
problem is, that i do not want to show the "publish button" to the users. the content item should be published automaticaly after the user clicks on "save". i also do not want users to see the check-in, check-out and preview buttons. they should just open a content item (+ simultaneously check-out), edit it and save it (+ simultaneously check-in and publish and close the content editor).
i thought this can be done by the "view" parameter, but nothing happens if i use it. any ideas?

This is a common problem. A creative way to solve the problem is to point yourself to the description field of each input on a data entry template. When you have the need to make any dynamic changes to the entry templates simply drop some javascript into the description field of an input and write the appropriate javascript code to either hide buttons, change behaviour etc. When the data entry template is displayed to a user the javascript in the description field will be executed by the browsing. Fortunately publisher does not check the description fields or encode them so you can get away with a lot.
The only problem with this approach is while you are altering the UI the underlying data model will still allow users to publish. So if an unauthorised user saw fit, they could publish content.
Have you considered creating a workflow so that users in specific groups cannot publish? that way only a controller down the line would be able to approve and publish.

In a custom (Z) program you can make PF status buttons and subsequently their OK codes inactive by using the following command:
SET PF-STATUS 'STANDARD' EXCLUDING '&SUM'.
And if you need to exclude more than one OK code
data: itab type sy-ucomm occurs 0,
wa type sy-ucomm.
move '&SUM' to wa. append wa to itab.
move '&ADD' to wa. append wa to itab.
set pf-status 'STANDARD' excluding itab.

How do I upload an album to Facebook if the "Publish" Button is continually greyed out?

I have created 2 new albums from a recent trip. The pictures are all edited and ready to be uploaded to Facebook, but when I push the Facebook button, the "Publish" button in the dialog is continually greyed out and I can't publish. Earlier this evening, I published an album from my MacBook with no trouble, but the pictures I want to publish now have all been edited and put in albums on my iMac.
Also, I checked several earlier published albums on this iMac and they show an error message indicating that there may be something wrong with my login. I am logged in and don't know how to fix the problem.

Solved problem. Go to menu-file-export. Click on Facebook tab. Login and it's pretty intuitive from there.

The window doesn't automatically pop up now. When you plug the card reader in, you should see a 4th option on the lower bar of the photos app. I think it says camera. Tap on that then you can see and inport your photos.
If you are still having issues, try giving your iPad a reset. Hold down the sleep and home keys until you see the silver apple. Let it reboot and try again. It won't hurt any data but can clear gliches.

MobileMe photo upload Publish button is shaded.

I have signed up for the 60 days to try out MobileMe. Mostly I want to share photos that I have taken with my family and friends.
I have setup categories online where I would like to upload my photos directly from my iphone.
When I select the photo for uploading and type in a title and message the Publish button is not availble for clicking, below the message the words loading... just appear. I am guessing it is trying to load the gallery folders I created.
Any idea why this is not working?

I noticed there was a live chat on apple. They helped me resolve this by deleting my mobileme account and reinstalling it.

I found the solution .,,,
1) click on your current plan and press done your payment details will appear .
2) the first section is your plan and there is a botton "change" click on it
3) it will take you back to the upgrade options
4) press on the downgrade options
5) choose the 5 GB and the done botton will be enabled
6) click on it you'll back to the step number 2 , here read carefully you'll see that your changes will take effect after the current plan expired with the date.

Why is my Publish button not available?

I am trying to publish a generator for FCPX (10.1.4) out of Motion (5.1.2). My OS X is 10.10.2. However, when I select the "Publish as a Final Cut Generator" option out of the selection box in Motion (see screen shot: http://screencast.com/t/3ybVCuzSq) the "Publish" button become unavailable. What am I doing wrong?

You need to select the dropdown under Template Name and select or create a category for the generator to reside in.

The Publish button disappeared after upgrading to CS5, how do I get it back?

I am administrator for a site that just upgraded from CS3 to CS5. Until then there were no problems, other users would send me their drafts and I would publish them. Now the Publish button is gone and I can only review the draft. The users have writer roles, so they cannot publish either. Could you tell me what I need to do in order to get the Publish button back. For example how to change the workflow xml to get the same workflow that I had in CS3.

Here is the .xml workflow file that I changed a bit, but it still does not work how I want it to and I am not sure where the problem lies. I want to create a workflow where other users in writer roles send their drafts to me and I publish them. I changed the preconditions for publish into "$role == administrator". I don't understand why the button "Send for Publish" does not appear, since it is clearly in the options of this workflow.

MDS Add-in for Excel 2013 Publish Button stops working

We have users that are making changes in Entities and every 10-15 minutes they publish their changes. On occasion (pretty regularly) after they make their changes and click the publish button nothing happens. Its like the particular sheet just thinks there
are no changes to publish. They are doing some Excel filtering and copying by entering one cell and clicking lower right corner and dragging down.
They can refresh and still can't publish. They have to bring up the data on another sheet and then they can make the same changes they were trying to publish and it will publish in the new sheet. Its like the original sheet just thinks there are no changes
pending. There is no communication to MDS and nothing in windows or MDS error log.
This is a very poor user experience and is souring the users on the tool altogether.

Excel Macro to click on publish button of Master Data Services Add-in

I am creating an excel macro to perform extra validation and defaults whilst the user is editing the MDS entity. It will be added as a workbook add-in. At the end of the macro I would like to be able to launch publish. The MDS addin is a ribbon.
Does anyone have an example of how I can simulate a click on the Publish button or what the call that the button does is?

Publish Button is Gone!! Updated Reader 9.1

We just updated to Reader 9.1 and have noticed the Publish button/tools are no longer in upper right. Only in Tasks drop down.
In order to see the Tasks tool set you must right click tool bar and turn it on.
When re-launching browser, Task tools do not stick, you must re-check them/turn them on.
Are there plans to fix this issue? Oversight? or were this intensionally done?
I am a little worried that other features have disapeared with this new release of reader 9.1.
Please help anyone.

I'm thinking it was intentionally unintentional. I'm guessing that in order to fix the security flaw, they had to re-write some of the user interface, and didn't take the time to make it look like the previous version (because they promised a fix by March 11).
I realize this update was to fix a major security flaw, but why can't we have the same user interface? In version 8 and 9.0, it was so much easier to tell that you're on a document that was comment-enabled as well as easier to publish your comments. The ease of use was part of the reason we went with this solution.
Now what happens is you load the document (either in Reader or your browser) and it looks like every other document instead of having nice, clear commenting functions at the top of the window. Sure, it asks to connect to the commenting server, but after that, in order to comment, you have to add the "Tasks" toolbar EVERY TIME you load a comment-enabled document. That preference doesn't seem to stick - even if you load Reader and tell it to show that "Tasks" toolbar.
To make things even worse, this change only happened in the Windows version of Adobe Reader 9.1. The Mac version retains the same look and feel for commenting as in 9.0 and 8.x. So now, in order to create documentation, we'll have to make separate documents for Windows vs Mac users.
Adobe- please unify your User Interface again.

Grey out "Publish" button

Is it possible to grey out (~ disable) the Publish button when clicked?
Now it's not easy to find out if the action has been taken or not. Sometimes (referring to Flickr export service), it starts to show a progress bar after 10 or more seconds. It happened to me, at least.

Me too, can't publish, add or delete songs to existing playlists either.......really *****!......called tech support and they wanted to charge me $50 to fix it......yeah right, later ping!

How make a button inactive after the click ?

Hi,
how can i make a button inactive after i clik on it ? I need it becasue i have one button which play my symbol (made with this nice course https://blogs.adobe.com/edge/2012/07/18/tutorial-leveraging-independent-symbol-timelines/) but it's not working when the button is in the symbol where there is animation, it's only working when the buttons is a symbol on the stage and on the top of all over symbols, so when i clik on it works and play the symbol that i want but after is still active so i can't place another button at the exact same place of the first because it will play the first button and i need to put 20 buttons, anyone can help me please ? My buttons is just an empty rectangle so i don't talk about turn of the visibility but turn of th "activity"

Here is a sampe on how to use a next and prev buttons to change data.I have some other examples I will add later but this one could give you an idea on how to do it.

If you are playing symbols then use the rigth scope to get to them.
I would make a array of the symbol names and use it the same way like I did the array for the info.
sym.getSymbol(mysymbolArray[i]).play();
