Publish playlist itunes 11

I was wondering if there has been any more news on inability to publish or gift playlists in itunes 11.  This is ridiculous....

Me too--why the silence?  One of the best things about music is gifiting it!  iTunes--please fix or respond.

  • Publishing playlists in iTunes 11

    I can't figure out how to publish playlists in iTunes 11. Is this no longer possible?  Are there other ways to publish and share playlists?

    Seems to be yet another feature removed from iTunes 11.
    Regards.

    My audio stops outputting after a few songs in a playlist - itunes says its still playing, stopping and starting track recommences audio output.  Mac book Pro Lion 16gb ram.  Can be any song, any time, same song will play if I select it again.  Bit of a bummer itunes is the main thing I use (macbook pro jukebox).

    Most likely culprit is your Lacie drives which are notorious for flaky power supplies which cause just the sort of erratic behaviour that you describe. Have had similar issues myself. Lacie has been good about replacing my power converter-- twice. If you have seven of them, good luck finding the bad one or more. Like I said, the behaviour is erratic. Sometimes it'll work sometimes not. I can't comment on Samsung drives because I've never used them and have never heard anything about them. Same with Softraid. Why not just use Disk Utility. Sounds like you're ready for an external hardware raid. This will be much faster, much more reliable, and may even be cheaper than seven firewire drives. Check out G Tech, and Maxx Digital for starters.
    Best of luck

  • Trouble publishing to iTunes

    I created a 45-minute video in iMovie. After sharing to media browser I tried to "publish to iTunes" but it won't work. iTunes opens but nothing in iTune indicates it is doing anything and then iMovie is "not responding" so I have to force quit.

    It worked after an update to iTunes. Not sure if it was the update or if I was jst more patient, but either way it solved itself.

  • Update information for podcast published in iTunes

    I've been successful in getting the podcast published in iTunes however some of the information which are iTunes specific tage are empty. I would like to update that information without having to upload the mp3 file, which it will NOT do anyway since it already exist. How can the published information be updated?

    Hi Jean-Paul,
    Although I haven't actual experience yet in publishing to iTunes, I would guess that to update your podcast series artwork there, it is simply a question of dragging a new image to the top-most placeholder in your iWeb podcast page. As the message says when you mouse-over that placeholder: "Drag a new image here to replace it." ...Then re-publish your site to .Mac.
    The next step is extracted from someone else's post:
    ...Then you are supposed to ping iTunes and check back in an hour.
    Here's the ping url if you don't have it...
    https://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZFinance.woa/wa/pingPodcast?id=YOURFEEDHERE
    The "YOURFEEDHERE" is where you put your feed number from iTunes. It's in your acceptance email that iTunes sent you when your podcast was posted.
    <<<<<<<<<<
    ...But whatever image you drop into that particular iWeb theme's placeholder, it will appear distorted in iTunes because the iTunes artwork holder is square, not rectangular - as your placeholder and image is. Try using iWeb's "White" template podcast page instead of your current template. The White's top-most placeholder is square (245x245 pixels) and therefore should not distort your image in iTunes.
    By the way, Jean-Paul, I listened to the first episode of your "Flyfisherjournal" podcast on iTunes and found it both interesting and enjoyable - even though I've never fished before in my life! And the "tiny part of eternity" you mentioned can be found in any situation - by simply paying attention to the shapes and colors in your peripheral vision. • Since moving iWeb site my podcast won't publish to iTunes

    Ok, I have just recently moved my iWeb site from MobileMe to LCN and they seem to be hosting it fine EXCEPT my podcast is no longer downloadable from iTunes. This is obviously cos it's still pointing to the old MobileMe address so, using iWeb to try and republish the podcast from the new site I get the message "We had difficulty reading this feed. Bad http result code: 404"
    It seems to be the case that, since moving my site, I no longer have an rss feed to send to iTunes. I have asked LCN about this and I got this response:
    "Unfortunately we are not able to assist with this functionality of the iWeb software - as the publishing to itunes via the iWeb software is not something over which we have any control or any advanced knowledge to be able to advise if this functionality is simply not possible if not publishing to the Mobile-Me service.
    I would recommend raising this enquiry directly with Apple support as they should be more able to advise on a resolution to this problem."
    Does this mean I have just moved my site to the wrong people and should use a different hosting service or is there something I can do here? Please help, I'm kind of lost here!

    Web should create the RSS files automatically - there are links to them on the sites - and they should be at
    http://thetrap.co.uk/web/Podcast/rss.xml
    http://thetrap.co.uk/web/Event_Horizon_Crescent/rss.xml
    (two separate podcasts) but there are no files at these addresses. The first thing to do is to check that these checkboxes are enabled in the Inspector:
    though I would have thought the fact there are links to the feed would mean that these boxed were checked.
    Then you should do a Publish all files from iWeb, using the FTP option in the publish pane. (If you had simply copied the pages over from MobileMe, that could cause problems; you need always to publish from iWeb).
    If that doesn't do any good you have some ongoing problem in iWeb and the best place to ask would be in the iWeb Forum.

  • Changing artwork for a podcast published in iTunes

    Hello,
    I recently created my own website in iWeb and published it to my .Mac account. Then I added a few podcasts created with GarageBand, they are also published on my .Mac website.
    Then I submitted the podcast to iTunes. iTunes "took over" the artwork from the website with no author information, and there was no way in changing that during the submission. The podcast got approved but now the artwork that is used in iTunes is not really what I want. iTunes also lists "Unknown" as author.
    Have a look yourself: http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=211034820
    Is there a way that I can change that? Yes, I have read the techspecs provided by Apple, but I do not really want to go down to bits and bytes and, above all, want that everythings continues to run automatically. I do not want to make manual changes to code everytime I republish the site.
    Thanks for your suggestions, happy New Year by the way. Cheers,
    Jean-Paul

  • How do you access published playlists from the iTunes Store (am using iTunes 10.7 on a windows 7 machine)? There is no link on the music page

    Tried following directions in iTunes help, but there is no option on the music drop down box for playlists.

    Regards the size of apps the actual size of the apps is listed on iTunes
    Secondly you seem to be getting storage capacity/app size mixed up with RAM. They are two different things. The 64GB you have on your iPad is for actual storage of content whether it be apps, books, music, podcasts, video etc. RAM is the volatile memory that is used during the running of the iPad including the apps.
    The system requirements including the amount of RAM needed to run are not simply because unlike computers all iPads are the same regards the internal system specs. The only differences being the actual storage capacity and whether they have 3G capability or not.
    If you get an error message regards lack of system memory or RAM then doing a reset may help clear this problem. Unfortunately some developers do not optimise their apps properly for the iPad and it's not the first time an app has not run or crashed due to a lack of RAM. The best thing to do is to report it to the developer using the link on their iTunes app page.
    Regards memory leaks these do occur with both software on computers as well as apps on the iPad and iPhone. These are also due to badly designed apps or software and would need to be fixed by the developers.

  • Can't publish to iTunes

    There are no arrows beside my playlists on iTunes (6.0.4) so I can't publish or share them. My preferences DO specify "Show links to Music Store" but I still don't see arrows next to my playlists. I have unchecked the "Show links" box, restarted, and checked it again - still no arrows.
    Any ideas?
    thanks:)

    You have to highlight the playlist to the left of iTUnes, when highlighted the arrow should appear for that playlist

  • Publish playlist arrow not visible

    I can't see the playlist publish arrow in itunes. The pref setting described in a support search does not exist in my pref dialog box.

    Hi,
    The problem is in your HTML markup and well in the following portion:
    <ul id="MenuBar1" class="MenuBarHorizontal">
        <li class="class7"><a href="Consumers.htm" class="class7">Consumers</a> </li>
        <li><a href="#" class="class7"><strong>Providers</strong></a>
          <ul>
            <li class="class7"><a href="homehealth.htm" class="class7">Home Health</a></li>
            <li class="class7"><a href="hospitals.htm" class="class7">Hospitals</a></li>
            <li class="class7"><a href="nursinghomes.htm" class="class7">Nursing Homes</a></li>
            <li class="class7"><a href="physicians.htm" class="class7">Physician Offices</a></li>
          </ul>
        </li>
        <li class="class7"><a href="AbouteQ.htm" class="class7">About eQHealth</a> </li>
      </ul>
    To allo for the submenus the red coloured part should read
    <a class="MenuBarItemSubmenu" href="#">
    I hope this helps.

  • Quicktime Publisher and iTunes

    I am wondering if anyone knows if the playlists of audio and video that are generated in Quicktime Publisher can show up in my clients' iTunes copy?

    Eventually used a media server (Firefly) for this purpose.

  • Digital Signature/unknown publisher on ITunes download

    I cannot download Itunes to install on my new lap top because every time I do I get the message that the publisher is unknown/there is no digital signature on the download. Can someone help me install Itunes please?

    Welcome to AD!
    Several folks have posted that the problem turned out to be QuickTime, which iTunes requires and installs in a bindle with some other programs.
    Try installing the QT standalone program first - do you still get that publisher message?
