Publish SWF Output Options Export HTML

I have a number of projects that display the Export HTML,
Output Option of Publish SWF as checked and disabled. When I
publish the project the htm file is not generated. All of these
projects have SCORM Reporting selected and should be producing the
swf file, htm file and scorm_support folder, but all I get is the
swf file. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Raymond Sugel Sr

IThis is an aside but would be good for other newbies to
know:
what I learned and maybe you already know this is that when I
published (having htm selected) it generated an output folder on
its own!!! Lorn behold my htm, swf, and a file named js (?), I
think was in that folder. I would have never gone looking for
another folder but happened to see that was where I had placed by
1st cp project days earlier.

  • Why does the published swf output from Presenter 10 fail to play when the zip output is uploaded to my LMS?

On Win 7, using Presenter 10 the published output .swf (and associated files in the .zip collection) produces only a blank browser frame (both IE10 and Chrome) on upload and launch from the LMS. The index.html file is referencing two .js files that do not exist...
    <script src="./data/html/Project.js"></script>
    <script src="./data/resources/ha/wr_/OpenAjaxManagedHub-all.js"></script>
Also, seem to be missing a presenter.css file in ./data/html I think the presenter.libs.js file is referencing.
Are these files required for playback and correspondingly that's why only a blank browser frame is presented on the LMS launch?
Is it possible that when I publish to my local these files are not being populated in the output .zip for some reason?
Any help isolating the cause is much appreciated!

@Willam I am wondering if the first problem has not been properly described. When viewing generated help if you right click and select View Source, as you know, you will get the HTML for the tripane window. I think Rtrown wants to see the code for the default topic. If so, that is something like View this frame.
Turning to the last paragraph, there is also some confusion there.
When this first happened, I wondered if the project was corrupted, and I tried a technique I picked up a while ago, involving removing the xpj and cpd files from Windows Explorer, and attempting to restore from the *.FPJ file. However, I get a message saying 'This file is not an HPJ file. Please select an HPJ file to open'. The project does not have an HPJ file! So I had to rebuild the project.
First, you should only delete the CPD file in most scenarios. See Opening Projects on my site. Deleting the XPJ should not be done other than in a few situations. Secondly, you then restore from the HHP file, not the FPJ file. Not sure how you would do that. Finally an HPJ file is related to RoboHelp for Word and is its equivalent of the XPJ file in RoboHelp HTML.

  • How to publish swf file as streaming html on LMS?

    Hi Folks
When i try to publish a swf file it creates a html file and
works fine. but when its created in the folder. It creates a skin
file, 2 html files and standard file. When i publish it on LMS to
create a streaming flash file nothing is seen. Is there any other
way to publish. It is not a scrom compliant LMS. If that helps.
    Appreciate all the replies
    Thanks!

    Hi again
I think you are probably still seeing the _skin.swf file
because I don't believe that Captivate deletes the files prior to
creating the new ones. So you should probably clear the folder
before publishing again. Once you do that, you should see only
    three files.

  • Help with inserting a Captivate published SWF output into another master Captivate project

Can I insert a SWF (which is a Try It created and published using Captivate) into a master Captivate project such that the master Captivate project can access variables in the Try-It and do stuff depending on the value? (I'm using Captivate 6)

    Hi Lilybiri,
The things is that for the Try-It, I'd like to use the playbar but for the main project that houses the SWF, I don't want to have a playbar. If i insert the Try It as slides in the main project (instead of insert a SWF), the the playbar becomes global to the whole project.
Also, I would have a lot ot slides in the main project file since there are going to be at least 7-8 Try Its, which if inserted as SWFs sound management but if I insert the slides for each of them, my main project will have way too many slides.
    Advice?

  • Trying to publish swf in captivate 5.5. The 'Export to HTML' is greyed out. Why greyed out?

I'm having to take extra steps to open on internet explorer. It does have a quizz with eLearning Output 'Scorm 1.2'.  Want it to automatically open on IE.

    Hi there,
In Captivate 5.5 if you have published scorm package, then 'export to html' is greyed out because it by default publishes .htm and .swf in the published folder.
if it is not a scorm package, then you have a choice to only export the .swf.
Most scorm compliant LMSs accept published zipped output.
    Thanks.

  • How to hide/disable option "Export In Query Ready Mode" in HTML FR reports (workspace)version 11.1.1.3

    Hi all,
is there a way to hide or disable the option "Export In Query Ready Mode" for HTML FR reports (workspace) version 11.1.1.3.

    Hi Tej,
The feature, "to hide or disable the option "Export In Query Ready Mode"  has been introduced in Financial Reporting 11.1.2.3.
        Logon to EPM Workspace.

  • How to hide/disable option "Export In Query Ready Mode" in HTML FR reports

    Hi all,
is there a way to hide or disable the option "Export In Query Ready Mode" for HTML FR reports?
    Thanks in advance!
    Regards
    André

Yes, it is a cool feature but I didnt ask for it :-) Besides it doesnt work completely without errors/warnings:
If i click on the link and then on open (save xls works fine) an error message occurs: "Could not open 'http://<servername>/hr/hrget/modules/com/hyperion/reporting/web/office/HROfficeReport.jsp/test.xls?gridname=grid1&iInstanceId=18885&format=excel.2002&viewAs=query&previewDone=true&promptDone=true'"
After click on OK another error message occurs:
"Microsoft Excel cannot access the file 'http://<servername>/hr/hrget/modules/com/hyperion/reporting/web/office/HROfficeReport.jsp/test.xls?gridname=grid1&iInstanceId=18885&format=excel.2002&viewAs=query&previewDone=true&promptDone=true'. There are several possible reasons:
The file name or path does not exist.
The file is being used by another program.
The workbook you are trying to save has the same name as a currently open workbook.
After click on OK the XLS export opens correctly but the messages are annoying. Perhaps anybody can help me ;-)
    Thanks and kind regards

  • Resizing output when exporting to Flash/SWF

Does anyone know if there is a way to resize the output when exporting a Keynote presentation to Flash/SWF? When you export to QuickTime, you can adjust the output size. I can't find a way to do that when exporting to Flash.

I think that's because the Flash output displays at whatever size you want when you embed it into a website. For example, you can't create a Keynote presentation smaller than 200x200. BUT, if you create at 200x200 and then, in your embed statement, change it to 100x100, then that's how it will display on your web page.

  • Since upgrading to Firefox V5 I do not have the option to manage bookmarks e.g. import and export html

Since upgrading to the latest Firefox when I click on the bookmarks tab the option to manage my bookmarks is not available. Can this be repaired or will I have to do a new install of Firefox. If so will the new install automatically keep my current bookmarks or will I lose them. I cannot back them up because it is not giving me the option to export html.

I have to agree, fixing something that was working fine and replacing it with the new crap has led me to switch browsers.BIG FAIL MOZILLA
Why do people do this shit.
Turn off updating to keep your good working version or you will be forced to use the new version that is missing some well used features.

  • Publishing SWF in Adobe Captivate 3 produces no output

    Hi,
Until recently I could merrily publish SWF, Adobe Connect Pro, Standalone (.exe) in Adobe Captivate 3. Now on some of my "presentations" when I try to publish as SWF no output is produced. Although I do get the progress bar, and the usual messages saying that SWF files are being compressed, etc., and although I do get the green check mark representing a successful publish,  the "View Output" box is greyed out. When I navigate to the location where the SWF should be there is simply nothing there. Publishing to STANDALONE, on the other hand, works perfectly fine.
As I say, I can still publish to SWF with many of my Captivate 3 presentations. But with the others I can only publish to STANDALONE where everything including the "View Output" box works fine. All my Captivate 3 work is based on a single template so I can't understand how this could be related to preferences but I'm willing to try any good recomendation.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

I'm sure there are other forum posts about this out there but
I think this is how you do it.
In Captivate go to the Project menu and open the Skin Editor.
On the Borders tab you need to switch off borders.
I think this should give you one file when you output but you
will have to check whether the skin now covers part of your
    presentation.
If so you may need to resize your project height to include
the height of the playback control. Go to Project > Resize
    project.
    Hope this helps.

  • Export HTML button greyed out

i am new to captivate so please bear with me. i would like
the output of my video to be an SWF only without any html files. i
have an option called export html on my publish video screen but it
is greyed out. is this what i need to only have my output as the
SWF file? if that is what i need, how do i get it ungreyed out?
also when publishing my video is there any other formats other than
SWF? any help would be appreciated.

    Welcome to our community, lorilrp1
Is the "Full Screen" option selected? If so, this is why the
Export HTML option is disabled. If this is the case, you end up
with TWO HTML files. One has _fs in the file name and is intended
    to point your user at.
The only output formats are .SWF and .EXE.

  • Captivate's lack of output options

We have had major problems with the conversion of Captivate's
SWF files in an effort to create an AVI from which to edit within
Premiere Pro. We tried three differnet conversion software packages
including SoThink. When we load the Flash file, these converters
only see the first 150-180 (6 seconds) or so frames -- in our case
the videos are thousand of frames in duration. Captivates playback
is fine but there is something about their Flash creation or their
instructions about how to export it that is lacking. You will note
that there are several associated SWF files created. If you use the
largest of the created SWF files, it plays back as expected within
a web browser with full duration, but when you load that same file
in a converter, only the first several seconds are recognized.
What is unbelievable to us is why there is only a Flash
output option. After all, Adobe is a video editing player ---don't
these development groups consult among each other. Captivate is a
powerful application. But not having multiple output formats is a
    MAJOR, and unforgivable design omission.
By the way, don't try Flashants's SWF2 Video Plug in for
Premiere that is supposed to allow you to import SWF files. It will
crash Premiere. We tried several times.
We have been tearing our hair out with this problem and will
welcome any advice. Let's all appeal to Captivate to get output
    options!!!!!!

  • How to set default size for published SWF in Catalyst CS5.5

I create a 800*600 pixel project in Catalyst CS5.5 and published it as .swf.
But when I opened the published .swf, the default size is smaller than 800*600. I have to resize it by myself.
So is there any method that I can set the default size for published .swf?
    Thank you guys! Best regards.
    Nick

When you start new Flash Catalyst project, you have the option to enable resizing
This setting is enabled by default.
If you need to change this later, you can go into Modify > Artboard settings.
Now when you publish your project, the width and height will be used instead.
As to manually editting the HTML file, there are 3 tag sets that define the width and height of the project (to handle various browsers). You will need to adjust the values in each of those tag sets. You should only need to do this if you can't republish the file.

  • Sizing Issue from SWF output?

Sorry to flood the forum with questions. I'm in the first of
what will likely be a number of late nights as my first major
captivate project went from green light to red light status in
about 15 minutes when I had my first demo.
Ok - our company standard (as defined by the one other person
here who has developed Captivate elearning) is to size
presentations at 1014 X 713 . When published as an executable, our
standard practice, this fits nicely in a 1024x768 resolution screen
while allowing access to the start menu and the window bar in
    Windows.
A customer requested a SCORM compliant presentation for
integration with their LMS. I can only publish SWF if I'm SCORM
compliant. Even though I removed the margin in the skin settings,
whenever I publish in SWF and open the html file with Internet
explorer, there's a border/margin around the player and the screen
now requires scrolling. I did notice that if I open the SWF file
directly with internet explorer, it seems to automatically resize
to the IE window, which hurts the image quality.
I've been troubleshooting and testing for several hours and I
can't seem to find any way around this issue other than to just
resize the whole thing and spend hours more fixing all the text
that's affected or start over. If SCORM compliance stays a
deliverable, do I have any other options?
Thanks in advance for any insight you can share!
    Andrew

    Hi Andrew
Normally I don't recommend resizing Captivate movies -- but
in your case, having put a lot of work into completing the movie at
1014 X 713, it's probably your only option for a quick fix. Rather
than rescale the slides (which will inevitably result in loss of
image quality) I recommend that you choose the Crop option (beneath
"If new size is smaller"). Also deselect the
Maintain aspect ratio option to ensure that you don't end up
unnecessarily reducing the height of the movie too. Hopefully you
won't lose any critical information at the sides of your movie as a
result of the crop -- you will need to test carefully for this.
    Best regards,
    -Matthew
