Publish Under Different Name

I've recently created a few color themes that have been
published under someone else's name. After creating the theme, I
click "Publish." The new theme appears in "Newest," but is not
saved to "MyKuler." I'm wanting to create and store several themes
for creative projects and classes, but I'm finding that I may have
to recreate the theme in order to have it saved in MyKuler. Any
ideas?

Hey Sami! Thank you for getting back to me. At the time that
I encountered the publishing problem, I was using Safari 2.0.4 on
Mac OS 10.4.8. I tried switching to Firefox, but there appears to
be little difference in behavior between the two. Could it be the
amount of users and/or the time that I login into Kuler? The two
themes are "Graze," and "Hefeweizen," ... On occasion, I'm asked by
Universities to step in for design class discussions and for
presentations. More or less, I'm always striving to be aware of
technology and trends (color, especially) in order to keep up with
the design world– thanks for asking. Any help with the
aforementioned quirk is much appreciated!

But, you wrote something wrong.
There is a "Duplicate" item, a "Save a Version" item and there is a "Save…" item.
(2) The reproduced help page clearly state that the first step is to trigger 'Duplicate' For the second step, it's not clear. It seems that the ones writing the Help were not informed of the definite choices made by the developers. They wrote "Save As" but never was such an item. It was "Save As…" in which the ellipsis is an important component. At last, the developers defined two items : "Save…" and "Save a Version" ( at this time I'm running 10.6.8 so I can't check if this item has or hasn't an ellipsis).

FILES UNDER DIFFERENT NAME

I have recently had 500 CDs produced for a band and when I put the CD into my mac and run iTunes it comes up as a different title/artist and genre. I believe that I didn't name the files anything when I burnt the master. Can this be fixed so iTunes reads the correct name or lists the CD as untitled or something similar. What do I do next time I am having CDs manufactured so I get the correct listing? Where does the fault lie? Regards Peter Nelson.

When ever I put in a new to my computer audio CD it show track 1,2,3 etc and the Disc name is also generic in nature. After I label the info either by CDDB or enter the data by myself and I reinsert the CD the info shows up. Try and rename all the info - eject the disc then put it back in and see what happens. The data base is in your computer and it "remembers" that disc. Even after 4 years it will remember. I have even chaged hard drices - cloned of course - and the "old" data was still there. See what happens when you insert the CD into another machine. I suspect it will be generic in information (track 1, 2, 3 etc.

If you have iTunes 11 on your computer then you can enable the left-hand sidebar on it via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC - when connected (and if your computer's iTunes is up-to-date) your iPad should then appear on that sidebar under a 'Devices' heading :
If you select the iPad on that sidebar you can then use the Movies tab on the right-hand side of the iTunes screen to select and sync that film to your iPad's Videos app.

Can I have the same printer installed multiple times under different names?

On WIndows I have the same printer installed multiple times
All using the same driver
I have a Canon printer that has a rear tray and a bottom tray
So, I will have one printer that prints to the rear and the other to the bottom
Other printers (the same one) will be set so that they print in high quality and in duplex for example
I'll name the printers 1.Canon 2.Canon 3.Canon etc
So, when I go to print, I just hit a number on the keyboard and the printer I want is selected
Can I do the same on my laptop?

Back Up - that's in case things go wrong.
In the case you cite:
You have
Mother
Mother Maiden Name
as Faces, right?
In the Corkboard view click on Mother Maiden Name and delete the 'Maiden Name'.
It will disappear and all the photos will be in the Mother face.
Note that 'Mother' and 'Mother ' (that is, with a trailing space) are not the same.
You can also just edit the name 'Mother Maiden Name' to 'Mother'
As for photos staying in manual sort, I can only say that mine do. But as I've no idea what troubleshooting steps you've used.

Duplicating an IMovie, making changes and Publishing under a new name.

I've created an IMovie and published it to Itunes. IMovie gives me the option to "Duplicate Project" which I did as I want to use the same basic movie but change photos, music, etc. and then Publish it under a different name to Itunes. However, when I make changes I only get a warning that I've made changes and need to RE-Publish it. I don't want to do that as it seems it would over-write my existing IMovie--and I want to keep my original version.
How do I get IMovie 11 to recognize this is an entirely new Project? Any help is appreciated!

Thank you Matt! That is what I was hoping to hear. However, I'm still a bit hesitant to go thru with this as it appears that my duplicate project and my original project both have the exact same name. Will it give me an option to rename by project once I hit the Re-publish (misleading as it is) button--or will it give it a new unique name or just how will it differentiate between the 2 projects?

If you are working under Lion and the latest version of Numbers use File > Duplicate and then Save.

I have been creating forms in InDesign and pulling into Acrobat XI Pro to do form fields. My client would like to fill in the PDF form using Reader, save under a different name locally on their device, and redistribute. The problem I have is that, sometimes, they want to redistribute the form as Read Only. I know how to flatten the form on a mobile device, but uncertain how they can do that with a PC or Mac using Adobe Reader. I looked at FormsCentral thinking there might be a solution going that route, but don't believe there is. Any advice?

FormsCentral won't help with flattening a form. You could set up the form in Acrobat so that the fields are set to read-only, using JavaScript. Not quite the same as flattening but it's the best Reader can do.
Note that when Reader is used to e-sign a document, it gets flattened, but this won't be possible if you need to Reader-enable the form and under certain other conditions.

Hi. I have been using logic pro on the computer at music school... A Mac pro... Anyway, I was recording a friends band. W got some awesome takes down. I was then doing a little post, saved the file as one name and then stared working on it under a new file name. Anyway, logic came up with a splash that asked if I would like to delete the original file, and I clicked yes, as I thought I had saved the session under a different name just earlier. Anyway, I lost everything. Ok... Shirt I thought... But I managed to find everything in the recycle bin. Except one awesome take of an awesome song, I am a little bit heart broken as I've gone though the sessions undo file in quite some detail, but I seem to have lost it. I have access to the file on my Mac at home (MacBook pro, and logic express 8 I think) cool that I can open logic pro files in logic express, but anyway. Anyone want to offer me any solace? I think a solution might be too much to ask for....

If you were using OSX 10.7 then you could go back to a previous version, but you have overwritten the file.

The SIM wasn't replaced; if it were, you wouldn't have been able to locate it.

How to open Excel Template save it under a different name and then write and save data to it at regualar intervals

I have an excel template that I have created. I am opening that template, saving it under a different name, and then writing and saving data to that excel sheet at regular intervals. It is giving me an error 5, I understand what this means and I am trying to work around it. However after too many hours spent trying to figure it out, I have asked for any help or input. I have attached an example vi, not the actual one since it is very involved.

This snippet encapsulates most of the previous suggestions, and adds a few of my own.
The first code shows one (simplified) way of building the output file name. It incorporates the Build Path function to combine Report File Path with the file name (don't need initial "\"), builds the File Name with Format into String, getting the Time part of the name from Format Date/Time String. I also use Build Path to get the Template path. Inside the For Loop, another Format into String gets the data that is placed in the 10 Excel cells. We don't write anything yet -- we're only filling in the cells in the WorkSheet (think of how you use Excel -- you could, but probably don't, save the WorkBook after every cell entry, you wait until you are all done and then do a Save, followed by closing Excel). Finally, when we are done, we save the file using the output name we want to use, then close Excel (which disposes of the Report Object). If we want to generate another report, with another (time-based) name, we can put this code into a sub-VI and simply call it again.
Don't worry if you don't have LabVIEW 2014 (which was used to save this snippet) -- most of the code comes from the original that you posted, so it should be a pretty simple edit to change that code to match this.

We've inherited an ACE SM 3.0 (A5.1a) config, where we noticed duplicate class names under different multi match policies, similar to this:

It's always first match. If if the first one satisfies the condition, we don't even look at the second. We would move on to another type. I guess below explanation would answer all your doubts.
The term "multi-match" refers to execution semantics of the policy; In other words it depicts how the actions are executed for a given flow that matches the classifications in the policy.
The policy has multi-match semantics because the policy allows configuring multiple types of features like loadbalancing, NAT inspect etc; so potentially this policy can result in taking multiple actions (if multiple features are configured) for a given matching flow.
Now given that there can be multiple classifications configured for the same feature type within the policy, the rule is that we always execute *only* the first matching action for a given feature type;
for .eg consider the below;; just for brevity I am ommiting the exact syntax
of the cmds

For an incoming flow, we try to match and *execute* *ONLY* the action specified
against first matching class per feature. In otherwords, if flow matches class
LB1 then we will execute "loadbalance action L7-1" and we wont even try to see
if class LB2 matches as it is of the same feature type. Only if class LB1 does
not match we look at LB2. However we continue matching other class'es since
they have different feature types;
This happens for each feature type; Essentially between the class-maps of same
feature type think of this as first-match and across features its multiple match.
potentially for above policy the flow can match the below possible classes:
LB1, NAT1, INSP1
LB2, NAT1, INSP1
LB2, NAT2, INSP1
LB1, NAT2, INSP1
but the below is not possible;
LB1, LB2, NAT1, INSP1
LB2, NAT1, NAT2, INSP1
you can visualize the above multi-match policy like below; (pls note that below
syntax is not supported and is strictly for illustration purposes only) below has
policy types per FEATURE and each such policy can result in ONLY ONE match/action
being executed;

I have a question on creating the DC in development prospective from NWDS 7.3.
My requirement is as below.
We have the below DC and SC structure.
SC <ABC_SC>
    DC <XYZ_DC>
SC<DEF_SC>
    DC<PSQ_DC>
both the above SC's and DC's are already checked-in to DTR. Now the question is can I create the same DC<PSQ_DC> under first SC? Ex as shown below?

As I have developed web dynpro project it will be lot of difficult to create the dc with different name and move all the code? can you please let me know the possibility? would there be any naming convention issue and if yes, what would be the ideal solution for this scenario.

Currently both the DC's on different SC's has been checked in to DTR as shown and explained in scenario1. However, if it is possible to create the same DC under first as shown in scenario 2. Then I'll delete or stop using DC<PSQ_DC> from the first scenario from DTR.
